*I can explain this. This is due to a program of the Cavian government saying that any citizen who takes basic military training receives 2 year’s paid college. Many citizens take the training for the benefit, however taking basic training automatically qualifies you as a reserve. Because reserve members are so rarely needed in Cavia, many people see no risk in becoming a Reserve.

There’s a reason my active service personnel are so minimal, even after multiple conflicts and escalations. My government has been trying to improve economic growth and social welfare at the moment. Mass militarization would impede such policies as a rule. Besides that, I’m a bit more interested in logistics, technology, and tactics as opposed to raw numbers.

Lowering your active personnel would strengthen your economy, yes. That said, I expect that most of our nation’s will have to shift towards total war as this conflict drags on. If you decide to settle on one or two percent of your total population, inform me and I’ll change the statistics accordingly. Remember, these are approximate estimates that’ll probably fall to pieces when we move to in-character. Tentatively though, USUC is somewhat stronger than the Allies.

These are approximations of relative military power based on tangible material factors. They do not account for tactical or strategic dimensions, and only account for logistics in a tentative and imprecise way. They do not consider aerial or naval dominance or relative dominance in localized theaters. It's unlikely that any nation will be able to deploy more than 200,000 troops abroad by sea without securing a beach-head prior to deployment. D Day, the largest naval landing in history, transported about 160,000 troops over a narrow stretch of water. I'd expect an initial conflict in Chuukango for instance to heavily favor local troops in the first couple weeks, though a couple million troops might be involved on both sides within six months.
