The year is 1936, but not the 1936 you are familiar with. There are many strange countries, countries you may not recognize. They are nations that should not exist, but do. They are here now, and how they will change history remains to be seen. Will the Nazis control Europe? Will the Soviets conquer Asia? Will the British Empire expand? And will your nation be defeated, or stand strong?
It is up to you.

Yatzand, January 1 1936

King Gudom I stumbled out of bed after only two hours of sleep. It wasn't from the parties; he had had no New Year's Eve parties. Ever since King Dutom II's assassination, the country had been in chaos. Between 1931 and 1933, there had barely even been a government. His father, after being appointed in 1933, had tried and failed to stabilize Yatzatz, and was assassinated in 1934. King Gudom had then taken over from his father, and since then, had never stopped working.
After literally recreating a government from scratch, King Gudom had started trying to improve the situation in the country. So far, it had been a year and a half of that. Yatzatz was approaching something close to functional, but was nowhere near there yet.
And that wasn't the only problem. The ever-present threat of Japan loomed large over the horizon. They had recently taken Manchuria, and their aggressive expansionism showed no signs of stopping. If they would turn their attention northeast, Yatzatz would be screwed.
And through all this, coup attempts and assassination attempts were still rampant. Many radical groups had started during the chaos, and they weren't happy with normalization. King Gudom knew that if he was assassinated, at best, only the country's democracy would fall; at worst, the entire country would stop existing. So, he and his very large guard kept very vigilant.
With all this, who had time to celebrate a new year that would bring even more work with it?
King Gudom went to work. He had no time to spare.

[Northern Poland]

The Polish Government would be wary of the new German government, they had just remilitarized the Rhineland. The Polish remembered how much the Germans hated them. So they would start surrounding East Prussia (modern day Kaliningrad) And would start increasing The Ministry of Intelligence operations in Germany. The Polish President Nicholas James would sit at his office late at night. He'd wonder of how the new nation would defend from a loyal and fanatical group like the germans. They had started increasing patrols on the borders, and started building Hundreds of T-26s BT tanks. They would also start building war material such as Weapons Karabiner 98k and Noshin Nagants were the most common Infantry Weapons. The Air Force would start to replace the outdated biplanes and start using F2A Buffalo fighters instead. The navy would consist of 7 cruisers 10 destroyers, 14 submarines, 3 aircraft carriers, and two battleships. The Army would start building fortifications around the countries borders. They would try to make Northern Poland a Fortress.

A Red Storm Brewing

The coup-de-tat of '36 has begun in the Philippines. Revolutionary forces from the Anti-American coalition, the Philippine Communist Party (KMU/PCP), the Anakpawis Katipuneros; and several labour unions in the Philippines; have banded together to form the New People's Army to overthrow the American regime and replace it with all-Filipino delegation. Communist Chinese and Korean forces flood to the Philippines, as the NPA continues its cry to foreign nations to support their revolutionary crusade against the oppressive American regime.

With "War Plan Luna" in its final stages, the rebels now stand on the outskirts of Intramuros: a fortified sub-city within Manila, dating back to Spanish Colonial times. The last American forces who have not fled southward to the province of Bataan, attempt to make an all out stand against the New People's Army. American naval forces continue to bombard the city, yet to no avail. With the American Forces ranging merely below a thousand men trapped within a stone-city and cut-off from all supply lines; it seemed rather inevitable that the Capital would soon fall into Communist hands...

Rebellion in Philippines!

A rebellion has broken out in the Philippines. As of right now, it is unknown who exactly the rebel group is, but President Roosevelt has announced that he is sending 200,000 soldiers to the Philippines to quell the rebellion. They will arrive in a week and a half. Until then, the US garrison force will have to hold.

Sir, with all due respect the situation is not as ''shinning with the flame of hope'' as you said in your New Year speech. While I am and always will support you and your ideals of peace and prosperity the situation is nowhere near bright as you made it sound like in your speech and we may be facing a grave crisis on our land. As you well know The Rapanatchan national movement is rising in popularity among some of those that lost more and more with the rise of socialism and we fear they may be planning a coup.

I humbly ask, for your own security and the stability of our people, that you increase the security force in the parliament and start to slowly mobilise the population. We may need a bigger army if the worst happens. And you know as well as I that this little man in Germany could set ablaze Europe for his ambition, I mean you have read his book right, Henri? I know you would hate to ruin the content peace that our people are sitting in currently, but please at least consider some of this. The situation could explode in a matter of weeks if not days.

