"And then he says, 'no, she's an optician!'"

OF-2938 fake-laughed. Sure, the Governor of Byrdland was a terrible comedian, but he had to be nice, especially with the Senatorial elections coming up.

"Here's a similar one: So, a man walks into confession-"

"Actually, as much as I like jokes, I gotta go. See you around."

Went to a podium at the front of the room and tapped on the microphone. "Hello, everyone, can I have your attention please?"

All eyes turned towards him.

"Thank you. Now that I have your attention, I would like to say a few words."

"As we all know, in a few months our country will elect a new senate. Now more than ever, we must be united as one nation, one people..."

Meanwhile, in the back of the room, a Presidential Security Service agent passed a small piece of paper to another. He looked at it and began walking towards the podium.

"...and as a democratic nation, we must protect this right of a free election, by making sure to not-"

The agent handed OF-2938 the note.

Accident at CML-17
28 dead
Military emergency

Several PSS agents escorted him out of the room and a collective cry of confusion echoed through the room. They were suddenly silenced as the door closed behind them.

One of the agents handed him an incident report, and he quickly read it over. "Dear God. Get Kazimir Miroslavsky on the line, and whatever other leader who can help with this. We're going to war."

The Chamber of Ministers fell silent as the respected Vice Minister of Defense Karls Anhor stepped up to the podium, overshadowed by the giant bust of Nelin behind him. The somber and look in his eyes drew everyone's attention to him, eagerly awaiting what he was about to say. Anhor scanned the room quickly before commencing with the standard greeting:

"To the honorable Chairman, deputy Chairmen, the Prasidayuv, and this esteemed Chamber, I address to you all with truth and honor.

Genossen, The Ministry of Defense have received a classified military intelligence report from the government of Crysuko about an unidentified anomaly that attacked a military installation. Outlandish as the reports may be; for instance, a purportedly extraterrestrial being about 20 feet tall attacking a heavily fortified installation and leaving 28 dead and escaping without a trace, was met by the Komitat with initial doubt. However, video footage, that of which I am not currently authorized to show, and which that was proven to be authentic, was delivered to us 10 P.M. MST, and what doubts were had were unequivocally erased by this footage. Crysuko and Misthas, no, the world, is managing something the likes of which has never been seen before. As our commitment to fraternity and friendship with all nations of the world that so may seek it out stands firm, the Ministry has convened to outline this proposal to the Chamber:

I, Karls Anhor, propose on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, to send an expeditionary force of 105 Noyemheimvaz IX units, accompanied by three CX-10 "Malenchen" and ten KX-8 "Henbets" helicopters to CML-17 military outpost in Cryusuko, upon which they will fall under the jurisdiction of the government and laws of Crysuko. This operation, codenamed "Nebula", along with this proposal, will have classification level five."

There were mutterings throughout the halls of the Chamber, of mixed reactions; some of shock, some of approval, and some stayed silent. As was his nature, as a hardheaded, determined man, Anhor cut the musings short.

"Any proposed recommendations or additions?"

The room was silent, many ministers still trying to absorb the sheer possibility and existence of such an event.

"Very well", he continued, "all those who are against this proposal, say nye."

"NYE!", screamed the lone minister Sandrin Tuvak in the Chamber from the party of Peace and Nature, who won an shock victory in the past election, and whose unofficial job was it to object to any proposals by the ruling Communist Solidarity Party.

" *ahem* And all those in favor of this proposal, say "in."

"In.", voiced everyone else in the Chamber.

"Very well, then. The proposal of Operation Nebula will now pass on to the Council of Peoples to be approved. Good day genossen."

Royal Cabinet Room
Royal Palace

In the meeting of the Royal Cabinet involving the King, the Prime Minister and other heads of the main cabinet ministries where they were describing the monthly achievements of the government, the situation was grim. The Goverment of Robosia has requested for help regarding "a monster" and "mad scientist experiments" according to the words of the young King. Most Cabinet ministers were for giving help to Robosia,a valuable trade partner to the Kingdom. What stood between the Royal Bengal Self-Defense Force blowing this monster to oblivion was its own military doctrine, that Bengal will pursue a path of peace and will not do any military activities that will lead to loss of innocent life,a powerful military in terms of equipment, but powerless due to its morals.

"Your Majesty,Article 9 also says that Bengal may aid an ally if it comes under attack" spoke our Minister of Foreign Minister,Kadokawa

"That's not enough to send an entire division of the Jietai to a foreign country. This country has always followed it's constitution to the letter, but during necessities, have always found loophoes. Now,its your job as government ministers to find that loophole that will help us in helping Robosia"

"This enemy we're talking about"said Defense Minister Kitihara "It's not a country, neither a human. So we aren't officially going to war. Therefore, the deployment of the Jietai is perfectly legal"

"I will leave everything else to you nowthat its sorted out.Prime Minister Nobukawa, please send a messenge to the President of Robosia pledging our support" the King said as he rose up from his chair and bowed. The others did the same

For the serenity of the Kremlin to be disturb, it better be in the anticipation of an important issue...

