The Government of Khataiy initiated a five year project to boost economic output and part of this program included developing parts of the nation that were underdeveloped, now in the Northeastern part of the country the government has sent Paramilitary forces to evacuate non-Arab populated villages so that they can be turned into agricultural and industrial areas for state-owned industries as well as wealthy Arab land owners.

During the first day there were large protests and human chains formed however the pro-government paramilitary group "Kataibat al-Fedayeen" opended fire killing seven while a truck drove through the crowd at high speeds carrying militiamen, injuring five and leaving one with fatal injuries.

-destroying non-Arab villages to be converted into industrial areas (discrimination against non-Arabs)

After the first day clearing 38 villages Kurds assembled nationwide mainly in the Kurdish regions in the northeast condemning the government and accusing the government of racism, terrorism, and destroying Kurdish culture. The protesters chanted "Biji Biji Kurdistan" the government responded to the protests by deploying two pro-government paramilitaries closely linked with Katibat Fedayeen called "Saraya Jaljalat" (Lightning Companies) and "Quwwat al Qabaliya" (Tribal Forces)

The militias shot at the protesters and as the crowd seperated several were arrested and four were chosen to be publically beheaded by combat knives.

Viribus--President Redwood continued her aggressive foreign policy today by reprimanding Khataiy for the paramilitary attacks on the Kurdish people on social media before taking more decisive action and banning the ambassador from Apikai 20 minutes later.

Col. Abdul Ghafour Adnani, a military leader in Khataity, posted a message on Setsuzoku earlier today, calling the internet "very dirty" and advocating censorship of "portions like video sites". Redwood replied some time later, bluntly advising the Colonel to cease attacks on the Kurds before worrying about online censorship.

Words and actions such as these continue to affirm Redwood's new direction for Apikaian foreign policy. Experts have called her policy surprisingly aggressive, interventionist and based on force projection. This is a major change in policy from previous administrations, and has been called the "Redwood Doctrine". This is especially surprising given recent internal strife--critics say she should focus on domestic affairs.

The Free Kingdom of Allanea is perplexed by the government of Khataiy, and of course condemns its attempts to ‘boost economic output’ through stealing the property of ethnic minorities. That said, we offer the government of Khatai a means to accomplish some of its goals, at least, through semi-peaceful means.

We would like an offer refugee status in the Free Kingdom (later convertible to full citizenship depending on the naturalization process) to up to 10,000 members of the various persecuted minorities. Foreign Office reveals statement about Freilibre opinion on Khataiy

Today, Her Majesty's Foreign Office Right Honourable Minister Gustave Jourdain is announcing Freilibre's disdain and position on the actions of the government of Khataiy.
After reports and information from sources stating that government paramilitaries force non-Arab groups off their property for 'economic development' and the killing
and homicide of protesters, Freilibre takes a stance.

"Despite the government claims, we take a firm stance against this type of behavior. Especially on the concerns we have of the lives
of innocents."

During the statement, Jourdain calls for considerable action against Khataiy. Meanwhile, the immigration office had already stated that it is willing to cooperate with
Khataiy to provide asylum. "We do recognize Khataiy sovereignty, but it is our right as another sovereign to declare that we condemn these actions. Appropriate
action by the EU and World Assembly must take place." While declaring this, Jourdain refused to comment on the possible ways and actions the Freilibran
government should do, and disagrees with an embargo, according to a recent encounter with CNN.

The Foreign Office are reportedly undecided on the situation however. They have yet to express details into how Freilibre must be involved. MP of Yvvone National Park in an
interview with FBE Regional commented on Jourdain's 'unstable position;' "I myself personally hate the Khataiy government and I believe they have committed crimes
against humanity once they started those 'evacuations.' The question is, what does Mr. Jourdain think? We have yet to hear an answer from him."

Other MPs have criticized Jourdain's announcement and have expressed their concerns over the legitimacy of the sources.

