A bill was put foward to the Reichsparlement last month to change the name of our great capital, Berlin, to Kriegsberg. The bill is currently being discussed in parliament, but nothing is final until the King, Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor approve it. People are having mixed opinions about the change, but most people are happy to increase the national identity.

Diplomatic missions between Prussiaholm and Port Ivar have lead to the Democratic States to join the Allied European Defense Organisation. Chancellor Schmidt and his wife Laura visited Helsinki to officially welcome Port Ivar to the organisation. We got a quote from Vice-Chancellor Schnieder about Port Ivar's membership.

"Port Ivar is one of our neighbours whom we have friendliest relations with, and many Prussiaholmer businesses have opened up in Port Ivar and vice versa, and free trade should increase this kind of business exchange even more so than currently. Why, I think Gike is opening a new store in Helsinki!"

Birth of Two comapnies

Our Glorious Emperor Black just declared the birth of four subsidiary companies for ease of management. The first is a new company, "Sea Trade" which will largely deal with international trade with our 3 cargo ships. Our goal is two find a trade route and trade back and forth between to countries. This will help boost revenue of our glorious Sea Empire to help us make more ships and thus expand our Empire!

The second company is simply a reclassification of Emperor Black's first tourism company. The new name of the company is "Vacation of the Seas" and will be primarily used by our 3rd spare cruise ship. This was his main profit revenue before so besides a small amount of extra revenue change due to change in management.

The third company he announced is "Empire fishery" which will be our two fishing boat selling extra fish that it always has. This one was largely due to the complaint of too much tuna as we have fished extremely large amounts of tuna beyond our eating compacity.

The fourth will be an oil company tapping into the veins of informare and selling it to anyone. Emperor Black has used the remains of his wealth to buy an oil rig company on the verge of bankruptcy. He believes with proper management this rig will thrive. The plus is apparently oil rigs are movable when they aren't drilling so we can keep using this rig until it can't be used anymore!

Our navy is now being trained and should be finished in about a year. This will add 2 military ships and crew to our Empire to protect our ships from potential threats and pirates. Remember if any pirates try to raid you, peacefully capture them if possible and take control of their ships! We need as many ships as possible.

In addition a vacation line and trade has been open in scotland.

New formed bonds

Wonderous news everyone! The Sea Empire has formally partnered with the Wuxing company for Sea Cruises and Sea Trading! After our CEOs talked discussed this grand partnership it was agreed that the Sea Empire will give 25% of earning (related or derived from Waxing company) to Wuxing company as payment! Ships that will be assigned to these trade routes will carry there logo. The primary port that will be used is Vladistocks port. Right now we will designate all 3 of our cargo ships to this trade route as well as our spare cruise ship.

First Executive Order of Lacey Black

After President Black was inaugurated yesterday morning, she has just done the first executive decision to 'release' the Deserto da Costa colony after full support from the cabinet. This move has been met with praise and slight criticism. Everything related to "moving out" (in simpler terms) will be finished by the end of the year.





Black was quoted saying, "We are not doing this because of the NGU pressure. We are doing this because it is the right thing to do."

12/17/2019 Concordia civium, murus urbium Sietsk annexes Astrakhan The former territory of Astrakhan is now part of Sietsk again. Following Vasilev Siekmeshko's death, the regions of South Finland and Astrakhan declared independence. While life continued almost the same, the local governments have been hostile to Sietsk, even though the majority of the population was Sietskian. Today, the Sietskian Army crossed the border of Astrakhan. The soldiers were welcomed by the Sietskians in Volgograd, and there were no casualties. However, some citizens, especially the local government, weren't happy about a reunification, and the people that posed a threat to national security were arrested. Our president, Mikhail Siekmeshko, believes that this annexation is only the first part of a plan to regain the former glory of Sietsk and it's position as a major power. Sietsk and the former states of Nomiconia The situation south of Sietsk seems worrying. After the Nomiconian government has fallen, three governments were quick to come to power, splitting the country. While some sort of cooperation can be seen between these new states, their inability to handle the internal affairs of their territory is dangerous. The western part of Nomiconia is in anarchy, and it doesn't seem to improve. Sietsk urges the three states from the Ukrainian region to begin negotiations for reunification. Sietsk is willing to provide military support and political advice if asked.

