Why do you accuse us of something we have not done. Those militiamen were not ours. We do not know who they are or what they want; we are investigating the incident. Note that while the attack happened, the QPRA guards stationed at the checkpoint did not fire - or do anything except inform the upper command - at anyone. We have received reports of UDC forces firing on our troops; we have sent the appropriate response.

May the People of Qaidi be free; and may the Workers Prosper!

Let us assume, momentarily and entirely for the purpose of the argument, that I believe you. In this case, it should be possible for us to forge a cooperation. It should be possible for you to allow an investigator team access to the site of the attack, and for us to work together against the Jihadist organizations.

I propose the following agenda items:

1. That the site of the incident be cordoned off for the purpose of the investigation, by joint QPRA-UDC security teams.

2. That it be looked over by Allanean investigators, and all relevant data – video of the attack, if any, pathologist reports of the dead, etc. – collated.

3. That the UDC and the QPRA sign a temporary cooperation agreement to work against the Jihadist threat, which we feel to be the main threat to the country. This will include access to the Tunisia harbor to Free Kingdom ships to unload security teams.

If indeed you have not carried out the attack it should be easy to agree to these offers.

And we do agree to these offers. However, the government of the Qaidi People's Socialist Republic want the Austrians having NO part in this, for they bombed Tripoli, where there was a mass of People's Activists; many died in Tripoli. We would like the Allanean investigators to be co-supervised by a UDC-QPSR-FKA team.

His Majesty, the King, has authorized us to carry out a full investigation. We are currently airlifting a Military Police Investigator team to the scene. They will be armed only with basic self-defense weapons, and will carry forensic investigation equipment. We ask that QPRA and UDC troops secure the crime scene until our arrival, and photograph it extensively. We also ask that a representative of QPRA and UDC law enforcement meet our men at the airport for joint investigation.

Mediterranean Sea, North of Al-Hanabah, Qaidi
Bridge of the Kii, Flagship of the Imperial Japanese Navy

Admiral Ito Genda's Fleet, now deemed the Mediterranean IJN fleet steamed into the Mediterranean past Gibralter in line ahead formation, eventually making it's way to Al-Hanabah keeping a safe distance from the other naval fleets near by of The United Kingdom of Mediama, Allanea, And the North American Constitutional Republic. The Admiral rolled his eyes at the sight of the North American flag, Japan had no love for Americans since the Asia-Pacific War and it was bound to stay that way. "Admiral, we have reached our destination, our transport barges will begin offloading troops and ground equipment within the hour." An IJN naval officer reported to which Admiral Genda waved him off before holding his hands together behind his back. The IJN fleet itself was a rather heavy handed one as best, first troops of which were offloaded were the Imperial Japanese Royal Guard, the elite of the Japanese military, battle hardened through years of constant operations against resistance forces in China, Australia, and even the Western Occupied territories of North America. The IJRG would be instrumental in Japanese operations against the religious extremists, communists, and fascists should they deem it a worth while venture to attack the Imperial Japanese Military.

Mediterranean Sea, North of Al-Hanabah, Qaidi
Deck of the Miura, Nameship of the Miura Class Aircraft Carriers of the Imperial Japanese Navy

Vassal Retainer Maya Tsukuyomi readied her Type 91 rifle, pulling back the charging handle on it and looking into the chamber of the rifle to ensure rounds were feeding properly, though it wasn't doubted a rifle, especially in the hands of a member of the Imperial Royal Guard would be in top condition she still was careful of such things especially when trouble was expected. Fudai Yui Takamura followed Maya's example and did so with her own rifle, mainly due to her and four others being the "newbies" in the squad they just recently graduated from the Imperial Royal Guard's Training Academy in Kyoto and like with all new recruits there was always one of whom was a bit too enthusiastic for action, that recruit would be Noto Izumi, a Tozama, one of three others of whom graduated from the Kyoto Academy, she kept speaking on how she couldn't wait to get into action, secretly though they kept it to themselves, the other three also agreed, though the unnecessary chatter did annoy Maya to a degree she shrugged it off. The kids would learn soon enough war wasn't a game, she knew it all too well with her own experience in fighting the resistance in North America, there Japan had a particularly brutal approach to crushing said resistance.

