A Threat Realised Planning (OOC, TWI Only)

Ever since the overthrow of the Lortik Empire by Maximilien I in 1718, aggravated by the herding of Lortik nobles into Alkanost and the fringes of the former territory Bellemon, Lortik nobles and peasants alike have sought to reclaim their lost empire, and recover parts of their lost ancestral homeland in the Ilse.

Leading up to the massacre, the elder Duc de Bellemon was killed by a bomb under a bridge, with Ilsan suspicions heavily directed towards the Lortiks, and thus more or less ignorant of SHOCK’s involvement. While SHOCK will initially go unnoticed, a foreign, then Ilsan, agents will discover their connexion, causing world disassociation from the cause, whilst giving Ilsan public support for the war a strong boost.

Hey, what do you want us to do in the League? There's still really not enough concrete evidence for us to take any action. Are you looking for a particular outcome with that resolution? It looks like you have the Lortiks lose in the end, so I'm assuming the recognition resolution will be declined (as it should be at this point).

Yes. In the League, I would like it if niether resolution is passed, mine because of how ridiculous it would be ICly, and because it force me to leave the League, which I do not want IC or OOC. However, if the League were to condemn or give the Ilse observer status I would be fine. That is to say, as long as the Ilse is not removed, and the Lortiks remain unrecognised, I do not mind what the League specifically does.

I would support OOC a resolution demoting the Ilse and expelling the Lortik pseudo-delegate, though not ICly, where the Ilse would abstain.

I will make a news post soon, and have some atrocities occur (probably along mediaeval lines, like Limoges, in addition to sinking a few refugee boats, thoygh those will probably be less common, as the geberal Lortik mentality is to go fight the invader).

AM, do you want to have a reporter there, whi can provide a factual contrast to official Ilsan accounts. It would also be good to start planning AM’s response after Ilsan persistance and direct threats to AM.

Verdon has a high opinion of the Ilse, although we view your government organization as less efficient than ours. I haven't gotten a chance to RP that yet, so I'm going to attempt to do so by continuing to use the "we still don't have actual proof" argument in the League. If you need someone to send you help with the issue, I'd be up for it - though I'd prefer it to be a bit secretive.

Weinam sees AM as a potential site of Communist influence so it's likely to be getting friendly and will be offering help or assistance during this crisis. Weinam will try over time to push it's influence across all four corners of the map. This fighting sees a perfect opportunity to slip into international attention.

It's likely that with AM's agreement, Weinam will station a few of her ships in the region and perhaps engage with Ilsan with a few stray missiles and see what develops afterwards. Weinam has 2 objectives they can play out here, show a compassionate side in assisting AM since Ilsan sunk a ship not engaged in combat, while also getting a toehold in the area and causing a stir to the democratic powers.

It's cool. How about tomorrow Weinam announces it's involvement and confirms to have fired on a ship that was refusing to communicate or sailing too close to the Weinamese fleet. A small Marine amphibious landing can meet Lortik forces and start supply shipments.