In the highest office of the Kremlin Palace, a man in his mid-forties was seated at his antique wooden desk. Alone in an oppressive silence, he was reading his morning papers with a pipe in his mouth. Behind him was the window overlooking the onion domes of St. Vasily Cathedral, with two Zitravgradian flags on each side. He laid his eyes on the papers, with grey smoke emitting from time to time. This would be the imposing image every person would see when they entered his office.

*knock knock*

"Come in." said the man as he put his pipe on the ashtray. The papers, however, was still in his hand.

His secretary entered, perplexed but still reserved. "Comrade Chairman, we got a message from Robosia... about... Dr. Ignatov."

Raising his brows slightly, this 'Comrade Chairman' put the newspaper down and his pipe up to his lips again. "Well, Comrade. How may I assist? I suppose that it is about his experiments in Antarctica. How urgent is it? Why is the report not directed to MSTE* but to me?" His eyes rested on his secretary's pale face. Something was starting to bug him. It better be urgent, or else it would not be here.

"My comrade, Dr. Ignatov was killed during an experiment. The situation has become complicated... unspeakably complicated. Robosia has called for assistance, not only from us, but also from their other allies."

"Dear Providence..."
The Chairman stood up and left his pipe at the ashtray. His cold, aloof image vanished as he walked over to his secretary with a solemn expression. "How do I inform to poor doctor's utterly unfortunate fiancee? How do I... Dear, dear Mikhail Vasilinovich... inform the MSTE on my behalf. Call for Ignatov's staffs and colleagues in his department and inform them not only of his death but also of this new mission. And once you are finished, bring me the bravest of my gentlemen."

"Them?"

"Yes, the Lifeguard Regiment**, a couple of Ignatov's staffs and a few BCI*** medics."
The man himself was not too certain how many men he should and could use without making this matter known to the public and unrelated personnel. "Keep this inside the MSTE and the Kremlin. It is not yet a public issue. When it is, I will shut the press down."

Once the order was given, the Secretary gave his superior a quick salute before rushing out of the room. Once the younger man was out of sight, the Chairman sat back down and picked up his still-burning pipe. Although it was not morally right, it was a fair political move in which he got to play it the way he preferred -- "safe, sound and silent". At this moment, he could only wish that he had enough assistance to offer to his ally. He had always been behind the smokescreen, hiding his human weaknesses behind a gust of grey fume."

Crassus stepped into the chamber of the Upper Sejm.
"I've received a message from our...ally. Robosia. Now, this cannot leave the room and if it does I will shoot you myself."
The room nodded as one, while the guards closed the doors.
"There's been an incident. A-for a lack of a better term-demon attacked a Zitravgradian scientist after he crossed a portal into Robosia, he turned into a bigger demon, fought his way out, attacked a British tourist, grew wings, destroyed an attack helicopter, and fled into the mountains."
After a few seconds of silence, the room went into an uproar.

The majority of the unit was Prussian-Polish, with large contingents from both Prussia-Poland's longtime ally(Bavaria) and nemesis(Austria).

It was rather telling that Austria's ally, Saxony, was absent.
In any case, they would, very soon, mobilize again.

At some time around 0200 hours last night, the Zanit-8 Sat "Keyhole-4" noticed a spike in energy signatures in the country of Robosia. This was not a rare thing the many Orbiting Satellites of the Parcian Kosmos Agency often detected spikes of various different radiation signatures all the time.

What was strange, was that this was a Zanit Satellite, a older, officially discontinued set that had been re purposed by the KGB to monitor...a different type of energy.

The situation was elevated up the chain as reports came in from various underground sources, as well as moles insides the governments of the area as well and as soon as the Duma heard of the situation in a closed doors meeting, the order to move Maskirovka in to position was made.

The Unit was built int he early 60s to combat supernatural elements, enemies, and cryptids that quickly became known in secret to the Duma.

In a secluded portion of the forest, guided by a hidden GPS satellite guiding them, the Hinds of the Unit beat in unison, skimming the tree tops to hide from radar and their sonic dampeners keeping the drone of their engines to a low rumble.

They were ordered to set up shop in the deepest, darkest sector of the large forest and prepare for a prolonged, covert mission.

Skyhooked City, the "Fullhouse"

Stan Dixon was sitting in his chair in his office, enjoying his well deserved break after a long, unpleasant meeting with a foreign ambassador, who showed very little competence and an annoying insulting attitude. A good cigar and glass of rum were a pleasant addition to an interesting comedy. The bliss of those moments quickly fixed his mood, but he didn't even suspect, that he will be urgently required in a few minutes.

A max priority message from Robosia about an experiment gone terribly wrong quickly and brutally returned Stan back to the reality. He quickly cursed to himself and then called the rest of the Council for meeting.

