I'm just saying old European noble families used to marry their cousins off to each other, to "keep the blood pure" and secure the dynasty. I tried to communicate that in a little ditty, insinuating that Lourdes and Cleone are hitched and gonna get married/or are with each other romantically due to them being from a very traditional monarchy.

Yeah, in that light, it might only stay at a sort-of schoolyard crush. None of the Kyrenaians would want to risk troubles within the lands of their valued friends - and Dschamilla wouldn't want Cleone to get into trouble because of her. She'll definately not convert, so that option's out.
A sage piece of wisdom the Kyrenaians always liked was "Respect for the laws of others means peace." (It's actually from Benito Juarez, but you get the picture).
