Hezbollah linked Ashura Companies after raiding a government armory

With Syrian rebels breaching the border, the recent bombings in the city of Suwadiya by Salafist groups based in Syria, and the crumbling government the time was ripe for the Shias in the region to mobilize under the guidance of the Ashura Companies, government forces occupied the city after a massive rally held by various Shia leaders in the city and the people of Suwadiya clashed with the army and police throwing rocks and other objects while the government just opened fire to disperse them. The Ashura Companies' leadership was secretive and was underground for years quietly amassing weapons and plotting to stage a revolution, and that time has come.

Men loyal to the Ashura Companies volunteered to carryout the group's first armed confrontation they were given average quality Kalashnikovs brought in from Syria and carried with them 3 RPGs out of the 20 total the group had. They drove in normal cars wearing civilian clothing some covering their faces and got out and began shooting at the guards and government forces on the premises, they outnumbered the government's forces and took the building and all its weapons and items such as Kevlar vests and helmets. Supporters of the group filmed the attack on their phones and the crude quality video was disseminated across various video sharing websites, while Ashura Companies media outlet created a compilation of the footage with a Shia chant in the background and audio clips of Hassan Nasrallah the leader of the original Hezbollah from Lebanon that the group admired.

After the raid on the armory several technicals used by pro-government paramilitaries, the police, and army were captured and used to attack government checkpoints around the city, several indivudals who would have never otherwise taken part in the fighting took weapons from the armory that were gladly distributed to anyone who simply walked up and asked for one, the Ashura companies grew rapidly in one day seizing arms and vehicles.

After raiding government checkpoints, Ashura companies moved into the city attacking police stations and intercity checkpoints, by the end of the day the city was under Ashura Companies control.

"We are the Revolutionary Army!" an army officer wearing his uniform proudly declared before a video camera with dozens of soldiers behind him, he continued, "We are witnesses of the reality behind the Khairallah regime, he is a Zionist, he is an American agent, he is a slave of the imperialists and a hypocritical liar. We are Sunni Muslims Arabs and we call out to our Christian, Shia, and Kurdish brothers to band together and resist and fight. General Waseem! We support you we are your army, the true fighters for liberation, the true revolutionaries, Khairallah! Your days are numbered! We pledge allegiance to the National Coalition!"

Army positions set up in Kurk Murzban supported by local SSNP supporters were able to takeover the city with no resistance from loyalists that simply withdrew to an army base elsewhere in the province.

In Iskanderun some defectors tried a similar takeover with Qaddafist supporters, however government forces there were more loyal and outnumbered the opposition arresting many soldiers who defected and some Qaddafist rebels, however most of the rebels were able to flee.

After fighting for almost 2 days HTS and the other Syrian rebels finally held the border station after tedious hours of close quarter combat, the Syrian fighters had better equipment and larger numbers, soon after HTS and the FSA were able to coordinate with Ansar al-Haqq to begin seizing villages along the border, the first village was attacked by the Syrian fighters storming the Western side of the village, however KDF forces were more prepared anticipating this would be the next location to be targeted, fighters from HTS wore GoPro cameras to film them in combat for videos to promote the group, they also used drones for the same reasons and to reconnaissance the area to help the fighters plan out their attack better.

As the Syrian Rebels and Ansar al-Haqq began their offensive against KDF in the border regions, KDF held areas not yet attacked began preparing defenses digging trenches, making dirt mounds, and setting up traps like IEDs and positions where heavy and light machine guns could be mounted, they also increased checkpoints on major roads that they held and so on and were desperate, and awaiting international support for their cause.

The KDF knew a long hard fight was coming, but they knew they had to be patient and await the aid to come in for their revolution, they also reached out to the National Coalition in hopes of forming a loose alliance based on a common enemy and somewhat similar beliefs, Rajo Xassan the leader of KDF was hoping to meet Farid Waseem in Algeria soon, but General Waseem has not replied to Xassan's requests but is likely to soon.

