AEIAN NORTHERN MUSIC FESTIVAL 2018

Welcome to the Aeian Northern Music Festival, a music festival for nations in northern Aeia. The festival will be held in Lentini and will involve various artists performing, foods, and other cultural attractions. The goal of the festival is to show the best of the northern musical scene however, it also acts as a way for people from the north to talk and interact with one another while listening to their favorite artists. Many nations and cultures will be represented through the exciting musical performances and debuts at this festival. You can also explore modern cuisine of northern nations at the food booths during break periods, learning about new culinary traditions in Aeia. Both old and new musical styles will be shown in the festival, with a wide variety of rock. The purpose of this RP is to explore national cultures, groups, and various minor characters, as the music festival progresses and they interact. Multiple subplots are encouraged, and you are allowed to send your leaders. I recommend building up fandoms and sending crime groups to create that spicy tension.

To start with, you need to learn the traditions of the city this festival is being hosted in, Lentini. Lentini is a city on an island in the Lilledel region of Crylante. It was notably bombed in 1916 by Newreyan nationalists, leading to the city being rebuilt from the ashes. It has grown up around Lentini University, a world-class science and arts university where individuals such as the current Chief Director of the National Council of Crylante and the First Minister of Vrnallia studied, and is known for its very left-wing political beliefs. The country has been home to numerous countercultures; it is open to pot tourism, and has numerous performance art displays. Due to the intellectual, left-wing nature of the city, many surrealist and modern art movements have popped up in the city, and the city has a large stand-up comedy scene.

In the bottom apply with characters/groups/artists that will be attending and an iiwiki article/ description of their personalities. Once we've seen a few characters and decided on a few subplots the festival will begin!

Name: The Strummers
Age: 22 to 28
Description: The Strummers, a Newreyan-Rhuritanian rock group, currently is at the peak of their fame. Possibly one of the greatest songwriters in history, the Strummers currently have four, famous, players.
Potential Interactions: I guess the Strummers are politically active, I guess they could have a political song that sparks outrage among the statesmen

Description: Lloyd has been in this business since he was a teen, his music has captivated people, especially the new generation, into more liberal values. George is a solo artist, being very politically active about the world. Lloyd has much to say, but little time.
Potential interactions: As I said, George is very liberal and wants everybody to know.

Name: Halis Demir
Age: 25
Description: Halis Demir is a young Terncan rock artist, specializing in metal. He has a rather impulsive aggressive personality and is driven by fame. He is rumored to be affiliated with the Terncan mafia.
Potential Interactions: He would try to shame and sabotage other artists, smuggle and sell drugs, leading to fights with police and other artists.

Description: Vahit Ersoy is a Terncan music blogger covering the festival. He is rather snobby and strict with music but has a humorous personality.
Potential Interactions: He'd be rating artists, attracting the attention of more aggressive artists and fandoms.

[Crylante]

Name: Annette Anadottir
Age: 24
Description: An up and coming Crylantian electropop singer, Annette Anadottir's debut EP, Lad Det Hele Gå, secured two top ten hits on the Crylantian charts, Ring mig ikke længere and Prøve. She hails from the town of Glostrup, Glostrup and is half Veye on her father's side.
Potential Interactions: She was known for some very political songs on her debut EP; one of these songs was called Kære Mister Holt, which was a scathing criticism of Newrey and its policies, and thus this could cause controversy.

[Midrasia]

Name: Blaise Badeaux
Age: 28
Description: Blaise Badeaux is a perfectly ordinary Midrasian citizen from the northern region of Elsouf. Being from the most northerly region of Midrasia, Blaise is perhaps more in-tune with North Asuran cultural tastes than those fancy smancy southerners, and thus a music festival is right up his alley.
Potential Interactions: Mr Badeaux has some friends visiting from Wallais who he may be interested in meeting

Name: Rosa Ibáñez
Age: 26
Description: Rosa is, once again another perfectly ordinary citizen, however this time from the city of Bordieu, and is thus much more in tune with traditional Midrasian cultural taste. She finds northern music, especially rock and folk to be particularly barbarous. In fact, the only reason she is here is because hey boyfriend Blaise dragged her here on holiday.
Potential Interactions: Miss Ibáñez also has some friends visiting from Wallais who he may be interested in meeting, other than that she may periodically reflect on the ghastly music on display at the festival.