January 3rd 1936

Grant Shalka was sitting in his new office as the newly elected leader of Andsed. He was working on some military improvements for Andsed. Seeing as tensions were high right now he figured it would be for the best. they had recently bought around 20 heavy tanks and were starting to produce more. He had also had the air-force begin to replace the outdated fighters like bi planes with more advance models. He had also orders for AA guns to be placed all across their borders and around major cites and around some military bases.

Along with this he also had tanks and infantry be stationed across the border and to build fortifications there. He also had men stationed in some major cites as long as they did not force themselves into anyone's home without their permission. He also ordered aircraft be ready to fly at anytime to defend anywhere. He also had his navy which consisted of 4 aircraft carriers, 6 cruisers, 5 destroyers and 10 submarines to guard the coast and to work with the coast guard. He also had compulsory military service be implemented.

Now Shalka figured it might be a bit controversial but he justified it with the fact it was for the national security. He also debated sending troops to assist the US in the Philippines situation to build stronger relations but thought it would be a waste since the US had more than enough firepower to deal with it.

But he figured he would send aid if he deemed the US needed it.

January 3rd, 1936

Kaiser Franz Joseph Kruber was occupied with his legislation and the Parliments of Vienna, Budapest, and soon-to-be Prague and Zagreb. The Dual Monarchy is still fragile, both ethical and political. Catholics in the South and Protestants and Reformed in the North. Liberals in Czechoslovakia and fascists in Hungary and Austria. Not to mention Nazi Germany, USSR and Fascist Italy eyeing the territories of the fragile Kingdom. Kaiser Franz knew that if he needed to reclaim his borders, he must either rely on his northern cousins or the Allies in the west for protection. Allowing Italy to dominate the Balkans was unthinkable and allowing the USSR to spread communism to the West was blasphemous.

But first, Kaiser Franz need to maintain the loyalty of the minorities. He can start by allowing the Czech and the Croatians to form their own parliament under the authority of his name. That way, they can be satisfied knowing they are represented in the government. As for the language barrier, Kaiser Franz wrote a decree that all citizens of the K.U.K. must know either German or Hungarian by the time the graduate college. That depends on which part of the Kingdom where they're in, for example, the Czech, Slovenians and Slovakians have to learn German since they live under direct rule from Vienna while the Croatians and the Serbians have to learn Hungarian since they live under direct rule from Budapest.

As for the language barrier between the Austrians and the Hungarians, they have to learn each others language, except the Kaiser since its optional, but the classes are be free to attended and there is no time limit on how long it takes to master the language. If this proves successful, every adult citizen will be bilingual if not multilingual.

Meanwhile, Kaiser Franz also issued order to expand the military industry by building more factories and railroads throughout the major cities in the empire. Construction will begin on the next day but it will take the end of the week to fully mobilize the construction force.

The Army will be reorganized and re-quipped by the end of this month.

1936. Tensions between Japan and Suoji are rising as Japanese naval patrols sweep closer and closer to the country’s borders. The Suojian Fascist Party, who now control the majority of the country, are ramping up their defence spending to protect their country. But they will not only have to fight the Japanese, as the Worker’s Party of Suoji still hold large chunks of land, and will do anything to defeat Josuro Nijura. The Suojian Navy has been mobilised. The country is ready for a war in the Pacific.

Finnish President Pehr Svinhufvud stepped in front of his lectern, looking on at the crowd of thousands.
"People of Finland," he began, "Our government is going through a hard time at the moment. Toivo Kivimäki, one of our most resolute protectors, was recently voted to be unsuited for his job.
His fervor against the corrupting influences of communism was surely instrumental in saving us from the great economic collapse experienced by the rest of the world. Without him, we may have fallen to the same fate as the Ukrainians, the Russians, and the Chinese, the same fate we fought so hard to avoid not even a generation ago. But I respect your decision. I might disagree with you, but if I let my own opinions supersede yours, we would be no better than the communists to the East or the fascists to the South.

Without him, we will have to work harder to defeat the influences of communism. Under my guidance, I assure you: We will not fall prey to their influences! We will not succumb to their propaganda! And, if it comes to blows, we shall kill ten communists for every loyal Finn that falls!"

