No problem. RL is more important.

I was actually thinking of just raiders pillaging villages for fun, profit and loot, but if you allow to take land, then I would love to take you up on that.
Maybe we could even give it a little bit of a prologue:
Two centuries ago, Selkie Raiders pillaged and burned villages for fun and profit, but the trips to and from Ultramarine to their homelands were long, ardous and complicated, many of their vessels setting out on one end not arriving at the other.
So, the Selkie devised a way to counter that: They built outposts along ideal small islands on rivers or even on the mainland itself, from time to time switching from the sea to horseback to push further inland. While the local authorities and the King tried their best to counter and destroy them, they never really succeeded, some strongholds proving too strong.
And sometimes, local lords arranged themselves with their new neighbours, for they were formidable warriors and good merchants, revenue filling their coffers and mercenaries filling their ranks - for a price, of course.
The outposts evolved into small settlements, sometimes even towns.
But the Selkie never laid off the mantle of the Raiders and Pillagers and this constant source of strife and disdain between neighbours was still a constant companion even to this day... and when King Theodan passed, many of these Raider King and Robber Barons saw their opportunity for a quick buck...
    ...and maybe more.
Sounds good to you?

Sounds perfect actually. So yeah I'll allow you to join as that :)

Wonderful! So, allow me to apply:

Nation Name:
    Lodan Lir's Coalition of Wealth-Redistributors.
Nation Leader:
Yven Creachaire of the Tribe of Wexford, Pirate-King of Puiteach (Selkie Name of the Settlement).
Claimant supporting (Ragnar or Eomer or own):
    Own side.
Creachaire leads the Robber Barons and the Pirate Kings mainly because he is the strongest amongst them and the most prestigious. They are not many of them, maybe a dozen in total, but united, they are a threat.
How you intend to support (Financial or Military):
    Military.
Size of support:
Puiteach and other small harbour-settlements used as outposts by raiders (but mostly Puiteach, I will give a more complete description of the settlement when needed).
Around 35 vessels of different sizes and descriptions (same) and their crews.
15 Robber-Banners, around fifty horsemen, horsewomen and support personell, ideal structure:
Banner-Leader (usually one of the Robber-Kings) + 4 Horsemen (usually heavily armed Marcach)
      1 Lance of six horsemen
        1 Leftenant-Commander of the Banner
        5 Medium-Cavalrymen
      1 Lances of six horsemen
1 Sergeant, 5 horsemen, all medium
      4 Lances of six horsemen
1 Sergeant, 5 horsemen, all light
      Support Personell (carter, priest, etc.)
If Puiteach or one of the other settlements is attacked directly, their militias and city guards will defend, but they will NOT act outside of their respective settlements.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.
My people are called the Selkie, the nation is usually called the Free Lands in MT-settings. Thanks.

I thought of maybe at the shore of Ultramarine? Roundabout north from the R in 'Undeclared Lords" on the map? I can add that one to the map myself for illustration puposes, if you want.

Wonderful! Gimme a bit, though...

EDIT: And... posted. If anyone has questions or concerns, please point them out. Ultramarine, with your permission, I would like to write the follow-up posts describing the first raids. There are rich, unprotected monasteries around, right?

I would say so. A few on islands off the coast and a few on the shore.

Also Saxony I left it open about Lorik so you can decide if you run into him or not and you have my permission to kill him if it suits your needs :)

Also a map of Jorvik will be up either tomorrow or the day after :)

And here we go - as promised, the locations of two Selkie-Outposts in Ultramarine - [url=http://oi68.tinypic.com/w05448.jpg]Mad MS-Paint Skillz on display![/i]
In any case, I'll write the first raids in a bit. Sadly, Jorvik is not a harbour town...
