The humvees were not even equipped with the 5Ocal. machine guns they usually have. They only reason we removed people from their homes was to keep them from getting killed, and it worked. We told them ahead of time we were coming to help them. The MPRSU operatives were not even armed with lethal weaponry. The protesters fired on troops who were basically defenceless. After those incidents yes I sent in more heavily armed troops, but only because the SA people attacked my men who came to help.

The Shahpur asks if they want the Persian investigation from earlier to be continued. The Shahpur had stopped it because the occupation ended, but he realizes that the investigators can be rehired and interview people who were at the scene.

If they interview people from both sides, and if there is still evidence left, the investigation can be continued. Hopefully, the evidence they collect will help ghe WQU come to a decision and they will nlt need to worry about bias.

"And Admiral," says the Chairman. "While you may have seen it that way, the Acrenese people may have seen it another way. You don't know what people are thinking unless you consider things from their perspective. Also, though, the occupation was a unilateral decision done by SR. What SR signed up for when joining the WAU was not to make these rash unilateral decision, but wait for a position from the WAU as a whole on the matter, and then act in accordance with that. That's really what you're under fire for here, Admiral."

The Shahpur receives a call from the investigators. They say they have interviewed 150 people and collected 200 photos, 75 documents, and accounts of the events from the interviews.

The Shahpur tells the leaders this and says that he can show the evidence right away as they will send it. Though every interview has been recorded and transcripted, they can not bring the interviewees for live testifying at this moment.

The evidence is sent to the Shahpur via email. He requests a projector so he can display the evidence. He states he has not seen the evidence before and that they collected only the facts and all of the facts.

"Please, if I had waited for the WAU to make a decision, it would have never been done. Besides, I recall being told that I would handle demilitarization of the northern states. After that was done, I simply gave the order for my men to move in and begin the demilitarization."

[Oppermenia]

The evidence is sent to the Shahpur. He requests a projector so he can display the evidence. He states he has not seen the evidence before and that they collected only the facts.

The Chairman gives the Shahpur access to the projector

The Shahpur connects his laptop to the projector and starts displaying the evidence. The first is a document.

OOC: What should the document say?

OOC: That the protesters attacked the troops for no reason.

[Oppermenia]

"Please, if I had waited for the WAU to make a decision, it would have never been done. Besides, I recall being told that I would handle demilitarization of the northern states. After that was done, I simply gave the order for my men to move in and begin the demilitarization."

"You may have been told that by a leader of a member nation, but they had no authority to tell you that. And, the WAU was planning on demilitarization, but we needed to coordinate it. What matters here is that you signed up to be a part of the WAU, and now you undermine our authority. This is not the behavior of a true member nation we describe here."
OOC: It should show everything unbiased, not the protestors attacking the troops, but something where it escalated equally on both sides

OOC: Thats not what happened though. They attacked the troops when they were on a lunch break. Realistically, its usually one side that escalates it.

OOC: Let's just go with that, it needs to be unbiased so this meeting can turn hard to figure out

OOC: Nothing is ever unbiased.

OOC: Not completely, but it can be pretty close

OOC: Persia is offline, you do the document, and remember, be unbiased, the SA people started this.

OOC: Trust me, everyone has an opinion, no matter how hard they try to be unbiased.

The document shows that the SR troops came in to demilitarize SA, but then when SA people saw this, they protested. They wanted the SR troops to leave, as this was their land. They had the right to do what they wanted with it, not SR.
They wanted SR to leave, but no matter how big the protests got, SR wouldn't leave. So, on the lunch break of SR troops, they attacked to try and drive the SR troops out. It was a more minor attack, though. Pretty soon, it escalated into a full-on military fight.

After this incident, MPRSU were called in to arrest the attackers.

"Hmm," the Chairman says. "I see, this was an unfortunate incident, but nothing unjustified by SR. I'm sure it was hard in the heat of the moment on both sides, for Acrenese due to SR troops just coming in, and for SR troops just to have Acrenese attack them. I recognize how this can be a hard situation on both sides. So, I don't think I'll do any penalties this time. However, Admiral, you made this decision unilaterally. When joining the WAU, you have to take the same position as the WAU, and wait for them to coordinate it. I feel there should be penalty for that."
