It is the Year of Our Lord One-Thousand, the First of the month of January. Over five hundred years have passed since the Fall of Rome, yet Europe is still a dark realm littered with tribes and barbarian kingdoms. Vikings terrorize the coasts of the world around them, and Christianity has long since began to overcome the pagans. Though the darkness of the Early Middle Ages has passed, a darkness still casts its shadow over the continent while the Islamic world shill shines brightly in its Golden Age of science. This is Year of Our Lord, the story of Midas Casino's High Middle Ages.

The Beginning:
As Bulgaria and her southern neighbor partake in one of their final clashes, the Viking Age begins to come to an end. In Northern France, Aureumterrans expand their settlement and a couple Lethen clans decide to join them.
