Civil War in Luxembourg-Bavaria (IC: Closed)

[Malakor V]

As the sun rises over Bavaria, the glistening hulls of a dozen military aircraft grows nearer to the city of Ingolstadt. As each successive aircraft lands, soldiers, tanks, and other supplies come pouring out onto the airfield. Numbering 10,000 elite infantry and 100 super-tanks, the detachment of the Malakorian Army, lead by general Issac Krym, go to meet up with their allies from the Dark Panther.

Augsburg Military Airport, Sunday, 10:00.

Most of the men were exhausted. Their travel to Bavaria was very uncomfortable. Most pilots had never taken part in such an operation, and the soldiers weren't used to the bulky C-130 aeroplanes. The triep was generally noisy and unrelaxing. The men had been assigned to their barracks alongside the airport. They had to be fully fit for their future operations. Most of them were very excited. They hadn't seen any of this kind of combat before.

Officers gathered their men, and the many companies of the Limburgs Expeditonary Force (LEF) in Bavaria split off into seperate rooms, where army chaplains held catholic mass. It was a good, relaxing time, where some soldiers did miss their families, but felt no remorse due to the fact that they all knew that what they were doing here and now was for the sake of good. This battle that they'd fight in Bavaria was a deeply moral one. As the chaplains closed down their masses consecutively, the men started unloading the CV90s and Leopards from the cargo. Chinooks passed over their heads, doing simple excercizes and scanning the area. The army had rationed the men some beer and fine meat, to celebrate their arrivals. It was a good day.

Limburgs troops have arrived in Augsburg, and are getting ready to be deployed in suburban areas and frontlines across Bavaria.

At 1130, General Krym ordered the First Regiment, consisting of 1000 men and 10 super-tanks, east to the town of Regensberg, where they have deployed a secondary command center.

1:52 PM, Marxist-Nationalist Border


A patrol of Brigade troops tentatively cross over into nationalist territory. 100 men, ready to die for each other and their cause.

2:00 PM, unnamed border town

As the Marxist soldiers reach the furthest spot in their patrol, they are astonished to see Nationalist militia cleaning their rifles among the houses and streets. In disbelief, the two sides stare at each other.

The standoff continues for a painfully long minute. Then, a shot rings out.

A Nationalist trooper drops dead, shot through the head. He will become the first death in the Fourth Bavarian Civil War.

The two sides charge at each other, screaming a guttural war cry. Before they meet in melee, the Marxist soldiers drop in a crouch and begin firing. This display of ruthlessness drives the militia back. The Marxist troops begin their advance.

As the Nationalist troops retreat and call for support, a Marxist soldier wielding an RPG fires off a rocket at the nearest building. The direct hit ignites several oil barrels left out in the streets. Many militiamen die horrible deaths, burned alive and buried.

Nationalist sharpshooters enact revenge on the exposed Brigade soldiers, downing several of them, and driving the rest under cover.

For an hour, the two sides exchange shots back and forth. Then, a Nationalist relief force, about 300 strong, arrive in the city. Revived by this turn of events, the Nationalists launch an assault on the Brigade-held city outskirts. In the midst of this attack, the Marxists reveal what they have been doing during the exchange of fire. Two heavy machine guns are brought up by the patrol's engineers. They quickly open fire on the exposed Nationalist troops, and force them back into the city.

Finally, the Marxist force goes on the offensive, driving the exhausted militia out of the city.

As they retreat, no shots are fired at them, as the Brigade instantly begins building fortifications to guard against the inevitable counter-attack. A column of 5,500 Brigade regulars are also marching their way towards them. This conflict marks the first battle of the war, as well as its first casualties.

Another soldier wearing a army helmet with jackanian cross painted on the left side of his helmet came up to the commander. He said "What's happened sir."

"Damn commies, attacked our little friends over in some shithole town somewhere near the border between here and what used to be Nazi-land" Replied the commander.