A Camel Pageant?

King Hamzah II recently hosted Mashriq's first camel beauty pageant. Yes, you heard that correctly. The event was held just outside the Royal Palace in Baghdad. The camels were rated on 3 categories, running, spitting, and hump size. The final prize for winning was an entire stables, able to hold at least 10 camels at one time.

150 Camels were registered in the event. After about 2 hours it was reduced to just 50 candidates. Sadly our cameraman Mohammad was hit in the eye during the spitting competition, we pray for his speedy recovery. An hour and a half later there were just 5 candidates left, all competing for the number one spot.

The top 5 camels were: Jabril, a rather large camel from the northeastern city of Mosul. Jabril killed it in the spitting and hump size sectors but sadly only did okay in the running. He was the culprit responsible for injuring Cameraman Mohammad. Next up is Aziz the camel. Very fast and spits with premium accuracy. However, he is not very big and didn't do fantastic in the hump size sector. Then there's Bubu, quite an interesting camel. Bubu has a fiery temper but can spit better than any humped mammal you've ever seen. He's quite the fast one too, left Jabril in the dust 3 times. Jaber is just as good a shot as Bubu but has a hump bigger than Panjal's poverty problem. He's not the fastest camel on the Tigris but can outrun Jabril any day. Yakub is the only camel from the Jewish Free State, this camel can RUN. Yakub has outran every camel and goat on the Mediterranean coast and doesn't seem to be stopping. The competition was fierce but only one camel could prove superior. The winning camel was Bubu, he has won the 10 camel stables. The runner up, Yakub has won a special edition Kippah. Jabril has won a goat for coming in 3rd. King Hamzah II hopes to make this an annual thing. Goodbye, and see you next year.

State of Emergency Declared as Rioting Worsens

King Artemis I has just declared the Kingdom of Byzankmoenos to be in a State of Emergency. This declaration comes after over a week of protests across the country.

Ever since Cetus Sicas, a major republican revolutionary, was arrested there has been chaos across the major cites of Byzankomenos. From Ancyra to Smyrna to Neoplolis, thousands have taken to the streets. Both members of the Communist and Republican Revolutionaries marched in protest of his arrest. While the protests were peaceful at first, things became ugly as the King sent the military in to control the protests.

On December 14th things took a turn for the worst. In Ancyra live grenades were through into a crowd of several thousand people. Hundreds were injured. In the resulting chaos, riots gripped Ancyra and beyond. In the week since, police have struggled to maintain order in the major cites of Byzankomenos. Some police and military officials have joined with the protesters and even fired at their fellow officers in an effort to protect the protesters.

Major leaders of the Republican and Communist movements have refused to back down and have called for their members to continue protesting and striking against the monarchy. Nikos Toskas, a major leader for the Republican movement has said that this is a "Necessary response to an oppressive regime." His view is shared among others of the country.

King Artemis I has launched a severe response to the riots. He has already ordered the arrest of several hundred journalists, politicians, and government officials. He has even ordered the shut down of the internet in some regions of the country in order to prevent information from reaching revolutionaries. He has also allowed the troops to "fire at will" on protesters and strikers.

New Alliance in South America

“We will not leave The Miltonia to take advantage of the poorest people on earth” said SG Technologias CEO Santiago Garcia Jr. after hearing news of El Goblino leaving Miltonia for the Kaapbond. SG Technologias has long been a fierce competitor to El Goblino and had been taking more and more market share from El Goblino.

As of 2011 (2031 BS) it was the second largest CPU firm in all of Miltonia. CEO Santiago Garcia seemed happy about the move stating “this shows a level of unconfidence in El Goblino” and that this was an “opportunity to expand” in the miltonian market. Garcia also announced the construction of a factory in Monrovia to “help the more impoverished citizens of Miltonia.” Time will tell what this entails for the two companies.

A Royal Vacation?

King Milton II has announced after his visit to Karnakastan that he will be visiting Hawaii. The official reason for this is to improve trade and political bonds over the pacific but many have said that this is just a cover for him to take a vacation. Many of the hotels he will be staying in are luxury resorts and official meetings are planned to occur with several days between them. The first city the King will be visiting is Hilo, then Wailuku, Pearl City, and finally, Honolulu. Due to all the rumors saying that Milton was only going there for a vacation he made a statement saying “The reason I am going to Hawaii is for political and economic reasons but I will definitely enjoy some leisure time while I’m there.”

