The war revolves around the three core statistics; that being Political Freedom, Civil Rights and Economy. Military technology is based on scientific advancement and industry whilst quantity is based on defense forces, health, population, etc. By this veteran nations will have a larger influence on the war than smaller ones.
However, there are other ways to fight a war than just conventional warfare. Diplomatic solutions may be sought to peacefully annex another nation. Low Civil Rights and/or high Political Freedom will result to nations being susceptible to public outcry. Corruption and crime statistics could lead to easier assassination attempts, and so on.
Rules
- No unjustified war, this means that you must state your war goal as well as having a reason in your declaration of war.
- No Out Of Character in the In Character forum.
- Keep use of Weapons of Mass Destruction to an extreme minimum. You should rarely, if ever, use them against a player.
- No godmoding.
- In Character posts and messages must at least contain two paragraphs. Put some effort into your IC posts.
- Don't do messages for one thing. By this, I mean don't just write a paragraph for responding to an email or something. Do multiple sections each with a different purpose.
- Improper grammar is unacceptable, including applications. If you can't write English properly, you will be removed.
- No apocalyptic weaponry. There is no warning for this.
- Let war build up before it breaks out. This applies to players mostly. When some guy puts a toe onto your land, don't declare war.
- If you are quoting someone, only quote the part that you are commenting on.
- Word of OP is law, unless there is good reason to debate in a civil manner.
- You will be kicked after two weeks of IC inactivity, no questions asked.
- If you're sending a letter you need to write it out, and include an encryption level.

Use National Rankings
Technology level
Determine your nation's technology score by calculating the algorithms below.
There is also the option of increasing your nation’s tech level during the RP. Here are some options for increasing your tech level:
Increase taxes to fund scientific research: +2 to Tech level, +15% public dissatisfaction
Decrease cost of schooling (more people go to college): +1 to Tech level, -5% dissatisfaction, -1% to military size
These are not the only options, your nation may do whatever you think will increase your tech level, but you must check it off with the OP first.
Military size
Below is how you can calculate the amount of active and reserve military personnel in your nation. The final percent is the percentage of your nations total population that are physically/mentally capable of serving in the military.
Starting Army and Reserves: At the start of the Roleplay, the active duty military of your nation can be no bigger than 100 Million or 10% of your Military Size, whichever is smaller. Reserve forces may be up to double your starting active Military.
Public Dissatisfaction
This is how you may calculate the satisfaction of your citizens. The final percent is the percent chance of revolts, assassination attempts on national leaders, and revolutions.
Throughout the RP you may lower the public dissatisfaction by making your citizens happy via parade, national holiday, etc.
Here are some ways to lower public dissatisfaction:
Tax cut: -10% dissatisfaction
National parade/holiday: -20% dissatisfaction
Leader gives public speech: -10% dissatisfaction
Positive propaganda: -10% dissatisfaction (only during war)
These are not the only options, your nation may do whatever you think will lower the percent, but you must check it off with the OP first.
The percentage also indicates what happens within the borders of your nation as the IC thread progresses. Public dissatisfaction can be gained when war is declared (+10%) and throughout a war depending on how long it lasts (+5 for every 3 RL days).
0%-50% -Peace
50% -Riots in the streets and citizen protests
60% -Soldiers begin to refuse to fight (-1% to military size)
70% -Assassination attempt on nation leader
80% -Terrorist attack
100+% -Massive Civil War
