The Orion troop transports touched down and immediately began offloading troops, many of whom noticed the lack of combat off in the distance. For several brief moments there was a midst of confusion, as platoon commanders consulted with their squad leaders and superiors to determine whether or not they had landed in the correct place, before being informed of their standing orders. Immediately, a battalion of 1,000 soldiers had set off to scour the countryside in search of civilians, supported by Vulture recon helicopters. Meanwhile, the Brigade 4(1a) 4th Division set off to merge with the Spearhead Battalions under Colonel Harlow.
