This is the start of the Confederaziun Dals Nasiuns modern day role play.
If you wish to join the RP, you must join the reigon.

No Nukes or other sort of Super-weapons allowed. Chemical, Biological, Orbital Weapons and MOABs are allowed.

[Nunavutialand]

The Islamic Republic of Nunavutialand is a large, powerful and influential nation located in Western Europe. Comprising the lands of France, the Illes Ballears, and autonomous provinces in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The legislature is the Parliament, and the nation is led by multiple people from numerous parties.
The incumbent president is currently Shinzo Hakai of NAFDEMA, with the current Prime Minister being Justin Penn of Liberal Dawn. His party is in a three-way coalition with Move Forward Nunavutia and NAFDEMA, and consequently the First Premier is Christine Ward of Move Forward Nunavutia, and the Second Premier is Amjed Hashem of NAFDEMA.

Parliament is headquartered in Lyon, while the Senate is headquartered in Paris. The Presidential Residence, consequently, is in Paris while the residences of the PM and First Premier are in Lyon. The Second Premier lives in Heraklion, the capital of the Nunavutian Mediterranean Autonomous Provinces, coinciding with his assigned duty to govern the NMAP alongside the NMAP's First Minister, Amina Sheikh.

Nunavutialand is home to 93,514,580 people (2010 census), of which 3,514,580 live in the Mediterranean Autonomous Provinces.

NMAP DETAILS -
The Nunavutian Mediterranean Autonomous Provinces are a group of provinces which have united in order to gain autonomy. These former Provinces (Malta, Kriti and Rodos, Cyprus) had been part of Nunavutialand since 1640 when they were annexed by the Nunavutian Empire during the Nunavutian-Protacan Holy War.
The NMAP is comprised of four districts, these being Malta, Kriti, Rodos and Cyprus. Each district is then split into four Zones. Each Zone elects a Delegate to represent it in the Mediterranean Assembly. A First Minister is elected by the 16 members of the Mediterranean Assembly to represent the NMAP Capital, Heraklion, bringing the total number of members to 17. The current First Minister is Amina Sheikh.

Each member of the Mediterranean Assembly is granted a place in the Nunavutian Parliament. It should be noted that the Assembly is a devolved government and laws must be directly approved by the Senate, as is the case with Parliamentary laws.

DEFENCE FORCES OF NUNAVUTIALAND -
Nunavutialands defence forces are known as the National Nunavutian Defence Forces. It has 744,000 active troops with 1.3 million reserves of which 500,000 can be called into service at any time. Military expenditure is high and thus it is very strong, however deployed not as much.
The Navy maintains a massive presence around the world, reminding many of the might of our navy which can be dated back to 933AD when the Nunavutian Empire was founded.

We have a friendly relationship with our neighbour, Ingalia, and our air defence system, Proxima Infinitum extends to cover the whole of the Iberian peninsula, however does not extend to Ingalia's Moroccan lands.
This does not come at a cost to Ingalia, as we vow to protect them from any and all threats, namely the SOAS.

Ingalia
The Republic of Ingalia completely encompasses the Iberian Peninsula, With the capital being located in Madrid. It has a population of 76 million, with Libson, Madrid, Barcelona, Porto, and Granada being major population centers.
Ingalia is a mid-income nation, however, the economy has been steadily growing.
Ingalia has a multi-party system, however the Republican party has remained dominant, with the Socialist Party and Totalist Party rarely winning Parliament seats or elections.
Far-right parties have been banned after the 2nd Ingalian Civil war in 1944.
Ingalia maintains close relations with Nunavutialand, Protocan, and all other democratic countries.
Ingalians enjoy complete freedom of speech, press, and religion, however much of Ingalia is agnostic.
Ingalia has large minority populations of Nunavutians, Morrocans, and Protocans, with other minority populations being small.

Ingalia's ground forces rank around 230,000 strong, with around 750,000 trained reserves. Ingalia also maintains a defensive militia force, with Militias being allowed to organize, arm, and train only with the governments permission.

Morocco:
When republicans took over Ingalia, almost all of the colonies broke away, except Morocco. Morocco remained part of Ingalia, as republican revolutionaries there had similar goals and beliefs. After a while, Morocco was granted semi-independence under a "puppet" government.
Morocco has a population of around 35 million.
Morocco is mostly Muslim, and like Ingalia, has complete freedom of religion, speech, and press.
Morocco keeps a independent defensive force of around 115,000 troops, and around 89,000 under Ingalian control.

[Nunavutialand]

Imran Bouazizi, a 43 year old street vendor from Charleroi, sets himself on fire in the middle of the town. Provincial authorities had been harassing him for the previous two years non-stop.
He dies 43 hours later of burns.

