Nationale Volksheer 3/16/2022 Restructuring, New Supplies [For Public Release]: High Command has liquidated several outdated and unprofessional elements of Noxtrem's armed forces, such as the paramilitary groups the formed during the revolution. Those men are being retrained and reassigned to help in the formation of a new and mobile army group, code named: "Biltzgewittern". This army group will include a new class of infantry, for now called "Storm Brigades", these smaller units combine aggressive and highly mobile elements with the effective squad tactics, that in the last war contributed to the high adaptability of our supporting forces. These new brigades will utilize anti-tank weapons, armored personnel carriers, armored units, along with standard infantry equipment. This military expansion requires the purchasing of 40 tanks, the construction of nearly 100 tanks (we are currently producing a stable number of artillery and armored personnel carriers), and the recruitment of ~12,000 men. This expansion will bring Noxtrem's armed forces to over 122,000 men strong. The Indstrieausschuss believes that our arms manufacturing will be able to meet the temporary rapid increase in demand. A deal has been made with the Prussian arms manufacturing group SW, to allow for Noxtremian production of their Leopard II model, and our immediate need for 40 new armored units has been filled through a deal with the government of Prussiaholm. "Christian Labour" National Assemblymen create Christian Democratic Labour Party

​The members of the National Assembly who make up the "Christian Labour" bloc, a previously loosely organized political faction that dissented from the Christian Right, have gathered in Toronto to sign a charter establishing a new party. The Christian Democratic Labour Party (CDLP) is now formally an independent party from the Christian Right.

Sean Patterson, the leader of the CDLP in the National Assembly, was selected to be Chairman of the party. The party's charter, adopted by the Chairman, states the party's core values of"Christian democracy, labour rights, personal and national sovereignty, and the rights of man."

Following the split several months back, several Christian Right leaders have suggested suing both the Christian Labour and Christian Right Radical split-away groups for fraud, however, there is no legal precedent that would support their case.

The CDLP polled at about 9.4% in the last electoral poll taken by Ememeree-Schwarzman Polls yesterday.

We also wish to remind the readers that Sietsk has withdrawed all support for Sudan, former Belstadt, due to repeated violence and refusal of cooperation. Tri Poloski national anthem Siesk's entry for this year's APSIAvision is Tri Poloski by the legendary Davay. Gopniks from all over the country are happy, because the song will bring attention to the Gopnik culture present in Sietsk. When a fellow Gopnik asked one of the President's councillors whether it is possible to make the song into the national anthem, the councillor responded with "We'll think about it. Don't get your hopes up, though"

Supreme Court rules pro-separatist, dual citizen politicians unconstitutional



The court ruled 8-1 in favor of
the Albertan government


​The Supreme Court of the Nationalist Gold Union ruled 8 to 1 in favor of the Commonwealth of Alberta in the Commonwealth of Alberta v. GroupKM case this morning. The court's ruling, which cites Article 17 section 2 of the Constitution, rules that "elected politicians are not allowed to be beholden to interests that are unrelated to their constituencies."

The case in question, where the government of Alberta sued GroupKM, a pro-Kannsa-Minnesotan independence caucus in the commonwealth legislature, sets a landmark precedent in NGU politics that will prevent any elected politician from using their political office to advocate for the interests of "another constituency over their own."

"Elected servants are to be representatives of the whole people, and shall not be bound by orders or instructions from actors who are not the people they serve," Article 17 § 2 of the Constitution reads. The Court interpreted that politicians who advocate for the independence of Kannsa-Minnesota or Alorn are violating the constitution by "representing a country that is not the Nationalist Gold Union."

"The purpose of an elected representative is to serve the Union, their Commonwealth, their Province, their Municipality, their school community, or whatever constituency they were elected to represent. By advocating for the interests of a foreign nation, the representative in question is not representing their community, but instead subverting the integrity of the state," the verdict said.

The verdict additionally rules serving in an elected office as a dual citizen illegal, requiring that "anyone who seeks political office must be a citizen of the Nationalist Gold Union and nowhere else."

