By the 'respawn trend', he means 'respawn back home with the portal closed on 'em so they have to view it on the screen until it finally ends', I think.

Yep.

Although, maybe not. As I could use Rapture’s resurrection tech to revive gladiators that have fallen, who caughted the eye of VictorNet nearing the end of the roleplay to battle Patient Zero and whoever strikes the first and second final strike would be the victors of the tournament though this proposed idea is unlikely to happen.

And if they strike at the same time, how will we determine, who gets first and second prizes?

Also, that prize keeps me intrigued.

Wonder, if Soldier actually beats that "Hippie" Casey James, like he beat John Walker AI with a hell of a shot. Such a flying artillery.

VictorNet has a keen optic so you’ll when that time comes. And they’re could be only one prize, as I did not say the current remaining gladiators would be working together and for what the prize is exactly? Well, that’s a surprise.

The Rapture Republic wrote:Yes of sorts. We haven’t fully flushed out the framework for it yet. Zeon and I will be discussing more about the Pheonix Alliance during the weekend on discord’s voice chat. Which we been using for awhile, as our nations are joint canons. Plan to have the Alliance’s thread out next week, before the Summit.

Thanks for answering. I liked this RP and the way RPers entered their contestants because it fits with the overall NS canon. As in various universes in different time periods and with different laws (so some can have magic and some can't) and the respawn makes it so that this competition is a multi-versal thing. It's hard to explain but I like it. Will definitely be joining the Phoenix Alliance thread, probably with Veil.

Actually, thinking about it, I might submit Task Force 2 into the Phoenix Alliance.

could you imagine if this was a game like overwatch or super smash bros where our characters could be playable though? I'd so want to play it. Definitely would either be a Bjorn, Soldier or Oni main.

Super Smash Dawn of Champions is a Black Guard only game, if you don't main Black Guard you're going to get left behind

Try hards would play Daniel or Erika for the handicap.

I actually feel like creating this. Maybe we should create a system for doing this, if anyone is interested.

And people would play as Kirve if they wanted to be a dude with a gun, and Veil if they want to run around shooting people. The rush gamers get from playing an incredibly weak character.

Liked Red Redemption and Red Redemption 2? Or perhaps played Call of Juarez? Take Stan Dixon. He is basically mix of sniper (winchester), spy (knife and revolver), demoman (drinks alot) with engie's replics.

Meanwhile, Engineer would probably be a nightmare to deal with and so would Soldier.

Then again, I always envisioned it more as a first person MOBA like Overwatch, or maybe even a battle royale-type game a la Fortnite. In which case, stealthy characters like Spy, Veil and Oni would be a pain in the ass for anyone who wants to play someone like Daniel, Erika or Stan and especially technologically-based characters like John Walker AI where Spy can sap them. And with the way Astre is, there's no doubt he'd be a Genji-like character if he always had his ultimate on.

And this isn't even accounting characters we have yet to see or non-prevalent ones, like the UCP's super-strong Tavish or the Zeonic mechs.

But a Smash Bros type thing is fine too. Astre, Bjorn, Scout, Oni and Daniel would definitely be the meta. Hell, we could even reference other NS nations (with their permission), like having Valentijn, Walter Sobchak or Pieter van der Blekkenhorst as assist trophies or side characters if full-on fighting isn't going to be their thing.

Haha, fools, everyone knows Astre's grab range will never be nerfed.

Looks like my characters are this:

Stan Dixon has some decent melee, but mostly focused on ranged.
John Walker AI has all weaknesses and strenghs of the machine. Can be sapped, but never tires.
Casey James is a bit like scout, but tougher.
Bjorn of Steel is basically a meatgrinder in melee and can tank alot of damage, but doesn't fight on long distances.
And Seth... well... just a pretty generic fighter.

I wanted to make an app, but I kept getting all indecisive and unsure where to go with it, so I guess I should probably wait until the next time there's one of these.

My characters:

Mark (Out of match): Sniper, but can’t handle close range. Does a lot of damage but has little HP
Via (out of match): Your typical support. Mediocre short-range and HP, but bad at long range
Kirve (out of match): speedy, lightweight, armored guy. Good damage, good HP, Mediocre long range
Veil (in match): Sneaky, good short and close range, bad at long range, durable but only thin armor. Mediocre HP (especially up against sniper bullets)

I'm waiting for the mechs... Daniel has an ace up his sleeve...

Astre would be a mid-weight, mid-high-speed, floaty character who fights not quite like the FE characters but more on a disjointed, mid-ranged, multi-hitting basis with a few physical attacks.

Now let's see, how Bjorn will fare agains Pyro, Casey James, the "Hippie" against Soldier, Stan against Daniel, and what Zeonic mechs will do. And who will smack Patient Zero and get the prize, whatever it is.

Oh I didn't expect this thread to be so full of speech. How wholesome.

I gotta question, will the two areas ever merge. I wanted to have Oni in One and Low in the other but I ended throwing them in the same one.

Also I gotta mention that I had hella respect that Greater south when taming on me and Skyhook at the same time.
I planned for it to play out far differently but I guess it had a similar outcome. Oni will definitely be coming back for a round two but I am not sure when.

Everyone is or near the Cargo docks, as that is where the most fighting is happening.

Because actually choice between three areas was a choice without actual choice. Folks took 1st gate becasue there are good positions and no attrition from enviornment.

Daniel didn't actually take a gate either, he rode off into the volcanic wastes and ended up beneath gate 2... When he saw a whole legion walk out followed by arch angel Mcgee, he took off towards gate 1 lol
