Dragon World Story RP (OOC)

I am simply curious if any are interested in joining what I call a Story RP that could become a big Nationstates thing if others do want to get involved.

Reason I call it a Story RP is because like a normal story it has a beginning and an end but what happens in between is up to those in the RP.

The basic premise is that it starts in Draganisia with a "terrorist" who actually wants to turn everyone in the world into dragons using magic/science. Many consider Dragons to be mainly animals but as the Story RP progresses the characters within it will find out that they are not really animals and are really more advanced as well.

It will start out with my characters Emperor Brian, his son Prince Jesse, and his friend Jake as they investigate an attack carried out by these terrorists and then try to track the main bad guy down before he can carry out the huge attack he is planning for the whole world.

The technology level will be more futuristic than present but not too much more advanced. More on that will be explained as the RP progresses.

So would anyone be interested in something like this if we can keep it going good?

Honestly I am good with just about everything short of total god modding.

All I ask of you and others is that if you do post that you try to get it to actually fit with what is going on as much as you can.

Maybe the demons could really be dragons or at least related to them in certain ways?

That is just an idea though. What you actually post for your nation and characters is up to you

Hmm, may involve a different group still in the same universe, then — it has one dragon character who's closely allied with a beastmaster. I can involve both of them in this if they hear news of a rampaging dragon/beast, & drag in my usual nation of Parfuhmerie at some point after. Do note that I'm set in an entirely distinct universe from any other Nationstates nations, so we'd have to work out if I ICly know about you or if you ICly know about me.

Their natural forms are dragons but they developed the ability to "disguise"/transform themselves into humans as sort of a defense mechanism so that others think they are one of them.

They are considered animals in their dragon forms because most do not know what they truly are.

They are secretive by nature and those that have gotten very close to them in dragon form were usually attacked or warned in physical ways to stay away so no one really knows that they are actually people as well.

It is also because the dragons themselves do not want others to know the real truth until the time is right.

We see magic as a threat, as a result the State Security Bureau (Theretofore refereed to the KGB) has a special Anti-magic task force that, is essentially, a Spetznas Trained Strike team tasked with countering Magical threats to the Tsarista's domain.


If I were to join to this, it would be from the Perspective of said KGB team Either working from the shadows, or working along with you (whether your people would like it or not is not relative to the KGB) using a combination of State Sanctioned Elemental based Mages, Vz. (AKs) and a lot of Bullets.

Plus, it would be personal, we see Dragons as a Revered, Holy beast, and trying to taint their image with the flawed form of man is Heresy normally worthy of as many High explosives we can throw at you.

Yea that can work

Based on what you said I think your nation and KGB would be more of a third party trying to hunt down dragons that can change whether they are good or not. At first they would probably be on the side of Jesse's team as they try to find the man responsible for the attack but as Jesse learns more about his past and that of his mother, things could change depending on where the feelings of your characters truly lie.

Will be interesting to say the least.

If possible, my current plan is to have the beastmaster character, who is ironically known as The Gatekeeper, have a vague sense of the motive of the terrorist group after hearing about it from some news source & decide to go & help your nation, Draganisia, with his beastmaster abilities. He'll be bringing along the dragon ally I mentioned, who is named Seiryuu, to help him in the form of a shrunken-down familiar as his normal form is too enormous. However, Seiryuu will only occasionally pop in since there's unlikely to be enough compatible magic in your nation's world... It's a balancing thing I enforce on myself to ensure that my characters are a bit more fair ;U.

And like the other dragons those effected will be able to switch between human and dragon at will. After they figure out how to control it.

Small Spoiler I can reveal right now:

The one responsible for the attack is Jesse's Uncle on his mother's side and his name is Gladius.

Gladius will be the big bad guy for this one but if things go well there will probably be a lot more we can do even after Gladius's part is over.

So the dragon supremacists are the bad guys? Can I send a superheroine or few to help? Not sure who will come yet, but it'll either be the Vampire Twins, a clumsy teenage girl with explosion powers, or a regenarator.