Saeed Tousalwa enters race for 2020 CEO election

With the brutal deaths of CEO Sunetra Nitaya, and (former) Acting CEO Gilbert Weinberg, the democratic has had to take a back seat while the new acting CEO, Xiao Nai of the Han Federation, tries to stabilize the region. With the end of the war against the USSS and lack of forseeable conflicts in the future, CEO Xiao declared the climate "suitable to resume protocol."

CEO of Makassar Steel Works, Saeed Tousalwa, quickly submitted his name to the Board Ballot Organization. The young Indonesian entrepreneur is a major real estate magnate in the Nationalist Gold Union (owning over 110 properties) and desires to "implement western standards across the Confederacy." Tousalwa claims that his time in the NGU showed him that dissolving some tradition and freedom for the betterment of the nation often led to happier, healthier citizens. He also seeks to implement a more extractive tax code with stricter enforcement in order to switch the role of the Board from a Foreign Policy body, to a more traditional parliament.

"Its a damn shame that we allow people with little to no education or international experience to serve as a faction Director and implement policy that carries disastrous effects with no repercussions. A simple 0.4% income tax could provide every child in the Confederacy with a standard education, something that at least 85,000,000 youths are unable or unwilling to attain. Critics have attacked his stance on expanding Board power as "self-serving" as it would increase Board revenues and by proxy his salary bound to 0.01% of Board revenue. His credentials have also been attacked by competitors. Tousalwa holds a Bachelors in Finance and Masters in Political Science from the University of Kalimantan, a relatively low ranking university in Borneo. It is rumored that students can purchase entire letter grades with a simple $3 bribe to an administrator. Tousalwa denied the rumors and stated firmly that every success and failure in his life is due to his skill and work ethic. "I take no short cuts. Anything worth doing is worth doing right."

Catholics become out ragged by the forced detainment of Joseph teen boy who shoot up the school. At this point there are roughly 1,200,000 Catholics immigrants alone in informare mainland. Protests rage across the streets in every single city in the mainland.

The Board of Informare, the Board of Representatives, and the Board if Justices all call emergency meeting at the house if board to address this issue. However, 3 of the Justices never made it to the House of Board. Catholics stopped their cars broke the windows and pulled them out before beating up there sinners.

Their deaths unknown to the remaining if the boards, they hastfully reach an agreement. There CEO Mr. Black stepped out to give an emergency speech. In the middle of the first sentence Muslims drove up in front of the house if board screaming "kill the infeldale who disrespects Allah!" And began indiscriminately shooting into the crowd. In this panic the Catholics begin throwing rocks at CEO Mr. Black knocking him out. (Later we know he was crusified hands and feet naked nailed to the way above the entrance to the board house.)

All over informare mainland Catholics teaming up with the Muslims began slaughtering Informarians Sinners who refused to convert. There military was deployed in a desperate attempt to stop this. This plan backfired as this essentially end up supplying the Catholics with military gear and weapons.

With their newly acquired toys they virtually took out the Muslims and hundreds of thousands of sinners before everything calmed down before establishing the church as the new government. Any surviving members of the government (except for a small handful who manage to for to Haiti) ended up being crusified all up and down the streets of the capital.

Expansion

Deconstruction of 1 Tone-class cruiser 6 Kagerō class destroyers have been underway for about the past week. Planes to convert these ships into 20 Fishing ships 7 Cargo ships will commence and 6 passenger ships. Some of the scraps will be stored in preparations to build 10 agricultural ships each being half a kilometer in size. Each ship will take about a half year to a year and a half to construct and will be built in a batch of 3, one each in a different shipyard. With the exception of the Fishing ships which will take 4 to 6 months to construct each. The main focus for this is to expand our company Sea Fisheries.

The 1 Yamato class battleship, 1 Nagato class battleship, 1 Tosa class battleship, will be stripped and turned into new states. They will be turned into magnificent cities. Each ship will take about half a year to complete.

