A formal invitation to a Diplomatic congress hosted in the Capital city of Rapanatcha, Rhodia, has been issued to the Leader of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The talk would be about cooperation as neighbors and possible talk of defensive agrement. New trade policy to facilitate trade between the northern Nation are also on the table.

The Government of Sweden accepts the proposal.

Prime Minister Per Alvin Hasson entered the King's study with serious trepidation. Why His Majesty had summoned him he did not know. His heart sank as he saw Gustav's grim face.
"Your Majesty...."
" Prime Minister. Thank you for coming."
Gustav cleaned his glasses. Then he spoke.
"Prime Minister, the degrading situation across the world has convinced me that Sweden can no longer afford to be complacent, happy to sit back and watch the world go by. We must be proactive, able and willing to step in and do what we must. I do not believe we can do that with a Prime Minister who so firmly believes in Neutrality. As such, you are relived of your duties."
Hasson gaped at him. "You cannot do that. This is a democracy!"
"Not if we allow Communism to take over."
Hasson shook his head. "Who will succeed me?"
"Birger Furugård"
The PM jerked. "No. Not him. You cannot appoint him. He is a Fascist!"
"Better then a Communist"
"There is no grounds for it. The people hate him. He has no mandate to rule."
"He has MY mandate! I am the King! You are dismissed."
"But-"
"DISMISSED!"
Hasson left the room, defeated.

As the news spread throughout Sweden, dissent began to appear. How could the King do this. Protests began, and they became riots, which got bigger and bigger. One thing was clear, however. It was a new age for Swedish politics.

The King had called the prime minister to come, he arrived in the king’s room and he took a seat in front of the king.

“Prime Minister, I asked you to come to talk with about some issues, you already know we will not help any side in the French civil war. But I want to talk about the defence of our nation, every day I see The Austrian Hungarian Empire grow stronger, and we become weaker. We will not be able to defend our nation if this continues the same way as it is now!”

“Indeed, your Majesty but we already expanded our military, and it’s fully equipped, to become stronger we could expand our navy and air force more or build more factories.”


“We could do that, but it will take a lot of time and will probably be fruitless. I have another idea, you will not like it but it is our only option.”

“What is it, Your Majesty?” The Prime minister was very nervous, he had already an idea what it could be.

“Now, prime minister, I propose to form an alliance with Italy, I know that they are fascist, but they are our neighbours and they are our main supplier of military equipment, we have no other choice.”

“You already know my answer your majesty, I am strongly against this, we should not side with the fascists, this will end in an Italian invasion and I do not want that our nation becomes a puppet of the Italians, I have another idea and if it fails we could always make an alliance with Italy.”

“So what’s your idea? Making an alliance with the Austro-Hungarian Empire?”

“No, your majesty, not making an alliance but signing a non-aggression pact with them, so we can secure our sovereignty and we don’t have to side with the fascists.”

“That’s maybe not a bad idea, prime minister, send a letter that I want to make an appointment with their emperor.”

Peculiar. How Peculiar

Kaiser Franz Joseph Kruber would never in a million years would think that the Oprainians would come seek council with Austria-Hungary. Indeed, but why just a non-aggression pact? Surely, the Orprainians must know that they need more than neutrality for protection. But, whatever the case, it is rude to turn down a meeting between monarchs.

Date is easy but location? Somewhere neutral, at least.

The Kaiser of Austria-Hungary sat down on his desk and wrote reply letter to the King of Orprain.

Salutations, King Theodore. I have received your message and accept your proposal. We'll meet at Hofburg Palace in May 16th, 1936, at my capital of Vienna. As for that non-aggression pact, I will accept but I am willing to add in the deal of extending it to a defensive alliance. That way, your kingdom will be protected from potential aggression of Serbia, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, and even the Mediterranean Union. We will this discuss matter, however, on May 16th.

Kaiser Franz called out to his Foreign Minister to send out his letter before asking him to continue maintaining relations with the UK and Nazi Germany.