[Vrnallia]

Name: Ku Hodó (Five Siblings*): Badnju Hozaskùg, Dziena Hozaskùg, Sisi Hozaskùg, Mòr Hozaskùg, Skoban Hozaskùg

Age: 20 to 27

Description: A folk band from Mazej, Vrnallia consisting of members of the Hozaskùg family. Their debut album, Kovij Zasisechieš "Sons and Daughters of the Land", remained at #1 in the Vrnaljaj Lystan "Vrnallian List" for three weeks straight, and was praised for its use of traditional Vrnallian melodies with a modern feel. However, the band has attracted controversy over their right-wing beliefs and persistent yet unproven rumours of an inappropriate relationship between string players Dziena and Sisi.

Potential Interactions: Being conservatives in such a left-wing city as Lentini shall surely offer the possibility of some interesting confrontations.

*Hodó means both "sibling" and "parallel cousin". The band members are not all siblings. Badnju and Dziena are female,
while the others are male.

[Motsvara]

Name: Arman Björklund
Age: 24
Description: Arman Björklund is an indie rock artist from northern Motsvara, and is quite popular in the region. He has been in the top ten of the Motsvara Top 100 over 15 times, once topping the charts with his song Ingetliv in 2016.
Potential Interactions: Arman's fans tend to be a bit overly passionate, leading to fights over his best songs, as well as with fans of other artists over who is the better artist.

[Rohst]

Name: Piet Rettschert
Age: 25
Description: A Rohstian tourist visiting Crylante alone, saw there was a rock music festival in town and thought it could be interesting.
Potential Interactions: Could either just be another face in the crowd and never mentioned again beyond this post, or if some nonsense breaks out, trying to keep alles in ordnung or possibly getting into some type of trouble.

[Crylante]

Name: Heike Reynder
Age: 45
Description: Heike Reynder is officially titled the President of the Republic of Lentini Island, meaning she is the ceremonial chair of the state's executive council and serves to mediate the policies between the states. She is a member of the Crylantian Green Party and is known for her left-wing, progressive political beliefs. Born in Vaardeburen, Vilemyr, Reynder studied History at Lentini University, eventually deciding to live in Lentini full-time, and she applied for Crylantian citizenship. She got involved in state politics, becoming a member of the state legislature before being elected as the state's President in April 2015.
Potential Interactions: Reynder likely will make a visit to the festival; although she will not be able to stay for long due to working to manage the state's government. She is very popular among the Lentinian population and thus her presence would be appreciated by the locals.

Name: Faldende
Age: 37 to 43
Description: A six-piece Crylantian folk metal band from Dybøll, Faldende formed in 2002 and has been popular in Crylante since. They have scored four number ones on the Crylantian charts over the years, and all of their seven albums have reached the top 5 on the albums chart. The band notably alternates between Sigurða Sigridsdottir's soprano vocals and Magnus Svenson's screamed vocals.
Potential Interactions: The band will be promoting their December 2017 self-titled effort, which reached number 2 on the album chart, held back only by Fossilium's I Live In The Shadows. Their music is rather intense, and the crowd of their performances often matches this, which could lead to disturbances.

Name: Fossilium
Age: 31 to 32
Description: Fossilium is a Crylantian music trio from Lofthus, Badessa, who perform electronica and dream pop music. Their music relies on minimalism and arpeggios, and many of their songs are instrumental, although when they do sing, group member Adele de Lofthus delivers ethereal vocals which have been described as "equally dreamlike and unsettling" at the same time.
Potential Interactions: Their song "Mylene" managed 11 weeks at number one from September 5th to November 20th on the Crylantian charts, and thus the band is very popular in Crylante at the moment, with the album I Live In The Shadows being a number one album. However, some fans of the band are known for the recreational use of hard drugs, and thus controversies have arisen at some of their shows, and could potentially arise here.

