Yes, when needed. Excutions are pretty rare besides when it’s in warfare.

A reminder to all defenders: Their is about 5 or 6 of us, and only one battle currently happening involving the sea, air and ground, and I’m not liking my chances right now, I’d recommend sending almost all of your assets in the country to Tel-Aviv, or else they’ll only spread.

If you're hit center of mass with a .50 B.M.G. round, you don't have to worry about excessive injury... since you probably won't be kicking after that. As for the Explosive rounds, there are explosive .50 BMG rounds but also a wide arrangement of standard anti-personal ammunition such as M2 Ball, M2 AP Black tip, M33 Ball, XM1022 Ball, etc.

That was what I thought though in my case, I think taking a head literally off is a bit more then exes I’ve injury, more then incapacitating the target.

Excessive injury comes into play IF the target survives... This is one of the issues that WW1 Germany tried arguing about with Americans using shotguns since sometimes buckshot doesn't kill your target. With a .50, it isn't just the size of the round that causes the damage but also the force/speed of it and the cavity it leaves. It is recognized that .50 BMG does not cause excessive injury unless an explosive/incendiary round is used.

Also, any trained marksman/woman knows you want to take a center of mass shot instead of a head shot. Center of Mass is easier to hit and still will kill a target if it hits the vitals.

well no issue then since he's dead faster then a body shot. Also at range, the difference of a few mm is more than enough for a round to not hit where you want it to. It is possible someone aimed high by a millimeter or two.