-"Partners, we got some serious shit going on in Robosia. As far as we know, their experiment ended with an epic fail, which resulted in a runaway anomaly, which kills folks everywhere it goes. Here is the messsage itself, I am showin' it on that screen. Just take a look and see, that it ain't a joke!"-Stan gives a quick briefing.

"Damn, this is a really serious situation. And a delicate one. I bet, all this experiment was kept in top secrecy, and this breach may result in long lasting consequences, which may be far more threatening than this anomaly. While sending large military groups would be tempting, it may seriously compromise them and us. What we need is to send an elite squad, which will investigate the matter further."-Responds First Leader Seth

"My calculations indicate, that we must send no more than 350 people, otherwise, operation will be too risky."-Adds John Walker AI

"Then we must pick the best of the best. Capital Minutemen and warriors from my clan will protect the scientists, while they conduct tests on whatever anomalious things were found on site. Mabye we'll kill the beast and mount it's head on one of the walls."-Bjorn of Steel

"I'd rather not count on that. It grows in size every time it kills someone, and it can take goddamn missiles! I tell ya' what, some of soldiers, we send there, will be given laser and plasma weapons. Maybe this piece of shit can't stand hot plasma smell in the morning. Or maybe, we'll find a way to tame the beast. Either way, we also need someone to lead the operation. I think of our apprentice Casey James."-Stan Dixon

"Dudes, I'll go then to Robosia and do my best. I hope, I'll make Skyhooked proud."-Casey James

"Then it's concluded. I'll write a message to Robosia and we'll assemble the squad. And then... let's continue our break."-Stan Dixon

While squad was assembled, Skyhookedian governemnt finally sent a message to Robosia.

For the lack of any better word, this incident became... yet another state secret, despite the top office of the Kremlin being on the telephone all morning. Everything was almost in order. The unfortunate fiancee of Dr. Ignatov was called and informed with a voice solemn enough not to offend her. Men of Lifeguard Regiment were dispatched about their mission and the medics were likewise summoned from the BCI. Two more scientists volunteered to investigate the matter... it took about three hours to do so. But there was still a problem.

"Comrade, I would like to commit as many men as I can." said the Chairman as he paced around the room with a pipe in his hand. The pale, thin smoke would follow him and disperse again and again. "How many men can the Lifeguard Regiment commit?"

"Seventy-five, comrade. No more. Must I remind you that they are your guards?" answered Boris Malakhov, the Head of the Kremlin Lifeguard Regiment, who was standing a little too near to the door for a worst-case scenario. "Trust me, they are Cossacks. We Cossacks are not going to be afraid of... some demon that used to be our researcher."

"Ignatov's dead body is the least of my concern. How about the Blue Cross International? There were and are going to be people getting injured..."

"We have three medics. Everything will be fine, if you arm us to the teeth."

The Chairman put the pipe in his mouth, thinking... "I should not have sent so many men to foreign missions in the Oriental... but darn... League of Nations' peacekeeping mission." The Chairman stopped pacing. He decided that he would test the tide first, and commit more men from the actual military once things went out of hand. With this compromise with himself, he put down his pipe. "Thank you very much, Boris Yemelyanovich. Your men will be armed with military-grade weapons and devices and I pray that this will be enough. You may leave."

The Head of the Guard saluted, then made his way out of the room. Once the door was completely closed and locked, the Chairman turned to the corner of the room.

"What do you think?" He asked the figure sitting in that corner. She was a slender, petite woman in white blouse and black skirt, with her lab coat cast aside. The First Lady had arrived shortly from her lecture at the University of Providenska. She looked at him, tired and shocked. She was not involved in this project, only slightly aware.

"What do I think? You are sending Robosia support and so will their allies. It is not like I hold the important equation to end it all in one swipe. I came here essentially to make you tea." She said and gestured towards two cups of tea and a teapot on the low table in front of her.

"But do you trust the researchers that are going there?"

"Oh, I trust that Polmashol knows most of the details in Ignatov's works. That's why she jumped into the job as soon as it was mentioned." Miroslavskaya stood up and took one of the teacups to her husband's desk as he sat himself down. "Underlying reasons exist, but I will not go into that while you are working."

"I trust that you can tell me later. We still have an unfinished business with the Polmashols." The Chairman opened his laptop and tried to think up a proper response to the Robosian authority, which he quickly typed up and sent in a few minutes later.

Salutations, comrades

We have certainly received the report of the unfortunate incident concerning our joint research project involving portal technology. In the most discreet fashion, I have taken the matter into my hands and kept this operation a strict secret. Let us get to the main point. Firstly, I have informed and offered compensation to the fiancee of the unfortunate Comrade Doctor Marlen Ignatov. Any issue concerning his former existence is dealt with. Secondly, we are sending to you the first group of 75 men from the Lifeguard Regiment led by Major Major Sergey Czartowski, 3 medics from Blue Cross International and 2 researchers from the same department to our late researcher led by Dr. Lylia Polmashol. However, we are prepared to send further reinforcement into the mission if the situation calls for. Thirdly, this group will arrive in your nation within the next 24 hours. We request the landing location be provided in your territory.

