Isuzu was looking through her old books in her library, when she found a book named "The Short History of Amurria", published in 2014. When she opened it, a small section grabbed her attention. Below is what that section says:

===Taipei, August 1986===
===A short retelling of the events that took place decades ago in Taiwan===

2nd August

The government of Taiwan has proposed once again in the Imperial Congress that Taiwan be given independence from the Empire, a request which, like all others before, fell on deaf ears. The local government decides to plan protests in Taipei and all other major cities on the island.

3rd August

Protests begin in Taipei, the protesters demand independence from the Empire. The local police force, which fell under the control of the Taiwanese local government, did not take any steps to stop the protests, despite the clear order from Edo. The following statement is sent by the governor of Taiwan to Edo: "Leave Taiwan alone!". The Kenpetai is sent to Taipei in the hopes of eliminating the ones organizing the riots.

4th August

By now, almost 3 million rioters have gathered in Taipei, and soon began storming the Imperial Palace of Taipei, killing all Amurrians that could not evacuate in time. The order to begin an invasion of Taiwan is given by the Shogun, with the approval of the Imperial Congress. The members of the House of Sina are safely evacuated from their houses in Taiwan to New Osaka.
The Imperial Army launches Operation "Overlord", planning multiple landings and air borne assaults against coastal cities. Military bases on the island enter into alert and begin pushing outwards, with the goal of surrounding Taipei.

5th-7th August

During these 3 days the Army deploys radio jammers, effectively cutting off the island's radio communication. This plunges parts of the Taiwanese Militia into anarchy, making them easier to eliminate. The Imperial Army is slowly closing in to Taipei.

8-18th August

Siege of Taipei:
  • 8th August: The Imperial Army reaches the city. The Militia refuses to surrender. Artillery is brought and begins firing at the rebel positions.
  • 9th August: The rebels fortify the outer buildings, launching wave attacks from them, halting any progress.
  • 10th-14th August: Finally the outer perimeter of the city is breached, and all rebel soldiers in it are either killed or captured. The second phase of the attack begins. The Old Yamato battleships are called, they are expected to arrive in two days.
  • 15th August: The Army calls air strikes on the main rebel hold outs, but half of the planes are shot down by rebel air defenses. A push for the Imperial Palace begins.
  • 16th August: The Yamato battleships arrive, and by 12:00 begin the bombing of places presumed to be rebel hidings. Most of the city's buildings are leveled.
  • 17th August: The final push for the Imperial Palace begins, the main rebel force is weakened and most of their soldiers surrender.
  • 18th August: The Imperial Palace is retaken. The leaders of the rebellion commit suicide before the Imperial Army could reach them.

19th August

Peace is finally restored on the island, efforts to clear out all rebel forces still keep going, but projects to rebuild Taipei are also created. The main institutions of Taiwan are merged with their counterparts in mainland Amurria. All Taiwanese political parties are disbanded and forbidden.

===These were dark times===
===May they never happen again===

After reading it, she remembered the current situation of the Empire: Taiwan was once again asking for independence, this time though maybe the Kenpetai will do their job and eliminate anyone who supports such ideals. Despite being a democratic person, Prime Minister Asano did not shy away from promoting or accepting harsher punishments for the enemies of the Empire, or those who wanted it's downfall, nor did she shy away from promoting ways to stop those persons from spreading their ideas, even if it meant their deaths. But she hopped it will not come to that, especially now when Taipei is one of the most advanced cities in the Empire.

The Kizil Caves, Xingjiang, 17:21, 11th December 2018

Zhe-Wei was part of a construction team assigned to work in the Kizil caves, the ancient stone structures that were carved into the surface of the mountain range was to be expanded. Dust and sand covered the outside and the only break from the unrelenting sun was in the caverns, work had begun around three months ago when the order was given, a new entrance was to be built at the other side of the mountain which would connect the Tarim basin with Transoxsina, this would allow military deployment to be better and create a larger base to garrison troops. Zhe-Wei was not a man who particularly liked war, the concept of bloodshed and death never came to please him, but it was his duty to serve his nation and do what he could to protect his family. Architects from across Jazado were sent there to sculpt the stone and create a more aesthetic environment. The workers were nowhere near finished, but a project of that size would come to take some time, travelling from one end to the other would be a three day walk a cavern of that size would not only be used to garrison soldiers but also to house people too.

