Vymarian convoys into Crygaerian cities have increased within the past 5 hours as desperate attempts to wrestle control out of the Revolutionaries. While the current plan towards how Vymarian Generals aim to fix the crisis have been kept classified, we do know that two Vymarian Bases on the East of the Crygaerian island chain have been fully secured and that skirmishes between Vymarian soldiers and Crygaerian insurgents have been scattered throughout the easternmost island of the chain, "Xsasnia". According to various Military Officials, attempts at a supposed blockade may be attempted to prevent any support going to the Revolutionaries. However, it may take some time before Vymarian Naval Forces may reach Crygaer, and it will take a day or so for The Vymarian Air Force to begin tactical sorties into Crygaer. In other news, Camp Fegelin has been in a continuous battle for the past 2 days since the Crygaerian declared independence. No official casualty count has been released, however we will make sure to report the numbers as soon as - *zip

The TV was immediately shut off as Ezekiel slung his rifle onto his shoulder. He had been watching the clock atop his old CRT TV and if he was to make the rendezvous on time, he would have to leave now. He quickly walked through his apartment door and started flying up stairs. His old age made it hard for him to soar up the stairs like he did in his youth, but he was able to get to his assigned position within a reasonable time. His hair had been all grayed out and the sun of Crygaer had tanned him up to the point of a dirty orange, making his blue eyes seemingly pop out of his head. Once he entered his rendezvous point : a small, abandoned apartment room with slowly deteriorating walls. A small window was presented to him as it gave him a clear view down an entire road. Supposedly, a full Vymarian convoy was going to be driving down that road. But where this exact information came from was hazy and unsure. Nonetheless, Ezekiel stood by the window gripping his bolt action hunting rifle, ready for the incoming Vymarian Convoy. Ezekiel, despite his wisdom, was oblivious to the fact that the source of that information actually originated from undercover Vymarian Military Police which pointed him in the exact opposite direction of the incoming convoy that had the rendezvous of 10 other guerrilla fighters in the area ready to ambush the ghost convoy. As time passed, Ezekiel became impatient and poked his head out into the window. Something was wrong.

Dumph, Dumph, Dumph

The Sound of boots clamoring up the steps spiked the hair upon the back of Ezekiel's neck. He quickly turned away from the window as he exited the room and tried to relocate into a different room. As he maneuvered through the hallway in an attempt to get into another stairway he heard the Vymarian soldiers on the steps barking orders at someone on the floor right below him. He couldn't understand much, all the noises just sounded like a muffled mess. But the intent of the soldiers was loud and clear.

"Sharret!"

A Vymarian soldier stood at the other side of the hallway pointing his carbine directly at the back of Ezekiel's head. His rifle was incriminating enough, the mission was in vain. The soldier called for back up, and soon enough more soldiers came seemingly out of the woodwork to detain Ezekiel. There was nothing he could do. Two soldiers immediately tackled him to the ground, removed his rifle and cuffed him. Such was the story for many of the Revolutionaries who were preparing for the "false" ambush. Ezekiel was brought up to his feet and basically dragged down an endless flight of stairs before finally being hit with the bright Crygaerian sun. His comrades were already being hoisted up onto an APC. The plan had failed completely. Yet, there was still a positive attitude felt by many revolutionaries. As Ezekiel was thrown into the back of the APC, he watched the Crygaerian street for the last time before being driven off to be detained and interrogated at a Vymarian F.O.B. Ezekiel could not help but smile. Although he had failed his mission, he had been martyred at the same time. His arrest visible to everyone on the street would surely attract more to the cause. He rested back into the uncomfortable seat as he felt the APC begin to move towards his eventual detainment. His journey through Vymarian interrogation techniques was about to begin.

Official Statement from the Foreign Ministry of the Atrat Government:
We condemn the Vymarian occupation of Crygaer, to which the tyrannical rule by subjugating power has once again threatened the institution of democracy and liberty.