High regards

Confidential Military Laboratory #17
Hauberg Province
Ellsworth Administrative Region

“This is Cicada to CML-17, do you copy CML-17? Over.”

An officer sitting in a tent in front of the laboratory pressed a button on his headset. “This is CML-17 to Cicada, over.”

“Clear the landing, we’ve got Apollo and Rifleman coming in hot. Over.”

The officer nodded. “Understood. Over and out.”

He pressed the button again, and walked out of the tent with a megaphone in his hand. “Everyone, listen up!”, he shouted. “We’ve got Apollo and Rifleman coming in on a Bug, so clear out of landing pad!”

They began to clear a circular area about 100 feet in diameter, and then placed small floodlights around the area’s edge. About a minute later, they could see and hear a tandem-rotor helicopter heading in their direction. Soon, it landed in the circle, its rotors blowing back tent flaps and papers. The door slid open, and out came two figures; OF-2938 and YH-7822, the President of Robosia and the Secretary of Defense.

Four guards followed them out of the helicopter, and they silently walked through the doors and down a flight of stairs. Eventually, they reached a door marked as the “Spec Ops Command Center”. They opened the door and stepped inside.

The room was full of people sitting at desks, with communications devices and computers in front of them. Each row of desks was about two feet lower than the row behind it. On the front wall were several screens displaying images of AMS-001, and live feeds from the helicopters currently searching for it. As OF-2938 walked in, everyone stood up, turned towards him, and saluted.

“At ease,” said the president. They all sat back down, except for one android wearing a military uniform. His chest was adorned with medals, and the patches on his shoulders confirmed his rank as a General.

He walked up and held his hand out to them. “Mister President, Mister Secretary.” They both shook his hand. “Glad to see you again.”

OF-2938 spoke first. “And you too, General KL-4625. I assume you know why I’m here?”

The general nodded. “Yes, sir. Now, we haven’t confirmed the entity’s location, but we believe it to be somewhere in the Ellsworth Mountains. We have patrols looking for it now.” He gestured towards the screens. “We haven’t yet determined the cause of the malfunction, but our head engineer has been fired for it. We’re not sure what the Zitravgradians are going to do with theirs.”

“And the British tourist?”

“Died in a car crash. Cheaply-made rental car exploded and his body was burned beyond recognition. Sad, but not unusual by any means. Besides maybe a lawsuit to the rental company, we’re fine. Only us, the Brits, and the foreign reinforcements will know. Speaking of which, what’s the situation with the reinforcements?”

Now, it was the Secretary’s turn to speak. “Misthas, Zitravgrad, Bengal and Assam, Poland-Prussia, Skyhooked, and Parcia have all confirmed to send troops. They should be arriving here soon. Zitravgrad and Skyhooked are also sending researchers.”

“And as for Ignatov? His disappearance must be explained.”

He handed the general a letter with the National Seal of Zitravgrad on it. “We just received this message from the Providenska. The doctor’s fiancée has been paid off, and all records of him are erased. There was never a man named Marlen Ignatov.”

KL-4625 nodded. “Well then, I suppose all we need to do is wait it out.” The three men sat at their desks in the back of the room. There was nothing more that could be done, until the reinforcements arrived or the creature was located.

"Where is that damn CML-17? We are walking in circles! I swear, I saw that stone before."-Casey complains, as he and his group try to find the destination. They walked a long distance and still have yet to find any signs of a military facility, becuase a few times they took some wrong turns. GPS didn't help alot too.

A group of armor clad elite soldiers and scientists, led by a guy dressed like rasta, and which somehow managed to get lost on their way to the starting point of their military operation, would perfectly fit a satyrical comedy. Gladly, no one saw them in such embarresing situation.

They walked like that, until a "Deus ex machina" suddenly appeared and guided those stranded poor folks right to the base.

That Deus Ex Machina wasn't something divine. It was just a regular attack helicopter, flying back for refuelling. Skyhookedian group manged to find approximate location and finding the facility became a much simplier task, which was soon completed.

Skyhookedian group have finally made it to the CML-17, and then Casey James after smoking a joint, reported about arrival: "Yo. dudes, this is Casey James, leader of "Cazadors" group. Do you copy? We are the reinfocrcements from Skyhooked and we are reporting for duty.

We have a group of scientists, who worked on a teleportation project back in our country, which uses similar technology. Hopefully, this will help your investigation effort. Plus, there are few biologists too, who worked with alien and anomalious lifeforms.

Also, we have a group of best Capital Minutemen elite soldiers and Battle bonded clan warriors armed with top shelf weaponery. Some are armed with laser and plasma weapons, let's hope this anomaly is afraid of hot plasma.

Awaiting further instructions."