"So...what now sir?"

"send an AFV and 20 troops. let's give em a little teaser of what's to come if they don't fuck off back behind the iron curtain."

"Right away...sir..."

By this time the Airport had been closed to civilians by the Military and fortified heavily.
This would be the primary Stronghold for the Government forces.

"Who the hell are those bastards" said the commander.

A soldier with a beard and a visor helmet came up to him and said "Appears to be the Lethen empire."

"Oh no, not those fuckers. Can't the Jupiter pact stay out of this shit?" Replied the commander.

"They're here to help us you ungrateful bastard."

"Fine, I'll meet them with a positive attitude."

The commander got off the box he was sitting on walked off to the Lethen troops.

"Hello there, see you've come here to help us take down those red's. May the best man win!"

3:28, Marxist-controlled border town

The beleaguered Marxist troops cheered wildly, as the relief force of 5,500 regulars marched into the town.

Adding to the force was 10 heavy tanks, and a new squadron of engineers, carrying a shipment of arms and ammunition.


Any attempt to seize the town will surely be bloody.

0900 Hours, Nuremberg IA

Several groups of soldiers sat before their commander, awaiting orders. The older man pulled out a carton of cigars, taking one out and igniting it with a small inhale. He exhaled a plume of smoke before finally speaking.

"Alright men. The situation has escalated. That's why I'm sending all of you in before the main force." He muttered softly. "11ETF, I'm sending you to a small village where Nationalist forces have been engaged by Marxist forces. Assist in preparations for the counterattack and destroy key positions if necessary. 20RTF, I'm sending you into Bavarian Territory. Your task is simple, scout enemy strong points and destroy vital communications."

All of the soldiers nodded and stood, saluting their commander before leaving for their vehicles.

The soldiers burrowed into Humvees and Jeeps, the Great White Star flying proudly on their hoods as they hurried drove out of the airport.

100 11ETF Special Forces soon arrived upon the retreating Nationalist forces, letting them pile into the extra spaces on their vehicles in order to give them a safe retreat.

50 20RTF Special Forces deployed along the Bavarian border, hiding amidst the shadows of the woodlands that surrounded the towns and cities. Before anyone could notice them, the Recon Spec Ops disappeared across the border.

21:00, Danube Estuary, nationalist-bavarian border
The silenced noise of engines clogged the sky, with light tanks providing vital reconnaisance for the governmental troops. A young lieutenant, Frans Berckens, would be working his radio, trying to talk to his company commander. His captain was still in Augsburg, sitting there with a headache due to the constant radio activity of the spastic troops eager to prove themselves. As the group of four tanks, a fennek, a fuchs and two bushmasters carrying two recce squads. Because of his ambitions, he was thrilled with excitement to finally lead such a combat patrol. As the camouflaged line of light vehicles rode through the dark woodlands, Berckens kept an eye for anything that moved. As he squinted his eyes, he looked around and-

Did he see something?
Was that a squirrel or something?
He looked around, trying to find anyone else, or any other movements.
Nothing. Complete silence.
Berckens was unsure of what to do. Should he radio it in, or continue with the recon task?

To protect itself from attacks, some reconnaisance groups have already gotten the order to scout around. Due to a lack of military experience, most of the initial recon troops fail their objectives. The American Eastern States Spec Ops/recon aren't detected by the LEF.

13:00; Government ammunition depot, near the Marxist border

A man in a dark trench coat places several, small metallic devices against the walls of a huge building. They are the last of almost three dozen he has already placed, all the while being careful not to be noticed by government troops. This building is a key asset to the Bavarian army, manufacturing and storing several tons of armaments, ammunition, and other supplies. The man walks several blocks down the street, and then flips a switch on a small, black box. Instantly, a bright flash, followed by a thundering boom. The once massive structure now lies in ruins, swarming in fire and ash. As the man left the seen of the crime, he smiled to himself, and looked at the Marxist insignia stamped onto his palm.