The crowd began to cheer, some of them beginning to chant the mottoes of the White Russians, the revolutionaries that had fought the Reds. They had lost in Russia, but their efforts had secured Finnish independence, and the conflict left a deep hatred of communism that persisted to this very day.

Hours later, Pehr was burning the midnight oil to finish writing a new piece of legislation, the Industry Act of 1936. It had many of the same objectives as the Soviet Five Year Plans -- an irony that was not lost on the staunch anti-communist -- but it did so in different ways. While they were both aimed at industrializing as fast as possible, the Five Year Plans accomplished this through forced relocation and socialistic bureaucracy replacing free enterprise. The Industry Act would simply cut taxes on businesses that used industrial techniques of mass production and on the iron and coal industries, a move that he hoped would accelerate Finnish technology and commerce without forcing his people to do anything (though, regrettably, he had to make the choice of raising taxes on everyone else, or cutting key governmental departments, neither of which he wanted to do).
He re-read the document, making sure to correct any mistakes he had made (and also rewriting some of the parts of the bill that could have been presented in a negative light). Satisfied, he placed it in an envelope and closed it shut with a crimson wax seal, leaving it on his secretary's desk with instructions to deliver it to Parliament as soon as possible.

the Polish start to look North at finland, as they are Communist haters. The Polish aren't very happy when countries announce that communism is evil, because everyone thought that communists were dictators when POOF Northern Poland showed up which was Democratic and Communist. Meanwhile the Polish-German relations crumble as the Polish keep asking about buying/gaining East Prussia. The Polish Armoured Core is starting to take a strong form. The Military in general is now rock solid, it also has 40,000 partisans divided into 5,000 Lithuanian partisans 7,000 Estonian and 6,000 Latvian and 22,000 Polish. Malri Konkana would wake from his sleep and turn to his newspaper delivered to him while he slept. "Rebellion in the Philippines huh? Tell America we'll send some commandos over." multiple commando divisions would be made ready and prepared to be sent over to America where'd they eventually get to the pacific.

[Northern Poland]

the Polish would start to crack down on the fascist party. During the night 400 secret police would participate in assassinations, Imprisonment and deportation of 700 Fascist party officials. 300 of the 700 were killed and the rest were deported or in prison. The Polish would start making public propaganda against imperialism and Nazism and Nazi supporters. They would start to have talks with Southern Poland to build border defenses on the border with Germany.

Chairman Liu, could only sigh as this day went on. Today marked the second year as comrade Mao passed away. The chairman was only a captain when Chairman Mao was killed during their escape to Shaanxi. With him also went, over 70,000 of our comrades. While some of the capitalist and foreign scum might think this is a waste of Men, to the troops that survived it meant that they would last another day, and they would continue to fight on. Mao was a martyr and everyone knew it. From the lowest common soldier all the way up to him the current chairmen, respect Mao and many think he is a god.

Today Chairman Liu would make a speech honoring the men that died during the Long March. In field over 10,000 men dressed in rags, and many still looked hungry. These were the men that had survived the march, and they would be the ones that would the building blocks of creating a better China. As Chairman Liu walked onto the podium, many of the troops were chanting his name. He lifted the hand to quiet them. The courtyard, you could only hear static, and Chairman Liu talking " Comrade, The Long March is a manifesto. It has proclaimed to the world that the Red Army is an army of heroes, while the imperialists and their running dogs, Chiang Kai-shek and his like, are impotent. It has proclaimed their utter failure to encircle, pursue, obstruct and intercept us. We will be the people that will liberate billions of people from poverty and Imperialist and capitalist pigs. No one can hold us back, it is the start of the world revolution." As he paused he could hear a thunderous cheer among the men gathered at the courtyard. "But we will never forget our comrades, that have sacrificed their lives for us. They're sacrifices made sure that we would live on to fight another day. To forget them is disgraceful and shameful." When he finished many gathered lowered their hats and were paying respects to their fellow comrades.