Sanctum City Air Base,Robosia
Despite the winter fog,5 large Sasaki C-2 transport planes of the Royal Bengal Self-Defense Force landed safely on the runway which was obstructed by the fog. This was partly because of the plane's powerful sensors that could successfully detect runway lights despite the thickness of the fog,and partly because of the years of training the pilots have to go through in the Air Self-Defense Force before being allowed to pilot a plane that big.One of that plane can carry about 60 soldiers at a time and was a valuable asset to the Self-Defense Forces. After the planes slowly taxied onto the tarmac, everyone began unloading and moved everything to Robosian Air Force choppers to transfer to the secret CML-17 base,to maintain secrecy, the Senjutsuki (Mechs) and all the tanks and APCs were put into large shipping containers. The leader of such a operation of this magnitude was Field Commander Mayuri Nagamasa,a woman past her Mid-20s,known by her peers as the Angel of Mogadishu due to her actions that saved the lives of many BSDF soldiers in the UN Army offensive against islamists in Somalia

"Is everything ready for transport,Kisanagi Rikusho (Division Commander) ?"asked Field Commander Nagamasa

"Yes,at your word, the Robosians will begin to transport all our equipments, troops, vehicles and Senjutsuki to base CML-17.The Martime Self-Defense Force is going to come in after a few days with our choppers as well as air support."

"Spread the word among the other Division Commanders and the Robosians that we will depart this place for the secret experiment base after one hour, and tell the soldiers to get ready in combat gear, and the mechanics to load up our vehicles and Senjutsuki before we leave.I also want to meet up with the base commander of CML-17 once we reach that place..."

"Blessings be upon you, gentlemen." spoke the Chairman to the guards who were leaving for the mission, despite the sheer irony of that phrase. He was an atheist, and it shouldn't be him handing out blessings to some Orthodox Zitravian Cossacks he was sending out to the unknown. They were nonetheless courageous and loyal. He knew them well, they seized the Kremlin under him during the Revolution and everything. He shook hands with every guard, medic and scientist, while his wife watched in silence. She never liked the idea of throwing intelligentsia into rough missions -- there were already fewer and fewer of them as they were.

Finally, Miroslavsky stopped in front of Dr. Lylia Polmashol and Major Sergey Czartowski. Czartowski was a true Cossack -- a tall, strong man in his late fifties, with brown hair and moustache -- while Dr. Polmashol was a tall, but thin and pale woman in lab coat. She was in her thirties, her grey eyes were serious and her blonde hair was already greying.

There was no time for sentiment. The Chairman shook hands with Major Czartowski and passed onto Dr. Polmashol, of whom he took a cold glance. "The Motherland offers you her gratitude, Comrade Doctor."

"Thank you." replied the doctor. Her voice was still and emotionless, but her eyes were fixed on him. "And what will this gratitude allow?"

"We will negotiate our terms once you come home. We have no time for it now, Dr. Polmashol."

Less than half an hour later, the transport plane Kavanov-T12 took off from the makeshift landing spot near the wasteland zone outside Providenska. All was quiet, everything was a secret. They had the militsiya making sure that not a single civilian stepped near the spot where they loaded people, weapons and supplies onto the plane. The only one mistake was that the plane might be too big to hide once it was flying. But it was sufficient. The plane could carry 80 people, excluding two pilots, as well as their weapons and equipment, and would serve as a makeshift communication base once it had landed in Robosia. Or at least hopefully.

After many hours, the plane finally approached the landmass that was Antarctica. Polmashol opened her eyes after a moment of rest, moving with difficulty and realizing that her laptop was on her lap. Her partner, Ivan Walewski, had not been asleep. He was reading Dr. Ignatov's reports from the first to the last.

Personally, neither of them had any profound relationship with Dr. Ignatov. He had been a strange man involving with strange company -- the Obliquaturologists, or the study of the deviant. His fiancèe was not even sure what he was doing prior to his death, and now she was none but confused and informed by men who were equally confused.

"Have you read this?" asked Walewski.

"I have... It was generic until sh*t happened... and then it was a wild ride." replied Polmashol. "Hell, I knew that he wouldn't end well with all the weird things he was prying into, but I didn't expect anything like this."

Walewski nodded in agreement, then tilted to the left so that he could see Major Czartowski who was seated in front of him. "How soon will we arrive, comrade?"

"An hour more, son. But I say you get ready now." The Major said without looking at the younger man. "Damn... plasma gun. I have been to the Imperalists' War... fighting off the scum Austerreichener AI mercenaries, and yet it is my first time using this."

"Comrade..." whispered the younger man, all in a suddenly menacing voice. "I suggest you keep your voice down about AIs. We are going to a nation populated entirely by robots."

"You are only mad because you are an AI, Walewski." Dr. Polmashol pulled her partner back. "And.. I think he is right. You should get ready." She looked at Walewski once more. He was an AI too lifelike to tell apart from humans... and that might be useful in this mission. Let's hope that anything out there had less effects on AIs than humans.

