Tech Level and Description: Byzanthia is a MT nation currently existing in the year 2018 CE. It's current technological level is similar, if not identical, to that of Greece in real life.
Military Description: The Byzanthian Armed Forces (BAF) is comprised of 10,000 active personnel and 70,000 reserves. As one of the smaller militaries in the world, Byzanthia tends to remain in the "background" of military events. However, it is a member of the European Union and NATO, and attempts to play an active role in global affairs.

Anything else you wish to add? (optional): For the duration of this invasion, Byzanthia intends to serve as a "moral compass" for the world and will do its best to negotiate peace with the Martians. Byzanthia abhors bloodshed and believes that while undertaking military action is a possibility, peace and mutual understanding between both sides is necessary, and a much better option than all-out war, for this conflict to end.

*The Presidency of Byzanthia is a ceremonial position; most of the power is concentrated in the nation's head of government, which is Prime Minister Filippos Michelakis.

I'm sticking with my original plan of try and bring down a tripod or other Martian forces, and hope to hold out long enough to reverse engineer their technology. That and we have a sizeable army, nuclear arsenal and hordes of fanatical militia,

Location: Yugoslavia (South eastern Europe) (I'm sure Eclius won't mind losing a bit of their territory. I mean, Yugoslavia isn't that big, am I right? Right?)

Tech Level and Description: PMT. Large plasma weapons (that are mounted on tanks and other "heavy" vehicles) that fire kinetic shots which are coated in plasma. Soldiers use armour similar to the stormtrooper armour the Russian is working on IRL at the moment. Genetic engineering is used to make certain groups of soldiers more powerful. Interdimensional travel and Evangelion like mechs are in early experimental phases.
Military Description: PMT. Most soldiers (around 60%) are bog standard modern western stuff. 25% Is more advanced stuff (with the suits coming in to play) 10% Are mildly genetically augmented troops and the last 5% are not only heavily augmented but also have cybernetic replacements for certain limbs and organs. Hybridization technology is being worked on. Jack has come up with (seemingly) outlandish idea of making human pokemon hybrids, which is (possibly) impossible due to obvious reasons. Then again, that dimensional tech might cough up...something?
