Need to adjust my stats before I make my first post. My stats have been constantly fluctuating since I posted my application that I need to adjust the calculations. I have managed to bump my civil and political rights back up, so my starting Dissatisfaction level should be lowered now. Also had my population increase, so that affects my max military size.

I've already made the adjustments. Will be posting as soon as our SC gets his first post up.

Alright, I posted. Hopefully my actions will have stirred the pot and get things off to an interesting start without actually starting a war first thing.

FYI, I'm not exactly the most eloquent role player, so I found it hard to write and organize this. Don't be surprised if most of my posts turn out to be much shorter than my first IC post for this game.

I recall someone suggested that we make a discord server for the roleplay. I know how to make one, but it would be a waste of space and energy to set up a new one from scratch. So, I'm just gonna suggest that we use my region's discord server (Nations of the Light), as it hardly ever gets used (only a small number of my region's nations signed up for some reason, and those that are on there are usually offline or not very active).

I will also nominate the notion of links in the OP to the stat sheets. Thats basically what I've been doing, although I've been altering the main block itself to make things easier.

I will second the proposal for our stat sheets to be moved to personally created dispatches, with the OP having links to quickly reference them.

Side note... would you guys say that sending troops to a nation upon their leader's request to help maintain order/bring relief supplies would count as war for the purposes of determining public dissatisfaction?

IMO it's probably up to what kind of casus belli you've developed for it. If it's clear you're propping up an unpopular authoritarian regime, and knowledge of this spreads, then naturally dissent may rise. If it's for peacekeeping or brokering agreements or whatever, then maybe not.

There are a number of reasons I can think of why all of us have reacted fairly peacefully so far. Keep in mind that this is the start of the roleplay, and we are assuming that the world has been in a state of near peace for at least the past few years. We are all putting on good faces and expressing concern, because we are feeling each other out, trying to get a hold of the situation, trying to avoid ire from the other nations, etc. Chances are that our leaders and governments are dealing with special interest groups behind the scenes, but that isn't always important to what we post in the roleplay. In fact, our nations intervening to fight rebels in foreign lands could have several valid reasons for doing so without necessarily angering those interest groups. For instance, I can think of several reasons why my nation would interfere in Jackania besides just doing it out of good will (though that is likely one of the reasons why the Emperor is getting involved).

As far as city names, geography, and so forth are concerned, I never really put much thought into it. NS up till recently was a casual thing for me, a game that didn't require much effort. I would actually have to put work into that stuff, and I'm usually not the most creative in that department. I have never really used my fact-book. I just sorta make stuff up as I go.

Here's some names for cities and regions that I came up with off the top of my head:

• Settatrelsiemi (Taken from my one lonely puppet nation, use this as the regional name for my colony on the western continent)
• Darksabre (Major city on that huge island under my control off the coast of the eastern continent... which by the way, was where my capital was originally supposed to be located UCP. *cough* *cough*)
• Haven (Region, town, or city, take your pick)
• Marenda (Region, town, or city, take your pick)
• Lothaslo (Region, town, or city, take your pick)
• Retha Vandin (City)
• Var Khalandi (City)
• Var Mephopia (City)
• Var Novis (Major city named after a city in one of the books I am writing)
• Var Illidus (City)
• Saphire City (Another major city named after a city in one of the books I am writing)
• Quite a number of cities in the Empire will have the ancient prefix of "Var" or "Retha" as part of the city's name. So you can use this to name large or important historical cities or towns in my empire, and I will likely just role with it.
• And So Forth.

Sounds realistic enough to me, I guess that could work.

Yes that can work, but when a government is reliant on a foreign power to calm its
people down, there may be an issue.

Also as an update, if Jackania doesn’t have a post up soon, the events are gonna continue to hurt their situation.

And don’t be afraid to go to the next day, such as January 4th or 5th, we have time to move through so no worries on that.