"Remember not to ever forget what comrade Mao wrote, the Three Rules of Discipline and Eight Points of Attention." After finishing he stepped down and started to walk to the Quartermaster. "Comrade how many weapons do we have." The Quater master quickly responded. "Comrade Chairman we have 20 mortars 1 Mountain gun 12,317 Rifles, 33 Heavy machine guns,285 Light machine guns, 28 Submachine guns2,804 Handguns and we have 1,858,156 rounds of munition for these weapons. We also have 6,101 Lance,882 Chinese sabers, and unknown amounts of muzzle-loading rifled muskets and smoothbore muskets, Flintlock and Snaphance guns, Matchlock and Wheellock guns, Spears and rakes, Axes and poles, daggers and knives." This came as no shock to the Chairman. He expected that they would lose many weapons during the march. He would regain the weapons when they start to conduct raids on the Nationalists, and they would gain new recruits from the local countryside. This would be the dawn of communism in China. There would be no gain without a road full of losses and suffering.

The Polish would load Large cargo ships with Tanks, Guns, Money, Ammo, and Volunteers and trainers. They would send them out nearest to the Communist held areas and then would unload them at docks and would transport them in Unmarked Trucks, guarded by Militia hiding around the routes. They would then have the Militia that volunteered to help the communists along with the trainers. The Supplies would Contain 11,000 rifles, 3,000 submachine guns 8,000 Handguns, 1,000 Heavy machine guns, 2,000 light machine guns, 200 mortars and 10 BTR tanks and about 6,000,000 Chinese dollars, about 9,000,000 rounds of ammunition, and would also offer the help of The Intelligence Bureau.
Most of the supplies would be delivered by aircraft by one aircraft carrier with the cargo ships. the supplies would be delivered by 500 transport planes 5,000 trucks and.

This was one of the borders that separated communist controlled China, and the rest of China which was owned by Chiang and his allied warlords. This particular one was heavily reinforced since it was the closest one to the Nationalist border. Along the way there several trenches and mountain passes that could act as an ambush and chokehold if anyone dares attack it.

One of the guards said "Hey Comrades, do you see that dust trail along the road." When he said that the commander pulled out his binoculars and used it to see what was happening. When he saw a truck full of weapons and men, the only thing that came to his mind was that they were getting attacked. "Comrades, I want everyone to get into battle position." When he said those words, everything changed Men started to rush into their trenches. The Machine Gunners rushed into their foxholes and the most of the cavalry were told to retreat and report what was happening to the next station. If they were lucky they could reinforcements. After an hour or so the dust cloud started to get bigger. The eyes of the men were stinging, they were gripping their rifles, they were waiting for the order to open fire That was until they heard the droning of planes. This was a nightmare for the men. They had zero protection against air attacks. When they saw things getting dropped off the plane, many ducked and waited for the familiar sound of pain and the ringing of the aftershock of the explosion. When that didn't happen they opened their eyes and was staring at what was dropped. One of the braver soldiers, ran up and caught the note and read "Dear comrades, do not worry we are fellow Communists. We are sending you supplies, money, and volunteers." When they heard this they couldn't believe it. It had to be a trap that was designed by the Nationalists to lower their guard, but that all changed when they saw the crate falling done from the sky. Inside were rifles, ammo, machine guns, and submachine guns. They couldn't believe it. They had to tell the Chairman. These weapons were better than what most of the soldiers had. The Commander sent the rest of the cavalry to recall that order. When they returned they were ordered to tell the Chairman what had happened

The commander yelled, "Let the trucks pass they have supplies." When the trucks finally arrived. The soldiers helped unpack the gear. It was a sight to behold. Comrades were working side by side. With these new weapons, they wouldn't have to worry about the Nationalists and weapons for a while. What truly shocked them were tanks. They had never seen any before and they don't have anyone that could drive it. Many hoped that whoever drove them here, could teach them. After the Chairman heard this news. He called his top officials together and discussed future plans. Many wanted to launch a counter attack, but Chairman Liu wanted to wait and see what the Japanese would do. They were taking more and more Chinese territory by the day. He also wrote, "Thank you Polish Comrades, we will never forget what you did for our revolution."

On the same day, the Chairman gave orders that the communist party will try to industrialize in places where they can. It will try to produce it's weapons, and they will try to modernize the army. Currently, there are 3 military factories that are being built which should be able to produce more weapons. They are expected to be completely finished by 1937, due to the lack of supplies.

The Polish would now start to build factories and convert civilian factories to Military factories such as, car factories are now tank factories, ship building factories now make warships and submarines, and airplane factories build warplanes. they would start to push for volunteers for the Army and would start conscripting because tension was rising in europe. 20,000 men would show up and would start training, 5,000 would be marines,7,000 would be navy and the rest where Army or Air force. They would start building many Submarines.

