Morocco
The Great Sultan Mohammed has extended an offer of peace should they cede rights to Mauritania, Mali, and Niger. Algeria has accepted a deal of Protectorate status similar to that of Tunisia, merging its armed forces and diplomacy under Morocco.

Mauritania
The Moroccan 3rd and 4th Armies began marching from the seized fort of northern Atkemri of Ain Bin Tilli and are currently capturing towns along the route to link up with the 2nd Army outside of Atar on the road to Nouakchott. With no size-able garrisons are armies in the way, the 3rd and 4th Army should arrive within the next two days in the town of Atar.

Coast
An Atkemri cargo ship carrying weapons from Europe was sunk by a Moroccan U boat. The Sultan has condemned the use of a hospital boat to ferry arms by the Atkemri and calls for the resignation of the current government.

The Spanish economy has finally fully recovered, its reconstruction and revitalization efforts turned out to be very successful. Advancement in medicine and the introduction of the first form of penicillin improved the lives of the citizens tremendously. Its population had grown by 17% as childhood mortality drops below 9.1% for the first time. Its military strength doubled with proper armored, motorized and mechanized divisions instead of the ragtag divisions clobbered together. with over 700 Panzer IIIDs making the backbone of its armored forces. friendly trade relationship with the Americans and their own domestic synthetic oil industries supplied Spain with much-needed oil. The air force has also been reorganized and streamlined now boasting over 598 combat aircraft and 178 cargo planes. Its navy now consisting of 4 fast battleships 14 cruisers, 27 destroyers and 41 submarines purchased from Germany for a fraction of its cost thanks to contacts in the German shipbuilding companies. Spanish intelligence also managed to obtain the German new Egnima machine, with plans to mass produce their own versions and distribute it among their own units.

the XCOM council met in private today in the newly rebuilt Madrid. With domestic issues finally solved, they can now focus on expanding Spanish influence over the region with Portugal and the conflict in Africa subjects of great interest to the council. Everyone was in agreement on both issues, all supporting Moroccan forces and conducting clandestine operations in Portugal.

Officially Spain is neutral in the conflict but the 2nd Fleet consisting of 2 battleships, 5 cruisers, and 11 destroyers sailed close to the coast. An offer to "lease" two heavy cruisers and a lead lease agreement for 200 tons worth of war material to the Moroccans.

The Union of the Maghreb is greatly interested in paying lease for the two cruisers as well as some 100 tons of ammunition. We are also interested in advancing political pressure on the Atkemri and call on European powers to embargo the aggressors. With the Atkemri army on the run and the impending siege on Niger and Mauritania's capitals, the Union is in debate to possible divisons of the falling nation. With no interest in southern regions of Ghana, the Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone, the Sultan is hopeful the Atkemri will sign away rights to the desert nations of Niger, Mali, and Mauratania to maintain their nationhood. If the Atkemri do not surrender these nations, the Union will continue its advance deeper after the takeover of these nations

September 14th
Mauritania
After forces from the 3rd and 4th Army linked up with the 2nd Royal Army, forces began the siege of Nouakchott, the capital of the Atkemri country of Mauritania. The Atkemri Home Guard was beaten back by the 10th Royal Legion in the early hours of the morning and eventually abandoned after overwhelming pressure form Moroccan armor. Casualties were high, and the remnants retreated to positions within the city. The Royal Navy attacked two cruisers and 2 destroyers docked in the port with the support of Stuka dive bombers, effectively sinking one cruiser, engulfing the other in flames, and running aground one of the other destroyers. The final was scuttled in the harbor to prevent the Royal fleet from cruising in to bombard the city at point blank range. The capital is currently surrounded by a ring of steel and light bombardment has began to showcase firepower and demand unconditional surrender.

Final Days of the Atkemri
September 13th
Mauritania

Atkemri Home Guard and 1st Army surrender the capital of Nouakchott, giving up the city and some 250,000 soldiers after only a day of bombardment. Discouraged by losses across the country, lack of supplies, and in the face of a well armed and veteran fighting force, the diverse militia forced their officers to surrender in the face of mutiny and siege. The last sizable Atkemri force in Mauritania, the rest of the countries garrisons dispersed to their homes, devoid of any purpose other than to look after their own. It had been understood by most now that the Atkemri military , despite its British arms and vast numbers, was poorly trained and suffered from miscommunication due to tribal cleavages. The troops were loyal to their tribe and nation before their Atkemri identity. Seeing no hope in their continued role as defenders of other tribes and nations, it was an easy choice for Mauritanian forces to abandon their posts and arms across the country to return home.
Image

September 14th
The Moroccan 2nd Army sent out two divisions to occupy the rest of the country, the 2nd Division to occupy the eastern corridor of the nation, and the 3rd Division to reach the border town of St Louis and extend into Senegal.

