Costa de Cocos has been one of the most developed countries of the continent for years, through its history the nation itself has ran in a kind of luck different to its neighbouring nations, however, this luck has not always played a role, there were many years where the country was ruled by autocrat governments that didn't thought twice before of committing human rights violations or implant neoliberalists governments, despite this Costa de Cocos continued with its distinction of being the most developed country even in the darkest times of its history.
But Costa de Cocos was not the only one in the continent with this ''democratic'' issues, every single nation on its region were under dictatorships and for many, this hasn't ended, the pollitical intervention from the superpowers has officially ceased and in some cases, like in Costa de Cocos, it's practically invisible to the normal eyes, leftists governments and the redevlopment of the country has played a role in this but many know that it is not true, even today the intervention in the politics exists, the embassies, the media and the right parties play important roles in this. Costa de Cocos, like many countries of the continent is where ''Crime and politics meet in paradise''.

OOC & RULES
I'm creating this just for the fun of writing it, I has been always wanting to write about the actual times and the connection of those with the ''Condor Plan'' of the 70's in South America. Oh, and I'll post in Spanish, it's my main language and I can't post this in English, however, I''l try to mix both languages.
Because (at least for me) it's important to have a concrete image of the places or at least a simple real world analogue, here's a list of places that I'll probably be naming.
- Some rules
- Do not post without invitation
- Read the rules

- Costa de Cocos
- A country something tropical like Costa Rica and developed like Chile or Uruguay, probably located in the Caribbean.
- Providenciales
- Capital of Costa de Cocos, I thought the city as a cool mix between Santiago de Chile, Lima and San Juan, while the shape of the city is probably based in San Juan, its climate and geography of certain coastal areas are based in the coastal and high-end parts of Lima (mainly Miraflores and San Isidro), areas farther from the coast are based in parts of Santiago de Chile, specially Vitacura, Las Condes and some others pretty areas but like I said, with a tropical aesthetic.
- Providenciales International Airport
- The airport, based in the Honolulu International Airport but with vibes of the Jorge Chavez Intl' Airport.
- Providenciales during the 80's
- I thought it as a luck of Caracas, a very unequal city with slums but also with Country clubs and gated communities.
- Country Club Hotel of Providenciales
- Country Club Hotel of Lima, dahhh.
- Embassy of the United States
- Pretty clear, the building its based in the actual embassy of the United States of America in Santiago de Chile.
