Renis relented as he heard the pop over the radio. "Railroad-2 to Dagger Actual, you have lost North-south coverage, whatever you've found, avoid it and find another route, or we're leaving you dry," the Anowans replied. He didn't need to ask what happened to figure out what that 'pop' was.

"Alright, Dagger is finding another route. You guys pack up, get that guy's body and hoof it out of here if you can. We don't want to get more of you killed, regardless of needing recon. Cut your losses or stay, up to you guys if you've got a choice," Renis answered. He motioned at Nino to stay where he was, they'd move in through another street by going around the town. Then waved the rest of his team to stay with him.

Through the Recon Team's scopes, they'd be moving away from that apparently cursed street and go through somewhere else, eventually finding themselves in the city proper, going through the alleys and dashing through the streets if needed. Going around and altogether ignoring checkpoints when possible. When all was said and done, in front of them through an alleyway was their goal. The corrugated walls of the warehouse and steep angle of the roof dominated their view through the slit in the alleyway. 2 doors on the left and right faced them, guarded by 6 guards in total. Less than a challenge.

Cer nudged Nino with his elbow, "when we get in, place the explosives closest to the walls. The place should fall apart like a house of cards," he explained. Nino simply stretched his neck and shoulders, no one could see but knew that Nino had the biggest grin on his face.

"I know where to puy my bombs, Neram, relax," Nino answered coldly.

Renis walked up to the edge of the alleyway and craned his neck around each of the corners slowly, covered by the darkness as drips of water in the alley fell from the roofs above. "Guns up," Renis looked to the rest of the team and slid the visor over his face. His face wasn't the steely veteran look of Sergzen Jeerne, it was younger and untested by leadership. Yet he feels driven, both by Untuli and by Eust, God.

"Untuli, take Keneveh and Nino. You'll take the right door. Hes, Cer, on me, we're on the left. Three Contacts per door. Ready?" Renis whispered. The teams he had assigned stacked up on the left and right side of the alley.

"Say the word, boss," Cer answered, looking to the left and right, down and up the alley, at the rest of the time through his visor.

Renis said the word, "Showtime."

Renis turned the corner and leveled his rifle, continuing to move as he took aim, a guard on the left, furthest right in the group caught themselves in their sights. Numerous suppressed shots rang out in the street, from right to left, and left to right, the armed guards in front of the warehouse fell. Two shots to the chest and one to the head for all of them.

The squad had reached the doors before long, and they used breaching shotguns to open them. With the doors open, the interior of the warehouse was laid bare before them. Stacks upon stacks of crates, as well as a number of other serious military hardware. "Get the charges set, rendezvous on my position when you're done," Renis ordered over the radio before entering. In the distance he could hear yelling echoing out, they had obviously heard the blasts from the breaching shotguns. He turned to Hes and Cer and called over the radio with an order, "Split up, we only have minutes to get out of here."

The rest of the team he could see went off their own ways into the warehouse to clear the building while the charges were being set by Nino. Rushing off his own way through the alleys of boxes and military hardware, losing track of any kind of map of the place he was building in his head. It wasn't long before he spotted a flashlight shining from another corridor of crates, and muffled speaking of a foreign language. He peaked around the corner, seeing the pass through before going down his way between the wall of military crates and some transport trucks. Quickly he ducked back in and readied his weapon at the corner they would be coming down, his hand had an iron grip around the rifle where it was pointed.

As soon as he saw someone's head go around the corner with a gun going through first, pop, the body dropped. Immediately Renis rounded the corner, seeing two more contacts, taken by surprise, he could just see their faces past their flashlights. As he rounded and saw them, with a click, the VAR-19 was switched into fully automatic. Eight hundred rounds per minute of 7.62x51mm went through the two-person column. And like dominos they fell one after the other, leaving behind only numerous puffs of red in the air, the light from their falling gun's flashlights waving in the air, and the sound of brass hitting the concrete. Around him, he could hear suppressed gunshots as well, and louder return fire echo around.

"Nino, status report." Renis asked.

"I've got one more charge to put down, then we ought to get out in a minute."

"Copy."