The verdict made it clear that politicians who are currently sitting will not lose their offices for past offenses, but any further unconstitutional actions could result in their removal from office.

The Think Tank was accepted by the Board after it was decided that funding would be taken directly from Ambarita's campaign funds. Standevian officials in Batam have yet to comment on whether or not they played a role in the CEO's decision. 05/27/2022 Vhalour Corporation Buys Bingham Canyon Mine Today CEO Ehmrial Oobo of the Vhalour Corporation confirmed that the Elorian Republic based mining firm has bought the Bingham Canyon Mine from the Yutan Sultanate for $2.5 billion. The Bingham Canyon Mine, called Kennecott Mine by the locals, is North America's largest copper mine, and has produced over 19 million tons of copper since it's opening in 1906. The mine, which is almost a kilometer deep and 4 kilometer wide, stopped mining operations during the Yutan-Alornian conflict, and consequently saw the mine's previous owner, the Utah Mining Company, collapse and leave up to 15,000 workers unemployed, further worsening the poverty situation in the area. The Vhalour Corporation aims to bring the mine back to it's glory days, as well as hire all former employees of the Utah Mining Company and in turn also help the Yuta economy get back on its feet. CEO Oobo has personally stated his likings towards Confederate CEO Jacob Ambarita's Think Tank plan for the Yutan Sultanate, and said in a recent interview that he 'hopes the actions of the Vhalour Corporation will aid in Ambarita's efforts to better the status of the struggling nation'. The Hannoverian Workers' Weekly Paper, June 14th, 2022 VSA, NVH Establish Aid Organization Following major developments in Panjal, the Noxtremian military and security community have established the Sozialistenhilfe-Gemeinschaft (SHG) to provide assistance to the suffering workers and toilers in Panjal, until their government is sufficiently prepared to step in. The Sozialistenhilfe-Gemeinschaft will send non-perishable foodstuffs, durable medical supplies, and children's educational supplies to Panjal, and will help oversee the distribution of those goods. Two medical and educational facilities will be established within the next two months. A token peacekeeping group, made up of VSA guardsmen, will accompany the SHG and stand ready at their facilities.

Inter-Commonwealth Convention of 2022 begins

​Despite delays by Cascadia and Alta California and the breaking away of the Kaapbond, the Inter-Commonwealth Convention of 2022, originally scheduled for 2021, has begun in Bermuda.

Although a year late, the Convention carries a lot of political significance, with the charter that the convention produces being able to apply powerful changes to the entire Union. Despite plenty of disagreements between the politics of the different Commonwealths of the Union, the charter is supposed to be a politically moderate and uniting document which should be popular with the majority of the Union.

As the Convention begins and delegates from all 8 commonwealths descend to Bermuda to spend the next weeks drafting the charter and voting on policies, The Caspia Chronicle will be providing live updates on any developments.

The Votação em Português, a voting organization operating out of Beja (Capital of the Crown of Portugal), is holding a referendum on wether the people want to add Portuguese as the second official language of Prisalia. Many Portuguese people have already voted, and "yes" is winning by a landslide. NDP interviewed Chico Sequeira, a "Grape salesman" from Lagos, who says "The people of Portugal have been oppressed for too long. Our language must be made official!" While most of the voters are saying yes, some people are doubting wether the government will recognize it or not. Xavier Reis, a Bejano, says "Do I think the Prisalians will care about the referendum? Of course not! This country has more to worry about than Portuguese people holding a referendum. Will they add Portuguese as an official language? No. Again, they have more to worry about." The Prisalian government in Lisbon has not commented on this referendum. NDP will update the people on Twitter when the Prisalians do talk about it.