The Kizil Caves was where Xue-Hao of House Liu started his journey in the 1001 Tales of the Western Sands a story well known to all Jazadoan people, working in Kizil was a privilege and seeing the ancient structures from whence a legend was borne was more than most people could ask for. Zhe-Wei’s break was short when he worked under the heat of the sun but inside, he found that his break passed faster as he watched sculptors carve patterns and designs from the times of antiquity, as he worked, he was fascinated by the breath-taking art work that was constructed by masons and refined by skilled architects. He was not one of the famed architects or designers who made the place most memorable, no he was the man who laid the building blocks of what they used to make such pieces of art. Every worker in Kizil was payed thrice the amount of an average worker and when he had time Zhe-Wei found himself either watching the masons and their works or having his mind drift of to his home and think of his family. Though it hurt to stay away from home he had to support his family and help his nation, this was his duty and the duty of all men.

The Barracks were already finished and housing for the workers was far superior to any in the nation, there were 50 rooms designated to the workers and each housed four people, the design of the interior had a beauty unmatched and provided more than enough space for its residents to be satisfied. The rooms for the soldiers were somewhat lesser than the ones the workers had, it held eight men instead of four, but 50 rooms were still given to them. Supplies had already been stocked in the store rooms and each of the storage compartments had dimensions of roughly 100 by 70 meters, there were three of them one each side of the facility, three on the side of the soldiers and three on the side of the workers. A kitchen and mess hall were also constructed, and food was beginning to be served, the sky had darkened, and the moon started to show itself driving away the sun. Maotai was a beverage that was well known and served around the country and Kizil was not a place it would miss, Dumplings and Chicken was served with rice, everything was always served with rice.

“A drink for the man of the hour!” Said Xi-Zi who was a longtime friend of Zhe-Wei’s,

Zhe-Wei had mined into a cavern that proved to be larger than what most people expected, in fact most people expected to dig for another year, with the discovery of the tunnel construction would be faster and two weeks’ worth of work was done. Zhe-Wei was awarded with a months' worth of pay and he sent this back to his family wishing them good luck, he would not be with them until a long time and until then he would work and support his kin in the best way he could.

“Yes, a toast to the man who made our lives a tiny bit easier!” Said another,

“To the man who got me home to my family earlier!”

“Let us drink!”

The men drank in salute to Zhe-Wei, he felt a sense of pride and accomplishment, something he had not felt in a long while, after a few more drinks he was ecstatic but that was probably the alcohol taking effect. The men drank, they feasted and found themselves in a deep slumber, one that would give them the energy to work for the coming months.

Karelograd

Ever since the reforms, Karelograd was a busy city. You could have compared it to many more western capitals. Private businesses flourished, along with the larger companies. You didn´t see riot police combating protestors in the streets. You saw new newspapers with more information than ever. People were smiling and talking to each other. It was a changed people and nation.

Boris´s Bar

The Saturday Game was on. It was the Petrograd Sharks against the Karelograd Bears.

¨These new American Football games are very fun and interesting.¨. Viktor Krasvorotov remarked. Viktor had been the 1st elected Representative for the State of Karelograd(OC: NOT THE COUNTRY, THE STATE). ¨Yes, and I also find this whole thing interesting.¨. His friend remarked. ¨What do you mean?¨. Viktor asked him. ¨Well, this entire change.¨. ¨We´re becoming very western, and it´s not like I have a problem with it, but what do you think the people think of this? We´re adopting culture we´ve hated for a long time!¨. Viktor laughed. ¨Look around you. Everybody´s wanted this change. People are smiling, people are not protesting anymore. We are making a Better Karelograd, and a better world.¨. ¨To the monarchy?¨ Viktor raised his cup. ¨To the Monarchy.¨. His friend said as they toasted with their cups together.