The men from the Lifeguard Regiment were getting ready. Dr. Polmashol felt a little weird out because she was the only woman here, save for a female BCI medic. The Cossacks surely did not include women in military affairs. The doctor noticed that they were wielding military gears -- the newest and most innovative ones, in fact. Plasma guns, radiator rifles, tesla combat knives, radiation grenades and even a small generator for the Iron Curtain (electromagnetic force field). She did not doubt these men's ability to use it, but now she had to rethink the severity of this affair. Even her partner who was not trained in combat was offered a handgun to defend himself. The tension was rising at every minute. But by the least, there was no antimatter weapon in the arsenal yet. Those things were more likely to explode into the user's face anyway...

The landing location was close to CML-17, but leaving a bit of distance from the exact spot on which the building might be, possibly due to confidential reasons. They would have to walk a little bit in the extreme cold, with which they were too familiar. Every single staff was dressed for the climate and the job.

Before they landed, Dr. Polmashol put on the communication device as well as the small video recorder for research purpose. She took a deep breath one last time, and off they went. It took them several minutes to get off the plane and once they did, they were greeted by the Zitravgradian head engineer who witnessed the incident. After everyone got off the plane, the pilots escorted him onto the plane.

Major Czartowski took a minute to look at the head engineer's face. He was in shock, deep shock. He could not speak a word nor move an inch, but was also unable to resist being pushed and shoved by the pilots. He barely blinked despite the winter fog and the cold weather and did not reply when the pilots sat him in a seat and put a blanket over him.

"Comrade..." said one of the pilots. It was awkward, but he had to sound cold towards this visibly shaken man. The pilot was holding a note made of hard paper (not even a proper letter in an envelope) with Ministry of Labor's seal, branded with a bold text in Ukrainian Повідомлення про валової некомпетентності (Note of Gross Incompetence). "Have you been informed by the Ministry of Labor that you are being fired for gross incompetence and must be recalled back for further investigation at the Laborers' Court in Providenska?"

The head engineer turned his head up and looked at the pilot in the eyes. Finally, some movement on his face came back. "N...no, comrade."

"I regret to inform you that this will be carried out after this mission has ended. With the authority I have been given from the Ministry of Labor through the Kremlin's order, you are under arrest."

"...yes... I understood..."

CML-17

Skyhooked wrote:"Where is that damn CML-17?

A Robosian sergeant walked over to the group and saluted. “Welcome to Robosia, Vice President James. We have accommodations set up for you and the rest of your company. For now, your researchers can meet with ours on the second floor, and your troops should get some rest and eat. After all, you shouldn’t fight a demon on an empty stomach. As for you yourself, the President is waiting for you in the board room.”

The sergeant handed Casey a few files on AMS-001 to read and led him to a meeting room for the laboratory’s executives, where OF-2938 was waiting.

As the pilot escorted the engineer onto the plane, a half-dozen Armored Personnel Carriers bearing the symbol of the Robosian Army drove over to the landing site. They stopped in a line in front of the plane, and one of the drivers climbed out and saluted to Major Czartowski.

“Welcome to Robosia, comrade.” He spoke to them in fluent Ukrainian. “As you can see, we have provided transportation to the base. Each APC can carry a maximum of twenty people. We will give you all information we have on this situation en route to the laboratory.”

The Robosians helped the Zitravgradians load all of their equipment onto the vehicles, and once everyone and everything was in, they drove off to CML-17. They would reach the base in ten minutes.

The pilot looked at the course to the lab again. It would be over an hour before they reached the base, so he made sure to get comfortable.

Scientists headed towards second floor, and found Robosian researchers. They greeted them and awaited for explaination of the problem, while Minutemen and Battle Bonded warriors looked for thier accommodations, so they could prepare for an epic battle with the demon. And meet other groups and speak with them before the fight.

Casey James in his turn, took the files, thanked sergeant, and followed him to the meeting room.During his trip, he wondered, if he will lead the group, and if he get to this part, will he lend the final blow and slay the anomaly, or perhaps there is need for his statecraft, not combat skills. After all, he came to prove himself.

Even with sergeant near him, people gave Casey looks. Many didn't expect some guy with red eyes, dressed like a rasta with a loosely hanging submachine gun on his belt to be a vice president of Skyhooked. Such is country's culture, nothing more, nothing less.

Soon he entered the hall and started waiting for briefing.

Major Czartowski gestured his hand forwards, implying that Dr. Polmashol and Walewski should lead them. Soon enough, they would enter the building a while after the Skyhookedians did. The two scientists did not neglect to greet people along the way, but in a solemn, quiet way. Discreetly, Walewski would note some differences between himself and the Robosians as well. It seemed like he was the only one on the Uncanny Valley, but that was not his primary concern and that moment.

