Would it be ok to reserve the Renault FT-17 and Char-1 as early-war tanks for my empire? Especially the Renault FT-17 I figure the OE could have several modified versions of it for all the Mountain, forest and urban combat I'll be in. I'll probably either import or build my own tanks purposed with more emphasis on speed for combat on the plains (if there are any) later in the war.

As far as I'm aware, no one is using those vehicles - so unless someone is, I don't see an issue.

A45

I've been using a tank design based off of the centurion for after the war for awhile...

Nonetheless if we're doing all this dibs stuff then I'll list out some likely Svalbardian stuff for the war.
Tanks:
-Early used tanks
Char D2
Char B1
Char 2C
Renault line of tanks
-Tanks made during the war
Type 1 Chi-He
Type 97 Chi-Ha
Type 3 Chi-Nu
-Tanks made close to the end of the war
Carro_Armato_P_40
T44
AMX-13

Moving into small arms:
Polar Svalbard would likely import a bit from Miklania and Noronica, especially since it would be involved in heavy fighting in Almorea but Polar Svalbard would have an industry of its own.
Modèle 1935 pistol
Modèle 1892 revolver
MAS-36 rifle
ZB vz. 26
ZB vz. 30
ZH-29
ZB-53
Suomi KP/-31
CETME rifle (Late war probably post war)

Aircraft:
Amiot 354
Bloch MB.150 series of fighters (Early war)
Bloch MB.170 series of bombers (Early war)
Loire-Nieuport LN.401 (Early war dive bomber)
Avia B-135 (Successor to Bloch series of fighters)
VL Myrsky (Mid war single engine fighter)
Fokker G.I (First Svalbardian dual engine fighter)
Kawasaki Ki-102 (Successor to the Fokker G.I
Saab 17
VL Pyörremyrsky (Late war single engine fighter)
Lavochkin La-11 (End of war or early post war fighter)
Lavochkin La-152 (Prototype jet fighter)
Saab 21R (First Svalbardian Jet fighter)

Do we have any way to figure out who gets priority when people have made different versions of the same aircraft?
Cause right now 3 people have the P-47, 2 have the mosquito, 2 had the SBD (I had it but I just took it off cause I can just find another, and the same with the F4U) and with most of the major single engine fighters in the war taken up were probably gonna have more issues, in addition to 4 people having the centurion down, with several people using it well into the future after the war.
I have no issue giving up my claim to the P-47 for the Spitfire but after that I think every notable fighter used on the Western Front is gone, I'm not sure what Russian designs are left...

I mean I would hope that the people who announced it 6 months ago, made a factbook, and did their own custom lineart for it get priority. But there's not that much overlap here anyway, and Mik, alt and I typically tell each other what we're up to which keeps us from stepping on each others toes for the most part.

I would say, in general, if you are not going to be making art and factbooks for something, you should probably defer to someone that is. For many smaller nations as well, it might make sense to license production of things they like from a larger regional supplier.

The turret from the Chaffee isn't too distinctive, I'd most likely end up altering it anyway, the tank is suppoesd to be a heavier medium tank based on the Chaffee design. It'll be my Sherman.

I'll fight you for the A-26.

I'd be more than happy to license the weapons.

P-36 and P-40 were related, but not enough to be a problem, methinks.

I agree with the turret, and I'm fine with the ruling on the P36/P40 but this factbook has actually been around for half a year: https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1046349

And yeah definitely license the small arms

Drat. I'll scheme up something else along those lines.

The war should be ending sometime around 1950, give or take a couple years.

That has been one of the times quoted, and it shall remain there for now. The actual war is still open for discussion, so that date may be pulled forwards or backwards. Most likely backwards.

Interesting. Well, I have a rough schematic of Svalbardian military equipement during the war up above. Mostly French, Czech, Swedish and Finnish arms.