Edo, Empire of Amurria, 11:49, 12th November 2018

The streets of the capital city were filled with cheering crows, who gathered around the Imperial Palace, celebrating the marking of 100 years since the Unification of Amurria, when the leaders of the Hokkaido Clan and the King of Edo met for the first time in Edo, where they signed the peace treaty that made Amurria what it is today. In exchange for becoming a part of the Empire, and staying loyal to it, the Hokkaido Clan was given control over the newly-established Imperial Army, their role being in recruiting and managing the Armed Forces. Although 6th of July is the date when the Empire of Amurria was born, it is on 12th December when it unifited,

On the main streets of Edo, in theaters and on TV, everywhere, one could see plays showing the history of the Empire, and expositions were created showing the Amurrian art, as it evolved from 1918 to 2018. When the time reached 12:00, on the TV screens within all the big cities of the Empire began showing the speech of the Emperor, followed by a history of the Empire with all the major events, and then the military parade.

Emperor's speech

People of Amurria, my dear brothers and sisters, today, 12th December 2018, we mark 100 years since the Unification of the Empire! A great day, when my great-grand father had met with the then-head of the Hokkaido Clan, in order to discuss a peace to the 6 year-long War of Clans, and marked the day when all of Amurria embraced the worship of Azura, our protector goddess, which has guided us throughout our history!

While the Empire may be in a complicated situation in today's age, let this not stop us from celebrating this grand day. We wish for our allies, and enemies alike, to prosper, and work with us towards achieving world peace. To insure the solidity of these ages and contribute to world peace is the far-sighted policy which was formulated by our great, illustrious, imperial grandsire and our great imperial sire's experience, and which we lay constantly to heart; to cultivate friendship among nations and to enjoy prosperity in common with all nations - has always been the guiding principle of our empire's foreign policy.

And so, people of Amurria, let us celebrate this day, the birthday of the Empire.

History of Amurria

1917: The Kingdom of Edo, the first political iteration of the Empire, is founded.

6th July 1918: The Yoshihito Constitution is created, formally marking the beginning of the Empire of Amurria.

1952: The Imperial Armed Forces reforms are enacted, once again empowering the Shogun with the overview of the Armed Forces, but their head quarters is moved in Edo,

1968: The Edo Protests happen, the citizenry demanding freedom of expression. The Imperial Army is sent to deal with the protests. The protesters disperse quickly, but their ideals spread.

9th July 1975: The Imperial Constitution, which took elements from both the Yoshihito and Republican Constitutions, is adopted.

23rd February 1992: The first Amurrian lands on the moon.

5th December 2001: Chinese terrorists attack and destroy the New Osaka Tower, where the most important persons of the Empire were meeting. The only member of the Imperial Family that survived was Crown-Prince Yamato, who soon was sent into hiding. Soon the Second Republic of Amurria is established.

2003: The Imperial Armed Forces is expanded, reaching 2 million active personnel, from it's pre-2001 500,000 personnel.

6th July 2007: Emperor Yamato ascends to the throne, marking the end of the second republic.

22nd October 2018: The Co-Prosperity Sphere is established as a military-economic alliance between the Empire of Amurria and the Federal Republic of Minjok.

After the speech and the short history of the Empire, on the great TVs, and in many cities, the military parade began. In Edo, it began from the Imperial Palace where the Emperor and the Shogun, together with the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, were riding in a convertible, followed by the marching Imperial Guards, then the soldiers which fought in Vladivostok and Sakhlin, the Mainland Self-Defense Force, and the 2nd Airborne Battalion of the Imperial Air Force. After the infantry came the motorized and armored battalions, then the planes and choppers of the Imperial Air Force.