HTS released a video on social media, the video was labeled "The conquest of the Levant" and showed its fighters attacking the border station and taking 3 Kurdish villages and short clips of the group's religious leaders talking about the importance of Jihad.

The combined forces of the Levant Liberation Committee (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham/HTS), The Free Syrian Army, The Free Men of the Levant (Ahrar al-Sham), and Army of Islam (Jaysh al-Islam/JAI). Though we have differences and have conflicted at times we put our differences aside and we have collectively realized the strength in unity, as such we have successfully launched the campaign against the Khataiy Democratic Forces for their crimes against the people of Syria, its revolutionaries, and Islam. The brave soldiers of the Syrian Revolution and the Mujahideen brothers successfully took a significant border crossing that the criminal KDF attempted to close indefinitely to starve the Syrian people, and our combined forces have liberated 5 villages so that we may spend Ramadan with our brothers in Khataiy sharing in conquest and glory as well.

Our combined forces will remain in Khataiy until it is certain that our people in Syria are free from any threats that may exist in Khataiy whether it is from The Khataiy Democratic Forces, The Party of Satan, or anyone else and we will fight for justice and to avenge those who have been oppressed for as long as needed.

I can only tell you that the Ashura Companies has taken full control of the city of Suwadiya and then we have the areas of Kurk Murzban and Parts of Iskanderun which seem to be under the control of some military defectors pledging to support a General Waseem and something called National Coalition, but I can't seem to find much information on this group all I can find is that it is composed of the Revolutionary Army, Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Ghaddafists, Pro-Syria Baathists. I have also found that General Waseem is a political rival of President Khairallah. Also the National Coalition is willin to work with the KDF which is a group that formed as a response to the government carrying out a mass eviction of Kurds from villages around Khataiy. Though I think that the National Coalition would turn on them if the situation called for it. There is an area where we could set up a medical FOB which so far is untouched by any of the forces but it won't be for long so if we're going to enact article 4 then we should deploy to that area with 165 personel which breaks down to 100 medical personel and 65 guards to protect them as well as carry out search and rescue or medical evac missions.

After JACT CEO Randa Abu al-Fadl asked for objections and the board didn't have any article 4 was enacted and 165 JACT personnel was deployed into the area that was clear of any fighting forces. Khataiy being not far from Jurestist was short seven day trip for the 65 JACT Guards who went in first and set up the JACT Medical FOB in an abandoned villiage which looked as if it had been abandon a long time ago but after checking each of the buildings to make sure that they were structally intact and wouldn't collape on JACT medical personnel. Who arrived seven days later and set up in each building a purpose as there was six buildings. The JACT Medical personnel had set up the largest building as a barracks for both JACT guards and medical personnel they turned the smaller building next to it into a personal house and office for Production Control Coordinator Janice Velazquez who was set to arrive in a month after getting clearence by the Jurestist State Department. The JACT guards set up a checkpoint at the only entrance to the villiage as it was once a gated villiage. The JACT Guards also found a small hut that was close to the entrance and turned it into a command post for the Guards that went out of the Medicel FOB. After being set up for four days JACT personnel started letting ingured civilians into the Medical FOB and treated them some of the civilians hadn't been seen by a doctor in years so the civilians thanked them and so far everything was going smoothly with no incidents of violence.

What we definitely know is that the government of Khataiy has decided to implement a sort of land reform by stealing the land from a range of unpopular minorities, primarily Kurds and Christians. Surprisingly, unexpectedly, this has led to a series of acts of violence. Completely unusually, terror groups from all around the region have decided to become involved, including the usual suspects like Hezbollah and Da'esh. I do not need to explain the implications for both human welfare and the Free Kingdom's national security to you."

One of the officers, a long-haired, thin-faced man, leaned forward. "What are the measures that are being taken?"

"I wanted to talk about that, specifically. The Free Kingdom Armed Forces do not have a blueprint for kinetic action quite yet. I'd like us to work that out. Liteutenant-Colonel Sombons, I'd like you to speak with the Air Force and Space Forces. What we need is to have a satellite constellation tasked to the area, to collect regular photography. Could this be done?" – Morrison said, picking up his mug – full of black, strong coffee.

