Date: The Fifth Month of 1110 WE
Location: The docks of Kotan Sikanna, Mokranshi

Menkush directed the dock workers onto the karvi, watching as they unloaded the supplies into the lower deck of the ship. Off on the dockside, several of the settlers were counting their personal effects and packing them away in preparation for the voyage. He breathed in the crisp cold air and sighed. A shout from behind disturbed his concentration. 'Hey, you! The one with the braids!' Monkish turned around to face a gruff looking homigor with nubby horns and short snowy hair.
'What in Mulcarn's name is going on here? Who are you and what gave you the authority to order my workers around?'
Menkush responded diplomatically. 'My name in Menkush, formerly of Kotan Timur. My authority comes from Farseer Resak.' He produced a parchment of runes, marked with the seal of the Farseer. The dock master took the paper and looked it over with a harsh expression. When he was done, he rolled it back up and introduced himself. 'Naqor Sikanna, dock master of Kotan Sikanna. So, Menkush, why exactly are you loading up two karvi full of settlers and supplies?'
'I mean to found a new settlement.'
'And you can't bother to trot the distance on hoof? If I recall correctly, Kotan Timur isn't too far from the north coast.'
'I'm not settling the north coast. I'm sailing across the Frozen Sea and settling Mulcarnai Mosir.'
'Mulcarnai Mosir?' Naqor looked at the shaman skeptically. 'Only hunters and madmen go that far north. Since you don't seem to have much in the way of hunting equipment, I'm assuming you're the latter?'
'Far from it, dock master. They say no civilization has ever ruled over the far north. Mokranshi is in a ripe position to be the first. We have the means and the ways to do so, and my people and I shall be at the forefront of this sacred quest. The timing couldn't be better. The warm season approaching and the icebergs are thinning, so navigating the sea will be far safer. With the resources at our disposal and the blessing of the Farseer, we will establish Kotan Aurora and carve out Mokranshi's claim on the far north.'
The dock master paused. '...Kotan Aurora? You're naming your new tribe Aurora? Well, you truly are a madman. Still, you have the Farseer's blessing and the ships to take you there, so I can't really stop you. If you wish to throw yourself and your followers headlong into an a desolate wasteland, that's your choice.'
'It is not my choice. It is the will of Mulcarn.'
'...right. Well, enjoy your voyage.'

A few days later...
Menkush stood at the prow of the North Wind, facing the crew and settlers of his ship and the Icebreaker. A hundred faces looked upon him with a mixture of fear, uncertainty, and above all, hope. He took a deep breath and began to address the congregation.
'Children of Mulcarn! Today, we begin our voyage to the far north! We shall sail across the Frozen Sea and land on the soil of Mulcarnai Mosir. We will plant the flag of Mokranshi in the dirt and we will stake our claim, the first of many! This journey will not be easy. We will face hardships beyond reckoning. We will face dangers the people of Mokranshi and the south could only dream of. And yet still, we will come out triumphant, for such is the will of Mulcarn! A hundred years from now, when we have left this world, the people will sing of our breakers and our discoveries. We will be hailed as the pioneers of a new age! Now, hoist the anchors! It's time to write history!'
The crowd slowly but surely erupted into cheers as the crew foisted the anchors from the depths. The sails of the North Wind and the Icebreaker unfurled and caught the wind as the ship left dock. The two ships sailed off into the open ocean, bound for the far north and an uncertain future.

Yaqul'azraq Accord

Postby Aeternaea » Mon Feb 12, 2018 8:06 am

Following the events of the Winter Gala, and the signing of the documents that officially established the Yaqul'azraq accord, in which Ulskar, Sannerby-Annestad, and Aeternaea entered into a formal agreement, Great Lord Kae'Kar'Dea immediately took action and send letters out to the varius nations that would fit within the accord. The accord was established in order to create an organisation of like-minded nations who would value the pursuits of science over magic. As such, several nations were reached out to;

The United Kingdom of Ferelden
The Kingdom of Anfeald
The Principality of Feningars
The High Kingdom of Seclen

Of the nations that were approached, all responded favourably, and had agreed to join the accord as honoured members. With this, the establishment of the accord became official, and its three founding members became its leaders. The treaty is simple; an agreement to protect one another from any interference from magical nations. No nation shall surrender and sovereignty or rights, and the leaders are bound to protect their spheres.

With the official establishment of the accord, Great Lord Kae'Kar'Dea sent a letter to the heartlands... he eagerly awaited a response, but the one he got was more than he expected...

No longer considered accurate.

Fengari migrants moving to neighboring nations

Postby Feningars » Wed Feb 14, 2018 3:28 pm

Throughout the First 4 months of the year 1110 WE.

It is notable that there has been a larger amount of Fengari migrants that reside in the southern coast of the Kingdom of Ferelden. It is a high possibility that many of them are recently moving due to more economic opportunities. Also, agriculture is believed to be a reason for these migrants. Many also reside on the Isles of Ontie (off the southern coast of Ferelden).

Feningars has not spoken out about this, and have not showed to much fear or interest in this issue, as there has always been a minority of Fengari people along the borders, and likewise with immigrants of Ferelden living on the borders of the two nations. This is likely not going to cause any diplomatic tensions, as both the nations have a neutral outlook upon one another, and do not have any past issues.

Albionican Chronicle - Spring 448 AF

Postby Feudal Albionica » Tue Nov 06, 2018 3:07 pm

Excerpts from the Albionican Chronicle, Written by the Witan in the Spring of 448 After Foundation

The King did call a muster of the fighting men of the Kingdom and did award currency to those that proved their ability to fight as archer or footman. The levy roll does report a figure of eighteen thousands of fighting men. Eight thousands of these are archers, Eight thousands are footmen and two thousands fight on horse but are not knights or squires. These fighting men are a sound mixture of knaves and yeomen and may be divided for military purpose. Of these eighteen thousands, three hundred are deemed possible mages.

The quadrennial book does report a new record high in surplus manpower. Two millions of adult men are recorded. The book allows for the taxation of twenty shillings per household per annum. Also provided are reserve fighting men of seventy thousands in strength and a vast surplus of production and agricultural labour.

The King's navy has remained unexpanded for the third spring running. The Witan did call for the increase of navy funding from thirty thousand golden pounds per annum to forty thousand per annum. The King did agree to augment his ships with the newest of technologies and seafaring innovations for the defence of the realm.

A force of many pirates did land at Yorkcliffe. They did attempt with hearty effort to take and sack the monastery outside of that town but the King's soldiers in Yorkcliffe did sally forth and drive them back into the sea. Eighty yeomen were hurt and twenty ships were captured with their crews.