Riga

Riga was an important city to Karelograd. It was a River city featuring Naval and Trade ports. It also used to be a place full of violent riots. However, since these new reforms, it was changed. It was a much brighter city then it used to be. Christmas lights were hung across the buildings and houses, while the perfect snow set in. Even on places like the Vecrīga, lights lit up the town. Instead of Military Police patrolling the streets, Carolers sing Christmas songs in Latvian. For once, Latvians were happy. Before the reforms, the city was a dark place. Latvians were often treated poorly by Military Police stationed there, as they had been known to riot a lot. Meanwhile, there was a monument being built for all the Latvians oppressed and killed in Riga, and it was being paid for by Karelograd itself. It would be called the ¨kritušie varoņi¨, or fallen heroes.

Today the nation of Cottonlay celebrates the day it gained its independence, when our first nation’s people came across the world to find a land to settle in, they traveled through harsh journeys to come to a land where they could be free and grow a family. The journeys they took were rough, many of them dying from the harsh winters, diseases, and fights with hostile tribes. They finally found this land after years of searching and started to build a civilization which would be named Cottonlay to symbolize the hard working farming people. The civilization started off small with only a couple hundred but people across the world came to Cottonlay in hopes of starting a new life. Some countries started to recognize the small nation and began trade and relations.Hundred years later, the nation would have millions and has become the land of opportunity. Where people could work and provide for their families, a place where they are free, a place that they could call their home. God bless Cottonlay and god bless the Cottonlay people

Terror Attack in New Vladivostok During the Celebration of the Centenary of Amurria!
On 12th December 2018, a group of insurgents has attacked the center of the city, detonating a bomb underneath the main parade avenue. Most of the suspects have been caught, but some have escaped.

Miki Ari
13th December 2018 | Vladivostok

Vladivostok - A terrorist attack had happened in the newly rebuilt city of Vladivostok, during the military parade organized by the Imperial Army. The bomb went off at 12:31 in the Revolution Square, where months ago the great fight to liberate Vladivostok took place. A militant group from Manchuria claimed the attack, proceeding to order the Empire to pull out from the region. After the attack, two of the three suspected terrorists were arrested by the Kenpetai. The aftermath of the attack consists in 2,012 casualties, mostly of Russian origin, and 3,201 wounded, including the Imperial Army soldiers.

Soon after the bomb went off, the marching soldiers, that were not hurt, got orders to help any civilians and military personnel that may be stuck under the rubble, or may need medical assistance. One hour after the explosion most of the wounded were found and sent to the hospital. It is suspected that those who organized this bombing also orchestrated the attempt on the Prime Minister's life in New Osaka.

We only were able to interview a few persons, mostly personnel from the Imperial Army, and a survivor from the attack. And so, we will begin with the witness, a man of Russian descent. He did not get as hurt as the other wounded, but the explosion made him lose an arm.

Interviewer: So, sir, what do you remember from before the attack?
Man: I know I was sitting on my balcony, watching the parade, when I saw someone go near the central statue, then run quickly. Not minding it, I kept watching the parade, before being called by my wife, and when I turned, the bomb went off. I know I heard a loud bang, then I lost consciousness. Next thing I know I woke up in this hospital, missing an arm.
I: Who do you think is responsible for the attack?
M: Isn't it obvious? Those damned terrorists! Although as far as I know, most of my relatives and friends are OK with the Imperial rule, those rebels keep saying nonsense, like how the Empire is oppressing us when, in fact, it helped us modernize!
I: Let's get back to the bombing, why do you think those terrorists would detonate a bomb during the parade?
M: Simple, they want to show the Empire that they are a threat, and try to lower the morale of the Imperial Army. Fiends.
I: Thank you, we will leave now.

Next we have managed to interview Anna Pavlov, an Imperial Officer in the Peacekeeping Force, who also helped rescue the Prime Minister in New Osaka. She was born, and lost her father in Vladivostok in 1991, with the fall of the Russian Far Eastern nation, and together with her mother emigrated to Amurria. Ever since she wanted to bring peace and order to Vladivostok, and thus was among the first to sign up for the peace keeping operation in Manchuria.