May 5th, Straits of Gibraltar
The Royal Moroccan Fleet of 4 destroyers, 2 Dreadnoughts,a cruiser and 10 supply craft and troop transports meet in the Strait. After several maneuvers, the fleet docks and anchors at the port city of Tangier, newly equipped to handle the growing navy . The only absentee were the newly purchased U-boats, currently on patrol.

The fleet would now dock and resupply for future operations and load the Royal Guard of 5,000 and some 18,000 newly trained troops making up the 2nd Royal Army, composed of the 4th,5th, and 6th Royal Legions. The legions, their tanks, and artillery would await orders on their destination from the Sultan. The 1st Royal Army, now based out of Tunisia, is currently on active drill in the Tunisian desert west of Tunis. Another 15 Stuka and 15 BF109 Messerschmidt Fighters had been added to the Tunis Airbase, now totaling some 50 aircraft along with the recent purchase of some 5 Junker Ju 86 Heavy bombers.

The new airbase was now the largest in North Africa and currently under further construction.

May 7th

The Great Sultan Mohammed V calls for a ceasefire between the BNA and allied forces, offering amnesty to any BNA sympathizers and offer them the ability to integrate into Moroccan or Tunisian society. Families of fighters will be granted refugee status, lasting a year. Refugees may earn citizenship through joining the Moroccan Foreign Legion. The humanitarian crisis of France must cease, and BNA forces must be offered an opt out from certain death and imprisonment. Morocco opens its doors to any who come fleeing the conflict, with the exception of any former members of the French Commune.

The Kingdom also calls for the worlds attention in the neighboring Atkemri-occupied Algeria, where Berber Arabs are continually growing restless from their occupation and seek independence. They are tired of their submission to the Sub-Saharan Atkmeri and their call should be answered rather than met with violence. The world has seen the rise of communism in places like this and can not allow extremist the chance to gain power in the scenario of a revolution.



The Sultan, Mohammed V, made a speech to the world via radio for the first time in Moroccan history today on the topic of Atkemri Algeria and its rumblings of revolution:
"We must support the Algerian right to independence and strong rule by Moulay Ali, a perfectly capable freedom fighter and anti-communist who fought alongside Atkemri forces in China and with Tunisian partisans against French communist. He is a hero of the people and intelligent commander. Currently, who has asylum in Tunisia and is working on rallying support in the event of a rebellion. Moulay would be the greatest asset in our crusade against communism as he is both a man of Algeria and tough fighter. If we are to stop communism and its cancer. We must stamp out its only hold in Algeria. "

Forests around Wijlre, 6th of March 1936, 13:00.

Duke Maximilioan would struggle with his cane. His bones were old and fragile, and he had trouble walking. His younger wife would call out to him, asking him what was taking so long. "Just a minute, dear." The two were walking over a paved road, in the forests near their chateau in Wijlre. Maximilioan enjoyed the nice, warm weather. The trees that used to be bald in the winter months, now coloured bright green, with the sun shining through their thin leaves. At the end of the road stood a lone chapel, and completely surrounded by trees.

As the two neared it, Maximilioan thought about his son, who marched to China to preserve the peace. His son, a wild rascal in his youth and adolescence, had barely mellowed. His passion for the art of war and his strife for the protection of catholics worldwide had caused him to grow as an influential young prince. His military expedition into China made Maximilioan proud, proud to be this lad's father. As he thought about his son, he couldn't stop thinking about his safety. Would his troops be able to push back the communist menace?

Maximilioan had been inspecting the socialist revolutions in Asia, surpressing the church and their monasteries. He knew that some sort of European intervention was necessary, he had seen it before. The boxer rebellion was an excellent example of why European legations in China were something to die for, and that no Chinese man could ever insult European glory by trying to disband these legations. Wilhelm II said it 30 years ago, but the tactics used by the international force in Beijing would be brilliant examples for the peace keeping force. He wasn't sure about the situation in China, and how safe his son Charles would be, how far the communists were away from Guangzhou, or how trained these bolscheviks were. He did know, however, that it was the duty of any patriot to defend his church and his rightful land. Both in Limburg and in China. The church, and the european legations within China were sacred to Limburg's international trade, and to any other European nation. They should be preserved at any cost.

