President Hussain Abdulabbas passes Executive Order 1480-0 "Prevention of Criminal Entry into Nunavutialand".

1480-0 bars Ingalian leader Javier Rosalva from Nunavutialand permanently. Ingalian refugees which have fled to Nunavutialand have been granted residency permission by the Vice President and are under the guard of the JSD.
Rosalva was tried in absentia by the Supreme Court of Nunavutialand, where he was sentenced to death in absentia.

Abdulabbas has condemned the massacre of 20,000 Ingalians in horrific ways.
The ESD has compiled a list of people who took part in the massacre, who have all been banned from Nunavutialand. They will not be informed as when they step on Nunavutian soil they will be arrested.
In response the communist massacre, all Nunavutian diplomats have been withdrawn from Ingalia and Ingalian diplomats in Anvindr have been expelled.

Due to the Ingalian communist revolution, a communist protest in Bridgecross was dispersed with tear gas. We will not tolerate any sympathisers with the totalitarian inhumane regime in Ingalia.

NunavutianTelecommunications-Riviera, NTR for short is Nunavutialand's largest broadband/mobile data/telecoms company. Originally, Riviera and NunavutianTelecommunications were two separate companies, with Riviera offering broadband while NunTel offered telecoms and mobile data.
After NunTel merged with Riviera, NTR has taken 74% of the market share.
The company's research and development division, NTR Volta managed to reach an internet speed of 1.6 petabits per second. Achieved at the Riviera Tower in central Anvindr, NTR Volta has said that speeds like this could be released in as soon as 5 years.

President Abdulabbas has founded the Organised Crime Prevention Agency, or OCPA for short. Aimed at reducing the workload of the ISD so it can focus on more important tasks, OCPA will be part of the JSD and National Police.

Gurdukan extremist group Nunavutian Gurdukan Dawn, NGD for short, is an illegal terrorist group proscribed under the 2018 revision of the Terrorism Act.

Nonetheless, the NGD exists and recently a raid conducted by OCPA proved just that. 7 people were arrested of which 5 were Ingalian.
Emily Gordon, leader of the far right Nunavutia First party has pledged that if she is elected, she will ban all Gurdukans from entering Nunavutialand.

In response to growing support for Nunavutia First, President Abdulabbas has stated that he will ramp up the Nunavutian military presence in the Nebris Sea to pressure Ingalia to act against these terror groups.
Vice-President Liam Dotnet has invited Protacan, Ostralian and Benovoumese diplomats to Anvindr to discuss a joint intelligence/police service. Dotnet says that this organisation he proposes, titled Unipol.

Amir Qureshi Abbas, General of the Anviri Imperial Army, is fired by President Abdulabbas on suspicion of corruption.
General Abbas, who is at the time on a trip to Port Harvek, immediately flies back to Nunavutialand on a Nunavutian Airways flight to Anvindr.

Fearful of Abbas' return, President Abdulabbas closes all airports in the countries and orders military vehicles to block the runway in order to prevent Abbas' plane landing, even though it does not have enough fuel to land in another nation, and has 213 other passengers aboard.

Consequently, military officers rebel and the President is placed under arrest. General Abbas' aircraft lands, and Amir Abbas seizes control of the nation, and makes a televised address :
"For too long, has the Anviri Republic of Nunavutialand been oppressed by the unjust and corrupt rule of so called democratic leaders. They have stolen your taxes to buy hundreds of supercars and homes in Tartarus and pertahanan. Why shall we continue to be ruled by men and women like this? No. I will change the nation for the better. Let us not dwell on the needs of foreigners, but continue to advance our nation in the correct path. As of this moment, the Constitution of Nunavutialand, the Novum Infinius, is suspended indefinitely. The Imperial Parliament, Provincial Parliament, District Assembly and National People's Assembly are all dissolved indefinitely. I declare martial law in the Anvindr Capital Province, the Province of Winterburg, the Province of Bridgecross, the Province of Southern Nunavutialand, the Province of Newstead-Harvek and the Federal Nebris Ocean Province. I guarantee that all those who have been corrupt in the past will be arrested and justice shall be served. An indefinite state of emergency has been declared for all previously mentioned provinces. Thank you. May the nation continue to flourish. Move Forward."