As the violence in the area began to grow stronger, so did the Allanean effort to learn more about the events that transpired. Allanean satellites, rerouted from other areas of concern, passed through the skies. Analysts, working at home, watched hundreds of propaganda videos published by ISIS and Hezbollah, as well as other groups, trying to learn as much as they could about the groups and their leadership.

In the refugee camps in Turkey, the refugees would, to their surprise, discover polite, kind, soldiers that spoke Arabic. The dialects of Arabic spoken might be sometimes different from their own – some spoke Diayriastani Arabic, or some African dialect of the language, but it was clear that the Allaneans were making an effort to be understood and understand others. Every refugee was asked several brief, polite questions and given a form to fill out. In some – rare – cases, those who seemed to know more than others would be taken aside and asked a few more questions, over a meal of schwarma and some coffee. Some – a very rare few – might be even detained, if suspicion was aroused they might be terrorist agents.

So far, however, the Allaneans have taken no actual hostile action. They were still learning the lay of the land, listening, waiting.

The President then rumbles through his cupboard, taking out a rather big looking, old phone. He then enters a Code along with his Orders: "General Adelhard, I want to strike FSA and HTS positions with our ballistic Missiles. I am going to send you more documents. Quick, quick, start working on it"

The President then cuts the connection, saying to his Advisors: "Right, now we'll wait and see what happens"

Afreenan Strategic Missile Forces then began preparations for a Kh-202 Thermobaric strike on selected HTS and FSA Frontline positions.

As of May 8, 2018, the combined forces of the HTS, The Free Syrian Army, Ahrar al-Sham, and JAI forces have started a campaign against the Khataiy Democratic Forces. As a nation, we condemn this action, but we fully support the KDF. So, therefore, Huntpublic, will provide resources to provide the defending forces of the KDF. The resources include food, ammunition, and weapons. So, Huntpublic will send one Lockheed AC 130 (Angel of Death) escorted by two fighter planes(F-15 Eagles) over the Syrian Territory. Currently, Huntpublic will avoid combat and any skirmishes with the combined forces.

"It's very serious sir. The potential for radicalization is very high. We have to chose between the KDF and the Free Syrian Army. It is very confused fighting. Our reports indicate the KDF lost 5 villages. This could take many years to resolve."
"Are Islamists involved?"
"Afraid so. The FSA is working with some of these Islamists. And of course, ISIS could resurge in this mess."
"What is the risk to Orionite aid workers?"
"We fear they will not be allowed to leave, and we even fear that they will be killed."
"What about the Kurds?"
"We fear this will beget a genocide that we will be powerless to stop. Airstrikes can only do so much. We must have boots on the ground to train the KDF and potentially help them fight. I want to send 135 men, and 75 missiles. I just need you to sign here. I also want to appoint an ambassador to the KDF. This will mean recalling the ambassador to Khataiy."

Near the border, Khataiy's Kurdish region

HTS BMP advancing towards KDF defenses

As the fighting between KDF and the combined forces of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, various Free Syrian Army militias, and Ansar al-Haqq, the border region of Khataiy became a warzone with rockets and artillery firing through the night and gun shots constantly being fired, not much progress was being made regarding the offensive by the Syrian rebel groups nor was KDF making much progress in pushing them back. In the villages most of which have been abandoned due to recent events KDF and the Rebels clashed fiercely for hours from sunrise and sunset to the middle of the night with arbitrary explosions from things like SPG-9s and other explosives being fired at one another.

The fighters yelled "Allahu Akbar" as they fired their weapons, though many of the rebels were Syrians there were also foreign fighters mainly from the former Soviet Union who were more professional and well armed, many were of Chechen, Uzbek, and Tartar origins, operating in special units in HTS as well as their own independent groups. Fighters from China were also present and worked with Uzbek and Tartar fighters because of their linguistic similarities, many such as the Uzbek, Chechen, and Chinese fighters had experience from fighting in places like Afghanistan, Chechnya, and as well as in China's Xinjiang province. While the FSA consisted of nearly all Syrian Arab fighters with some groups having Syrian Turkmens in their ranks, many of the FSA's fighters had become hardened and more experienced with all the years of fighting the Syrian government and their allied forces and having to adapt to challenges like the Russian airstrikes, the various militias as well as clashes with ISIS and at times even their own ally HTS.

