All of south America except for Chile and Argentina, anything south pf Honduras, between Mexico City and the USA, Canada, southern Africa, most of the Arabian peninsula, Oceania and Indonesia, southeast asia and central Africa at least. I probably missed some areas and there are probably some mistakes, but I hope you get the idea.

The easiest way is to create a non existent land mass. My country takes up a small portion of the black sea by georgia. There was also a map made once somewhere in this forum. Not sure which page though. Just know that major players in the war are most likely reserved for a player to control or for yatzkatz to control as the forum creator.
