War of Ultramarinean Succession (PT OOC)

The year is 1066 and King Theodan has passed into memory. His throne sits empty and the kingdom of Ultramarine is descending into chaos. The Lord Eomer who would be king has fled after an attempted assassination on his coronation day and now the Pretender Ragnar sits upon the throne of Ultramarine claiming he was promised the throne by Theodan before death. Eomer has fled to the southern grasslands where he is gathering an army of his loyal lords and people amassing behind the "true" king of Ultramarine. Ragnar has gathered an army of Northmen ready to crush the Lord Eomer and now the two are making moves to secure support for their claim and their armies to crush the other and secure the throne of Ultramarine.

So welcome to the War of Ultramarinean Succession I have placed two lords who will be under my control, Eomer and Ragnar, but if you feel you could have a claim to the "empty" throne then feel free to put him, or her, forward.

The size of armies is limited to 10,000 as a maximum but i would prefer smaller ones if possible. Mercenaries are also welcome to try and find fortune in this conflict.

Probably Ragnar as he is from the North and it is the Southern lords who are supporting Eomer. So yeah Ragnar would let you loot.

Anyway could you elaborate? When you say non-aligned raiders do you mean something like the Great Heathen army invading to take land or we just thinking pillaging the villages?

If it's the first one then by all means you may come to claim land my friend I left the undeclared lords as an area for people to invade and setup.

I was actually thinking of just raiders pillaging villages for fun, profit and loot, but if you allow to take land, then I would love to take you up on that.
Maybe we could even give it a little bit of a prologue:

Two centuries ago, Selkie Raiders pillaged and burned villages for fun and profit, but the trips to and from Ultramarine to their homelands were long, ardous and complicated, many of their vessels setting out on one end not arriving at the other.
So, the Selkie devised a way to counter that: They built outposts along ideal small islands on rivers or even on the mainland itself, from time to time switching from the sea to horseback to push further inland. While the local authorities and the King tried their best to counter and destroy them, they never really succeeded, some strongholds proving too strong.
And sometimes, local lords arranged themselves with their new neighbours, for they were formidable warriors and good merchants, revenue filling their coffers and mercenaries filling their ranks - for a price, of course.
The outposts evolved into small settlements, sometimes even towns.
But the Selkie never laid off the mantle of the Raiders and Pillagers and this constant source of strife and disdain between neighbours was still a constant companion even to this day... and when King Theodan passed, many of these Raider King and Robber Barons saw their opportunity for a quick buck...
...and maybe more.
