Events since 1977:
- In a 2-1 vote the Defense of the Collective Mind Act was ratified by the Executive Council outlawing the public display and worship of religion, and forbid the administration of Sacraments. Numerous religious monuments were vandalized as well as a the lynching of several prominent churchmen by paramilitary forces.
- New curriculum is introduced to the school system that emphasis' English over the native Camelonean Gaelic and the old legends and epics were replaced by Marxist and other modern literature. The practice of keeping 'kin-objects' was outlawed and hundreds were destroyed in the first week as the regime begins to flex its muscle even more. The display of clan tartans and family crests have been outlawed as well. To replace the Camelonean Catholic Church, and the smaller Fellowship of Camelonean Christians, the Chamber of Comrades passed a resolution to establish a 'Cult of Reason' to fill the spiritual void. Several historically important monasteries were razed with the monks having disappeared.
- The Committee for the Safeguarding of the Revolution is established and given broad powers to weed out underlying reactionary forces, within a month almost five thousand people went missing. A Science and Art Initiative was adopted to promote 'Faith and roots to the great goals of the revolution'.
- All monastic lands have been confiscated, as well as the monasteries being ransacked. The lands have been given over to the 'New Towns' where the old order will be replaced by the vitality of the new.
- The Great Sprint is given the go ahead causing unrest as clans in unruly places of the nation are broken up and relocated with many being placed in newly built factory towns to facilitate industrial productivity. Formerly secured areas in the east of Yeris rise up in revolt under the banner of the Knights of St. Michael, an insurgent group primarily made up of monks and some devout laymen.
- As the fighting increases in intensity in the north the rest of the country continues on as normal. The Red Knight, a former knight of the Kingdom who has sworn himself to the Communist revolution, rises to prominence with exploits on the battlefield but has butt heads with the political leadership publicly as he calls for a uniquely Camelonean Communism over the internationalism prevalent within the government. The Phalanx Party has gained a few more seats in the Chamber of Comrades.
- Nothing of note happened here besides fighting in the north.
- The Executive Council signs off on the plan from the Chamber of Comrades that authorizes the destruction of the necropolis' across the landscape citing it examples of the thoughtless decadence of the old regime. Public protests emerge throughout SCC controlled Camelone with only a few of the necropolis' destroyed while the old capital of Cnoc na Teamhrach rises in revolt aided by surviving Royalist insurgents with other liberation's occurring throughout the heartland.
- Rebel forces across all fronts make substantial gains but there is no unified command, by the end of 1986 the Royalist insurgents declare that they are the Royal and Catholic Army of Camelone led by the charismatic King Ludwig Krieger, Warlord of Camelone. Protestants in the south rise up after the death of a beloved Reverend in a mining accident quickly securing several towns and cities in the south as Heaven's Levy. It seemed that the Social Commonwealth of Camelone was on its last leg.
- The Red Knight wins a series of victories in the north and came crashing down southward sweeping away the resistance he came in contact with, surrounding and besieging Lord Conall in Charlesgard. With the aid of the Red Knight the tide of the war seemed to have been shifted back towards the government while King Ludwig has only narrowly avoided being entrapped by the Winter Fox.
- The current borders, the fighting has reached a stalemate as unrest in the secured cities has caused the government to keep much needed forces tied down. The Commonwealth Air Force has been ineffective with accusations of treason being thrown their way as many members of the CAF are of either noble or upper class birth, and being tied closely to the moderate Phalanx Party. Pockets of government forces are trapped throughout the north as the Royal and Catholic Army of Camelone is seen as a more credible threat due to the legitimacy that the claims of King Ludwig has in the minds of many Cameloneans with pictures of the King popping up in the government controlled cities as a form of protest. Large swathes of the country is under no ones control except for the local communities who only pray or hope that the armies stay far away from them regardless of affiliation. Already both sides have been accused of mass executions, torture, targeting civilians, and breaking numerous international rules of war, it should be noted that there have been no verification of any of these accusations as it stands. Internationally there are many Cameloneans who have seen what is happening in the Fatherland and are returning to fight for one of the four rebel armies but there are some who return to fight for the Commonwealth. Will the Royal Hawk triumph over the Socialist Rose?