Niger
Battle of Agadez begins, lasting some 16 hours as Royal forces attack the Atkemri positions in the industrial town. After intense fighting and heroism on both sides, the Atkemri armor was completely overrun by a mix of armor and infantry. The entire 1st Atkermri Guard was defeated, some 200,000 strong reduced to only 25,000 after months retreat and defeat. Surrendering, the last force between Royal troops and the capital of Atkemri Niger was eliminated. The 2nd Army wasted no time and advanced unopposed to Niamey

September 15th
A lighting advance find the capital abandoned by garrison forces and Royal forces march in unopposed and treated apathetically by the populace. Atkemri forces in the country had dispersed similarly as they had days before in Mauritania
Image

September 16th
The Atkemri government extends an olive branch for peace, offering Mali and occupied land for peace. The Sultan rejects.

September 17th
Mali
Image
Royal Forces march into Timbuktu with light resistance. Forces from the southern regions Atkemri like Benin, Togo, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast, form up in Bamako to make up some 500,000 man force, largest Atkemri army in the field.

September 20th
Senegal
Senegal invaded by 2nd Royal Army only to find the entire Atkemri force of some 200,000 holed up around the capital Dakar, spread too thin to present any significant opposition. The First National Army of Atkemri as it was called, was made up of militia from Gambia, Senegal, and Guinea. Engaged by Stuka bombers and a heavy armor advance, the army broke after only an hour of fighting and was effectively dispersed. The Atkemri navy lost two destroyers and several support craft after being engaged again by a modern Moroccan navy and air force. The fleet was Atkemris last naval force and its few craft made for Freetown.

Mali
Image
Elements from the 2nd Royal Army in Niger and 5th National Moroccan Army attacked Bamakoa and the 2nd National Atkemri Guard of 500,000 men. The battle lasted 7 hours, ending after a herioc charge lead by a German-Moroccan officer broke the Atkemri center. The enitre army dispersed or was captured, ending any chance of an effective defense of any of the remaining Atkemri lands.

September 25th
Sierra Leone
In the port of Freetown, the lone Atkemri battleship "The Vice" commits mutiny. The port and its garrison join and return to their homes across what was left of Atkemri lands. The Atkemri government, now based in Abidjan, the Ivory Coast, offered terms of unconditional surrender to the Sultan of Morocco. The Prime Minister and several cabinet ministers attempt escape to British controlled Nigeria. The Prime Minister and his Secretary of War are captured. The PM is granted amnesty to Switzerland, resigning from his post and fore-fitting the right to return to Africa. The Secretary of War is sent to Rabat to face trial.

November 1st
Abidjan, Ivory Coast
Treaty of Abidjan signed, dissolving the Atkemri government and granting sovereignty to the Sultan of Morocco over, Senegal, Mali, Niger, and Mauritania. The nations of Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Benin, Gambia, and Ghana are all granted independence under the rule of their empowered princes and kings, all of whom swear fealty and sign protectorate status to Morocco. The Atkemri military is disbanded, sending all troops still in the field home.
Moroccan industry now has full access to the resources of West Africa.

MilitaryReformation
The 1st Royal Army is reformed to make up some 15 veteran legions and another 50,000 Algerian and 10,000 Tunisian troops.

The 2nd Royal Army is reformed as well to some 20 Veteran and green legions, along with some 20,000 Algerians and another 10,000 Tunisians.

The 3rd Royal Army is formed after training in the Sahara desert of some 23 green legions and two veteran legions who saw service in Mali.

The First Union Army is formed and sent for training in Senegal, consisting of some 150,000 West Africans to be trained by the heroes of the battle for Agadez.

Training for the rest of the Moroccan Royal Military is planned to be finished by the end of the year, forming a 4th and 5th Royal Army.

The Navy has added the two remaining cruisers and destroyers of the Atkemri navy along with its British battle ship, "The Vice", renamed "The Freetown. The battleship under construction in Rabat nears finishing and the 1st Royal fleet has returned to its base in the port of Tangier.

The Atkemri Air Force, consisting of some 50 Gladiator biplanes were distributed to the Moroccan Principalities of West Africa to maintain support the new regimes.

The Home-front
Major crowds across the nations of Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia celebrate as the Sultan and several heroes from the war tour the Maghreb. Public support and national sentiment is higher than ever as soldiers return home for leave for the first time in months.

