Flames in Zaferlani [TG/OOC/INTEREST/MT ONLY]

The nation of Zaferlani had existed since the early 1st Century with it belonging to the Zafernian ethnic group of lands in Northern Estaria, which are now owned by both The United Republic of Zaferlani and The United Socialist States of Vymar. One of the smaller ethnic groups in Northern Estaria, Zafernian tribes were few and far between. By 1st Century A.D, many of the Zafernian tribes united themselves in the first Zafernian empire which spanned from its current borders to the northern tip of present day Vymar. This was the largest the empire of Zaferlani would ever find itself to the present day. Present day Vymar originated from the ethnic group named the Vymions, which were expansionist in nature brewing where the Southern most coastline of Vymar existed. During the Great Vymion Conquests (Which lasted from 134 A.D - 237 A.D), the Vymion Empire expanded North, absorbing the Exarter ethnic group which existed in the middle of current day Vymar. Eventually, the Vymion Empire found its way to the Zaferlani Empire which crumbled when faced with the overwhelming force of the Vymion hordes.
This began a cycle of constant humiliation and tribute state status of Zaferlani toward Vymar. This constant treatment of the Zaferlani pushed it into the small corner of Estaria it sits in now since roughly 435 A.D. As time marched on, Zaferlani fell into chaos. Due to a lack of natural resources (or a lack of found resources) a series of weak, unstable kingdoms existed until the 1900s where the unstable kingdoms turned into unstable dictatorships. Since the early 1900s, Zaferlani was controlled by militant, authoritarian, right wing dictatorships. While it was not exactly fascism, it held its own name in Zaferlani : "Zasath". In Zafernian tongues "Zasath" simply means "To strangle" which was the typical governing style of Zafernian dictators who kept the small nation tight under their grip. The only change in Zafernian culture was the introduction of the Victoresian religion "Yvloism" back in the 1500s, which already threatened to rip apart the nation due to the violent sect that was brought into the nation.
With an unstable nation accompanied by a growing violent religious sect in the mid countries of Zaferlani, by the late 1900s, Zafernians native to Zaferlani began to escape into Vymar where living standards were on average better and treatment of Zafernians was that of Vymarian citizens. This drained Zaferlani of most of its educated populace as only the educated were able to afford to start a new life in Vymar which was in need of skilled workers during the time period.
However, in 2009, Zaferlanian excavation workers had stumbled upon large amounts of gold deposits laying underneath the rolling plains of Northern Zaferlani. As expected, The Nationalist Zasath Party clamped down upon the gold mines and began to manipulate the gold reservoirs for the good of themselves and not the nation as a whole. All excavation workers who worked on the original gold mine simply disappeared, rumored to be dumped somewhere off its Northern coast. But much like all secrets, the truth simply broiled underneath the surface, awaiting its eventual eruption. In the summer of 2018, the truth erupted in a bright red fire. An extension of the same Gold deposit was found by another crew of excavation workers who were not "erased" before they could spread the word. Once word spread throughout the nation, 5 Zasath Party Members admitted to the manipulation of the Gold reservoirs in an attempt to save their own skin. An attempt ill fitted when all 5 were found and dragged through the streets by 1 of the few airports in Zaferlani. This discontent became the launching platform for the formerly low popularity movements in Zaferlani. For many, the Zasath government was no longer legitimate. It was time for revolution.
The Zafaunite Communist Party in Zaferlani quickly gained momentum in the south, quickly proclaiming its own communist government in the city of Weynt which began a number of desertions from the National Zaferlani Army into the Zafaunite Militias in the south. The communist insurrection in the south was just the beginning once President of Zaferlani, Popeknya Olivexa was nearly killed in an assassination attempt by rival party members. Once the news of the failed Assassination reached the entire nation, the mid countries dominated by radical Yvloist believers, another faction was created amongst the Yvloist followers. Yvloists believed in reincarnation, however those who lived in the mid countries believed in a more militant version. Much like Hinduism, they believed that unmoral deeds would place one further from the equivalent of eternal bliss. However, Zafernian Yvloism believed one's sins may be cleansed through glory in battle. Something the Yvloists made clear when they ransacked the small town of Tryoel, leaving no survivors and burning the town to the ground, another way to cleanse oneself of their past sins.
With the combined insanity of Religious extremists, Communists and a Nationalist Dictatorship, those who lived on the border with Vymar sought refuge. Although it would be impossible to escape en masse into Vymar, Zafernians in the south of Zaferlani claimed to be a Vymarian state. While The Vymarian government did not condone the separatist movement as to avoid war reaching into its borders, the separatists enforced a certain sovereignty from the national government, the communists and religious extremists. Unless Vymar stepped in, it would surely be swallowed by one of the three stronger factions.
Whether or not Zaferlani's future would be changed with this civil war, the only thing that was certain was the chaos that would soon ensue.

Some final comments I would like to add. If you seek to join the RP, but do not want your nation involved directly, you may RP as one of the warring sides (besides the separatists). TG me if you would be interested in that. I also understand that posts will be slower due to the incoming school year within some weeks (for some its started already) and I hope anyone who joins this RP is understanding of that as well.