After praying to archangel Michael, saint patron of soldiers, in the small chapel in the dense woods, Maximilioan knew that it was best to gain more international support in his clerical struggle. With the foundation of some sort of Chinese catholic army, and the intervention of other European powers, there could be a "Second" Boxer rebellion, and the Chinese could hopefully give up their false thoughts of communism, and go back to their old roots. No kuomintang, no People's Republic of China, just the Qing dynasty back on its rightful throne, with British ships in the harbours, French military in the barracks and German colonial overseers in the town halls

I am sure you are aware of our presence. You came to our lands, took away traditions old, poisoned our tongues with your English. You massacred our children. Our people. Our subjects.

While the Spanish Crown, is the Crown no more; I am sure you are well aware that we received our noble titles from the crown. You are a mere demagogue put into power by filthy plebians. We are higher than you.

We would have welcomed you here. But you chose to disrespect our heritage and tradition, the legacy of our ancestors! Which, I tell you; is a sin in the eyes of God!

While Luzon and Visayas, easily succumbed to the occupation; Mindanao will continue to stand. Have you not known? I have united the most powerful Principalia families in Mindanao, and we are bound by knightly codes of chivalry and by faith in God, whether Muslim or Catholic.

We have driven you off before. As your soldiers walked through our forests, swam in our rivers; we watched unseen. Have you ever wondered where your soldiers go? We feed them to our pigs and our dogs.

We've done this before. You left in shiploads. Do not think for a minute that just because you have received allies, you can take us. We will never bow to the false song of "democracy". Leave Mindanao be, or be prepared to face the consequences.

Kaiser Franz sigh a deep sigh. What a nightmare it was to supply troops half a world away without any proper naval bases. The Kaiser just can't deal this proposition, not with Serbia and Romania in the way.

Paul Hymans nervously clicked his pen. The bolt switched from side to side, leaving the minister of foreign affairs to seem nervous to those around him. He had gathered with the bishop of Roermond, Guillame Lemmens, sitting to his left, and with Frans De Bergh, Limburgs ambassador to Austria, who had personally delivered the letter that the emperor had sent to the grand duke.

They had gathered around the letter, reading it word for word.

Maximilioan, who sat oppposed to Hymans, stared him right in the eye.
"We have failed to convince Austria, a protector of Roman catholicism, to aid us in our struggle against communism in our first attempt, dear Hymans. I will not tolerate a second failure."

The minister of foreign affairs stopped clicking his pen, and started sweating. "I'm not sure whether I understand what you mean, my excellence", the young gentleman rapidly countered.

"Hymans, your petty politics haven't done anything for us. It is my son and my dear prime minister, who have taken the power invested in them by our mighty god, and who have marched against bolschevism. I will not let you influence my writings again. From this point onwards, I will talk to whomever I want to talk. I will not let my divine right be annulled by poor farm boys like you, Hymans."

The minister of foreign affairs slowly nodded, fearing that he'd be fired or worse.

"I will be counselling with these gentlemen in the future. You are not required to be here whilst we talk, so you may leave if you wish to leave."

Paul Hymans decided not to leave the session, hoping to help his fatherland by trying to compromise with the stern duke.

After a long while of discussing terms, the duke decided to send additional messages, hoping to turn over any influential catholic countries.

I understand your concerns, but if I could take the honour of advising you: The Chinese produce food for us. Sending food and additional supplies around is indeed difficult, so we very much rely on autarky. The Kuomintang government supplies us with bread and other edibles. We export food to China too, but we mostly do this to enhance morale. Our cooks are experimenting with Asian food, but all we're currently sending our troops is equipment, and maybe some food. Seeing that didn't use their weapons yet, or engage in some activity in which they would have lost their weapons or munitions, our supply lines are quite thin. We can broader them if we'd like to, but the supply in China is very dynamic. We could also supply your troops for you, as long as we've got stern support for the catholic church in China. We could assign some of our destroyers to your force. This will increase fraternity between our nations. We need you to support the catholic church anywhere on earth, your imperial highness. I hope that we can reach a compromise, for the catholic faith.

