Letheny sent 100 fighter jets and 35 ground-strike planes to detach and begin fighting in the Guangdong Province. Lethen fighters engaged all hostile fighters in the area and would occasionally try to strike AA weaponry in the region. The GS planes would attack hostile ground armor, infantry, artillery, and anti-air as well. With Lethen lasers and missiles being more than enough to cover the Guangdong region in terms of range, they could fly very freely and conduct their strikes from a somewhat comfortable distance as well.
Meanwhile, Letheny moved the Raj's garrison of 300,000 to the border with Slaviikistan, and began to draft from the territory and nearby territories. Stockpiled armor was flown in to the Raj in large numbers, quickly growing from a few thousand to a few tens of thousands. In Oest-Amerika, the local garrison was roughly 1.2 million. Letheny's rapid military expansion was made possible by the Lethen drafts-and-reserves system, in which large numbers of efficiently-called reservists were given a large series of VR exercises to make sure they were not out of shape for combat and to restrengthen their skills. Draftees would bolster these numbers and undergo an extremely advanced training program near the border that was being militarized in order to allow them to not only be trained quickly, but to swiftly reach their assigned destination. On this border, half of the forces would begin military exercises while the other half dug in. Then, after a while, the two halves would switch roles, and repeat on and on.
But this was already straining the Lethen economy, and so the Kaizer ordered a "partial economic mobilization plan", citing "increasing tensions and conflict in the world that threaten Letheny's wellbeing and security". Many companies were enlisted to begin contributing to the Lethen military. More tanks, more guns, more planes, and more ships swiftly went under production. The ships lost in Mars would soon be replaced twofold (with all strike craft being scrapped in favor of more destroyers and cruisers, a large reduction in the amount of kinetic and laser weapons in favor of missiles, and perhaps looking into more weapon technology), and thousands more tanks, land cannons, and artillery weapons were ordered. 2000 more fighter jets were to be made, 1500 more bombers, and 1700 more ground strike craft. Letheny's naval numbers were to increase by 1.5x and her air navy numbers by 2x. Of course, none of this was announced and neither was Luka's plan to build up carefully to almost a war economy if not a full one.