I: Can you tell us what happened during the attack?
Anna: I, together with a few soldiers, were flying in a helicopter around the Square, checking the area for any suspicious activity. While not very effective, we did see a group of two persons, dressed all in black, approach the statue in the middle of the Square, where they dropped what looked like a bag. We sent the information to the ground forces, which were to go investigate, but before we could finish giving the order, the two persons left the scene, and the bomb exploded, almost crashing the helicopter. We were lucky that we were not directly nearby, otherwise we would have crashed.
I: What is your opinion on the current situation?
A: What do you mean?
I: What do you think about the terrorists, and what their reasoning may be. You also helped in the rescue of the Prime Minister, right?
A: Yes. I think those terrorists should surrender. If they want a prosperous Manchuria, look no further than the Empire. They have begun the construction of many highways connecting the main cities, and a complete rebuild of the railroads. I can say it is true, because I have overseen these projects.
I: What do you think would make them stop from attacking innocent people?
A: Either the realization that the Empire is not a threat, or a total defeat.
I: I see, thank you for your time.

As you can see, those terrorists attack infrastructure and innocent civilians. We might understand them if they attacked only the Imperial soldiers, but attacking innocents in the name of a free Manchuria is not just cruel, but also gains them more and more hatred from the common folk. The Kenpetai has managed to identify the explosive used, namely a make-shift bomb made from the combination of more C4 type bombs. It is speculated that there may be more military bases hidden in the forests of Manchuria, where these rebels may hide and store their equipment.

These attacks are linked by some people with the New Osaka one, where a group of terrorists blew up the bridge connecting the Airport to the Business District, forcing the traffic to move through the Chinese District, and then using the local gangs to try to kill the Prime Minister. We hope that they will not happen again.

This marks a great tragedy for the Empire and it's people.

The History of Candanadium

Postby Candanadium » Sun Dec 16, 2018 8:44 am

November 11, 1782: Inspired by the recent independence of Greater Canada, the native Inuit peoples of Northern Canada as well as those descended from Viking explorers declare independence from Great Britain in a similar fashion, albeit with less violence. The Candanadiumian Declaration of Secession is sent to the British Parliament. With the memory of the Greater Canadian Revolutionary War still fresh in mind, Great Britain recognizes the Dominion of Candanadium. November 11 is declared as Remembrance Day, and Konigstadt (Whitehorse) is declared the capital of Candanadium.

January 20, 1783: After much debate within the Provisional Parliament, it is decided the Candanadium shall become a constitutional monarchy, ruled by a local monarch who will respect the people's wishes. All those of noble blood may put a claim to the new Candanadiumian Crown. This event is known as the Kingsmoot, and in the end, Edward of House Magnar, born of ancient Viking blood is chosen by popular vote to serve as the first King of Candanadium, Defender of the Dominion, and Shield of the True North. The first chancellor, Robert C. McKenzie is appointed by Parliament. During this time, Parliament is split into the lower and upper houses, which are the House of Commons and the King's Privy Council, respectively.

1850s: During the reign of King Edward III Magnar, large numbers of Germans and Scandinavians immigrate to Candanadium. This prompts Parliament to introduce social services provided in German, in order to accommodate the new immigrants. However, this decision proved to be unpopular among the native population, causing large-scale demonstrations and riots in Konigstadt and other cities.

1860: Parliament passes a bill making German an official language alongside English. This triggers riots and civil unrest in the countryside, and tensions are still high.

1862: King Edward III is found dead in his bed at the age of 43, with a letter opener stuck in his throat. The current Chancellor, Wilhelm Schmidt is found guilty of the crime, having been seen sneaking into the royal residence in the dead of night. The German-Candanadiumian community is in uproar, claiming that the Chancellor is being used as a scapegoat in order to remove German-Candanadiumians from government positions, however, the native Candanadiumian community sees this as an insult and an attack on the monarchy. Street warfare breaks out, and thus begins the Candanadiumian Civil War. The Candanadiumian Defence Forces initially side with the crown and the native Candanadiumians, however, desertion rates soon skyrocket. The main belligerents in this conflict are the Candanadiumian Crown (native Candanadiumians), and the Candanadiumian Government (immigrants). They become known as the Royals and the Republicans, respectively.