The Sun Rises On the Steppe once More

It is known across much of the world that for a long time, Latvichka had gone dark, not responding with the outside world for much time. The reason being that until now Latvichka has been far more involved in the process of modernizing and rebuilding. In the Khator dynasty, many modern cities had been reduced to ruble, such as Ulaanbaatar, Erdenet, and others. Now we are pleased to say they are well on their way to being restored to funcional use, and no longer must serve as the slums of the Latvichkan Khanate. The New Khan, Burke Atil of the Akaan, has also enacted several social reforms for the betterment of the nation. Devices such as home appliances, phones, and other useful technology is now legal, though still restricted due to our lack of understanding with it. New developments in our cellphone technology developments have designed apps to improve the life of those still choosing to live the nomadic life. While the cities are being restored, and there is certainly urban migration occuring, the number of people prefering to remain in the nomadic steppe life is 58 percent. In addition to technology, we are begining to inquire about improving the medical practices of Latvichka, as the primitive techinques of the past have resulted in a relatively low projected lifespan for the average Latvichkan. Though this number will not drastically improve, the lives saved in urban cities will be worth it.
As far as more social policies go, the official language has been officially changed to Mongolian, as the Latvichkan language was deemed too harsh for buisness and political ventures, and shall now be classified as a recognized minority language. The government also has opted to officially recognize two scripts, both the classic mongolian script, and for more official ventures regarding international politics, the Cyrillic script. As we work with the nation of Mailikay and Ubizytotska, it was a natural choice and we hope it will make international intergration smoother. The Hannoverian Workers' Weekly Paper, July 20th, 2022 SHG Sends Humanitarian Aid to Yuta The Sozialistenhilfe-Gemeinschaft (SHG) is beginning a new program to assist those in extreme poverty in Yuta. SHG aid workers and supplies are flying into Yuta with permission from the government of the NGU. The SHG is sending 800 general aid workers, and 150 educational workers to the area. SHG aid workers helping struggling proletarians in Panjal Among the supplies being sent are durable foodstuffs, medical supplies, and educational materials for children (such as the popular Noxtremian children's book: "The Braver Worker"). The SHG is establishing two mid-sized humanitarian aid centers in Salt Lake City. The aid centers will be critical to the SHG operation. According to Bertha Allermeinz, acting head of the SHG, the aid centers will ...be the epicenters of our effort to distribute medical aid to adults, and provide educational opportunities, and nutritional food to struggling children.

Sinai Canal property rights dispute - 07/21/2022

Over the past month, relations between Zakalistan and Panjal have soured as Zakalistani diplomats have become increasingly belligerent over property rights regarding the recently completed and massively successful Sinai Canal. On Wednesday, National Reorganization Committee Attorney Matthieu Goldschmidt discussed the situation with the press. "The canal zone has been decidedly under Panjali and McFreedomstani control ever since the contract was signed to start construction. The Zakalistani government's recent push to take control of our canal zone is a desperate push to latch onto our success."

After a dispute at the between Panjali and Zakalistani diplomats over the Sinai Canal at the فندق برج السلام Hotel in Baghdad escalated into a fistfight, General Bhubaneswar Magsaysay announced that Panjal will be taking defensive military action in order to protect the Sinai. When asked about the issue, McFreedomstani CEO Jacob Ambarita initially refused to comment. When pressed on the issue however, Ambarita stated "All cultures are created equally."

The Hannoverian Workers' Weekly Paper, July 24th, 2022 Tensions Increase Between Prussiaholm and Noxtrem For the past year, Noxtrem and Prussiaholm have stood together in a frail alliance, largely driven by Noxtrem's need to export, and Prussiaholm's need to rebuild, and although Noxtrem and Prussiaholm technically stand united, the tension between the two has grown too great to ignore. Noxtrem's government has been extremely critical of the Prussian policy of immigration, which Noxtrem believes could compromise the security of the ECP (a view expressed by other ECP member states), and Prussiaholm remains skeptical of Noxtrem's government and its intent. The growing tension of the past few weeks has given way to a twitter-war between First-Premier Strasser, and the Prussian chancellor. First-Premier Strasser Visiting A Noxtremian Border Post in December Tensions once again became significant upon the Prussian construction of a massive border-defense system, which VSA officials warned could be used offensively if the Prussians wished to attack Noxtrem. Noxtremian and Prussian officials met, and when questioned about their intent, the only answer the Prussians provided was that the wall was an unfortunate result of their (arguably inferior) parliamentary system. Prussiaholm has likewise complains about Noxtrem's restrictions on foreigners, strong border security force, and strict examination of all goods shipped across the border, which they claim is an unnecessary and expensive security measure. The tension has begun to bleed into the functions of the ECP, with nations such as the B.U. taking a stance on the issue of immigration (they sided with the righteous Noxtremians). First-Premier Strasser has vowed to try and stabilize relations between the two germanic powers, but he is unwilling to compromise Noxtrem's core values.

