CONTEXT NOTES

1 - Necromunda - In the Pharaistic pantheon, Necromunda is a strange god of death, trickery, and the esoteric arts, who entered the pantheon when Ancient Manae came into contact with Ancient Akhmanar, explaining his different name. He is seen as the mortal enemy to the brother gods Horet and Sebek, the respective tuletary god of Akhmanar and god of the afterlife, whom often put aside their quarreling to fight him. Necromunda would ride into astral battles on his dark steed, Malachor, where most tales would depict him as only being defeated once the two bothers put aside their differences. A strange sect of Pharaism believes that Necromunda, who was aggressive towards humanity, was entombed by Atum in the Valley of the Dead in Aenara, and will one day rise to enact his vengeance on humanity, starting with Aenara.

CONTEXT NOTES

1 - Nephon - In the Pharaistic Pantheon, Nephon is the younger sister of the goddess Armun, the goddess of truth, justice and harmony, who is commonly represented as a female humanoid with a jackal head or jackal-like features. Nephon is a protective goddess associated with luck, good fortune, joy, and love, and is commonly represented as a beautiful woman with a headdress of cow horns and a sun disk. Her role as the goddess of love has often brought her controversy due to many of the hedonistic rituals and esoteric practices associated with her dedicated Cult. A dedicated temple to Nephon was built in the city of Kipisi, at the start of the Sebhet river, in ancient times, and still is active today. It is also a pilgrimmage site for those of the Cult of Nephon and other Pharaists as a rite of passage. In Ancient Akhmanar, the Temple of Nephon employed more than a thousand sacred prostitutes dedicated to the goddess, allowing Kipisi to garner vast amounts of clout from trade on the Sebhet and the Temple of Nephon’s services.

CONTEXT NOTES

1 - Cleon - Cleon, otherwise known as The Sun, is the primary sun of the Home System, which all of the seven planets of the solar system orbit around. It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, and by far the most important source of life on Tsion, the only known world with sentient life in the Home System. Its diameter is about 1.39 million kilometers, or 109 times that of Tsion, and its mass is about 330,000 times that of Tsion. By these proportions, Cleon accounts for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Home System. It is mainly comprised of hydrogen and helium, with some heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron.

It is a G-type main sequence star that formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago. By this logic, it is rougly middle-aged, has remained unchanged for more than four billion years, and is believed to remain stable for another 5 to 6 billion years. The enormous effect that Cleon has on Tsion has had lasting political, cultural, and historical effects, with some cultures even worshipping it as a God, using it for guidance or farming, or for more practical and scientific purposes, such as to tell the time.