The Kurosawa and Takao companies have presented their final tank designs to the Suojian Army. The Kurosawa tank, currently know. as Pkd.3 (K), features a 35mm main gun and 20mm of frontal armour. The Takao design is a lighter design, with the same 35mm gun but ~15mm of frontal armour, and is known as Pkd.3 (T). The Suojian Army has requested that both designs have a working example built by 1st June for trials, and have also requested a heavier design being put forward.

Algeria

The Berber Arabs in the area were as far as the rest of the world could see content,but behind that there was a resentment. The predominantly Christan,African nation of Atkemri often times ignored their requests only giving them a autonomous region that led to the relocation of hundreds of thousands. The Berber Arabs inspired by the words of King Mohamed the 5th formed the Arab freedom party who would campaign for freedom in the area they inhabited. So far the Atkemrian government has not responded other than telling the Moroccan government there was no problem.

May 25th, Canary Islands

Morrocan forces landed on the three main Canary Islands at 9:00 AM this morning. Troops unloaded and moved to occupy the islands and there towns in the following hours. With only two small firefights and no fatalaties, the small Spanish garrison of 300 stood down to the 10,000 Moroccans. The Royal Fleet has docked and is overseeing the evacuation and return of any Spanish troops or nationals seeking to return to Spain. The Islands were occupied after a longstanding disagreement between the respective governments on their ownership of the islands. The Morrocan Government has released several new startling intelligence reports on the rising communist sentiment in Spain along with clouds of civil war between several factions in the country.

Morroco also has evidence of USSR agents operating in the nation to encourage communist control and discourage Spanish relations with the world. To prepare for possible conflict, the Kingdom of Morroco has not only reclaimed the Canary Islands, but also renewed its constructions of the artillery fortifications of Tangier to guard from Spanish actions in the Strait of Gibraltar.

Morroco calls for an international summit to discuss the future of the war on communism and where the world can most effectively combat it in the coming days. The Summit will be held in Rabat, the capital. Ambassadors and any world leaders committed to the fight are welcome. Germany and Italy have already pledged attendance via ambassadors.

The whole of Sweden was in a flurry of activity, as the new government got to work. The early dissent and civil disobedience was easy to suppress with the combined power of the police and military. The Opposition was in uproar, demanding Hasson be returned to his post, they could do nothing. On the coast,the great Swedish dockyards were at work, producing more ships to turn Sweden into a great navel power. Huge quantities of money were poured in to the military to fund one of its greatest expansions. In Stockholm, a huge military parade was held, showing of the Swedish power to the world. As the last of the tanks rolled by, Gustav V stepped up to a podium, and began to speak.

"Friends, Swedes, Countrymen! A new day is dawning. It is time for a new era in Swedish history. With the rising of a new government, I can now firmly tell you that the age of Neutrality is OVER! Sweden will no longer sit back and allow ourselves to be walked over. We will step into the world stage. The world will cower before us! We will fight the Communists, as well as anyone else who stands in our way! We were a great power once. We will be again. LONG LIVE SWEDEN!"

Don Apolinar Velez has left on a trip leaving little detail. He has left in charge the Marban clan.

Manila Galleons patrol the seas of Mindanao with care, knowing that they are inferior to the US Battleships.

Troop movement is more active. And Recruits have increased from the locals. The APRM's professional army being 70,000 while the Recruits come in 90,000. Untrained cannon fodder.

Several foreigners, moving across a bridge; claim to have been targeted by Snipers from the APRM. No evidence has been found for Snipers except for a few bullets. The locals claim that they know nothing.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Principalia request aid from free Muslim nations.

The Catholic Principalia have requested aid from Spain.