The fighters from the Jaysh al-Islam (JAI) group had been besieged in the Damascus region for years and most were used to fighting defensively and employing urban warfare and guerilla tactics, fighting in this setting was relativity new to their fighters but normal to the majority of the other groups.

While the fighters from Syria proved to be a challenge for KDF, KDF had some experienced fighters as well some who were former Peshmerga and YPG, and while KDF denied having links to Rojava or the PKK it in fact had a lot of links with many PKK fighters from Syria and Turkey secretly entering Khataiy over recent weeks to help aid their rebellion, these fighters also helped smuggle weapons and train new recruits.

As clashes went on, Afreena's aircraft entered Khataiy's airspace prompting the Government to fire SAMs at their planes and alarms went off in the capital advising people to seek shelter, though the capital was not the location of any clashes or armed confrontations and was still safe. Multiple explosions occurred from Afreena's Thermobaric strikes creating large blast waves in the Kurdish region where HTS and FSA clashed with KDF. Several fighters from the FSA and HTS were killed instantly the approximate numbers have been counted as between 58 to 75 killed with 5 technicals destroyed and 1 BMP destroyed with numerous buildings in the contested villages being reduced to ruble.

The airstrikes on our country are not going to be tolerated on our soil and will be met with return of fire, we demand the establishment of a No fly zone for our country, and from this point forward aside from anti-air defenses on the ground we will begin intercepting and deploying our own air forces to combat incursions into our territory.

With the city fully under Ashura Companies control, its leader and founder made his first public appearance but continued to use his Kunya (nom de guerre), he was protected by several guards mostly from his clan and family wearing black, he waived at his supporters and walked into a primary school where a podium was set up for him to speak along with several cameras and a room full of supporters, before entering the school he pulled out his handgun and fired 3 shots in then air and smiled the proceeded, he walked up to the podium and began to speak,

"Peace be upon you!" he paused as the crowd cheered then continued "We've all seen Ansarullah in Yemen! We have all seen Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, and we have seen the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in Iran have we not? Now we are going to join the caravan of glory, the caravan that brings with them the Parties and Supporters of God and his Islamic resistance, and we await Imam Mehdi! Our victory in removing the Yazid of today from this city is a sign that Mehdi was with us, with the rise of Zionist-Khawarij dogs like Daesh, Al-Qaeda, and Khairallah it is a sign that the battle between the righteous and evil is among us. We have some of Khairallah's soldiers but we wont kill them because we are better than that, but I do say, we are not Takfiris and we reject their Satanic ideology, but it is valid to say that the Khawarij are not Muslims they are infidels the Wahhabis are worse than Jews and you should kill them without mercy like Khaybar! The Wahhabis are the dogs of hellfire, if you see a Daesh member kill him, you see a supporter of Saddam Hussein or Khairallah kill him, if you see an al-Qaeda or Free Syrian Army fighter or supporter kill him, but spare their women. I also say we accept the National Coalition we will fight alongside our Sunni and Christian brothers against tyranny, and together God willing we will free Khataiy, the National Coalition is the resistance on the ground against the Zionists and the Jew world order, I say to our Sunni brothers we have nothing against you we are all Muslims, all praise is due to Allah but be righteous like our Prophet and join the National Coalition and the Revolutionary armies or even our ranks, we all admire the sacrifices of Hussein Karbala and teachings of Muhammad, those Wahhabis may call themselves Mujahideen when in reality we are fighting the real Jihad here."

"President, President!" is yelled outside of the Afreenan Presidents Office. A door opens rapidly and about a dozen Advisors storm into the Presidents Office.
The President turns to his Advisors, leaning back and preparing himself for the news.