The Vymarian government has failed to provide for those under its subjugation and continues to oppress those who seek representation and their right to self rule. We hereby demand the d o withdrawal from the Crygaerian island chains and demand a supervised referendum be held within 5 weeks.

In the southernmost port of Quasite, one of the last boats to enter before full naval blockade arrived at the end of the first day of insurgency. A small ocean going fisherman’s boat unloaded in the late evening Captain Samuel Wadsworth of the Atrati Republican Guard. An expert tactician and experienced soldier, Wadsworth commanded a small unit of 50 Republican Guardsmen.
The men unloaded to greet resistance leaders on the dry dock and quickly moved into a warehouse with their equipment.

Their mission was simple, gather intelligence and provide advisory support for the Crygaerian rebellion.

"Well, what is it man? Speak up!"
"*wheeze* well sir, the *cough* Crygaerians are leading a revolution against the USSV!"
"And...?"
"*choke* *wheeze* and what are we going to do about it, sir?"

"Ah, now I see what you're getting at Basil." He smiles and shakes his head; "The Vymarians are those commie fellows, aren't they?"
"Well- not exactly sir but-"
"Close enough. Just uh, move the Navy in to keep an eye on things and see if we've got any surplus kicking around to give the rebels."
"Yessir"
"Nothing too fancy, mind; we've still got that business in Ultramarine to take care of."

In response to the crisis in the Crygaer region, The National Council of the Democratic States of Liberimery have authorized President General Ryan Lindsey to execute a Mission of Mercy to the assist in humanitarian relief during the ongoing crisis. As such, we will be dispatching two hospital ships, four Army Field Hospital Units and the Carrier Group Samuel Mission to act as protection. Mission and any ship or aircraft carrying hostile weapons will remain in international waters and will not enter any territory or airspace of Crygaer. Our personnel operating within territory of Crygaer will be armed for defensive purposes only. Liberimery retains diplomatic neutrality in this situation and we do not favor either side in this conflict. Aid is given freely to all who seek it. We only wish to protect those who are suffering do to the belligerent actions. Any hostile actions against these efforts will be seen as a declaration of war by the belligerent force. Let us all work together to prevent the needless loss of life.

Far off the shores of Crygaer, the LNS Samuel Mission begins to take formation with the other ships in her escorts as the two hospital ships steam forward into the much closer shallows of the Crygaer territory. As they approach the shores, the first of their air amublances deploy and begin SAR operations.

Captain Samuel Wadsworth and his company had loaded up into trucks and shipped off to the Crygaerian countryside to inspect elements of the Crygaerian resistance, which had been massing outside of the city of Quasite. Intel indicated that the city could come under naval attack should the resistance fully congregate within the city, and so out in the countryside was the only safe chance for the Republican Guard and Free Crygaerians.

"We need to know our force, our numbers, and our armament if we are to mount an attack on Vymarian positions. I need to speak with a leader if we are to continue with our operation. My detachment is fully loaded and prepared for an assault, but with only 50 men, there is no major target we can strike effectively. We need Crygaerians to take the lead.

"Men, we are facing a dangerous peacekeeping operation on the island of Xsasnia today, the Agarn government could be seen to be pro Crygearian due to previous denouncing of the Vymarian oppression by the foreign office and sanctions. The big ship was a Mcnernian product through and through with the combat capability that could match anything else in the world. The Achilles and such were not what was entirely wanted. Indeed Mcnernian policy was to build things that were original from McNernia itself and the HMS Avenger was the leadship of the A90 class of carriers, and so the mighty nuclear powered ship had been designed like the American Ageis destroyers and it had some stealth characteristics. But it was its own ship and was a cross between the Ageis and the Ford Class and the Mcnernian experience with Belfresian technology she was a beauty of a machine. Her commander was an Admiral of the Fleet, the man was a veteran of Hutanjia. Ryder Peterson had spent a long time on distant war patrol, he had fought in a great war and now he was going to another war. The battle would be a fierce one. But as of this moment with the fleet at alert, there was a course change. Peterson relaxed in his cabin. Eagerly thanking God for this moment, for this battle.
The fleet moved off into the oceans depths, towards glory or defeat.