Two Cruise ship routes are now planned in the Carribean going to various cities. They will primarily focus on getting passangers from Standevia, Miltonia, Worris, and Roxia. One cruise ship will be doing round and destination ships from Worris, Miltonia, Standevia to Hawaii. two from Songjiang and to various Mcfreedomstan will be also established.

We has sent a notice to all foreign nations that our ships are in fact considered our territory and anyone on our ships should be considered in the country The Sea Empire. This means anything that happens on my ships is The Sea Empire's sole jurisdiction and will be handled according to our laws. However, the same applies to when anyone steps off the ship and into the foreign country's land. Our Sea People must obey all the laws of that land and face the punishment system of that land if they break them. We emphasize that these rules are the same for any other territory. We emphasized the main difference with our is that our territory is mobile.

Our leader has determined to establish a democracy that each our states, S.S. Duchess of Montrose, S.S. Ladybird, and S.S Droxford, will select one representative to be in the Board Of Representatives to work with the Emporer and the Board with matters related to government and our people. This is to help ensure that our citizens are being treated fairly and human rights remain in our Empire for all time. In addition, the Captions of our three states have been formally declared. For S.S Duchess of Montrose, Morgagana was elected, S.S. Ladybird, Zosku one by a landslide, and in S.S Droxford Zibdi one an extremely close race. The Emperor also now wishes to establish rules and requirements for candidates to run: The first being you must have 1 years of experience on a ship, you must pass a test about the specific ship and general sea skills to prove you have the knowledge, and finally, you must be older than 14 to run.

Our emperor has also created a plan for the schools in our states.


School structure


Elementary school: grades 1- 4. will begin at the age of 3. Our young fish will predominantly learn basic life skills, arithmetic, basic science, critical thinking and community values, and in the later grades be introduced to general information about the inner workings of ships.

Middle school: grades 5 - 7, will be spent on learning computer skills, Math, science, critical thinking, community values, more advanced life skills as well being exposed to various trades, and continuation of the introduction of ships.

High school: grades 8 - 111, will focus heavily on ships in a plethora of areas from maintenance, construction, operations, etc. At least one course of math beyond algebra II will be taught, One science unrelated to ships is required with three sciences related to ships, History (ooc: For rp value this will be according to the Sea Empire and IC no one should really know), and Lifeskills, community values, and critical thinking. About the age of 14 our young fish will graduation school and then they must pass the Sea Trials to become an adult.

All school will have 3 hours a week dedicated to community service, either cleaning, helping to maintain, or other services that benefit our community.

In addition, our emperor declared that all school must be between 3 and 5 days of the week, at least 15 hours a week, and that school is mandatory. Each state will receive roughly $8,250 per student a year. Everything else is to the discretion of the State.



Other laws


• Within 5 miles of a foriegn country's port public anti-nudity laws shall be in place to preven any international incedents from nations who don't condone public nudity.
  
• Recycling, reusing, and reducing waste as much as possible is mandatory both commercially and publically.
  
• Any young fish is required to do some sort of community service for 2 hours on Sunday unless physically unable to.

• This only applies to StatesAny terrorists, war crimes, or rapists will walk the plank and citizenship will be revoked. Stowaways (illegal immigrants without money) will work for food and lodge or at the discretion of the state be forced to walk the plank or be dropped off at the nearest land mass. any stowaways, illegal immigrants, or legal immigrants on our states who break our laws can be forced to walk the plank or be left at the nearest land mass or put in the brig, at the discretion of the state.
  
  
• There will be a payroll tax of 5% on all paying jobs.

​​​Christian Right wins majority in early legislative elections

​In the third annual snap election in a row, sixth election in the past decade, and first election with the new legislative constitutional amendments, the Christian Right party has won a majority in the first National Assembly.

The Christian Right party won 663 of the 1068 seats in the National Assembly, securing a 62% control supermajority. The Confederation party took 405 seats, and due to the 10% election rule, no other parties are taking seats. The New Union Party, deep in a corruption and e-mail leak scandal, has received 0 seats, essentially being wiped off of the entire map.

The way the National Assembly elections work is that registered voters vote for a party list, and depending on the total votes for that party throughout the country, seats are allocated to that party. For every 100,000 for a party, one seat is granted to that party.