The Queen, Margrett IXX openly expressed her personal opinion on social media during the announcement earlier today: "My comments do not reflect the official stance
of Freilibre in international relations in any way. But in my belief, this is racism and intolerance to those of differing opinions and beliefs. This is outright cruel, and
unjust. I was particularly flustered when reports came in of suppressing public protesting. And of course, the government claims these are 'criminals.' Yeah right, if
'criminals' meant people who were tired of oppression and racism against their people, then it would be true."

The country still remains divided on the situation, and the peacekeeping divisions of the army are reportedly on standby as of today.

He was praying with several missionaries that came here yesterday to help with the humanitarian mission provided by the House's international NGO, Universal International.

While realizing that the Kurdish refugees here fleeing the government-supported militias have no interest in converting, they decided to do what the other civilian humanitarian aid groups are doing and help these refugees find shelter from oppression.

"Atlantis is a country of liberty, a meeting of immigrants. We shall help you immigrate if you so desire, to flee persecution." said Jones. "No! We want to live here, in the places we were born in!" yelled one of the refugees back at him. To Jones, the refugee was well dressed and was speaking with other refugees and showing papers around, perhaps showing legal documents. The refugees here, while desiring to be safe also wanted to remain in the country they were born in and had livelihoods and roots since time immemorial.

"WE WANT TO STAY, STOP THE MASSACRES!" yelled several refugees, all of them appearing to be young and college educated. The youth desiring change in their country. "This 'economic program' is just cover for killing us and forcing us out. The world should know that President Khairallah is a murderer!" yelled another one.

"Please, please, let us help you. We have food, water, and shelter. We're close enough to the border so the militias wouldn't dare to come he--" started Jones, but he was cut off by gunfire being shot into the air.

Militias were entering the Universal International refugee camp, forcing people to run away. Several militiamen chased after people into the camp's inner areas.

"Stop, stop in all that is good and holy, stop killing your brothers--brothers made by God!" yelled Jones at a group of militiamen walking towards him after stopping their truck with a machine gun in the bed.

"Please, you have to get my family out of here. The regime doesn't like me because I'm a lawyer, and they've harassed my family for over four months now. Please, grant us asylum." said Agrin Bashur, who presented his passport and other legal documents to Lieutenant Marcel Thompson, United Atlantean States Marine. Bashur's family was just behind him, along with the rest of the growing crowd of Kurdish and other minorities trying to enter the embassy.

Thompson is in charge of the Marine Diplomatic Mission Security Team, the protection force for the embassy. "Sir, we're processing as fast as we can, but we have a lot to go through; the line is huge past the gate as it is outside. The embassy staff are trying to find enough asylum documents for everyone."

But that was not Thompson's only concern. His marines have sighted several militia technicals patrolling the streets outside the capital. His priority was the safety of the embassy, and he might have to return fire if the militias attack anyone nearby or tries to enter the embassy. I wonder how many are on the regime's hit list, he thought to himself. These crackdowns against protest are excellent cover for claiming terrorist or extremist elements are threatening the country. But from what he saw, he saw people standing up for themselves. Atlantis has a history of that.

After speaking to couple more families with the help of an interpreter, several militia technicals arrived close to the embassy, with guards exiting vehicles. They aimed their guns at the crowd while a smaller group made way to the embassy gate. Asylum seekers made way for them, but shouted profanities at the approaching militiamen.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you all here today?" asked Thompson sarcastically. A couple marines got behind him, wearing their body armor; one had a grenade launcher to launch tear gas, the other had an assault rifle. Thompson only had his service pistol.

Brighthill, Radcliffe, Federal District of Kersauzon, United Atlantean States

Brighthill was buzzing with activity, again. The Consuls of the United Atlantean States, Joseph Brighton and Vincent Harling, were holding a press conference in the main press room.

According to the national constitution, the United Atlantean States Charter, executive power was vested in two Consuls. Both set foreign policy, both had to assent to new laws passed by the United Atlantean States Assembly, and both had to agree on using military force abroad or domestically and get approval from the Assembly. They met with each other for major executive decisions. If one disagreed with the other, there was a veto situation and no consensus reached.

