Azerbaijstani Army checkpoint

President Ali Qassimov signed Presidential Command No.11734 before Parliament. The signing of this order was the signing of the death warrant of 93 people including teachers, religious leaders, judges, community leaders, parliament members, and army commanders. The military was deployed on his orders to set up checkpoints on all major highways to arrest the wanted the army was authorized to search cars and check IDs as well as arrest suspects. After President Qassimov signed the order he lit a cigar and began to read out all 93 names on the list. As he read the names several Parliament members were handcuffed by armed guards and escorted out.

Ayatollah Ibrahimov is considered a wanted terrorist in Azerbaijstan who currently lives in Iraq he has incited violence and riots in the country and his videos and works are banned. He spoke about the purges in his home country.

PURGES DAY 2

Banker of an opposition Parliament member being arrested

After arrested 45 of the 93 listed people plus an additional 78 non-listed but affiliated indivudals the Azerbaijstani government is still looking for the remaining listed members all land borders are currently closed for outgoing traffic and the Baku International Airport is currently canceling all flights and the Baku port authority is not allowing ships in or out and all rails have been closed.

President General Qassimov told Parliament today he wishes to pursue the death penalty on all captured suspects via hanging and he wishes to televise at least 3 of the executions to serve as a warning he also told Parliament on National Television that any of the remaining who turn themselves in will be shown mercy and be spared from execution.

Purges Day 3

Former Army Officer on his way to being hung

Jafar Nazariyev a former Army officer was arrested yesterday for alleged ties to Iranian officals as well as inciting radical beliefs among his men. After Ayatollah Ibrahimov incited the military to rebel his superiors along with his men noticed he reacted postively he also allegedly told his men that when he heard his name on this list of 93 he told them he was going to kill other army members, he ran away from the base stealing weapons and tried to escape to Iran.

He was hung today after a trial were he was found guilty of Terrorism, Treason, Desertion, and Stealing Government Property.