As per the amendments passed last year, the Senate becomes the advisory upper house with Commonwealth-appointed non-partisan Senators making up the smaller body. Elections are not held for the Senate any longer.

With the Christian Right having a firm mandate in the new National Assembly, it's expected that Prime Minister Alfred Herbert Page will continue to remain in office.

After the election, Page said, "the Nationalist Gold Union will not be having another snap election for a long time. Our next scheduled election should be on 2024, and nothing in between then."

Vanavoy Embraces D.I.V.E.R.S.I.T.Y.

Vizekönigsführer Abel recently signed the Demographic Improvement in Vanavoy for European Races’ Solidarity with Indigenous and Tribal Youth. Many of the “civilized” African Peoples in White Africa have made complaints about the racist policies of Vanavoy in regards to their kind living in their homeland (European Vanavoy of course). Specifically, mulatto people in the colonies who want to visit their Vaterland. Not wanting to be racist, Vanavoy has Embraced D.I.V.E.R.S.I.T.Y. as the new official race policy in Europe and in Africa. Basically, what D.I.V.E.R.S.I.T.Y. consists of is the mass importation of Blacks into Europe. In addition to this, huge tax credits are given to multiracial couples (especially if they are LGBTQIA+ or if it is a white woman marrying a black man. Of course it doesn’t apply if the man is white because that would be pretty racist.) One colored boy was very excited about this change, when he was interviewed he said:

“Even though I was born here in Africa, I still see Vanavoy as my Vaterland. My grandpa came here way back in 1952 and he was part of the Kaisersoldaten and tried to defend the Empire back in the Socialist Revolution. But anyway my dad was actually 56% German so I think Vanavoian imperial culture is a fundamental part of my and every Afro-Vanavoian’s heritage. It’s so epic that I’m finally able to see where my Volk defended our Empire from foreign invaders.”

Meanwhile in the Third North Congolese War, a recent break in the Nchin-Yeusi Battle Tribe’s left flank has lead to a major encirclement and a major hit to the Battle Tribe’s morale. National Volksheer 01/13/2020 Volksmarine During the brief battle of Bremen the naval forces loyal to the former imperialist duke attempted to scuttle the former navy of the Duchy of Hannover, largely composed of ships from the former Volksreich of Noxtrem. 18 the former Navy's vessels were stopped before they could be taken from the harbor and sunk. 4 vessels were commissioned by the NVH a few months ago, and will be nearing completion in march. Response to the Revolutionaries

My fellow Byzankomenans, a little over a month ago a series of riots began to occur across the country. These riots were in response to the justified arrest of the radical liberal, Cetus Sicas. These riots were terrible and disrupted the peace and stability of our great country. Hundreds were injured during them and hundreds more were killed. Due to this, I have been forced to take extreme measures in order to take care of these so called "revolutionaries".

The first measure I will take has to do with Parliament. During the riots, Parliament refused to pass the necessary measures to stop the rioting. Despite my insistent calls for them to take care of it, they did not. This is largely due to the fact that my predecessor, Constantine II, allowed various liberal and anti-monarch parties to run for office. This has resulted in a very divided Parliament that cannot properly run the country. Due to this, I am using my powers of King of Byzankomenos to officially disband the Parliament. Furthermore, I will be ordering the arrest all 114 members of the so called "Republican Coalition" in the parliament. I will replace parliament with a different legislative body in the coming months.

Another cause of these protests and these riots was the media. King Constantine II allowed a few anti-monarch and liberal newspapers to freely publish their material across Byzankomenos. He believed that this would help make the country more stable and help keep the liberals happy. This was obviously not the case. With this noted, I will be shutting down these newspapers. Along with this, I will be arresting the writers of these newspapers as well. These papers are a threat to our country and must be put under control.

Along with this, I have ordered the Royal Ministry for State Security to hunt down any perpetrators of these riots. They have already identified several thousand of those involved and these threats are being taken cared of. I have also ordered them to ensure that members of the government are indeed loyal. They have already begone searching to ensure that this is the case.

These are only some of the actions I am taking to ensure that this never happens again. I am working heavily with members of the military, RMSS, and other organizations to make sure Byzankomenos is safe. We will make sure this never happens again.