Consuls were elected in joint sessions of the Chamber of Delegates and the Senate. The terms of each Consul was four-years and staggered with the other so that every two years a Consul was up for review by ..."the United Atlantean States in joint assembly."

Joseph Brighton, the Democrat from the State of Penzance, began the conference:

"My fellow Atlanteans. These travesties of justice in Khataiy are well known. The government claims that the militias there are for internal security, but they are violating the civil rights of their own citizens. The government has turned them into "the Other" to justify actions against them. That is why with our partners here in the Americas and in the Middle East, we are pushing for sanctions against the government and military of Khataiy. The United Kingdom of Saralonia and Atlantis will begin a heavy regime of sanctions against the President, Cabinet, and top military officials."

Vincent Harling, Democrat from New Hastings, began his part:

"We call upon our allies to condemn these atrocities, and for the United Nations to consider punishments and responses to the Khataiy government's actions. We will move to have motions in the General Assembly and Security Council tomorrow, and we will talk with our allies on the American continent on further action."

Each Consul both said 'thank you' and 'God bless Atlantis' to end the conference speeches there. Questions were asked by the press corps.

"Khalisah Al-Julani, Westerlund News. Does the Administration believe that the government of Khataiy will escalate their crackdown of peaceful protests with these multilateral actions?"

"No, we believe that Khataiy will respond by halting their actions due to international pressure. The main goal of Khataiy's crackdown is kick out anyone will can cause a postponement or slowdown of their long-term economic program, which only serves to alienate them from the international stage as they would stand to lose in trade deals along with kicking out people that could help theme economically. The protests by the Kurds are the only effective means of dissent and expression as they are marginalized from the political process. We say enough is enough. Khataiy should stop this and do more to bring in the Kurds rather than kick them out. They are letting extremists on both sides control the narrative." said Consul Brighton.

More questions were asked and answered, the press corps feeling mixed about the Consul's responses. The two were united on this, however. They didn't want any atrocities happening if they did nothing.

Though we have no problem with the relocation of a nation's citizenry, we can not condone the action of doing so with socialist intent. If you are going to be an irrendentist or a conqueror, be not cowardly and hide your intent!

Letheny will not side against Khataiy, as doing so would be tolerating nations that will be likely to turn against our own nation for further "liberation". Letheny will not side with communists and Jacobins. However we are not fond of socialism, and Khataiy itself is a republic, therefore you will not acquire our support. To summarize this, we do not particularly favor either side enough to be moved to take action.

Letheny would like to warn the nations or entities such as the International Security Corporations that we will not condone your hostility. If we judge that you may redirect your warmongering, falsely "liberating" tendencies towards us, then we will certainly take action to prevent you from achieving victory. To clarify, if the other nations involved in this incident are simply providing aid or harboring refugees, we are not bothered. Letheny is only bothered by the nations engaging in threats, hostilities, and other violent or forceful actions in the name of "freedom", "liberty", "liberation", et cetera.

As more nations came to condemn Khataiy for its actions in the Kurdish regions and Kurdish along with opposition groups began protesting the government, several Pro-Government Sunni Arabs and some Christian Arabs came out in various cities across the country holding signs with pro-government slogans, and chanting "Khataiy is Arab!" or "God, Khataiy, Omar, is all we want!" the protestors held the flags of Khataiy and Palestine as well as posters of Pan-Arabist individuals such as the President of Khataiy Omar Khairallah, Yasser Arafat, Saddam Hussein, Ahmed Yassin, Micheal Aflaq, and Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri. Several speakers spoke at pro-Government rallies in the capital, a majority of the rhetoric called the international community: hypocritical, selfish, one sided, as well was calling their leaders war mongers.

Allowing for foreign direct investment; maintaining social, economic, and political stability; and fostering inclusiveness of all peoples will in the long run benefit your country much more significantly than improving the lot of some at the expense of others.
