So is this still a thing? And will Hurti mercenaries need to intervene in order to ensure future payment? Or will they just get sent directly to ops in Romania?
-Intervention would likely be limited to securing Sperenberg Airfield (Pre-Deployment Base) and Berlin Schönefeld Airport.

Because explosions in the capitol and shootings in the streets seems intervention-worthy if our forces wish to be paid by the current regime.

Although I suspect Hurti intervention this soon would throw a brick into the gears of this RP, since I do not suspect your crew anticipated armored intervention so early.
-Especially when "less than lethal" has to be improvised from live explosive rounds... such as bouncing WP shells amongst crowds, using ricochets off pavement from live MG rounds, and high-airburst of thermobarics as ten pound flashbangs.

Hurti armored response time to the hospital-shooting would be about 20 minutes. Less (10 min) if we're given priority over the roads.
-The only other delay would be if the staff at the hospital pulls a Stoneman-Douglas and fails to report an active-shooter until after it's over (if at all).

WHEN WHEN!

1. Soon as I figure out how to employ armored vehicles in a manner that won't totally derrail your RP.
-The unit was hired, according to the TG, to help round up communist and socialist sympathizers elsewhere in anticipation of the signing of the anti-communist act. And are more-or-less just in the area prepped for that mission instead when this happened... a mission that would have involved kicking-in doors, blowing up bunkers, and only taking prisoners if it was worth it.

As such it would be a fully-armed combat-unit trying it best to defuse a powder-keg blindfolded with a sledgehammer.
-Because when all you've got is a hammer, everything that stands out to you as a problem starts looking like a nail.

2. Or I can RP the unit naturally and disregard any rails encountered.


3. That, or my mercenaries sit tight and leave it to you to keep your own house in order.

I guess I'll be mobilizing my forces, this weekend, then. IC ETA would be about 7 minutes after the shooting at the hospital were reported.

Not sure if 7 minutes is enough time for your forces to escape, though. If they took more than 5 they could take pursuit of the fleeing gunmen.
... um... their minivan isn't rated to take on anti-tank guided missiles.

And a no-escape situation would resault if their destination happened to be the airport or in the direction of the Riechstag/airport.

Edit:
Probably a good time to note, that although a thermobaric shell placed inside the control-tower would probably level it, one going off about 200 feet away would just rattle the glass.

Fragmentation would be minimal for several reasons, firstly the shell-casing is exceptionally thin to reduce any resistance towards creating blast, and secondly the greater blast pulerizes the casing into smaller fragments that will niether travel as far, nor carry as much energy to be lethal.

Note, that despite being a 1-ton FAE, the telephone-pole is fine.