The Condor Stirs
Bogota, September 15th

As the sun sets on the Andes Mountains, A group of generals argue around a large table within the state building. The debate has been lasting for days, as the men argued whether it was the right time to break their isolationism stance.
"The nation isn't ready yet for a conflict!" yelled Guillermo Franco, the head of the Colombian navy, "It took us 3 years of grueling work to bring us back to the current state we're in, and a single war could undo it in a matter of months! we cannot jeopardize all our future plans by entering the fray too early!"
"To early? We have entered too late!" retorted Juan Jose, the Venezuelan general heading the elite hermandades shock-troopers, "The world is in chaos! When the enemy is in disorder, you strike! It is due time Gran Colombia showed its strength to the world!"
"Admiral Franco is right, Commander Jose," Boomed a voice from the head of the table, "The time to strike lays not at our feet, but in our horizon."
All the officials stopped their arguments and turned their attention to president Simon Bolivar II, who had stayed relatively quiet up to this point.
"But, there is truly much to be gained in the chaos that burns across the globe. The great eagle of America has left its perch in Asia, and will no doubt set its sight onto the nations of South America. The Communist Bull of El Faso prepares for a war the Americas have never seen before, While all the while the Goliath of Andsed sits, who could easily decide the fate of our new nation. War is not the option, yet there are other ways to gain influence and power. The Peruvians flock to our cause, and could easily decide to join Gran Colombia with the right push. Our oil is plentiful, and trade could lead to new technologies our scientists could never make on our own. However, if we do enter the global sphere, Progress must continue!" Bolivar smashes his fist into the table, and his council murmers in approval.
"We will enter the global sphere, not as a conqueror, but as a friend to the people of the Americas! We will build our army to protect the Latin people! We will lead our people into a brighter future, a world in which we can breathe easily, without the threat of communists or imperialist! We will ENDURE!"
As Bolivar finishes his speech, the room erupts in cheers and applause. After the countless days of debate, it had taken less than a minute to stir the room to a conclusion: The Great Condor of Gran Colombia will awaken and throw itself into the protection of the South America people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Policy Shifts & Changes:
-The Military Republic of Gran Colombia has ended its stout isolationism, and has began organizing official diplomatic relations with the rest of the world, Especially the powerful neighbors of Andsed, Brazil and the US.

-President Simon Bolivar has concluded the only way to defend the nation as it enters the global theater is to grow the military, and creates the "One Man, One Gun" Policy, which hopes to raise the military size from 75,000 to a projected 125,000 by the end of 1936, and hopes to grow it to an estimated 300,000 by the programs undecided end date. The program also calls for the modernization of the nation's minuscule air force, which consists of 3 dozen ill kept Blériot-SPAD S.61 biplanes.

-The Government also orders 2 more military production complexes to be built around the Buenaventura area, to accommodate for the soon planned military growth.

After a few days of debate about Gran Colombia beginning to try and establish diplomatic relations Andsed decides to try and make friendly relations. Grant Shalka released a statement about it saying.

"As many of you know the isolationist nation of Gran Colombia has been trying to establish diplomatic relations. Many have been wondering how we will react.Well Andsed will be trying to make friendly relations with Gran Colombia. They have not wronged us and we do not wish to go to war and get more Andsedians killed. We will begin trying to establish good relations with them soon." The people of Andsed are greatly pleased by this as it is a sign to many Andsedians that that government is starting to change for the better. The Andsedian government sends a message to Gran Colombia saying.

"To the government of Gran Colombia,
Hello the government of Andsed invites you to the capital of Andsedia for a diplomatic meeting. We hope to begin to establish better relations between our nations.
From the government of Andsed."

-9:50 AM, A Northern Polish Camp-
Five Polish Soldiers stand guard, they are equipped with the limited Number of M1 Garand Rifles. A Polish Lookout spots a boat moving towards them, it looks like a fishing boat, they count 9 fishermen on it. Then it comes closer, and closer, the Polish Lookout grabs his Garand, firing a warning shot near the fishermen. Then he sees them reach for items under the seats of the fishing boat, they Pull out M1911 pistols, Kar98k rifles, and Mosin Nagants. The fishermen open fire at the small group of guards, killing one that was standing out of cover, then the lookout aims, and he fires. He kills a fisherman where he stands, the fishermen return another volley of shots, missing the men. They fire a anti-tank rifle round at the boat, sinking it, they watch as it sinks, the fishermen drown, or are captured.