It has come to my attention that with the current tension rising in certain country that neighbour you, you may feel rather alone or in a difficult position. Finland is also not helping ease the tension. We do not wish to enter conflit currently but in the event of a war with Fascist nation in Europe and the north, nations like our should stick together.

Please consider the current situation. Neighter the USSR or the UK hold the best interest of nation like us at heart. Our country are alone unless they stick together.

A letter would be sent back reading "We agree we must stick together because other nations do not care about us. we keep he people's intrests at heart but the other nations think we are cold nations that are dictators. The Polish would send raw material by rail to china, guarded by more Militia. Construction workers, architects would also be sent there. They would help the construction. If they ran into a Nationalist Border Checkpoint they would say it was for The Nationalists and would show a fake delivery chart. then they would be loaded onto trucks and would drive to the areas where they were building factories.

Rapanatcha have started a recruitment campaign and is starting to rearm. The navy is in a sorry state and aviation is completely outdated.

Peter Rigen, minister of defence had a lot of job in front of him. Rapanatcha had far too little men compared to it's potential ennemies and while the United Kingdom could come to their defence, he doubted it. The British seemed uniterested in future conflicts and may not even enter the next war. It was unlikely but even if they did they might not even be on their side. And no one could count on the help of Stalin. No they were alone. Unless some nation joined them but without some major nation the future looked grim.

He looked at the data he had gathered. He would need to double the men, create a civilian defence force, aquire military vehicule and replace the obsolete equipement. Without neglecting the infantry weapons of course. All that in less than 8 years or perhaps even less. The later seemed more likely. He sighted. He would not get to have a good night sleep for some time.

January 13
200,000 US troops disembark at Manila, while the Battle of Manila continues raging. With the extra men and equipment, the Battle of Manila ends within a day, with the Communist forces scattering to the mountains.

Yatzand, January 16
In a cafe in Yatzand, plotters scheme. Yatzand is already mostly back to normal, after over a year of King Gudom working non-stop. But these men aren't happy with King Gudom.
You see, over the years of basically-no-government, many extremist groups formed, and are now worried about being disintegrated. So, they take measures to stop this.
Who is this group?
They are the Green Yatzatzians, a fascist group. And they're devoted to overthrowing the king. They know that they're not the first group to have tried, and failed, to assassinate King Gudom. But they will try anyway.

Manila, January 28

200,000 US troops disembark at Manila, while the Battle of Manila continues raging. With the extra men and equipment, the Battle of Manila ends within a day, with the Communist forces scattering to the mountains.

Yatzand, January 16
In a cafe in Yatzand, plotters scheme. Yatzand is already mostly back to normal, after over a year of King Gudom working non-stop. But these men aren't happy with King Gudom.
You see, over the years of basically-no-government, many extremist groups formed, and are now worried about being disintegrated. So, they take measures to stop this.
Who is this group?
They are the Green Yatzatzians, a fascist group. And they're devoted to overthrowing the king. They know that they're not the first group to have tried, and failed, to assassinate King Gudom. But they will try anyway.

Manila, January 28

The Polish government sends 5,000,000 filipino dollars and sends 1,200 rifles 100,000 rounds of ammo 3,100 handguns, 12 anti-tank rifles and 1,000 submachine guns. They then turn to the Not-so-helpful Soviets and complain about how they aren't helping the World revolution that was proposed in the 1920s. They would start building Rifles, Ammo, and other weapons and supplies, because they were running low after supplying the rebels in Philippines and in China. Polish planes would creep into German airspace over East Prussia as a way of saying "We want this." The fascist party in Northern Poland would collapse with no top members left.

Andsed hearing about the fighting in the Philippines decides to send around 80,000 infantry with 35 tanks and 2,000 commandos with naval support of 3 cruisers and a destroyer. They have also sent a message to the US saying.

To the Uinted States government
We have seen you are fighting a rebellion in the Philippines. We have decided to send aid to try and strengthen are relations.

[Northern Poland]

The Polish government would send diplomats to the US to try to talk them into letting go of the Philippines. Peacekeepers would be loaded onto fast attack ships and would depart for the philippines. They would also try to make the other nations back out of the conflict as it was a Two nation dispute. They would also funnel more money into the rebels in China and the Philippines. They would try to push the USSR into helping the communists. The planes over East prussia would fly away and would be put on high alert status. New stuka bombers would be put into place for the Polish Air force.