BREAKING! Weapons Depot DESTROYED. Marxist sympathizer suspected.

19:30

The AFV cruised down the road, spraying mud to it's sides. Inside the vehicle were a total of 20 soldiers in various areas. After some time it arrived at the town that had been taken. It started to fire upon the enemy troops before they could even react as the troop's exited out of the back. Meanwhile, a Marxist soldier fired a RPG at the AFV but it only just dented the rear left side. The Jackanian troops began to get overwhelmed as they headed back into the AFV as it speed away. It didn't get very far before a RPG slamed into the rear and caused the whole thing to go up in smoke and flames.

After landing their troops Andsed sent around 900 infantry with 5 light tanks and 5 heavy tanks to the town that fighting was happening. The rest of their force began fortifying their location,

Once the small attack force was taken out, requested artillery pieces, three 80mm, were deployed on the outskirts facing the Nationalist front.

In the town square, the Luxembourgian flag is ablaze atop a massive bonfire. Some civilians cheer, others show their disgust, but as of now, the red hammer and sickle looms above the streets.

The Limburgs government, and Theo Bovens personally, show their gratitude for the sacrifice of the Bavarian people, and pledge to support them through thick and thin. They mourn the innocents who were killed in the bolschevik attack, and try to raise awareness about marxist barbarism.

Limburg sends the Bavarian 3 million Limburgse Mark, partially government funds, partially charity given by Limburgs civilians to help the Bavarians. This money was raised to rebuild the ammo factory and give the Bavarian citizens work, but the government can also invest it in something else.

20:10; Marxist controlled town

"Sir, we have spotted enemy forces, 2 miles out."

"What are their numbers?"

"We're not sure, but we estimate nearly 1000 infantry, and a dozen tanks of varying types."

"Mobilize our forces to the outskirts, and start shelling them with our artillery."

"Very good sir. I'll relay your orders immediately."

Nearly 3000 Brigade troops, along with 20 tanks, have mobilized into a defensive line facing the advancing front. Shells are being loaded into the artillery and are being aimed towards the enemy.

Jackanian forces send 6 AFV's, 2 tanks and 480 troops to join with nationalists and attack the Marxists.

2200 Hours, Bavarian woodlands, 1 mile from Border

Two squads of 20RTF slowly made their way to a small Bavarian camp in the woodlands. The stopped to look at what they were dealing with.

"Small force. Six people... We outnumber them..." muttered a spotter, looking through the scope of his rifle.

The camp in question was small but held an important objective for AES forces, a radio station. One of the key stations that would assist the border in communication invasions from the flanks. None of the Bavarian soldiers seemed to notice that guns were drawn on each member of the camp.

"All fire... Three... Two... One..."

Several silenced shots rang out as bullets slammed into the camp guards. Three men fell to the ground dead, while the remaining three dropped in pain. They were no threat to the Easterners, but they still needed to be silenced. The RTF slowly trudged into camp, executing the remaining soldiers to prevent word from reaching out.

After several moments, the RTF soldiers surrounded around the communication station and began to set up explosives.

They left as quickly as they left, and only a few seconds after their departure an explosion rang out through the woodlands.

Marxist controlled town of Dunberg (Somebody had to name it, pretty much everything has happened there so far)

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The huge guns fired simultaneously towards the advancing Andsed and Jackanian forces. One hits a light tank dead center, killing everyone inside. Another lands right in front of an AFV, causing a huge crater to form. The driver can only begin to swerve before the front wheels plunge into the ditch, killing the driver and trapping the other troops.

[Grand Unionata]

A squad of USF(Union Special Forces) came upon the station's ruins.

A call for reinforcements was sent out, and Unionist troops were sent to guard every key comm station and outpost.

Additionally, 5,000 Union soldiers, 25 medium tanks, and 5 pieces of artillery were sent to cover the gap in communication created by the attack.