Finally after hearing enough of how Izumi was going to bag her a savage, Maya whistled before speaking. "Alright, lock it down Tozama, I've heard enough of that, do not underestimate our enemy, they maybe wearing rags and using old shitty soviet surplus but that doesn't mean they aren't a threat." Maya let go of her Type 91 letting it dangle from the strap it was hung off of on her body armour before she grabbed Izumi and held her up off the ground by her collar. "You are a soldier of the Imperial Royal Guard, the Shogun has put the best instructors at your disposal to turn you into the finest killing machine ever created, do not allow your arrogance to get your killed until you pay back every bit of Yen you owe her majesty! Understood?!" Maya let go of Izumi allowing her to drop to the floor on her knees while she saluted with her eyes held shut tightly. "Y-yes ma'am!" Maya dusted off her hands and walked to the head of the squad before turning around to face them. "Alright kids, we'll be inserting at the Al-Hanabah harbor and securing it for the main army, do not allow your arrogance to blind you, we may face resistance against us, but be sure to check your targets, if they're civilians get them on the ground, if they're armed... Drop them. Understood?!"

Without hesitation the squad before her saluted and bowed their head speaking in unison. "Understood!" Maya smiled and adjusted her glasses before stepping off to the side. "Quick march to the helicopter! Now!" The squad then began picking their feet up, marching in place before marching quickly to a Japanese produced version of the American Black Hawk helicopter, painted black with a red stripe going around the vehicle with the Imperial Chrysanthemum adorned in plated gold on the doors of the helicopter, getting in quickly while it spooled up and soon took off from the carrier, heading straight for the port at low altitude, four other helicopters matching the description joined from the other carriers in the Japanese fleet, Maya sat in the middle of the helicopter with the Tozamas on each side of her, standing up in the helicopter she went to the other side of the middle of it and pointed out both doors while ropes dropped on both sides. "We're roping in, drop, drop, drop!" One by one on each side the Tozamas fast roped down soon to be joined by Maya they formed a circle around their drop area and watched the windows of the buildings around them before Maya using hand signals directed them to a warehouse directly to their west, they would begin searching and clearing buildings securing civilians and dropping armed insurgents wherever they were found.

Within the hour with multiple other IJRG squads, the port would belong to Japan and the IJA would begin getting military equipment and boots on the ground in Qaidi. While Maya shot to kill, the Tozamas shot to wound.

Al-Habanah, Qaidi [-] North Section; QPSR-PGQ - newly - joint-controlled territory; near site of 'Korolenko Incident'
January 2nd, 2018, 02:00

"Hey! What the hell are you doing?" A PSF guard shouted - in Arabic - at the Japanese soldiers. As he said this, more PSF - Provisional Security Force - soldiers came and surrounded the Japanese. "Drop your weapons and put your hands in the air!" He shouted. The PSF soldiers were armed with BH-183s - a modified version of the Type 81 assault rifle - and pistols. Soon, QPRA soldiers came up to reinforce them. "You are on newly QPRA and UDC joint-controlled territory. It was unclear if the Japs had known about this. After the 'Korolenko Incident', the QPRA-led Qaidi People's Socialist Republic and the UDC-led Provisional Government of Qaidi had made an agreement to have a joint-controlled zone stretching one mile in the originally QPSR side and one mile in the originally PGQ (Provisional Government of Qaidi) side, making an area jointly controlled by the QPSR and the PGQ, the 'Buffer'. Both Provisional Security Force guards, Qaidi People's Red Army soldiers, People's Provisional Police policemen, and Qaidi Provisional Armed Forces (QPAF) soldiers patrolled the area.

"Put your hands in the air!" The man shouted again in Arabic, he was confident they would surrender; notwithstanding not knowing what they were thinking.

Al-Habanah, Qaidi [-] North-East Section, outskirts; Al-Habanah International Airport; Terminal 3
January 2nd, 2018, 02:00

A man in a business suit with a keffiyeh waited at the landing strip, tapping his military shoe on the ground. Two men stood behind him, military soldiers from the Qaidi Provisional Armed Forces (QPAF), they had keffiyehs which covered their mouth and nose, leaving only the eyes to see, this was unusual for the QPAF. Normally, QPAF soldiers would have an MK-6 helmet. (However, many soldiers had keffiyehs and other types of helmets they found. Some wore MK-7 helmets which they took off Moral Police bodies, many of them painted the MK-7 to make it look similar to their desert-camouflaged uniforms, and not all soldiers had camouflaged uniforms. Many QPAF soldiers wore different armour and had different equipment.) They had military boots and desert-camouflaged uniforms. They had A-85s, a modified version of the M-16, except it has a Kobra sight instead of the carrying handle.