President Shinzo Hakai calls Bouazizi, a traitor and a tax evader. The Parliament and Senate unanimously voice the same opinion, as does the Prime Minister and the two Premiers. Public opinion is on the side of Bouazizi, however.
The coal was set and now a spark was needed.
Enter the 37 year old Senator for the Channel Islands, Richard Falkirk. He resigns and leaks 50,000 documents showing government corruption and voter fraud to keep Hakai elected. As well as this, evidence of the blackmailing of MPs and Senators are revealed.
With the spark and the fire burning, protests against the government begin in Paris and Nantes. All call for the arrest of the current government and the disbanding of the NAFDEMA Party, which is at the centre of the leaks.

Protests convince Military General Ahmed Hussain to overthrow Hakai.
Hussain takes his military to outside the Presidential Palace in Paris, and issues Shinzo Hakai an ultimatum.
Resign and plead guilty to treason, corruption, voter fraud and crimes against humanity.

Hakai accepts the ultimatum.
Ahmed Hussain becomes President of Nunavutialand. His first act is to fire the Second Premier and sentence him to death along with Shinzo Hakai.
Hussain then orders the imprisonment of every NAFDEMA member in the country.
Over 491,000 people are thrown into prisons. Overcrowded conditions are paired with Hussain ordering that food deliveries to prison should be quartered. Hussain nullifies the Constitution for an indefinite period of time.
After 48 hours of rule, Hussain instates himself as Emperor of Nunavutialand, drafts a constitution limiting his power and essentially making him rich beyond words.
He orders an immediate election and bans the NAFDEMA party. Liberal Dawn wins the election with Justin Penn becoming President. In the Parliament, Liberal Dawn wins in a coalition with Move Forward Nunavutia, with Alia Hashem as Prime Minister and Rana Atif as Premier.
Alia Hashem reinstates the Constitution and Justin Penn does not alter Hussain's prison laws.

But the suicide of Bouazizi has turned him into a martyr for regime change.
It will spread to Ingalia, no doubt, for their single-party state, although democratic, has stood too long. Penn phones the Ingalian leader and warns him of the coming danger to his state.

Thousands of protesters have took to the streets, demanding that Roja Perez step down and a new election, with multiple parties allowed.
Among the 50,000 leaked documents, evidence of corruption by Perez and the Republicans, money laundering, and election rigging was revealed.
Roja, afraid of a socialist revolution or far-right takeover, which lead to civil war back in 1944, would happen again, demanded that the protesters be dispersed and leaders arrested.
Soon, protests escalated into riots as more and more people joined.
Soon, the presidential palace was surrounded by rioters, and as rioters closed in, Police and Republican Guards opened fire. Soon violence spread through the rest of Madrid, and soon over 173 protesters were dead, with another 12,000 sustaining serious injury. 21 policemen and Republican Guards were killed, and 59 more injured.
A quite horrific scene unfolded as 3 policemen were dragged into a crowd of rioters, stripped of weapons, and then hung from a tree.
Fires soon started through Madrid as the city devolved into chaos.

General Santiago knew this must stop. He seized control of the military and declared a coup. After assuring popular support, paratroopers landed throughout Madrid. The police sided with the Coup, while the Republican Guard stayed loyal to the president. After intense gunfights and even more rioting, the Republican Guard was defeated and the palace stormed. Roja Perez and the rest of the Pairlement were arrested.

Fighting continues across Ingalia, as Republicans loyalists militias and Republican Guards seized control of some small cities and towns and a large chunk of Porto and Libson.

Shells have been fired by rebels in Ingalia across the border, killing 12 Nunavutians and injuring 38.
President Justin Penn has called for an emergency senate meeting on the topic of the Ingalian Civil War. Intervene or not?
He has already stopped Proxima Infinitum from covering Ingalian land.

3 hours later...

The decision was made.
The Parliament agrees that intervention to push Ingalian rebels far away from the border is necessary. We will not choose a side but we are fighting to keep our own nation safe.
The Senate approves, and 10,000 Nunavutian troops are pushed into Ingalia, taking control of the border and 25km inland. We will return the land as soon as the war is ended.

The Kingdom of Osteraban is a country incorporating Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine with a strong monarchy that has reigned for 4 centuries and is led Under King Jonathan the 2nd. He has control over the senate to a limited degree. The population is currently at 68,043,618 (2010 census) and the size of the army is roughly 486,000 currently serving and around 126,000 in reserves. Our main trade partner is protacan due to The Bosporus strait. The capital is Odessa where the senate is held and the home to the king, prime minister, and pope. The main religion is gurdukan with 4/5 practicing it (2010 census). The pope is saint Rockefeller and the prime minister is Matthew Calon.

