It is with regret and great solemnity of purpose that I must begin this communiqué. Trabena's recent decision to initiate hostilities against the Australian Democratic Union is an entirely unnecessary blow to socialist solidarity, and will serve only to strengthen the status quo of capitalist oppression. Nevertheless, Alexiandra cannot sit idly by as its treaty ally is subjected to the depredations of war. Socialism must be defended, even against itself - although one might question Trabena's socialist credentials, given its willingness to slaughter workingmen and women over a philosophical dispute. Pledge 3 of the Anti-Fascism and Imperialism Pact's (AFIP) consitution mandates that all signatories must defend one another from external aggression, and the Republic has no intention of shirking this responsibility. As such, I am bound to inform you that - as of 7 June 2018 - the National Republic of Alexiandra considers itself at war with the Republic of Trabena.

Trabena is a young nation, incapable of surmounting the powers now arrayed against it. Thus, I must advise submission - only surrender and demobilisation can save Jacob Henry and his government from bearing the brunt of Alexiandra's military might. I urge Chairman Henry himself to recognise his error and rectify it, stepping back into the socialist fold as an esteemed member of our sacred brotherhood. The Trabenan people, meanwhile, have little to fear from their Alexiandran adversaries; workingmen and women are united more closely by class than by nationality, and their struggle is common to all Alexiandrans.

Let us hope that war, if it is unavoidable, can be made swift and decisive. The people of Alexiandra beg Trabena to recognise its transgression before this Rubicon is crossed.