The man was accompanied by another man standing beside him. That man was wearing a woodland-camouflaged Peaked Hat with a hammer and a sickle together, under were the words 'For the Workers' in Russian and Arabic. He wore black gloves and a woodland-camouflaged uniform. He also had two soldiers behind him, from the QPRA. They had desert-camouflaged SSh-40s and desert-camouflaged uniforms. (Like the QPAF, some soldiers wore different uniforms than other soldiers. But, most soldiers wore the same standard uniform. The one which the two QPRA soldiers were wearing.)

A man, wearing a white suit and a boater straw hat, was escorted by a QPRA soldier to the two men. When he got there, the QPRA soldier stood by as he spoke to the two men. First, he looked at the man in the business suit: "Premier Benyamin," then; the one in the woodland camouflaged uniform. "President Mahmoud." He nodded at both of them, they returned a nod. "I am Danish al-Hisham," he spoke in Arabic. "It is an honour to meet you. I have information to give to the investigators, I'm also supposed to supervise them in their investigation."

"Okay," they both said. "Aren't you the friend of Hamid al-Hakim, the Quranist leader?" Benyamin asked. "Yes," Danish responded. However, I do not bring politics or religion into my professional opinion."

"Good, we could use more men like you. Too many people these days are biased because of their religion," Mahmoud said. Mahmoud was a non-practising Muslim. The QPRA was mainly filled with Muslims, some were non-pratising, others, full-blown free thinkers.

As the QPRA and PSF forces surrounded the Japs, a man came up and moved through the QPRA soldiers. He was a high-ranking officer. Speaking Japanese, he said: "Hello, I believe there has been a misunderstanding here. I request that you put down your weapons. I do not know if you have been informed of this, but you have come into QPSR-PGQ joint-administered territory. You are being arrested on allegations of murder of QPSR and PGQ guards."

He then spoke Arabic to the other soldiers: "Prepare to arrest them."

More QPRA soldiers came to reinforce. Soon, they were all aiming at the Japs; what would they do?

Soon, another man walked up to where President Mahmoud, Premier Benyamin, and their bodyguards were standing, along with Danish. He wore a white tuxedo and had a keffiyeh, however, he was also wearing a boater hat too, however, it was made out off cotton, it was white with a red stripe going around it. The man had a Christian Cross hanging around his neck. The cross had three lines on the top and on the bottom... The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit... When President Mahmoud saw him, a grin gripped his face. He's here... - But when Premier Benyamin saw him, he was on cloud nine. "Great to see you, friend, brother in Christ! How are you, Dr. Isaac?"

At the site of the Korolenko incident

The first Allaneans began to arrive. They were armed very lightly – some only with pistols, others with carbines slung behind their back. Clearly this was not an armed force intended to conquer or defeat enemies in pitched battle. Instead, most of them scoured the scene, taking extensive photographs of everything. They picked up pieces of shrapnel, photographed the wreckage of the vehicles, and took samples of the blood and gore that were smeared, coagulated, inside the wrecks. A small drone circled overhead, taking aerial photography of the site and its approaches.

Meanwhile, a man in spectacles, wearing a beige desert camouflage uniform, approached the UDC representatives: “Good day, sir. I’m Captain Samuel Michaelson. I’m an investigator with the Free Kingdom Military Police. Do you have any records available for me of the pathology examination of te dead terrorists? Have any documents been found on their bodies?”

Maya began to realize..... The Imperial Army Intelligence in her own words was entirely "full of S**t" and was just about likely to get her squad killed by communists for one "tiny" mistake in intel. Of course how were they to actually know the people guarding the port weren't the religious extremists they came to burn out but QPRA and PSF. Though luckily for Maya another three squads when Maya's own squad arrived to seize the port was up on one of the roofs and already radioing the situation to Admiral Genda, the commander of the Imperial Japanese Military task force of whom himself if noise traveled a lot further could probably be heard in Kyoto cursing the Imperial Military's intelligence service.