After news that the leader of Gran Colombia is going to visit Andsendia got to San Antonio and to Gaetan Ramirez, he decided that they should try to start a relationship between Gran Colombia, because he thought it might help with relations with the two major powers in the Americas; Andsed and the USA, as El Faso had an iffy relationship with both of them. So he sent a message to Gran Colombia too:
”Hello leader of Gran Colombia!
As the leader of El Faso, I would be interested in starting diplomatic ties with your great nation. We invite you to our nation’s capital, San Antonio. We will discuss more details if you come.
Yours truly
Gaetan Ramirez”

Sept
"To The Government of El Faso,
Gran Colombia will accept your proposal. a Diplomat will depart to San Antonio to begin formal relations with El Faso, to hopefully safeguard peace for Central and South America.
-Presidente Simon Bolivar II."

With the official letter finished and sent, Presidente Bolivar reflects the threat El Faso poses. Their first letter has been as expected, formal and friendly, but the nation's actions show a policy of Aggression and military growth. The communist government raises fears of eventual conflict even higher. However, Gran Colombia is in no position to make any enemies, and they haven't been communist for even a decade yet, they may be a chance that they backstep on their ideology. So, for now, they will be friendly, trade materials and technologies. Maybe someday they could be a valuable ally. Bolivar Feels confident in his decision as he writes his response to Grant Shalka of Andsed:

September 21st
Grant Shalka stood at a balcony look over Andsedia. The city had been working to get ready for Presidente Simon Bolivar II arrival from Gran Colombia. The streets had been cleaned up and banners with the Andsedian flag were put on all government buildings. Civllains were allowed to decorated their houses as long as it was not offensive.

The security in the city was being provided by the police with help from the army. AA guns had been set up around the city in case of a air attack. At the entrance to the city there was 6 soldiers and a tank stood checking people who entered the city.

There were honor guards at the airport, ports, and entrance to the city. They would lead Presidente Simon Bolivar II to where Shalka would be waiting.

Shalka walked in to the meeting room where he and Presidente Simon Bolivar II would be discussing the diplomatic relations. The room was decorated simply with the Andsedian flag on one side and the Gran Colombia on the other. His bodyguards stood behind him and around 8 more guards stood in the room keeping it safe.

Shalka sat down at the table and continued to wait for Presidente Simon Bolivar II to arrive.

General the Germans are stepping on the toes of Europe again. If this is to resemble their actions from the great war then we must stand fast and be ready! They will not be satisfied with what they have they will march all acrossed Europe until only Germany remains! Besides I don't trust this Chancellor Hitler. Nor do i fall for this Lebensraum shit...

We must Continue our arms manufacturing and our defensive fortifications.

General: Sir what about Italy?

Vysokiy Korol: What about the Italians? They are of no concern to me. They are farther away from us than the Germans and If they are to go by sea they have many other countries than us to contend with. But the Germans have gone east before and will go east again.... While we may not be a major player to them we are land they want. We must make them fear us. I want a council together General. What can we do to better prepare and if war with germany........ or Italy. Were to come to us how may we fend them off and how would we destroy their moral.

September 21st
As Bolivar enters the meeting room in Andsedia, he steps forward to greet Emperor Shalka.
"What a Wonderful city Andsedia is!" the Presidente remarks, "It reminds me so much of my home city of Caracas."
As he sits down across the table from the Emperor, 2 protectores dorados, the guard of the high ranking officials in Gran Colombia, stand behind him.

"It is wonderful to finally meet you, emperador. I grew up hearing the story of Andsed and its strength, and it inspired me to join the army in hopes of leading Venezuela into a golden age of its own."

"However," He says, his face growing more solemn, "I have not come here to compliment your nation. There is a dire situation brewing in the north of the continent you may well know about. Bolivia, Peru, even Brazil have been overflowing with communist revolutionaries, and start to teeter towards civil war or collapse. It has taken us years to drive them from the center of Gran Colombia, but they still roam the countryside of our nation, terrorizing citizens they see as the 'Enemy'. Everyone has lost someone to a Communist in the north. However, that is not the distressing portion. That was discovered 5 weeks ago, when we defeated a large resistance group on the Ecuadorian Coast. They had been getting progressively better armed, to the point where their stronghold had a pair of T-26 tanks defending its gates. We, with horror, had discovered not only a working port, but a warehouse full of not stolen weapons from seized armories, but Foreign made guns of Russian and Northern Polish origin. Someone has been funding the northern rebels with arms and munitions.