INTERNATIONAL WATERS 0400

The oceans were calm and cool. A stark difference from the day before which sent waves hurling over the hulls of Vymarian ships,the metal hulls glistening in the small amount of light allowed to enter through the heavy clouds. The task force was put under the command of Admiral Joseph Csale, an older man with an unusual look to his complexion compared to his tanner Vymarian brethren. He currently stood in the bridge of the Ticonderoga Cruiser : S.S Peterson which stood in line with the rest of the fleet, now in a diamond formation around two Juan Carlos Amphibious Assault ships and a Mistral class Assault Ship. One carrying A full legion of mechanized infantry, another being used as a small Aircraft Carrier, while the Mistral carried around 200 pure infantry meant to be transported by the 16 Helicopters on the Mistral.

The general plan that was suggested by Csale in the first place was to encircle Crygaer and enact a blockade on the island nation, allowing for quick relief for the soldiers trapped inside of Revolutionary territory and blocking any outside force attempting to send aid into Crygaer. However, with recent events seemingly escalating the conflict, it became obvious such a maneuver would not be as easy as previously planned. Military intervention of Argantrop, Liberimery, Atrat and even McNernia had made the rather small conflict rather complicated in scale. Whether or not Vymar would allow such peacekeeping missions in Crygaer to continue was still being discussed by the Vymarian Senate, and how Vymar should react to McNernian intervention was a hot topic between Generals and Politicians alike.

McNernia had stepped into the conflict seemingly on an ideological justification, pledging all allegiance to the revolutionaries while Atrat seemingly entered due to sympathy for the Revolutionaries. The Head of Foreign Affairs, Ryan Chase, realized the gravity of the situation. After reading the open telegram announcing the intervention in his comfy office in Vymartoff, he quickly brought it to the attention of the current Vymarian President who resided just 3 doors down, John Williams. Williams, like any president realizing his nation may be headed towards an unwanted war, was not pleased.

"Surely they sent more than this! They expect us to stand down from what we rightfully own?"

"I'm afraid they think the contrary, they see us as a tyrannical regime... I must be honest, our... treatment of Crygaer does not help our case Mr.President".

"Nonetheless, we must stand at the ready. Imagine if any nation could just knock down the door and boss us around? I highly doubt they will wage a full war for a couple of islands. We must show backbone and demand they themselves back down. Give them a warning, Chase... If they do not back down, our hand will be forced"

"But Mr.President, are you sure our Navy could deal with such an enemy force?"

"I believe if we leave them bleeding, they won't try and push further into Crygaer... or it may anger them further, however I think the former is more likely"

Although it did end up taking a while before Chase could put together a telegram to put McNernia on notice, he eventually managed to construct a response to the original declaration.

We would like to warn the McNernian Military and Government regarding a recent open declaration of allegiance to our Revolutionary cousins across the sea. Vymarians do not like to solve issues with blood and iron as the primary choice. However, despite our distaste for needless bloodshed for both of our nations, we are not intimidated by this motion and nor do we welcome it. We at the proud Vymarian Capital : Vymartoff, demand all forces headed towards the island chain of Crygaer to WITHDRAW as soon as possible. Please keep the safety of both our peoples in mind before any brash decisions are made.

We take a very dim view of this behaviour and if you do decide to block our peacekeeping effort we will impose sanctions on you and maybe worse. You should also realise we could use the backing of the recently formed International Senate Defence Alliance which could cripple your defences with airstrikes. We strongly urge you not to block our peacekeeping effort following this telegram.