[Nunavutialand]

The defensive pact between the Ingalian Government (currently recognised as the military general's government) and Nunavutialand has been raised in Parliament.
A clause in the treaty forming the pact means that Nunavutialand is required to assist Ingalia in their civil war.
Consequently, the 10,000 troops in Ingalia begin the push the rebels back. Our advanced military has made it extremely easy and it will be done within 3 months, although some pockets will remain.

However, the NCA has returned to the Dustbelt and New England, with the leader of Barack Obama, the 7th President of the NCA. It is currently leaded by the Transitional Party, a big tent party centrist and left wing values.

We aid the Republican Guards in Ingalia with the following demands:
1) The Parliament will elect a democratic socialist leader into power
2) A Tricameral Government will replace Ingalia's current government:

Nunavutialand announces its formal support for the Military Government of Ingalia, stating that corrupt leaders only lead to chaos and mayhem, and that we trust the Military Government will soon reinstate democratic rule while watching over the leaders as we have done.
We have no demands for the military government other than that they recognise our sovereignty and continue the warm relationship our two nations have held for years.

Nunavutialand supplies the Military Government of Ingalia with USD$25 billion, or 2.5 billion Nunavutian Dinars.
We also send a further 40,000 troops into Iberia to assist the Ingalian Military on top of our already present 10,000 troops. All territory we temporarily took over along the border has been ceded back to Ingalia.

President Justin Penn releases a statement to the Nunavutian people.
"The situation in Ingalia has begun quickly. A civil war has begun between the Ingalian Military, supporting protesters who flocked to the streets against the rule of Roja Perez and his Republican Party, and the Republican Guard, the military wing of Perez's party.
The government of Nunavutialand, was, as you remember, created following the sacrifice of 27 Nunavutians in the 16th April Protests against corruption. This is the same in Ingalia. We cannot forget that the military there is doing the same as ours did in a time of need.
However, we must intervene. The crisis must end quickly in Ingalia. It will escalate into a humanitarian disaster unless a swift end is brought to it, which is not being aided by a certain foreign government. Nunavutialand will express its full and utmost support for the people's decisions, as it is clearly a popular one.
I formally declare war on the Republican Guard of Ingalia. We will work with our Ingalian allies to protect the right of freedom, democracy and the right to a ruler who does not steal from the people.
Thank you."

Penn's declaration of war came as a shock to many Nunavutians. Anti-war protests begin in cities across the country, with those in Geneva, Calais, Paris and Lyon exceeding 1 million protesters.
A total of 12,000,000 Nunavutians protest from Cyprus to Jersey. First Minister Amina Sheikh of the NMAP states her staunch support to intervention, and the Mediterranean Assembly votes 12-4 in support of the war. This is in stark contrast to the Parliament, which, with its 400 members, voted 205-195 in support of intervention. This majority vote was achieved only with the support of the Conservative Party, who were expected to vote against Liberal Dawn's decision.

The anti-war protest in Heraklion was dispersed with tear gas due to NMAP legislation stating that protests must be authorised by the First Minister, and F.M. Sheikh rejected the protest.
This was a large mistake for police, as the 8,000 strong protest retaliated by throwing bricks and throwing molotov cocktails. In response, the District Governor of Cyprus declares martial law in his District, while in Malta, the only District that opposed the war, protests were not dispersed and remained peaceful whilst still being technically illegal.
Prime Minister Alia Hashem tells Amina Sheikh to immediately cease her suppression of free speech. Sheikh tells Hashem to stop intervening in autonomous matters and that the PM has no authority in the Autonomous Provinces for that is only applicable to the Second Premier and President.

With Nunavutian Intervention, The Republican Guard is quickly pushed back on all fronts. Many are surrounded as people rise up in the streets, and Cities like Barcelona and Grenada where subject to intense urban warfare between the different sides, but eventually were captured.
More rural areas were easily swept of the Republican Guard by Ingalian Armor, but there are still republican guerrilla forces fighting across the countryside.
The Republican Guard still holds several large cities, most notably Porto, Lisbon, Seville, Valencia, and Murcia.

Roja Perez himself has escaped after a large Republican Militia launched a counter-attack on Madrid, with over 2000 Militia men and around 300 Republican Guards participating. They attack the prison that was holding Perez and freed him. After they retreated into the sewer system, it is believed they then escaped via truck. Santiago has allowed for Military and Police to search vehicles in hopes of finding Perez. A 300,000 dollar bounty has been set on him to return alive.

Morocco is completely lost to the Republicans, as General Felipe Esperanza, the leader of the Ingalian military in Morocco, declares a counter-coup and sides with the Republicans. Soon, the Independent Moroccan Army sides with the Republicans and declares it's independence as Republican Morocco. Thousands of Republican Guards and loyalist begin to flock to Morocco.