President Abdulabbas is sentenced to death for treason. His family, who have fled to the Protacan, have pleaded for foreign nations to take Abdulabbas so that he is instead exiled.
Amir Qureshi Abbas declares himself Chancellor of Nunavutialand, and gives himself complete authority, the role now akin to a dictator. Elections have been indefinitely postponed.
Vice President Dotnet fled to the Protacan and has asked for political asylum, citing that if he is sent back to Nunavutialand he will likely be sentenced to death.
14,500 members of the ruling advance.nv party have been arrested.

A strange future awaits the nation.

Anti-Abbas protests have erupted across the country. A majority of these protests descended into chaos after military forces killed nearly every protester with tanks. The remainder of protesters were arrested.

Abbas allows ex-President Abdulabbas to flee to the Protacan. However, his flight is shot down over the Nebris Sea, in Protacan airspace.

Violence in Ingalia has slowed to a minimum as the last few corpratist rebels were defeated and their last leaders executed.
Now The government has announced a repair period, with the intent of repairing infastructure, stabilizing the nation, and seizing control of Ingalias industries.

After Ex-President Abdulabbas' plane was shot down over the Nebris Sea, in Protacan airspace, Chancellor Amir Abbas was shocked.
He did not order the attack. Someone with power in his administration did.
That person was Chief of Aerial Defence, Michael DeAston.

However, the Chancellor, not aware of this treachery, a crime of treason under Nunavutian law, orders the ISD to investigate. DeAston bribes ISD Director Felix Waring to drop the investigation.
"There is insufficient evidence to determine the person who orchestrated the downing of Flight 3. The Internal Security Department hereby closes this investigation." reads the report.
But corruption is an offense that punishes both the perpetrators and those who know about it. One of those who know about it is ISD officer Milo Newell, a 29 year old computer specialist.
Newell accidentally came across letters between Michael DeAston and Felix Waring while trying to recover lost data.
The files, in a folder titled "FUNDING_2018.level5" is saved to a micro SD card, which Newell hides in a deodorant can.

Milo Newell exits the country from Bridgecross on Protacan Airlines flight 283 to pertahanan. Upon arrival he makes his way to a hotel and meets two journalists from the independent news network, INBC. These journalists are Anne Cardyf and Michael Brandt.
He quickly completes an interview. By this time, the ISD knows he has stolen data and the ESD is right on his tail. Unknown to Protacan police, 15 vehicles belonging to the External Security Department of Nunavutialand are waiting outside the Marian Hotel. Newell, Brandt and Cardyf all see the vehicles, suspecting them being ESD. They make their way out the back exit, with Cardyf and Brandt taking taxis to the INBC offices, and Newell heading to the Ingalian embassy, asking for asylum. (OOC - Protacan, please put Newell on your most wanted list and Ingalia please let him stay in your embassy).
ESD operatives attempt to follow Newell's taxi, but the sheer scale of traffic in pertahanan separates them from him. Milo Newell publishes all data to Politileaks, an anonymous network aiming to make governments more open. Politileaks' founder, Timothy Brandt is serving 15 years for tax evasion, money laundering and misuse of computer systems. Brandt has strongly denied all charges against him, and his imprisonment has been condemned by human rights NGO, Rights Watch and others.

With the data available for the world to see on Politileaks, Chancellor Abbas attempts to fire Michael DeAston and Felix Waring.
Waring orders the arrest of Abbas for treason. DeAston, meanwhile, following the arrest and imprisonment of Abbas, orders the assassination of Felix Waring, which is successful.
Following this, Michael DeAston declares himself State General, a role akin to an Emperor. Amir Abbas is executed for treason.

Leader of anti-Abbas pro-Democracy group Nunavutian Democratic Movement, Amina Yousef flees to the Ingalian embassy in Anvindr (OOC - Ingalia plz let her stay here and protect her) and requests asylum. DeAston issues an arrest warrant for Yousef.