Name: Jami Laukkanen / Usko Nylund / Kirsikka Virtanen
Age: 17 / 16 / 17
Description: Three gymnasium students from Isomurri, Särmäki. The three of them are on a break from school term and decided to visit Lentini during the break to enjoy the music festival. (the fact that they are considering studying at its university is irrelevant) Due to the age of majority being 16 in Crylante, all three of them are legal adults in the Federation, but they still have a youthful side to them. Jami and Usko are boyfriend and... boyfriend, in the true Crylantian fashion, while Kirsikka is merely a good friend of the two. Jami is a rather introverted yet intelligent student, with staunchly socialist political views, while Usko is more moderate in personality and views, although the two of them get along great. Kirsikka however, is a more extroverted person, with centre-right liberal political views, and thus the three often debate views and their personality types complement and contrast each other.
Potential Interactions: Three teenagers on their first trip away from their parents going to a music festival filled with all kinds of threats. What could possibly go wrong?

[San Feliz]

Name: Adamo "AAA" Abascal
Age: 25
Description: Felizia trap/Latin pop star who managed to escape a hard life on the streets of Calderon, rising to a decent international status and becoming a world traveler to avoid the problems that exist back home. A musician that focuses on melodic trap and house songs as well as some songs leaning closer to EDM or pop. Widely loved in San Feliz, especially Calderon, and a philanthropist trying to improve the state of the country.
Potential Interactions: Partying in the city, gathering publicity for San Feliz, etc

Name: Kira Varela
Age: 22
Description: Bankrupt college dropout from Viejo, San Feliz, that some how managed to end up at the Music Festival with the last of her money. Trying to find a way to legally or illegally emigrate out of San Feliz.
Potential Interactions: Trying to get the hell out of San Feliz and into a better country.

[Isolaprugna]

Name: Anna Gaspari
Age: 27
Description: Anna is a music blogger from Costapunente, Isolaprugna. She is mostly akin to the ska and reggaeton music that is popular in her home country, although she likes to explore the music scenes of other countries and thus is coming to the concert to investigate other music and introduce it to her home.
Potential Interactions: This is the first time she's been to the old world, and it'll be an interesting ride.

[Indragiri]

Name: Heni Indarto
Age: 76
Description: Probably the most well known artist of Indragiri, she has become an actual living symbol of Indragirian music, starting her career in 1958 at the age of 17. Many of her songs are remembered as great Indragirian classics, and one of her songs, "Sendja di batas kota," released in 1974, has become so famous that the song is often linked with the golden age of Indragirian music between 1960 and 1980. She would like to spread Indragirian music to the outside world, especially in the native languages of Indragiri to promote her country.
Potential interactions: Promoting Indragiri, exploring the outside world. It would really bring many Indragirians abroad to this festival.

[Torroso]

Name: International Torchbearers
Age: 21 to 25
Description: The Torchbearers are a drum corps from Western Torroso. This drum corp is well known for their pyrotechnics and playing techniques. Their show this year, titled 'Light of the World' aims to tell the story of Alydianism, with a focus on Torroso. This group is well known because of their capability to play without a drum major. Often times, they are invited to parades in Torroso. They were founded as early as the 1500s, becoming one of the first drum corps in the world. A tradition of this group is the accompanying the Pontiff of Laterna for welcoming ceremonies. Their uniforms are based on that of the 16th century Torrosoan Rifles, a regiment that serves as a service to the Pontiff of Laterna.
Potential interactions: Playing various show tunes along with famous national songs from Torroso to Catai, to introduce people entering.

[Navack]

Name: Limitless
Age: 22 and 20
Description: Limitless is a DJ duo from Berke formed by Elias Saether, and Roy Alden, grandson of the legendary Matias Alden, former member and co-founder of the famous disco group Memo. They have a very pop trait in their music, having their newest hits playing all over Aeia, as they always work alongside invited artists
Potential Interactions: They are very outgoing and energetic. They know a good number of international artists, specially new rising ones. They enjoy the fun and parties, sometimes invading restaurants and clubs to play for free.

Name: Nomads of Summer
Age: 24 to 30
Description: An Åndalsi Folk Band, Nomads of Summer are a group of 6 people that plays about the different tales across the different cultures in Aeia. Besides that, they have songs with political and social critics, as the navish state of Åndalsand has been through periods of rebellion and fight for freedom. Some of the members are also important members of the Pacifc Åndalsi Independence Movement. They are also know for playing for free in beneficent shows and events.
Potential Interactions: They are very outgoing people, very calm and pacific. They are mostly seeking for an over-asura exposure, i.e., making contact with the cultures of the world.