"President.. we have successfully executed the Airstrikes..." says one Advisor, but then another one says "..yes, but we came under heavy SAM Fire from Government Forces.. and we lost at least 1 Plane"

The President takes another sip of his Branded Whiskey, standing up from his Chair, saying to one of the Advisors; "Well, did we do any damage to the Terrorists?"

"Affirmative, our Thermobaric Airstrikes killed at least 75 Terrorists aswell as 5 Technicals and 1 APC.. but we are advising you to NOT continue these Airstrikes, otherwise we will have to fear strikes against our own forces from the Government"

The President sits back down into his Chair. Silently, he is thinking about his Next Move.

"Uh, well how about we give the Kurds some Missiles? And why don't we teach them how to build their own Missiles? Yeah, I think we should do that. We are going to smuggle missiles to the Kurds, 100 per year. Also send 155 Troops for Guarding of these Missile Facilities and Technical Advising. Go, move it we don't have all day"

The Advisors are then leaving the Presidents Office, transmitting his Order's to the correct authoritys.

If the Government continues to Incercept Afreenan Aircrafts and Missiles, Afreena is forced to perform strikes against the Government itself.

At the JACT Medical FOB there was an influx of civilians who have been displaced from the fighting happening all of Khataiy. Many of the JACT Guards had heard about ingured civilians that were trapped in some of the areas where the fighting was taking place, but they couldn't do anything until Production Control Coordinator Janice Velazquez was in country and sent them out to pick them up and bring them back to the Medical FOB. They didn't allow many civilians into the FOB so outside the front gate was a "tent-city" they had set up. The JACT Guard Commander Shukri Qamar had told seven of his Guards to patrol the tent-city and keep the peace as well as to make sure that they were safe.

PCC Janice Velazquez nodded she looked scared because this was her first time in an active warzone, which JACT Commander Shukri Qamar noticed and told her, "Don't worry as long as we're here on a medical mission this outpost can't be attacked." it didn't help Janice feel at ease at all as she knew that some nations didn't care and saw that if you were helping their enemy then you were also the enemy as well.

The JACT medical evac convoy arrived near the outskirts of Suwadiya, Khataiy four of the JACT Guards and the five EMTs went out in search of civilians in need of medical attention or who wanted to get out of the area where the fighting was taking place. During the JACT sweeps they noticed some light fighting going on but didn't get involved and just continued on with their sweep. Then they ran into a critically injured fighter claiming to represent the Ashura Companies to which they allowed the EMTs to treat and field dress his wounds and then carried him back to the ambulance where one of the EMTs stayed to treat him. While the rest of them when back out to search for more and found an HTS fighter who was also badly injured so the EMTs field dressed him and two of them carried him back to the ambulance while the other two EMTs and the JACT Guards searched for more civilians. They found a group of civilians of varying ages with varying injuries so they treated them there so that they could walk back to the JACT Convoy and then get back to the JACT Medical FOB to have all of the wounded treated by doctors there. They let the Doctors at the Medical FOB know that they were bringing in two rival fighters from different factions, so the doctors came up with a solution and that was to make the last three buildings one for minor injuries, one for major injuries, and the other for critical injuries while also setting up tents for quick treatment of civilians and soldiers alike.

It would take the convoy sometime to get back to the Medical FOB so the JACT Guards were on edge as they knew that they could be attacked by other groups looking to interrogate the two fighters they had in the ambulance who of which were still trying to fight each other in transit.

After sending the TG to the Afreenan Foreign Ministry she sent one to PCC Janice Velazquez telling her to expect some kind of visit or message from Afreenan Foreign Ministry about a person or persons that have been picked up by the medical convoy, to which upon receiving the information PCC Janice Velazquez ordered some JACT Guards there to set up a prison wing in each or the medical building they designated to which they did as each of the buildings had two floors. PCC Janice Velazquez also requested 30 more JACT Guards to help secure the Medical FOB and the new prison wings that had, which FEC Lucy Hayward sent up the chain of command to be approved.