Felipe Esperanza knew it wouldn't be enough though, and that the Ingalians would be invading Morocco soon. He knew that he must make peace in order for the Republicans, and a independent Morocco to survive.

So he asked for a ceasefire, and General Santiago agreed. (This ceasefire includes Nunavutialand).

He quickly drafted up a treaty.

SOAS is a strong nation lead by Otto Hall, supreme leader for life.
The people of SOAS are brave and insanely patriotic, and worship Otto Hall like a god. They are a hardworking people that only care for SOAS and it's allies.
SOAS maintains a strong military, and a decent air force and navy, with around 700,000 active personnel, and 1,200,000 in reserves.
SOAS's population of 68 Million are militaristic, and military service is compulsory for young men.
SOAS has a strong industrial base, with most people working in factories. SOAS's massive iron and Tungsten mines supply much of the world and supply SOAS with excess resources.
SOAS has a network of Anti-Air defenses across the country encase of a war.

SOAS does not really care about the Ingalia-Nunavutialand-Morocco situation, but Otto Hall has stated that he would like things to be resolved soon, as the war is making trade in the Mediterranean difficult.

General Santiago, not wanting more war, and happy with the chance of unifying Ingalia without any more violence, signs the treaty.

Republican Guard forces begin to withdraw, but many loyalist surrender rather than leave their homes.

All in all, over 25,430 Ingalians Republicans, 18,700 Ingalian rebels/military, and 2,450 Nunavutians, and 34 Moroccans were killed or injured in direct combat. A further 89,000 were injured in combat.
Ingalia has suffered much damage, mostly in cities, particularly in Madrid and Barcelona, where the fighting and rioting was most intense.
Cities such as Lisbon and Murcia were spared from much damage due to the treaty and withdraw of republicans.

We do not recognize the new government in Ingalia, we have formally stated that:
"The path for freedom and democracy was destroyed by Imperialist terror. We embargo the new rump state, and destroy all trade of our Tungsten and Oil"

The NCA began supporting a paramilitary group called the Maquisards in Catalonia and the Basque region, with cultural and national heritage, they could grant themselves independence.

We are annoyed that the recognized democratically elected government loyalists did not send back a message over approval, and some parts of the government have called them cowards for signing a treaty so early on, when they could've won the war with our support

The Commonwealth of Clicktopia is a unitary constitutional republic which consists of the island of Greenland and various smaller islands around the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.

Though geographically part of North America, Clicktopia is culturally European and was historically a part of the Kingdom of Denmark until independence in 2016.

The War of Independence was fought by the Democratic Front led by now-President Arthur Barclay assisted mostly by Catalan, Argentinean and Cuban volunteers against the Danish Imperial Army. Independence day is the 20th July.

The Commonwealth is politically dominated by Barclay's Liberal Party, which holds all seats on the Senate, and 235 out of 300 seats in the House of Representatives. The remaining seats are distributed amongst the Traditionalists, Socialists and Nationalists who form the Opposition Coalition who's sole purpose is to remove the Liberals from power.

President Barclay has been accused of being a despot by critics due to his domination and appointing family members to positions in the military and National Palace.

The population of Clicktopia is 80% Inuit, 10% Northern European, 8% Arab and 2% various other ethnicities.

Due to massive conflict over the use of Inuit and Danish languages, English is now the language of television, education and politics.

The significant Arab community were invited by the government to rebuild infrastructure from Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Qatar. They mostly work as manual labourers.

The national religion of Clicktopia is Clicktopianity, which is a form of Lutheran Protestantism originating in Poland. Open practice of any other religion, including other denominations of Christianity, is banned with an exception made for Islam, which is strictly controlled by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Clicktopia maintains an strong military made up of the former Democratic Front forces, now called the Clicktopia Defence Force consisting of the Clicktopia Army, the Clicktopia Air Force, the Greenlandic Militia and the National Guard. Naval, Special and Marine Forces are part of the Army.

The Clicktopian government maintains friendly relations with all foreign governments and pursues free trade and international peace on the World Stage.

The Protacan Republic has begun trying to improve relations with the Nunavutialand autonomous districts. We also wish to cooperate

We offer the Protacan a place in NATO if Ingalia also agrees.
We invite the Ingalian and Protacan leaders to Ibiza (NATO Headquarters) to discuss the Protacan joining NATO.

In regards to the NCA, President Justin Penn implements a ban on all American citizens from entering Nunavutialand (inc. the NMAP). This ban will not affect dual nationals who hold Ingalian, Protacan, Clicktopian, Moroccan or Osantirian citizenship.