When they arrived into the room, Dr. Polmashol would notice the people inside and raise her eyebrows. Well... she didn't expect someone with quite a... peculiar appearance. But she didn't make any remark, having deduced that he might be someone from the allies of Robosia. Major Czartowski would follow and look around, anticipating the next happenings.

The choppers carrying the equipment and other imports ,according to the words of the Robosians, landed first, the BSDF troops landed in the next wave of choppers coming into the base.As soon as they landed,by the orders of their respective division commanders, they began unloading all equipment, field rations and vehicles

"Its all white, and cold.I guess the Robosians lack a sense of decoration...." said a somewhat shivering Commander Nagamasa as she clutched onto her grey SDF issue jacket

"Division Commander Sawatari reporting. The troops have beel already mobilized and all necessary preparations have been completed.I am informed by the other Division Commanders,Kisanagi and Mitsugi that their troops want permission to meet up and socialise with troops from other countries"

"Calm down Sawatari.I may be the commanding officer over here, but we are from the same batch from the Academy. You and the others may refer to me informally in private. Please tell the troops to freshen up and meet up with the others, but don't forget to tell them to be ready. And please tell Kisanagi and Mitsugi san to accompany me to the Joint Officers Meeting, you come along as well"

President OF-2938 shook hands with the military commanders and scientists. “Welcome to CML-17, everyone. Please, have a seat.” They sat down at the table, with OF at the end. “Now, as you are all aware, we are here because of a horrific accident that occurred during a joint scientific experiment between Robosia and Zitravgrad.” He turned towards the Zitravgradians. “Now, this accident was neither nation’s fault, but simply a combination of technical oversights by a few scientists and mechanics on both sides of the portal, who have since been relieved of duty.”

Then, he turned back to facing the middle of the table, took a small remote out of his pocket, and pressed a button. A holographic projection displaying several pictures of AMS-001 immediately appeared in the middle of the table. “Of course, if that was all that happened, there would be no need for military intervention, would there? The incident produced this creature, which has directly caused the death of thirteen people that we know of. It appears to grow by consuming organic matter, but can grow stronger by killing anyone, human or android.”

He pressed another button, and the hologram displayed pictures of decayed cells under a microscope. “W have not found any samples of the creature’s body, but we have some blood and a bit of skin from one of the humans it killed. As soon as its claws touched his skin, the cells shriveled up and died. Similarly, his blood appears to have been injected with some sort of acid that was strong enough to melt through the leather of his car seat before it froze. Those samples, as well as the bodies of the Robosians that it killed and the deceased’s car, are currently in a laboratory for scientific analysis.”

Then, he turned off the hologram. “Our current goal is to find and destroy this creature before it can kill anyone else. So, does anyone have any ideas?”

Casey James thinks for a bit, and then makes his suggestion about the demon: "If this unholy spawn can corrupt blood to an extent, that it melts through the body, and he grows even stronger after feeding on it's victims... then direct confrontation is an extremely risky method. With it's speed, it can dodge most if not all kinds projectiles. So it must be somehow incapacitated, before we approach it. And even then, it will pose a great danger, as with great speed, come reflexes fast as lightning.

Victim's blood and skin samples may give us an answer about the nature of poison, and with that data, we might be able to tell if this creature fully natural or it's some sort of cybernetically enhanced organism. And perhaps some of it's eating habits, if we plan to lure it somewhere.

And if this creature injects the poison, then it must have a gland or two somewhere inside it's body, most possibly close to the claws. If we manage to uncover chemical composition of poison in a blood sample, we might be able to create something, which reacts with it and neutralizes it, rendering the venom useless, or perhaps causes an explosive reaction, so if this thing gets delivered to the gland, it will help in the fight. Also, this acidic venom may be a result of creature's ration. Maybe in it's native world, it eats something, that gives necessary compounds for the poison.

And... well... Sorry, dudes, I am no biologist or chemist. And wish I had more data to work with... I don't even know, if it's eyes are rudimentary, and it's main sense is hearing. And it screeches in some pattern, using some sort of sonar to study it's enviornment."

"My suggestion is that,we put a tracker on it creature and keep it within a specified area, far away from population centers and close to us.And as Commander James of the Skyhooked Militia has proposed, research more on the poison. But lets go one step further, lets research an antivenom vaccine that will kick in as soon as someone is scratched or bitten. That way,our causalities will be low.
If things go for the worst, the Prime Minister of Bengal has requested that all nations bring in their naval vessels into Robosian martime territory to be ready for a full evacuation of both civillians and military personnel in that may be threatened by the creature.
And just from a personal point of view,I believe that the creature is not Dr.Ignatov.He may be already dead on the other side of the portal, and the creature's homeworld may have more of such beings. In the BSDF's experience with other worlds, the GATE incident,a otherworldly gate, once opened can be only shut, never locked away.I propose that we have full time military personell within the vincinity of where the experiment took place.

