Peace offer

Postby Azadistan-land of the free » Fri May 18, 2018 10:53 am

La Cosa Fedora shall cease to be invaded if they agree to sign a written peace treaty stating they will either disband their airforce and navy as well as pardoning Azadistan backed rebels or that each cartel member will swear allegiance to the Sultan.

We are amused by the increasingly delusional statements coming from the Azadistani government. It's like watching Downfall unfold in slow motion.

As our forces finish mopping up the remaining few invader holdouts in LCF territory, we are studying the geography of Azadistan for the best area to launch a large scale invasion, as well as what we should do with all the looted jet fuel.
Ask us anything!

Join MENINFORM today! Or that's not your style, issue a formal condemnation!

Our state, the League of the Six Free Peoples, is actually controlled by a cartel of neckbeards known as La Cosa Fedora. Members of the cartel are known as Honorable Gentlesirs. Citizens who are not members are known as normies.

Our armed forces are armies of the radicalized romanceless.

Do you fear us yet? If not, have some anti-neckbeard propaganda!

[OOC: For pity's sakes, please stop posting six posts in a row. Put them all in one post next time. IC:]

"How incompetent exactly do you have to be to start a war at a science exchange?" asked the Foreign Secretary. His Serene Maharaja Richard Henry Terefort Kazpia, if you haven't meant him before; well known for wearing trademark turquoise tunics, although he was known to his enemies as the Pea-Cock.

"Not scientists," replied Alice, the Minister for Intelligence and Statistics. She was wearing black, because it is fun pretending to be a spy when you run a spy organization. Ironically it meant she stood out from a mile in the green conservatory in the Spring Palace.

"So, you say that we should join this war now. They're anti-feminist, which means they're probably pro-SACTO racists and bigots, so seven out of ten for intentions; but now you say there's actually a decent casus belli."

"Yup. Since Azadickistan or whatever they are are our colleagues, we've been monitoring the conflict with stealth drones from the nearest fleet, and we now have evidence that La Crosa Fedora was shooting at Red Crescent Vehicles."

The Foreign Secretary raised his eyebrows with a smile. "Tut tut," he said. "Can't have that. It goes against every rule of international norms. Besides which it's absolutely repulsive and should be squashed. Release it."

"Already done," smiled Alice.

"Then this should go through the cabinet easily.... I do not say the ... who are they?" - he checked the briefing - "La Cosa Fedoras - let's call them the "hats" - cannot come, I only say they cannot come by sea. It'd take them weeks, by which time they will have realized they are outnumbered."

"Good thing we've had time though to gather a fleet; both sides are behaving very recklessly, sending things all over the place. We'll have to declare a close blockade and ring the seas with submarine aircraft. Do you think a layered blockade of three thousand nautical miles will do the trick?"

"Yup. So, see you in cabinet..."

[OOC: Now, that's all I can write for the moment. Can we have a time-out to get things sorted? What sizes are your opposing forces? Would you like me to make a map for you two?]

OOC: I'm in agreement with the guy above. If you're gonna post something, keep it all in one post, not several.

SIC: "Commander in Chief, the fighting in this area is chaotic, and progressing rapidly. Social workers are caught up in the fray. There is sure to be a lot of loot left behind for us to plunder, and prisoners for us to take." says a lanky adviser, his bald head practically blinding the surrounding cabinet. "If we deploy our forces there, we will be able to make a fine profit.", he continues. A rotund general nods in agreement, and says "We already have a converted medical ship filled with personnel ready to deploy. We can go in, loot both sides, and then get out.". Silently, the Commander in Chief gives the order to go ahead with the operation. A barracks ship, formerly a hospital ship and still adorned with red crosses, moves out. It is loaded with 2,014 infantrymen, and a command helicopter.

[OOC: A pleasure. But on no account whatever send your entire navy to the Commonwealth. Keep that blockade in place and protect your own coast.

I'm assuming your two nations are in proximity but separated by water? But nonetheless, the D-Day landings, at a distance of only about a hundred kilometers, which had been planned for over a year by two of the foremost military powers of the century, only involved 150,000 troops. A typical fleet can land a couple of thousand people. So I'm finding it very hard to believe Azadistan would have 2 million people in an occupying force.

Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh - unless you're saying Azadistan have 2 million troops in total? That's a reasonable number and a decent sized army, especially for a nation your size.]

The "hospital ship" slowly approaches the blockade. The soldiers within it turn off the lights, and conceal themselves. Soon, the ship stops just short of the blockade.

"This is Freikorps Hospital Ship "Santa Maria", we are on a relief mission in this area. Blocking us is an act of aggression and against international law. We demand that your ships move aside at once. Over."