We allow Amina Yousef to stay and grant her and her extended family citizenship. We prefer democratics over reactionaries like the ones that took over Nunavutialand.
We encourage leftists in Nunavutialand to stay strong and continue to spread their views.

Michael DeAston passes Executive Order 03042018 "National Internal Safety Order".
This Order bans support of groups opposing the government. Groups such as the Nunavutian Democratic Movement are therefore outlawed.
It also closes the borders and bars Nunavutians from exiting the nation. DeAston orders the immediate resumption of nuclear warhead development, which was halted in 1986 under Richard Brusfeldt's government.

Members of the NDM, after gaining knowledge on the Executive Order prior to its invoking, fled to the Protacan, Ingalia, Clicktopia and Exsupero, all bound for Ingalia where they hope to find a safe haven due to their leftist views. DeAston has ordered the execution of all NDM members, with those who have fled sentenced to death in absentia.

In response to Nunavutian Nuclear rearment, Ingalia also starts a nuclear arms program.

State General DeAston calls Ingalia a "terrible so-called nation ruled by people who think communism is a system that works". He, after Ingalia accepts leftist refugees, revokes the Nunavutian citizenship of 7,800 dual nationals of Ingalia, and deports them.

In response to the dictatorial rule, former member of Division 2, the elite, classified and highly dangerous espionage division of the military, Shinzo Hakai founds the National Freedom and Democratic Mandate Army, Nafdema for short.

Nafdema gains a massive amount of support in rural areas, mountainous regions and New Harvek. It has an army of 112,000 now, compared to DeAston's 563,000.

Ingalia announces its support for Nafdema, and recognizes them as the proper Nunavutian Government.
Over 34,630 Nunavutian Leftists have been rescued and granted permanent residence in Ingalia.

Meanwhile, economic recovery is in full swing, and factories, now nationalized, chug back to life, now full with liberated workers.

Nafdema begins the First Demokratiskrig, a series of bombings, riots and protests in order to pressure DeAston to resign, or to usurp power from him.
The first bombing takes place after a Colonel Andrew Crayford, a Nafdema sympathiser, plants a time bomb in the Anvindr Imperial Palace, home of the State General.
It detonates at 11:21am on Sunday 8 May.
12 people die, one of which being DeAston's 14 year old son (but extremely hated due to him being spoilt and ordering soldiers to kill anybody who annoys him), Thomas Philip DeAston.
A further 122 are injured, mostly tourists outside the palace injured by shrapnel and debris.

Another bombing takes place in Anvindr's Business District, where 3 million people go to work every day from across the country regardless of the political situation.
The truck bomb kills a stunning 3,488 people, and injures more than 20,000. The stampede caused kills a further 844 people.

The amount dead far surpasses any previous terrorist attack in the world by the death toll.
The truck was rammed into the Anvindr Grand Centrale Station, at its most crowded time, and then the bomb was detonated. The truck contained fuel which also set on fire.
Thus the station collapsed onto the metro lines below, killing even more.

Now, the entirety of Anvindr has come to a standstill.
"We will fight back with our entire military force. NAFDEMA does not stand a chance."
So it begins.

SOAS is a Militaristic and Authoritarian country (prussian-like), located across the Ocean from Nunavutialand, In old Nebrian lands.
It is lead by Otto Hall and a collection of other authorities.
It's people are ethnically a mix of Nebrian and Nunavutian, and are fiercely patriotic.
SOAS has a decent sized and well-maintained military, with a large portion of national funds being spent on Military.
SOAS has a decent economy, with a large industrial base and massive mining industry.

Troops have begun reclaiming land taken by Nafdema, but faced with fierce resistance from the pro-Democracy forces, they make little gains other than liberating the coast.

Nafdema sympathisers in Winterburg, 25 year old Richard Erwin and 19 year old Troy Adams stab 3 people in the city centre before being arrested by members of the ISD. The 3 who were stabbed have no life changing injuries, but Adams and Erwin could face the death penalty.