1863: The Great Fire of Konigstadt occurs in the midst of the civil war, causing thousands of civilian and military casualties. The remnants of the Royal Candanadiumian Government relocates to Yellowknife, soon renamed New Konigstadt. Both sides are blamed for the fire, though the causes are still unclear to this day.

1864: The Republicans are forced to relocate to Iqaluit, on Baffin Island. Soon, the Siege of Iqaluit begins, from both land and sea. Later in the year, the Republicans officially surrender, and the country is once more united. King Hans I Magnar issues the first and only royal decree, granting the citizens of Candanadium the right to keep and bear arms, in order to resist a tyrannical government and to prevent a second civil war. Konigstadt is rebuilt, however, the government stays in New Konigstadt. German is kept as a co-official language, as a sign of goodwill towards the German community.

1870s: Gold and silver are discovered in Candanadium, beginning the Great Candanadiumian Gold Rush. The mining industry booms, kickstarting the economy, previously crippled by war.

1880s: Oil is discovered in Candanadium, thus starting the massive Candanadiumian crude oil industry.

1898: Canadian citizens Thomas Cook, Enar Skjeggstad, Nanoq, Uqalik, Amaqjuaq, and Tekkeitsertok are granted honourary Candanadiumian citizenship, for the feat of reaching the North Pole via Candanadium, a feat once attempted by Candanadium but never achieved.

1903: Candanadium becomes the first nation to import an airplane, the invention of its southern neighbour, Greater Canada. The Candanadiumian Air Defence Force (CADF) is formed, becoming the fourth branch of the Candandium Defence Forces (CDF), alongside the Candanadiumian Army, the Royal Candanadiumian Navy, and the Candanadiumian Marine Corps (CMC).

1955: Candanadium establishes the northernmost permanent human settlement, CDFS Alert.

1966: Candanadium launches its first satellite, Polaris.

1969: Candanadium launches its first manned space mission, Aurora I.

1970: Uranium ore is discovered in Candanadium, prompting construction of nuclear power plants and the testing of nuclear weapons.

1972: Candanadium tests its first nuclear bomb on a small island in the Hudson Bay.

1985: Candanadium gains access to the internet due to close relations with Greater Canada.

1998: The current King of Candanadium, Richard I Magnar, ascends to the throne following the death of his father, William IV Magnar. Richard I is the first Candanadiumian king to have foreign blood, his mother being a lady of House Liu of Jazado.

2016: The current Chancellor of Candanadium, Maxime Bernier, of the Constitution Party of Candanadium is elected to office with a majority government. The next federal elections will take place in 2021.

A letter to the King and Queen of Canadium

My Kinsmen, I salute you!
It seems that a Kingdom North
Has come forth from an Empire East,
Magnar a house west
met with Liu a house east
and this union together shall form
a sting bond between our nations.
We support your independence
And it was us who aided you,
This union of our Houses
and fellowship of our peoples
shall make with adamantine chains
an alliance, one unbroken!
We offer you Shield of the North
an alliance with the Jade Dragon east.

From, the Emperor Liu Kang, Jade Dragon, Defender of Jazado and ruler of the Middle Kingdom.

Liu Kang turned to Liu Bei and asked, "Have diplomatic relations begun yet?"

"Yes, the Chairman is on his way to New Konigstadt as we speak. We have plans for a few trade deals."

"That's good enough, I think this is the best news we've heard in a long while." Said Liu Kang.

"It truly is." Answered Liu Bei.

A Slice of Life #1

Postby Amurria » Wed Dec 19, 2018 12:56 pm

Imperial Academy of Applied Sciences, High-School Complex, Sapporo, Empire of Amurria

"To be honest, school is pretty boring." said Alexei, as he prepared for the 5th period, the Akarean Language.

"Yeah, and I do not understand a single thing from this language! Even though it may use a similar writing script to old Japanese, and ancient Chinese, their pronounciations are as hard as one would imagine! English is way easier!" replied Takeru slightly pissed off. "What use does Akarean have for me? I do not want to live there, I want to live here, or hopefully get a house in Edo or Kyoto."