And now onto our second story this morning with the much delayed landing of Agarn
peacekeepers in Desaria. The announcement comes after the landing was suspended due to
fears that the Vymarian forces would stop the peacekeepers from doing their job. The
peacekeepers are heading to Desaria, a city under control of insurgent Crygearian forces which
is being slowly pushed towards by the Vymarian army. The prime minister today said he would
have parliament impose sanctions on Vymar if they didn't allow the peacekeeping forces
through. David Harley reports from Vymartoff.

"Scenes from rebel-controlled Desaria today as the peacekeepers arrrive on their Chinook
helicopters, they'll currently inside the base the rebels agreed to let them use waiting and
preparing to head to the front line where they'll set up a buffer zone between Vymarian and
Crygearian forces. However, it may not be as easy as it seems as Vymarian forces have been
making significant gains towards Desaria and critics say that it's extremely unlikely that the
Vymarian forces will allow them to create the buffer zone. However, PM Auklando today
stated that sanctions will be imposed if the peacekeepers are blocked and threatened to
take millitary action against Vymar if the peacekeepers were fired upon. All we can say now is

Agarntrop's news had been ignoring events in Crygear in the past days due to a volatile situation in the cape of good hope which was much more important. However, that does not mean things were not happening.

Yesterday, the Agarn peacekeepers left the base and boarded their tanks and headed for the frontline. The small but mechanized force arrived at the frontline in southern Xsasnia shortly afterwards and set up a small neutral zone around highway 51 where most of the attacks were happening. The peacekeepers couldn't move to other areas where Vymarian forces were advancing due to their small size and resistance from Vymarian forces. However, their chief commander says they'll be ready to cover other areas soon.

"Offer the services of our suppliers to the Vymarians, the handling of their little riot in Crygaer will be expedited by Cedorian weaponry"

The black-jacketed man nodded grimly, and turned to leave the room. The man who had spoken, face partially obscured by a hood, had been directing the efforts of the People's Intelligence Agency in this sector for weeks. The presence of a strong Vymar in Crygaer was an arrangement acceptable to the leadership of the Communist Party, and thus was an arrangement they would prefer to see continue.

Several weeks ago, he had dispatched agents to prepare for travel to Crygaer, to be prepared to engage in whatever operations required by the People's Republic. Infiltration, subversion, assassination, all of the above... They were the specialists for this kind of work, perfected over decades of meticulous PIA operations across the entire globe.

In fact, his first team would be transmitting a report shortly, all he had to do was wait...

Crygaer

Admiral Joseph Csale looked out the window of the bridge as Crygaer came into sight, and the city of Quasite came into view. The fleet now merely had to set up the blockade and land the relief troops in Quasite. Csale began to order the fleet to begin to split up, being divided into two, with both sides rushing opposite sides of the island chain while The Amphibious Assault Ships stayed under the protection of a few destroyers as they began to move towards their objectives. Helicopters could be seen taking off from the Mistral Assault Ship and heading towards Quasite while another Assault Ship steamed straight ahead toward the city.

The reconquest of Crygaer had begun.

Camp Fegelin, Crygaer

It had been two days since the revolutionary Crygaerians laid siege upon Camp Fegelin, cutting it off from supplies and reinforcements, and the soldiers were starting to feel the effects of the encirclement. Fire Support became less and less of a common commodity as RPGs would be used to knock them out, making them irreparable shooting metal shards into the air occasionally biting into an unfortunate soldier standing next to the HMG nest or the more often the one pulling the trigger. Colonel Davids was now covering his head as mortars slapped into the tent behind him, shooting a helmet up into the air which would eventually land a couple meters in front of him. As he lifted his smut covered head, he grabbed his rifle and rose to a crouch, slowly moving forward to one of the final HMG emplacements that were under functioning order. Behind dragged another .50 cal box which was tinted a dirty yellow from the sand kicked up into it. Once Davids reached the nest, he gunner began firing again. The shockwaves of the gun almost knocked Davids off his feet, not due to the strength of them, but rather the fatigue that had nested itself between his joints and tendons. He quickly slammed his knees to the ground as he began the reloading process, with the gunner grabbing David's gun and occasionally firing it off into what seemed like the endless darkness of the Woods that shielded the Crygaerians from the sunlight.