Bolivar allows the fact to sink in the Emperor for a second before continuing his speech. "We do not know of the weapons origins, but we know they do come from a communist nation. It may be Russia, former Northern Poland, but I suspect our anonymous backer may be located closer to home. We, as the protectors of the northern people of South America, cannot sit idly at this discovery, so we offer you a hand of cooperation. I am well aware of your anti-communist sentiment, as well as your neutral stance. However, we hope to found a Latin Anti-Communist Pact with your nation, to turn south america into a beacon for those who wish to combat the threat that is the communists. You do not need to send troops to any wars or assist in any nations defense against your will. Your presence will be enough to deter many rebels from committing acts, as well as pressuring our neighbors into the alliance as well. We will also allow you minor drilling access in the southern Colombian oil fields to help grow your nation. So, emperador, will you join us in defending our homeland against our common foes?" As he finishes his speech, he holds his hand across the table toward Emperor Shalka, offering a handshake to seal the alliance.

Grant Shalka was shocked at the news of someone funding the communist rebels. He considered the offer and thought.

"Well it gives no real downside and it would help us stop communist so why not?" He reached out and shook Bolivar hand and said plainly.

"We will join." He then sat down and said.

"Now I think there are a couple of things to discuss one of the most important is should we get the US to join in on this? Doing this may anger some communist countries including the USSR and the US for all their faults is powerful and could be a great ally. Also they border El Faso who I suspect a little bit I mean they are very close to South America and are communist so they seem to be a likely culprit. What do you think should we get the US involved in this?

September 27th

Letter to the governement of Gran Colombia
"Hello
We have decided that october the 6th would be a good date to do the meeting and hopefully improve diplomatic relations between El Faso and Grand Colombia. If you accept we will talk about more details later
Yours truly
Gaetan Ramirez"
Gaetan felt pretty confident after sending the letter as Gran Colombia would be their first real ally since the communist uprising of 1928, apart from the Soviets.

"The US? " Bolivar said, "The US does not have the best interests of the South American people in mind. All they care about is increasing their influence and growing the resources at their disposal. Many times, I have seen the US enter a country to help create a democratic government, claiming they are doing it 'To bring liberty and freedom to the South American masses'. But, where are these Democracies now? Peru has almost completely collapsed, Bolivia's people are starving as radical left and right wing thugs roam the streets, while Paraguay is caught in a massive civil war between communists and the new military government! All the 'liberty' and 'Freedom' lead to more devastation than before! If a large scale war does break out in South America between communists and those who oppose them, It would be too close to the US's doorstep for them to ignore anyway. This defense pact should be between South and Central American Countries, the ones who need to bind together, not between us and the Imperialist Eagle of the North!"
With that, Bolivar, realizing he has stood up in the middle of his speech, sits down again and calms himself. "However," he says, his usual calm tone returning, "I am not the only one in this pact. If you believe we require the strength of the US, I will listen to your reasoning."
" Concerning El Faso, I have sent a diplomat, one of my most trusted generals, to speak with their leadership. I have also covertly sent a small company of hermandades from the cuervo division, known for their recon and covert operations, to scour the city and countryside looking for evidence of the weapon shipments. If there is any relation with the rebel weapons, We will soon know it."
With that, Bolivar waits for the response of the Emperor.

A few Still Communist Members in the Gov In exile form the Komunistyczna Liga Restauracji (Google Translate) they start to campaign for Communism Again, but most disagree. They do get the support from the 3rd Light Infantry Regiment, and the Polish Destroyer Kharkov. People Join the Partisan Core, and form the 1st Communist Regiment, and infighting begins in the Gov in exile. The Civil war starts, 90 Communist Soldiers, and 130 Nationalist fight it out on a NP controlled Island, the Communists wins, because they had some artillery. 500 Communist Rebels storm the Main building where the government is held, killing most of the people inside, with the President and 50 Presidential Guard escaping. They continue to fight, and civilians die left and right, 500 People die in the first 15 hours, and more are estimated to die.

To His Excellency Simon Bolivar II

We see you as a bulwark against communism. To that end we offer you both military and economic aid. What say you?

As Bolivar spoke passionately about why he was not a fan of the US being a part of the pact Emperor Grant Shalka face remained neutral. He had dealt with this kind of stuff before it did not affect him that much. After Bolivar finished Shalka said.

"You make good points about this and I agree. What I propose that we keep good relations with the US in case any communist countries get mad at us for doing this. Anyway about El Faso I will send up some commandos to help investigate I will also send up some commandos to Gran Colombia to help deal with the communist rebels. Also should we keep this pact a secret so whoever is doing this does not learn of this?"

France demands Germany and Italy leave occupied land in France; conference in Metz organized for November 10 between Germany, Italy, France, and UK to discuss border changes.

Roosevelt wins third term in landslide.

OOC: Shouldn't I also be in the conference, considering the fact that I have at least some part in the whole France debacle by having 100,000 troops stationed there?
I'm a dude.