As he said this, the classroom's door opened and in came an old man, who barely had any hair left on his head. The classroom proceeded to stand up and bow, saying encore the words they were so used to saying that they lost their meaning, "Good Afternoon, Teacher". As the old man sat down on his chair, the class followed suit. A silence fell, as the liveliness from before had disappeared. This teacher had a reputation as being one of the school's most authoritarian teachers, teaching a language that not many people can learn how to just read, let alone speak.

"He seems mad." whispered Takeru as he opened his notebook and saw a student stand up and say:

"I forgot my notebook at home, sir. I am sorry."

"Say it in Akarean and I will not give you a 2." the teacher replied. (The Amurrian system uses grades from 1 to 10. 1 being the smallest mark and 10 being the highest.)

"Du e mun yen gun xi sha gin (薬札区旧険)" said the student.

"Wrong! It's du e men yun qun xiu shan jin!" replied the teacher angrily. "Two for you!" he said as he placed a 2 in the direction of the student's name in the teacher's book.

The teacher then looked at Takeru, who tried to hide behind his classmate.

"You, how do you say "I go home" in Akarean?" he looked in Takeru's eyes.

"Sao yan du e tu che on ke yung (方薬号合)" Shirogane answered as quickly as possible.

"Correct, but what about "I intend to go home"? If you know this, you'll get a 10." the old man said almost smiling.

"Simple, we just add the verb "to intend" and the first person, singular. So the result would be sao yan du e tu che on ke yung yuan (方薬号合誠)" Said Takeru confidently.

"Again, correct! You get a 10!" the teacher said as Takeru sat down.

"Wow, since when do you know Akarean?" asked Alexei whispering.

"Since never, I do not know Akarean." he replied happy that he received a good mark at such a hard period.

"But what about The people of Akarea and the people of the Northerly Empire are similar in some ways.?" asked an unknown voice.

"That would be <<Sao ien aharehe xiu han sao ien bei un dau gon xi mao>> (方露非方回坂州), but who asks?" replied the old man.

A man dressed in black, followed by the school's principal came in.

"Kids, this is Sakiri Miyogi. He works with the Kenpetai." said the principal.

"A pleasure to meet you. No need to bow. I came here for your teacher." Sakiri said as he looked at the Akarean teacher. "May we go to the office and talk?"

"Of course." said the teacher.

"Students, you are free to go home. School has ended for you today." said the principal as he left the classroom.

"Strange, what would they want from the teacher?" asked Takeru confused.

"Who cares, maybe they'll change him. Either way, let's go!" Alexei replied as he quickly began packing to go home.

"Yeah."

They soon went each to their homes, and by evening, Takeru forgot about this incident. He had more worrying things to care about.

Krasnodar

¨Today, we honor some of the bravest people in our city´s history.¨. Remarked the Representative of Krasnodar.

¨These people risked and gave their lives in an attempt to gain political and civil rights in our once autocratic nation.¨.

¨They are the Karelogradian Liberation Movement.¨.

¨Hundreds, maybe thousands of these brave protestors leaked some of the Empires horrible crimes.¨. ¨And thousands lost their lives in the process.¨

¨But after some time, the Empire gave up the autocratic rule and settled for a more peaceful version.¨

¨So today, I give to you the KLM Memorial Park!¨.

He cut the ribbon that was around the entrance. it unveiled a beautiful park, featuring a fountain with a big statue of burning books in them. Kareleogradian Flags flew beside the fountain. There was a plague, with the following written on it.

A broken door, a broken glass.
A broken vase, and broken past.
the Night consumed the house.
The darkness fed on fear.
And as the hour came near.
Aroused a horrible fear.
A broken door, a broken glass.
A broken city, surrounded by deaths wrath.
A screaming child, A single bang.
And then there was no more.

И так ночь кончается.