Age: 57
Description: Probably one of the most famous navish artists of all time. Brunn is an amazing guitarrist, composing amazing instrumental musics, to making special appearences in movies and evevn other bands. His works are fulfilled with technic and passion, making him one of the greatest guitarrists of all time.
Potential Interactions: He is nice, respects and gets along with all people, evevn though not the most energetic person nowadays (at least not on the stage, tho). Although, back in the 80's he was known for being a trouble-maker type rock star.

Name: Ecaterina Oliverás-Amoré
Stage Name: Celestia
Age: 25
Description: Born to a Midrasian Father and a Societae-Aquidish Mother, Ecaterina has become a massive continental hit in Vestrim following her successful acting and singing career, soon becoming a major performer worldwide. Ecaterina has become one of the most influential artists in the newly formed music genre of 'Rinascita Pop' - a relatively new genre emerging in the early 2000s, the genre has been characterized as a fusion of Early Modern/Renaissance Florentine-Asuran Classical Music and the much more recent elements of Pop Music, and has seen massive amounts of popularity in Vestrim, especially the Democratic Federation, considered as its core - and has arrived in Crylante as a result of he Asura-wide, and is more then ready to give these rock-loving youngsters a taste of culture.
Potential interactions: Promote the DF, give some Old Worlders a taste of Vestric Culture, Very outgoing and excited, more than happy to interact with fans and fellow artists.

Age: 24
Description: Recent Societae college graduate, born to a Societae Family with mixed Asuran, Catainese, Arabekhi, Majulan and Yidao heritage and maintains a relatively well-known Vuguul Channel called Theo's World with a total of 450,000 subscribers and counting, and usually details in vlogs and comedy. Here with a bunch of friends with the intent of having fun and exploring the world.

Description: The Societae Billionaire has declared that he'll be attending the festival. The young billionaire was born into a prominent Veleazan-Midrasian Family known as the Patenaude Family, known for their prevalence in Societae politics, entertainment and the financial industry. The family being the owners of the Bank of Patenaude, one of the oldest continuously existing banks in Asura and the oldest in Vestrim, which is the main generator of the family's immense wealth
Potential interactions: Due too the relative political controversies surrounding him, he'll be less likely to be extremely open to most ordinary folks during the celebrations

[TKae]

Name: Nakamo Sandu
Age: 23
Description: Known internationally as the face of the #GunsOutForAramas movement, Nakamo Sandu is a chart-dominating pop superstar in TKae. Musically, Nakamo is best known for his graceful, powerful vocals, which he has adapted to multiple projects with artists of many different genres. Nakamo's legions of Chirper followers, known as NakaNation, are the bedrock of his success.
Potential Interactions: Nakamo is light-hearted and passionate. He's always willing to collaborate with fellow artists, and enjoys entertaining his fans more than anything else. Frequently livestreaming, putting pictures on Chirper, and searching out new experiences, Nakamo can always be approached for casual conversation and fun get-togethers, as well as political debates depending on his mood.

Description: Although he gained international fame as the force behind the success of the #GunsOut movement, Mato Watakpe has been artistic nobility in TKae for over a decade. Called "The Legend" and "King", Mato is known as a lyrical and compositional virtuoso, famous for his philosophical artistic vision, his technical, grand performances, and his ability to both tap into and drive TKaean culture. Mato's career has transcended genre, with successful transitions between classic rock, heavy metal, grunge, hip-hop, pop, and dance.
Potential Interactions: In contrast to Nakamo, Mato is laser-focused on his craft. He is a private individual who is always planning his next performance or album. When he does something, he expects it to be done with the highest quality and commitment, both personally and from others. He can be off-putting to artists who expect networking or fun, but is a good friend to any artist whose passion and workaholism match his during a collaboration.

Name: Hakan Sala (member of "The Bull")
Age: 24
Description: Rising stars in TKae's music industry, Hakan and his band, "Bull", are a powerhouse act known for their searing, chaotic concerts. Hakan is particularly known for his fiery, driving vocals that are equal parts incisive and profane. The group's fans are infamous for their destructiveness during and after concert; the group has been attributed to a swell of riots and mass-vandalism across TKae. In TKae, Hakan and "Bull" are seen as the firestarters of an ideological and philosophical inferno that has sent ruptures through TKae's political structure.
Potential Interactions: Hakan is an ideologue who subscribes to a TKaean "old way". His advocacy of stereotypical TKaean ideals can make for poor conversation, but always makes for meaningful cultural exchange.
