I'd just like to state here I am not gonna be rolling in the tanks unless it's narratively consistent and I'm actually really liking this so far. Honestly, war RP's are kind of boring and diplomacy and spying is completely where it's at in my books. Some fun nations here that will prove a really good backdrop for all kinds of intruigue.

Started some 'informational warfare' with cyber operatives and bots on the net, which are spreading Anti-Brittanic propaganda in the wake of the diplomats executions, plus the communique I've written which is the official response.

My planes have done their first drop of supplies to the UCA and are enroute to do the second. I left the results of their foray open in case Brittanic-Albion wants to have his people notice them and try to intercept. While it probably makes it more interesting to let the UCA get the supplies there as well, I wasn't just going to have them succeed without giving you a chance to intercept. Choose to notice and respond by trying to intercept or not as you pick, it's up to you, but the option is open:)


Others are welcome to respond to the execution of diplomats by Brittanic Albion in-universe as well, now that the Cedorians have started hammering them about it. Of course, how you respond publicly and what you do privately might be very different...

So hopefully I've written some stuff people can work into their own posts in the next few days or so. Like always, let me know if there are comments or queries.

Cracking stuff, the only I would say is, and maybe OOCly you are aware of this but the only diplomats that were executed were those who remained in the country after expulsion; hence the charge of espionage. All those who went to the airport and got on a plane were not laid a finger on.
I'll let the UCA get the weapon drops, as it makes it all more interesting, but pray tell where are your planes operating from?

I'd like to get back into RP with this. Any chance to destroy communism is welcome, and Imperii Magna would love to be involved with this, using the newly-discovered training of insurgents by China as an impetus to send "peacekeeping forces" to the Asian continent. Imperii Magna is located in modern-day Argentina + some of Brazil, and is a hyper-capitalist society with a well-developed mercenary/PMC military. Awaiting your approval, will send writing sample if I get it.

Got a post up finally. Finals are still in progress for me IRL so it’s a bit shorter than I wanted, but it lays the groundwork.

Good work. I too have exams but most of my work is essay based and those are done so its ok. Certainly ready to get gollywonkered this Christmas though once my semester is finished.

Posted, sorry it's a bit short- I'm a bit hesitant to write anything too long for the moment as I don't want to interfere with pacing too much and also there's only so much I can come up with that's relevant. Would like to see some action soonish but I'm sure OP's got everything planned out nicely.
In any case I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out, from where I'm standing this might become the Shackleyan version of the Vietnam War in our history books. Let's just hope we don't end up losing another war too soon; three lost wars and three new governments in a row might start to look bad.

I mean the RP may escalate to war, but you are absolutely right in that the diplomacy and spying is some of the best parts. I'm glad you're really liking the RP so far, its a pleasure to write it.

So yeah, for clarification the Caracasusian approach will be one of peacemaking while also trying to find out as much as possible. The first part is from the perspective of the ambassador - the second from an as yet unidentified group and the third from the point of view of part of a Caracasusian naval detachment that is not seriously expecting any actual war.

I should have a big post up soon. I will be sending Diplomatic communiques to Both Shackley and Albion regarding the current situation. I also plan on deploying a strike group for a show of force (I set that up in my most recent post). My plan is to have the Canberra and maybe 5 other escorts deploy as a show of force, this group will be supported by P-8As. If need be I can start interdiction missions to prevent arms sales to the UCA.

Not generally no. I must confess I got a little lazy on this one and just had it be modified old combat jets which are no longer in conventional use being re-fitted for the sake of covert ops, which is the kind of thing Cedorians tend to do a lot of the time when they don't want to risk any fancy new shiny equipment being blown up or reverse engineered.


But I'll probably just try and use drones in the near future, despite the fact that their carry capacity is quite a bit smaller.

Fighter jets can drop small amounts f supplies in special packages designed to ride on their bomb racks.

I assumed as much, but I confess I'm not an expert on the RL tech requirements and specifications.

I just presumed in-story that the Intelligence agency had refitted some older jet planes to carry some cargo and drop them. But i that sort of thing is backed by RL technology then that seems like it still works.

My nation is extremely capitalistic, with our armed forces almost entirely mercenary in nature. Our government is a constitutional empire. Ceremonial head of state of empress/emperor, that is a figure head, and an elected Sentate with the head being the prime minister. The land itself is the Island of Significance, which is either Australia or its own entity, depends on the RP, but always in the Pacific ocean.