It's been 4 years since Prime Minister Fahri Badawi was elected to serve a second term, Prime Ministers can only serve for two terms. So this election there will be a new Prime Minister no matter what. There are a few large parties in Mashriq that compete for the Prime Minister title, some of these being the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Social Democrats, Conservatives, and the National Republicans. Each party chooses a candidate towards the end of campaigning. When the candidate gets the majority of votes in a certain governorate it counts as one vote, to win the candidate must win 30 governorates or 60% of them. Election day is March 14th, The winning candidate is then inaugurated 2 weeks later on March 28th.

The other election taking place is the National Assembly elections. These take place every 5 years. Parties compete for the Assembly's 300 seats. Each delegate represents a governorate, each one of the 50 governorates get 6 representatives. The delegates are elected through a governorate wide vote, this vote will take place a week after the Prime Minister election, on March 21st.

State Recoignition of Noxtremian/Hanoverian Socialist State

January 19, 2020

The Imperial European Territories of the Crown of Vanavoy have decided to recognize the new state which has risen from the ruins of the Hanoverian Duchy. Imperial Viceroy Abel, acting as Governor of Paul Philip I (IV)'s European Territories, has declared that he believes improving relations with this nation is necessary if Vanavoy wants to reconcile with Noxtremians after completely destroying the old Noxtremian nation. Going a step further, Abel has made an offer to open up diplomacy between the two countries, hoping to form an alliance of some sort. Believing King August Krieger to be of unsound mind, Abel has made very clear that to defend against the possibility of an insane monarch going rogue and attempting to strike at Vanavoy, new alliances must be made:

"Although we are currently in a state of Personal Union under Paul Philip, it would be irresponsible to rely on the NGU defending us if something comes up with this deranged Krieger guy. I'll say it right now, I don't trust him, something about him is just... off. I mean, the guy renamed Berlin to Kriegsberg and if that's not a sign of madness then I don't know what is. In addition, the government of Prussiaholm has taken obvious aggressive actions to attempt to intimidate us. There is no way they can hide that the true intentions behind their infrastructural expansion in the west are to facilitate the movement of troops to areas closer to Vanavoy. It's for these reasons that we must reconcile with this new Noxtremian government in Hannover and assume a defensive diplomatic position towards Prussiaholm."

Abel has already announced a complete apathy towards the type of government the Noxtremians choose, aiming for a more pragmatic rather than ideological stance. Due to this policy, Vanavoy will not challenge the policies or political practices of Noxtrem under any circumstances, whether they be socialist, royalist, fascist, et cetera. As a display of friendship, Vanavoy has offered to send a division of African 'volunteers' to help Noxtrem defend itself.

January 19, 2020 Public Release: State Recognition of the People's Republic of Noxtrem Following the decisions taken by the Governor of the Imperial European Territories of the Crown of Vanavoy to recognize the new Noxtremian state, the Nationalist Gold Union no longer has any legitimate reason to withhold recognition of the People's Republic of Noxtrem. The Nationalist Gold Union sees it in no way a responsibility to intervene or influence European politics in a way that would bring further instability to the region, and therefore will be granting diplomatic recognition to the new and victorious state. Additionally, the Nationalist Gold Union agrees with the Vanavoian governor's position of apathy towards the type of government in place in Noxtrem, provided that they do not pose a danger to the security of the Union. The Nationalist Gold Union will be extending an offer to Noxtrem to re-open embassies and hopefully have an official state visit sometime in the future. The Hannoverian Workers' Weekly Paper, January 19th, 2020 Foreign Minster Marten Lays Out New Foreign Policy Direction, Consumer Goods Market Grows As Expected Yesterday, some of the worlds greatest hives of anti-revolutionary activity seemed to change course. Vanavoy and the NGU both acknowledged our nation, and are offering an open diplomatic forum for our nation. This change goes on to show the versatility of socialist diplomacy and our resolve, even in the face of extreme conflict. Foreign Minister Gertrude Marten, head diplomat for our Ministerium für Auswärtige Angelegenheiten, provided this statement this morning: This is an amazing turn of events, it is the belief of our government that world revolution must be achieved by logical and strategic means.