APA Council Agrees Unanimously to Intervene in Ubizytotska

Following a snap decision by the APA Council, each member state voted in favor of liberating the occupied territories of Kundistan and ending the White hegemony in Central Asia. An ultimatum has been given to the unstable state, illegal state of Ubizytotska to liberate Kundistan and provide its Asian citizens a state of their own, or face immediate military intervention.

The Confederate Fleet, alongside with the NGU has already begun mobilizing. Elorian Commandant Michael Weers has confirmed that the Oceanic factions will be deploying their garrisons. General Magsaysay meets with Kuwaiti President - 07/31/2022

On Friday General Bhubaneswar Magsaysay, current interim leader of Panjal, arrived in Kuwait City where he was greeted by Kuwaiti President Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The two met to discuss the current state of affairs between Panjal and Kuwait, and what the future may look like for them. Magsaysay has been met with great praise from Kuwaiti officials, including President Jaber, for his heroic actions to steer Panjal into a new direction. No word was heard publicly from either leader regarding possible talks of reunification, though many analysts have predicted it was inevitably a topic of conversation in private.

During a joint press conference on Saturday, Magsaysay stated that "the land of Kuwait is tied culturally and historically to Panjal," and that only "short-sighted politicians were to blame for the falling out" between Kuwait and Panjal.

The Great Prussian Railway connected Hamburg and Konigsberg, connecting Prussiaholm across it's vertical axis, which not only lead to the creation of the Bremen-Hamburg Railway, but also created thousands of jobs. Both of these projects allowed Prussiaholm to increase it's economic output, and made the country more connected, and powerful. Much of the country has been neglected from this connection however. Sweden and Norway only have one road connecting them to Prussiaholm proper, and much of South Prussiaholm's rails and roads are still decrepit. Today, we aim to change that. Work will commence on the new motorways and railways to connect more isolated parts of the country. Motorways are wide and long roads that have no speed limit. Motorways are planned to connect up to existing roads (or create entirely new ones) in Dresden-Leipzig-Hamburg-Berlin-Wolfsburg-Magdeburg-Lubeck-Kiel-Copenhagen-Malmo-Gothenburg-Stockholm-Oslo-Danzig and Konigsberg, as well as connecting minor cities along the way. Railways are high speed railways, that will connect all the cities above while also being used for Prussiaholm's portion of the Black Sea Railway. Workers are being looked for both nationally and internationally. International Workers may apply for citizenship after working for 3 years, as per Article 12 of the Prussiaholmer Constitution. Ubizytotska Defiant, APA Taskforce Strikes

Defiant and proud, the Ubizytotksan elites dug in their heels when handed an ultimatum by the APA. Left with no other ethical choice, the APA launched an overwhelming assault on the quasi-democracy. Using Kundistan as a strategic staging area, dozens of Mashriqi and Confederate divisions pushed into Southern Ubizytotska. Major military installations were reduced to rubble by long range naval missiles and fortified mountain ranges faced the might of the NGU's airforce.

The Persian Gulf saw a short but violent naval engagement that ultimately saw the formidable Ubizytotskan Navy sunk within a day. Losses were minimal with the Confederacy only losing 7 minor vessels and 1 frigate. A salvo of airstrikes by the advanced Ubizytotskan air force laid waste to the PDF 3rd Fleet and threatened the entire task force. NGU & Mashriq interceptors forced the Ubizytotskan aircraft to flee and highlighted the need for modern AAA in the Confederate arsenal.
