Im probably the same here. the federation wouldn't like a sudden shift in power so close to home. And if hostile actions are taken towards my neutral shipping we may get involved on Belle's Side in the future.

This is going to please Weinam lol.

Ok the next stages of Weinam interaction:

- Belle starts an armour attack which is repelled by Weinam Marines and Lortik defences, causing large casualties.
- Weinam agrees to ceasefire and mutual consent to remove dead and wounded personnel.
- Weinam captures a Ilsan Officer and transfers him back to Weinam for 'Special Talks'
- Low ammunition and supplies force Weinam Marines to withdraw to Lortik capital for final engagement.
- Weinam withdraws it's Marines and makes plans to head home, but not before a brief engagement with the Ilsan navy.
- Weinam claims Lortik now fully equipped to survive as they arrive back home.
- The Ilsan Officer is interrogated, tortured and held captive for a few months.
- The Officer is eventually released following SHOCK ties to Lortik.
- Weinam unofficially begins SHOCK investigation using Secret Police.

I sent a tg to AM a propos SHOCK, so we will see how that goes, but otherwise that seems good.

Maybe the final act of the war would be an Weinamese Spec Ops team capturing Eadwine, (the Lortik from SHOCK), ‘talking’ with him, and executing him.

Sure, if AM agrees to that. it's fine by me. Publicly Weinam would announce the arrest and detainment of Eadwine but the 'talks' and execution would likely be done behind closed doors.

Therefore, what if Major Joubert is actually an undercover Lortik in the Ilsan army? Weinamese interrogators pry out of him the information that he has ties with SHOCK, (which contributed to the utter massacre of Ilsans during their encounter with Weinam).
The naval battle occurs (I can rp it), and Weinam withdraws, taking the Major.
BIET wants Joubert back, but Weinam is recalcitrant. (Weinam could try and hold out on Scelf’s Island to add to the crisis).
This could then turn into a short espionage affair with Weinamese agents slipping among Lortik refugees and past League investigators to hunt members of SHOCK, whilst being hunted by Ilsans doing the same thing.