To the Esteemed King Richard of House Magnar, Azura bless his soul,

In the name of Emperor Yamato of the House of Edo, Guiding Light of the Amurrian People,
I propose a trade deal which will benefit both of our nations, which will bring prosperity to both of our people.
I see that you are having food shortages, and we produce more food than we need, so Sapporo Industries will, on our behalf, send you all the food you need, to feed 200,000 people.
In exchange, we request mining rights to your uranium deposits. The mining operations will be overseen by the New Osaka Heavy Industries corporation, and their safety will be ensured by the New Osaka Self-Defense Industries corporation.
We wish you consider this deal, and will make the right decision.

Signed,
The Prime Minister of the Empire of Amurria,
Honorary Member of the House of Edo,
Asano Isuzu.

In the name of Richard of House Magnar, the First of His Name, King of Candanadium, Defender of the Dominion, and Shield of the True North,

To Her Excellency Asano Isuzu, Prime Minister of the Empire of Amurria,

The people of Candanadium are grateful for your offer, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.
We will give permission for the New Osaka Heavy Industries corporation to begin uranium excavation attempts in the province of East Yukon. You may begin operations as soon as possible, however, we ask that should you discover any new deposits of rare earth metals, such as gold, silver, zinc, or more uranium, or other resources such as crude oil, you are to notify local authorities of its discovery and request permission to mine it.

The New Osaka Self-Defence Industries Corporation shall be granted a licence to operate within Candanadium, but they will be subject to all firearms laws and regulations. We ask that you provide a list of weaponry that the NOSDI intends to bring into Candanadium, which will be inspected by the Candanadiumian Customs Agency. The port of Iqaluit in Frobisher Bay will be open to Amurrian food shipments. I look forward to a new age of prosperity for both nations.

Aboard the INS Musashi, somewhere in the Arab Sea, 23rd December 2018

The captain was laying down in his cabin, trying to get some sleep after spending a whole day working in the desert heat, transporting ammunition from the local Donvian factories to the Musashi and her escort destroyers. But the silence and what little rest he could get was broken by a knocking in his metal door. Tiredly, he stood up and opened it. The soldier bowed before him, then said:

"Sir, we have news."

"Good or bad?"

"Good, we received a shipment from the Donvian Fleet, a symbol of gratefulness if you may. And as their holiday, Christmas, is in two days, why not celebrate?" the soldier replied.

"Fine, let's see what they gave us."

They walked onto the deck of the battleship, where in the middle there was a cargo container, still sealed, which quite strangely was wrapped in red paper. On the sides it was written, in Amurrian, Japanese and Arabic: "For the crew of Musashi, Merry Christmas!". Hesitantly they opened the container, and inside there were a few crates of wine and a scale model of the battleship.

===To be Continued===

(I have no inspiration but I want to write this, so part 1?)

Having finished the report on the Geo-politics of Asia, Yi Joon-Dae sat on his bed. Looking at his computer.

"Finally, after 2 days, I am done with this report." he thought to himself as he clicked the *send* button. Yi looked toward his calendar and noticed it was Christmas Eve. With that, he looked out his apartment window, seeing the capital city, Tongjjok, covered in snow. With his report done, he could finally walk down to his local PC cafe and play some video games. Grabbing his jacket and his fur hat, he walked out of his apartment. Walking toward the cafe, he saw the neon light advertising the PC cafe.

Walking in the huge room, he walked towards the counter with a machine, fished out his membership card, and inserted the card in the machine. He then walked toward his designated computer and started up Legion of Warfare. Just as he found a game, he heard his stomach rumble.

"What a great time to be hungry" he thought to himself as he walked towards the shelf. There they had cup noodles and drinks. Pouring the boiling water in the bowl, he carried the drink and the cup noodle back to his place. There, he started playing, routinely consuming the food he brought.

Walking out of the place, he look up toward the sky.

"So dark, I better buy myself some kimbap" he said to himself as he walked towards the plaza. The plaza was filled to the brim with lights and a huge Christmas tree in the middle. There, he saw it.

"Dammit, why is there couples in this area? Oh wait, dammit." Yi thought to himself as he walked towards the street market. There he bought 2 rolls of kimbap. Walking home, he was thinking to himself about tomorrow and how he was going to spent Christmas day. At that moment, he felt a bump on his shoulder. Looking over, he saw a glassed girl.