Meanwhile,in the Troop Lodging Area
Captain Izumo,of the 15th NDABSDFSquad was walking around with his comrades and were interacting with the troops from other countries and were exchanging ciggies and souvenirs with them. The cheerful mood they had was suddenly dimmed up as soon as they saw the Skyhooked Militia. All they heard about them was that they were uncivillized and their country lacked any sort of law and order.2nd Lieutenant Yuichiro was enraged that such a country was allowed into here, after all,his sister was a victim of the Islamist attack on Saoko Cafe back in Bengal.

Capital Minutemen discussed their next moves, while Battle Bonded warriors decided to socialize. They looked for military groups from other countries, and soon finally found one. It was a group of Bengal and Assam, the 15th NDABSDFSquad, who looked a bit grumpy. Perhaps they needed some cheering up.

One of the warriors started conversation: "Howdy there! Looks like we will be hunting together! For some big, really big game! It will be an epic hunt, I tell ya'! Now, how about some drinks? Or weed? Cause you look pretty grumpy. Why so serious?"

Although Captain Izumo knew that they all felt insecure, and also that a soldier in his unit has lost the only family he knew to people from such a country,he decided to take their offer
"Um.....thanksmaybe we will take a beer.We don't do weed unless we have a deathwish like getting kicked out of the SDF and turning a cell into a second home" he looked at Yuchiro and said "Yuikun, you look a bit sick,I suggest that you go back and bunk up,take some rest"

"No disrecpect Captain, but I guess I will stay.Maybe see how their society works"

"Uh,ok....."
Captain Izumo brought out his phone and began typing a text to his squadmates as he and the rest of the unit followed the Skyhooked Militia to their lodging area
"I know what y'all think, but try and act a bit friendly with them. Its just a drink"

Confidential Military Laboratory #17
Einsatzgruppe-1 appeared in the form of 7 Sokoły(OOC: Don't worry, will only appear at beginning and end of the RP, and in the case of the one carrying supplies, a few times near the start) Heavy-Duty transport aircraft-1 given over to personnel(we put seats in the cargo bay), 2 to aviation, and the rest to supplies. All of them had 2 crews to turn around and head home as soon as possible.
One after another, they screeched as they landed on their makeshift landing pads.
Platoon after platoon disembarked-some unloaded supplies, others helicopters.

Conference Room
Oberst Hermann von Hesse snarled as President OF-2938 admitted that he knew nothing about the damn thing they were fighting. "I swear....the fucker's using us as fucking cannon fodder...little shit can't even give us the most basic of-"
Leutenant Karl von Stortebeker von Danzig sighed. "It's not their fault, you know..."

Barracks
The Luftwaffe-Fallschirmjaeger marched in, the first detachment of them all. As they came in, they began to sing.

"Durch die Stadt marschierte uns're Kompanie
und zwei dunkle Augen lachten schön,
ja schön war sie! Sie ist unser Talisman,
Augen links so gut man kann,
doch der Kommandeur voraus ruft:
"
At this, their commander, Hauptmann Freidrich Ritter von Eichenhorn, abruptly joined in.
"Augen geradeaus!"
"Furthermore, I submit that Carthage NSG must be destroyed." t. Marcus Porcius Cato

Dr. Polmashol and Major Czartowski were listening attentively for ideas. They were poorly-equipped in terms of information and Dr. Ignatov's records ended right before the crucial part, leaving them with no more idea than others.

"Right... I agree that direct confrontation will be useless and no kind of ambush will work on such creature with great speed. Perhaps we should spot in from the air and lure it away from more populated areas as to lower the possible casualty, like they just said. Still, I don't assume it is stupid -- I give it credit for it using to be Dr. Ignatov, you know." The Major put one hand on the table. "One thing we would like to know is how this creature reacts to the Iron Curtain... well, the force shield. If it can delay this demon's advance for a reasonable amount of time, it might be a good idea to install it."

Dr. Polmashol looked around and asked. "Walewski and I can assist with further analysis of the samples. But for now... excuse me, but do you have any... record of its voice? We can potentially lure it with similar sound wave, since the winter fog somewhat reduces the visibility. Well, who knows what will come out of the portal later. The quicker we are done with this one, the better."

Outside, the Cossacks were waiting and observing their allies. As of now, there seemed to be only the Skyhookedians and the Bengali. Zitravian Cossacks were no longer parading the reputation of "the free people" but they were still more or less in good spirit. There was no woman at all in the Cossack Regiment, and many of them were actually related either as brothers or cousins.

So by the least, they would be looking for similar fraternization with the foreign troops. They shook hands with other soldiers smalltalked with them for a bit. One of them, who was the youngest of the three Samoyylov brothers, approached one of the Battle-Bonded warriors. The man was young and fresh out of military university -- he did not even bother to grow a moustache. "Sincere greetings, brother. How are you?" He then noticed the less enthusiastic soldiers from Bengal and Assam and addressed them. "Make your heart still before the battle, comrades. So that you do not fight with your worries and concerns when your target is something else."