Just as he finished reloading the HMG emplacement, a burst of gun fire rang out from that same darkness and caught him in the neck as well as biting the sand bags around the emplacement. Davids hit the ground hard, his head by the trigger of the HMG which was now being used yet again to open fire into the dark woods. Red tracer fire erupted into the darkness as multiple yelps were heard from a distance. Then, in a matter of minutes, the silence that accompanied the typical cycle of the Crygaerian encirclement. Now, all that was needed to start the cycle again was another session of mortars slamming into the F.O.B.

Southern Xsasnia, Crygaer

Commander Ghepard exited his ZV-23 APC as calls of Crygaerian resistance slowly changed into calls about Foreign forces that were attempting a type of peacekeeping mission in an attempt to stop the fighting. The Agrantropians were well armed, and seemingly well trained. Vymar did not have a particularly good history with self proclaimed "peacekeepers". And many soldiers felt the same. Ghepard turned to his most trusted Sergeant, Sergeant Carlson. "You've been getting the calls about the peacekeepers right?" Carlson shrugged " Yeah..." he took a long inhale from his cigarette "It'll be a nice change from clearing every block building by building, I don't like going through closets and drawers all day". Ghepard responded with a smile "We have orders to try and provoke them, but we might wait for our Northern forces to get across the island... We'll have them encircled". "We should probably do the latter, have numbers on our side y'know?" Carlson took another inhale, "Yeah, probably" replied Ghepard, slowly walking back to his vehicle. "Its time for you to get back to searching drawers!".

Southern Xsasnia
The peacekeepers had now taken control of three major routes in and out of the Vymarian territory. Agarntrop's prime minister has assured that their will be a millitary intervention if the peacekeepers are attacked. The reigonal crisis in Gollitian had slowed down operations in Xsasnia but now Gollitian had been invaded by a coalition including Agarntrop headed by Gensoky0 things there were calming down. Peacekeepers were now in full swing in taking control of highways 56, 51 and 603 which all were three major routes on the frontline. They were now focused on taking the village of Gzapziet, which was still mostly under the control of rebels, but was surrounded by Vymarian forces. Their mission is to take control of the village and allow the safe passage of refugees which had allready numbered at around 45,000 and an extra 30,000 had become internally displaced inside Crygear. Agarntrop has said it is willing to accept 6,075 refugees per month with critics calling for both more and less on the left and right of the spectrum.

The troops take a long crawl through the rhoderenons and they eventually find find 15 dead bodies on the road towards Gzapziet of what appear to be villagers of Gzapziet. They also see a Vymarian convoy in the distance.

The Coasts of Southern Xsasnia

Lieutenant Riggs Zxahley adjusted his helmet as his oxygen mask rested upon his cheek bones and the HUD laid squarely in front of his vision. His IBF-17 was outfitted with its ground support mission load-out, fitting anti-tank cruise missiles and Mark 83 bombs into its weapon bays. According to the Vymarian soldiers on the ground a small peacekeeping force was halting Vymarian military movements that were getting ever closer to bringing the entire minor island of Xsasnia into Vymarian control. To say the peacekeepers angered the Vymarian senate was to put it lightly. The peacekeepers were looked upon as foreign invaders seeking to weaken Vymar. And whether the Vymarian view of the Agarntropians were correct no longer mattered. As soon as Riggs was given the green light and the Air Traffic Controller waved him in, the fate between Vymarian-Agarntropian relations were sealed.