In China, Mr. Roa gains the nickname "Baliw na Kabalyero (Lunatic Knight)" as he pulls off the most insane attacks, such as attacking a tank with a horse, a sword, a gun, and dynamite. He surprisingly survives.

In fear of aircraft, the nobles and their forces retreat to the tunnels.

"What the hell?" A hispanic man in a trenchcoat with a hat, gray hair and a wrinkled face says as he looks at the newspaper. "Who the #### is Franklin Roosevelt!? I thought you said Theodore Roosevelt was the US president you incompetent ####!"

A younger man stands beside him, blushing with shame and shaking tensely. "We-Well, they do have the same surname. I mean, it still said 'Roosevelt' in the letter right?"

"Puta mo! Because of your blunder, I made the APRM look like a bin of lunatics you fool! You think anyone will take us seriously after this!?"

The younger man crouched, and covers himself with a heavy briefcase. "I'm sorry Don, please don't hurt me..."

The Don continues to frown, then he sighs. He walks to the trashcan and drops the newspaper inside. "Forget it. We came here to do business, didn't we? It doesn't matter now."

A young boy in a suit runs to the Don. "Sir! The Snipers are in place! When do we begin?"

"At noon, I want all the bombs we set in place to detonate; understand? Then, when the soldiers run across town, then we start shooting. In the meantime, I have business to do. Tell everyone to meet me at the docks at sunset."

A horse-drawn carriage. They appear to reject any passengers. It is quite early in the morning. At the back of the carriage, there is a big box; and right by it, sits a few men.

"Do the other carriages have it too?"

"Yes, some have a different one though. A mortar." The Man replied. "Enough talk, we wait. At noon, we raid into the city and shoot down the Kanos. Let's make the Don proud."

Manila, the harbor; sometime before noon.

The Don and his aide stand by the harbor, near several crates, a cargo ship and a battleship. They are approached by men in navy uniforms.

"Good morning. It's a nice day today isn't it?" The Don tells them.

The navy officer doesn't greet him in return, enthusiastically saying instead, "Do you have the money?"

The aide shows them the suitcase. He unlocks it and shows the navy men the contents. Their jaws dropped as they looked at the shiny contents.

"25 bars of pure gold. As promised. Now, your end of the deal. If you double-cross me, I promise you you'll regret it. We have enough men in place to kill you and your entire crew. You'll be long dead before the army finds out we're here."

"We only request that you help us find safe passage out of the country. This deal will ruin us."

"The money should be enough for that. Now, is the cargo loaded on the ship? And this battleship, we need some of you to stay and teach us how to operate it. We'll pay extra."

"The cargo yes, 4 tanks, 10 jeeps, a plane, anti-aircraft weaponry, artillery; automatic rifles, grenades, is that it?"

"I believe that's enough." The Don looked at his watch. "The shooting should begin in an hour. It'll keep the army busy long enough. You sure you okay with betraying your comrades like this?"

"In times like these, a lot of us need the money."

The Don sighed. "Godspeed then, and may the Lord have mercy on your soul."

June 4th
NEWS:

On the 3rd of June, the city of Manila was bombed by the APRM. As the local garrison rushed into the city, Snipers and gattling guns held them off. Mortars were reported to have attacked Intramuros as well.

In several hours, the Mindanao forces retreated to the docks at sunset, where they stole battleship and a cargo ship. The stolen cargo is yet to be investigated.

The crew of the battleship, has also disappeared. It is unknown if they are dead, but it is likely. No bodies of the crew have been found.

The death toll of yesterday's attack is still being tallied.

The United Provinces of the benelux are purging there officers and the people are sick of being communist.

The United States of Nikosa mobilizes it's forces. Naval Officers are being trained. Food is being kept in surplus. 10 Ships are being created monthly. A draft has gotten 3 million people to join the AoN (Army of Nikosa) and a further 10,000 sailors have joined the Navy. War bonds are being sold and income tax has been increased. Women are being encouraged to work.
