Background:
Pawon is a tropical island nation that was founded by a neopagan cult leader who declared himself to be the son of Zeus. The leader, John Fisher, led his followers to Pawon after failing to take over Greece. They created a society based on ancient Greek religion and classical forms of government. Fisher became Ioannes I of Pawon and left his expanding kingdom to his sons. It was further divided among his grandchildren, who by then ruled the whole group of islands.
Kalipolis is one of the small kingdoms, but it has been troubled recently, by strife with in the royal house. This RP begins with the unexpected death of the King, Darin II and his son Milo, leaving the throne empty. This will lead to a conflict over the succession. The neighboring kingdoms, wanting to annex Kalipolis, and the Kalipolis aristocracy attempting to either make the most of the situation. All parties wish to avoid an actual war, although the movement of troops will be involved. There are plenty of ways for foreign interests to be involved and it could be done quite cheap. No full scale invasions please. I also want to advance the story with the use of individual characters, not armies etc.
