The ships are nearing there second year of construction and can now be identified as actual ships at this point.

of the five ships under construction only three are intended for Songjiang with one of those dedicated to be Songjiangs contribution to the Pacific Alliance Fleet, the remaining two ships are listed as being exported to the Miltonia.

Construction efforts on the ships employs over 10,000 laborers per ship, and thousands more are employed by the Wuxing corporation which is responsible for shipping materials for the construction efforts. The city of Vladistock has seen a massive boom in its economy as a result of this work, and work generated by the ports responsibilities doing maintenance on Pacific Alliance ships.

King Karl presents bill to dissolve the Monarchy•SLP makes various promises

In a move that has not only shocked parliament and the people, Acting King Karl has presented a bill into the Reichsparlement that would effectively dissolve the monarchy and transfer all power to the some kind of parliamentary entity. As to why he did this, he spoke earlier at a press conference:
"After the tragedy that was the Parade assassination, It had led me to believe that Prussiaholm should be lead by a monarchy anymore. The way I see it, the killings were a sign from God, simply Our Lord acting on his plan."
while many have criticised his reasoning, groups like the Republican Frontier and the Democratic National Group have been pushing for a change like this ever since Prussiaholm's inception.

Parliament will vote on the 15th of December.

Fundamentally, the previously-independent nations of western America are lost. Kannsa-Minnesota has almost no trace of national identity anymore. It's been almost nineteen years since Kannsa-Minnesota was invaded by the Nationalist Gold Union's army and directly annexed as two new constituencies: Alberta and Vancouver. Besides the occasional rabble-rousing by groups like [the Movement for the Independence of Oppressed Nations], the former Kannsa-Minnesotan citizens are largely helpless against their new master country. The younger generation, who were born after the invasion, are entirely detached from their home culture.

The children were raised in the conservative, traditionalist, reactionary schools under Georg von Großer's rule, and these children were taught from the start that they only belong to one nation: Laurentia. "No matter what your parents may say," one lecture said, "you are citizens of the Nationalist Gold Union, and you will forever be so." State indoctrination began as soon as the government fell. The vulnerable and impressionable youth were easily swayed, too.

Voting patterns of the "Laurentian generation" (that is Vancouverites and Albertans of the class of 2020, eighteen years after Kannsa-Minnesota fell) reflect state indoctrination. While most of the adult population voted for center-right and autonomist parties in the latest election, an overwhelming majority of 18-year-old voters put the Christian Right on their ballot, where they see a unionist party like the CR as a reflection of what they were taught in school. Additionally, eastern Vancouver commonwealth and Alberta have consistently been rated the "least racially tolerant" places in the entire Union, with hate crimes committed by the youth being all too frequent.

From 2002 to 2012, there was no true liberal constitutional order. Parents who tried to imprint Kannsa-Minnesotan values were actively punished by the state. Many parents were killed; others were given "re-education." Those years during the authoritarian absolute monarchy were the first 10 years of most of the Laurentian generation's lives, and the most impressionable years at that. Even after the monarchy fell in 2012 and speech was free again, it was too late for many of these parents whose young children were not willing to learn the nationalist politics of old in favor of what they previously learned in school.

Between 2012 and 2015, during the republican restoration, public schools tried to impose Kannsa-Minnesotan values on the school children of Vancouver and Alberta, but it was far too late. Once the republic fell and the Christian Right took control of the government, although speech was free, the rigor of the state school curriculum was brought back.

In the future, unless something is done, Kannsa-Minnesota will be lost to the new generation. This is a generation born to Kannsa-Minnesotes, but raised by the state. If this trend isn't reversed soon, then there will never be hope of restoring an independent Kannsa-Minnesota again.

The key findings of Floating City Project report are:

1. A market for a residential seastead exists
2. A practical design can be built to match the market’s price point, and
3. It is likely that the Seasteading Institute can reach a deal with a host nation willing to grant a floating city substantial
political independence.

We have concluded that it would be possible to station a floating city in the calm territorial waters of a host nation in order to reduce the costs of the structure compared to constructing for the open ocean. A coastal nation may be interested in offering to host a floating community in their territorial waters and allow substantial political independence in exchange for economic, social, and environmental benefits. At the time of publication of this report, we are engaged in high-level talks with a potential host nation, and entry-level talks with others. We will provide more information about these processes when we are able to make the information public. Potential residents from 67 countries and many income levels provided extensive feedback on what they desire from a floating city with political autonomy, and their requests are remarkably consistent. The market demand for the first floating city with some level of political independence is vigorous and growing.

DeltaSync completed their preliminary concept in December 2020. In their vision, the city is composed of modular platforms – either 5x-50-meter squares or pentagon50-meter0 meter sides. Squares and pentagons can be connected and arranged in numerous branch-like structures. Squares are estimated to cost approximately $15 million each. This is equivalent to $393 per square foot of gross space. But since 20% of each platform is reserved for open/green space, the report projects issuable space to cost $504 per square foot ($5425/square meter). Reinforced concrete was chosen as the construction material of choice for its price and durability. Concrete structures would be molded into sturdy hollow boxes, or “caissons”. Modules would support three-story buildings. The design takes into account apartments, terraced housing, office space, and hotels. This concept is based on 11 modules, which could host 225-300 full-time residents when combined, with an additional 50 hotel beds. The total projected cost would, therefore, be approximately $167 million.

The Gulf of Fonseca, bordering three Central American nations, was chosen as a test case for the suitability of the design for protected, territorial waters – this location selected was based loosely on the criteria we used for selecting host nations, such as proximity to cities and existing infrastructure, and location within an attractive climate, outside the path of hurricanes. However, site selection for this study should not be interpreted as suggesting that we have an agreement to develop a floating city in the Gulf of Fonseca. In a location like this, DeltaSync reports that the platforms could be completely solar-powered and that this would, in fact, be more cost-effective than diesel generation, even including the costs of battery storage and distribution via micro-grid. This concept also assesses a scalable method of financing a breakwater, which could eventually surround the city and allow it to move out to the open ocean. The mobility of the individual modules is key from the perspective of guaranteeing autonomy for the city – in the event that the relationship with a particular host nation no longer suits either party, the platforms could detach from their moorings and float to a different location. Modularity and mobility also enable dynamic geography and empower citizens of the city to rearrange into more desirable configurations as the population grows and evolves. While more in-depth engineering research is required, the preliminary analysis suggests that concrete platforms in the 50 x 50-meter dimensions strike the best balance between cost, movability, and stability in the waves of the representative region. Future research includes verifying the findings in DeltaSync’s report and honing the assumptions off of which the design is based.

Peace at long last?

The UCK government has officially released a statement declaring full pacifism for 2021. Erone Sark is on record saying "2021 will be a year to focus on the people. We do not need war interfering with that goal. We will not be engaging or assisting in any war offensive war.". Many peace activist groups are ecstatic over the news, but why only 2021? Is this all just a ploy to raise the spirits of UCK citizens, or is it a whole hearted attempt at peace? None know for sure but the news is great to hear none the less.