As they were setting up the prison wings the convoy radioed in saying that they were 40 mins out and that they had two fighters, one from the Ashura Companies and one from HTS and that both were in critical condition. The convoy leader also stated that they had civilians most with minor injuries and ten with major injuries. After the radio report ended all of the doctors prepared for the convoy's arrival.

Mi Mil 24 firing into Suwadiya

As Ashura Companies began to expand and hold the city the government was finally able to take more action, the President ordered several attack helicopters to surgically target and destroy the city's infastructure including gas stations, grocery stores, power stations and sub stations, ISP facilities, cell towers, and other important sights. As the helicopters flew over the town Ashura Companies fired LMGs into the air attempting to inflict as much damage as possible however it was done in vain, explosions erupted across the city the screams of civilians filled the city, drivers began driving eradically to avoid the explosions crashing into eachother and buildings.

A total of 75 civilians were killed in the attack and 158 were injured, 13 Ashura companies fighters were killed while 20 were injured and 1 technical destroyed. Rubble littered the streets soon after with smoke rising and dust filling the atmosphere, people were covered in blood and dust, as multiple gas stations exploded black smoke filled the air with the toxic smell of burning fuel choking people running.

Miles away from the city on the highway the government setup a checkpoint days prior, the check point was now closed and being used as a command post for government forces as plans were being created to take back Suwadiya, the startegy was to test Ashura Companies with attrition and making the population unhappy for them being unable to provide and defend the city.

With the situation becomming rapidly unstable in Khataiy the President and several other highranking officals including the entire Revolutionary Command Council decided to flee the country for Qatar a long ally of the Khataiy. The RCC members left the country at seperate times with the President leaving first, he left early before the sun was up, he woke up his wife who met in France in the 90s, she was Moroccan "Habibi it's time to leave" he sweetly told her, then he walked to the rooms of his children "Yala, we have to go now, you can sleep on the plane" he quickly put on a polo shirt and dress pants, while his wife put on a classy dress and hijab, while his kids wore nice trendy clothing, servants packed their clothes and they quickly exited getting inside an armored SUV in a convoy with 4 pickup trucks with soldiers in the back in front of the SUV and several armored vehciles behind including an ambulance.

The convoy drove on the tarmac and all other flights were put on hold, the President and his family got on the plane and it took off while on the plane he called the Prime Minister to discuss meeting plans for later along with other RCC members, they decided after meeting at the embassy to meet at a highend restaurant in Doha to discuss important matters.

Several men were standing in their newly acquired uniforms trying to look as professional but also as intimidating as possible while a table with KDF's flag which was a near clone of the flag of their inspiration the Syrian Democratic Forces was draped over a table, a commander from the group had his speech typed on sheets of paper and told the cameraman to start then he spoke,

After hearing about what had happened in Suwadiya, PCC Janice Velazquez was talking with JACT Guard Commander Shukri Qamar about sending a convoy to Suwadiya in order to get to the civilians and render aid to them. As the two of them were talking the convoy from earlier had returned and the doctors sprang into action and rushed the two fighters into the critical care building while other doctors treated the civilians.

The doctors treated the two fighters but one had sustained injuries too great to be fixed and died as a result of them. The other was treated and transferred upstairs where he was placed under heavy guard until something was decided on what to do with him JACT Guard Commander Shukri Qamar wanted to have him transferred to Jurestist and interrogated by the JDF for information, but PCC Janice Velazquez said that he would stay at the Medical FOB as she wanted to talk to him and get information from him.

JACT CEO Randa Abu al-Fadl had heard about Afreenan's message to JACT and the Jurestist Federal government which CEO Randa Abu al-Fadl had some pull with the Collective and Secretary of Defense Greg Williamson who he had called and informed about the message from Afreenan. So Secretary of Defense Greg Williamson had written a writ of war against Afreenan, but Secretary Williamson had wanted to hold off on pitching it to the Collective until he knew more in the Writ of War there was a provision to help the Khataiy Government and it's allies but he didn't want to do anything without having more information on the situation.