Riggs felt his jet accelerate down the S.S.V Safsed as it rocketed off the Juan Carlos Class Assault Ship deck and into the air surrounding it. He and 7 other pilots were to deliver their payloads onto the peacekeepers who, as far as they were aware, were not knowledgeable of their location.
Behind Riggs, another plane was raised onto the deck, an IBF-22 Bulldog which was outfitted with an ECM oriented payload. While it was not certain whether the peacekeepers were outfitted with Anti-Air capabilities, the Bulldog's would stand as the last defense to jam missiles sent towards the Vymarian aircraft. Lieutenant Zasfed Dally Taxied his IBF-22 into position upon the deck of the Assault Ship and prepared his engines. His co-pilot Shaun Qweasak sat in front of him and readied the ECM systems upon the aircraft. "Zas, you ready for this? Its just like flight training" Shaun rested himself back in his seat as the Air Traffic Controller began to motion them to take off. "Well, probably not just like flight training...". Shaun laughed "Yeah, I never had a live missile shot at me in training" the IBF-22 shot off the deck's catapult pulling both pilots back into their seats, their bodies sinking into the padding stopping their flight suits to have direct contact with metal plates designed to protect their backside. The rubber on the wheels seemingly burnt the deck as they spun down the deck and eventually off it. With the press of a button, the landing gear was rolled back up into their individual compartments, and the plane immediately when into a climb to meet back up with Riggs who was to act as the flight lead for the mission. In a matter of seconds, the plane disappeared into the clouds above Crygaer and in that same amount of time, yet another plane shot off the deck, following the same pattern and hopefully, following the path to the victory the flight sought.

Northern Xsasnia


4 of the 6 Vymarian Companies in Northern Xsasnia rolled down the roads of Xsasnia, rushing towards the peacekeepers to their south expecting to encircle the Argantropians when combined with the Vymarian forces in the south. Private Jorge Samson was part of 1 of the 4 companies, simply named Company 56. Jorge sat in the back of his squad's assigned ZV-23 APC which would occasionally rock to one side because of a stray pothole or ditch that would expend Vymarian dollars after the conflict was over. To the soldiers, the cost of the conflict wasn't even a fraction of a thought in their minds. While the personal opinions about the land they were attempting to bring under subjugation, many would keep quiet and were more worried about the possible ambushes so common with the streets of Crygaer. The 2 Companies left behind would have to worry about the ambushes, but the Vymarian Senate would have to worry about the repairs of the Crygaerian state and how to avoid future revolution. The Crygaerian Revolutionaries had yet found a solid leader, and while the Revolutionaries all had a common goal, one central leader had yet to arise. Instead, the militias worked in their own neighborhoods working for the same goal. Commandant Povreil Fedala, a notorious Crygaerian that sought the position had managed to cause the most trouble for Vymarians on the main island and had began to claim responsibility for the attack on Camp Fegelin, which he stated, would fall within a matter of days.

While it was not clear whether or not he was stating the truth, it was clear he would be the next target to get rid of once Xsasnia came under control. However, with fresh troops landing on the Main Island and the city of Quasite, that reality may have been closer then the Vymarian forces realized.

Agarntrop was infuriated by this move and saw it as justification to attack. 57 cruise missiles have been launched at a Vymarian naval base on the coast near the Crygearian archipelago.

This is the address Agarntrop's prime minister:
"Today, Vymar launched an unprecedented attack on neutral Agarn peacekeeping forces in southern Xsasnia as retaliation for economic sanctions imposed by Agarntrop on Vymar due to their barbaric attacks on the civilian Crygearian population. As a result, the Agarn cabinet has personally ordered missile strikes on the Vymarian naval base which directed the attack against our servicemen. If Vymar continues this behaviour, Agarntrop and its ISDA allies will retaliate to a much higher extent. As for the peacekeepers, they are to return home via helicopter as they are now encircled by Vymarian troops. Tanks that were not destroyed by Vymarian missiles will be left to the Crygearian rebels. God bless Agarntrop and good night."