Quickly a small boat was lowered into the water just a mile from the port on from the Kii and Admiral Genda would board it with only two guards with him and one translator of whom spoke Arabic to a mild degree. The boat left the side of the ship as quickly as was possible flying the naval insignia of the Imperial Japanese Navy on the front via a small flagpole affixed to the front. Maya herself received a radio signal from the second team of which informed her the Admiral was coming and possibly the General, Kitagou Ayaka would follow behind. Maya motioned for her Tozamas to flip their safeties on but they tightened up their formation of their circle and Maya spoke to the officer. "I apologise but our intelligence was far off, and I must deny your request to take us prisoner, you will have to speak to our commander of whom is on his way right now. I would also not suggest you attempt to make any moves to take us into custody, there is another team up on the warehouse to our west. We will not shoot as long as everyone remains calm. Until then I request you remain where you are until Admiral Genda of our forces arrives... General Ayaka is also likely to come too." Maya lowered her rifle while the Tozamas kept their lowered as well. Maya was indeed right the other squad did have their rifles at the ready but they wouldn't fire unless absolutely "necessary".

Moments later Admiral Genda did arrive his boat mooring near the area, arriving to the exact scene he saw Maya and the Tozamas stood opposite of the QPRA and PSF forces. Letting out a low sigh, barely audible he walked into view and in between Maya and the QPRA and PSF forces. "I am Admiral Ito Genda of the Imperial Japanese Military, what is the problem here?" The admiral said to which his translator, translated to the best of his ability.

Aircraft Carrier Zykeriacho
Flagship of Qaidi Operational Region

"The situation is rapidly deteriorating. There has been an assasination attempt against the Allaean ambassador. A coalition is quickly forming around the so called "Democratic" government. The best solution now would be a quick deployment, I need permission to start the assault on Derna. I need permission from the Central Command that I have full operational control.I need a response as quickly as possible to deal with this situation before it changes even more", said Admiral Priercho

The phone line went quiet for a few minutes as the Admiral, supreme commander of the Victoresian units in Qaidi waited on the bridge of the only Victoresian supercarrier. Suddenly, the line jolted back to life, "The Central Command says they will give you the operational mandate for a 21-day term to capture and establish control of Derna, and mobilize towards Benghazi”. Priercho called his commanders to announce the good news and strategy to.

“Comrades, we have received approval from the Central Command to begin a military operation to establish a bridgehead on the Qaidi coast. We must move forwards with an amphibious landing. The optimal location appears to be Derna at present, the coast further South, Benghazi, Tripoli, and the Nile Delta will be far too well defended. The attack will commence tomorrow morning. This will be a typical amphibious attack. We will open in the pre-dawn hours with a massive bombardment with rockets and missiles. We will then deploy our aircraft to establish air superiority. After establishing air superiority we will send in our first wave by air with helicopters with assault helicopters staying behind to defend it and the transports relaying troops. The second wave will consist of a series of landing craft hitting the beach on the Western side of the city to attack with full force. Once force will head West to seize the crossroads of Abraq and the Road to Benghazi. Another group will move across the Wadi Darnah and rush towards the airfield at Martuba. Once these sites are secured we will push into the desert to establish a perimeter around the city itself and start flying in more troops into Martuba”.

Most of the deputy commanders nodded in agreement to the plan and turned to leave. One man, a political commissar leaned forward in protest. “Comrade Admiral, while I don’t doubt your strategy for the capture of Derna. Should we not be cooperating with our comrades in the QPSR?”

“Direct Cooperation with the QPSR is currently impossible. They have committed a direct act of terrorism against a state, something we cannot be directly associated with. Currently the best proposal is to create a separate branch of the QPSR loyal to Victores and our version of socialism. Derna will be the temporary capital of our parallel group” said another man, tall with distinctively Kokobeian features dressed in the uniform of a member of the FSB.

OOC: This is my first post in a proper forum RP and not an RMB RP so be gentle and if you have any suggestions please telegram me.
IC:
Forward Operating Base Cameron, Assiut Int’l Airport, Qaidi
The situation wasn’t good, most of the troops and equipment would take at least two to three weeks to be flown in and it would take at least a few days after that for his forces to become combat effective thought, General Collins. The overall strategic situation was no better with an invasion from the Victores flotilla a distant possibility, and civil war threating to break out at any moment.

“Sir” The general turned away from the documents he was reading, to look at who just asked for him.
“Yes, Major?”
“Sir, the first of the transports will arrive within the hour, and the first of the bombers will arrive by the end of the day”
“Is that all Major?”
“No sir, we have gotten word that Allanean ambassador's convoy has been attacked and details are still sketchy”
“Just what we needed more bad news, do they know who attacked the ambassador?”
“Not yet sir, but the QPRA and UDC are blaming each other and it could get ugly”
“Is that everything Major?”
“Yes Sir”
“You're dismissed”
Collins saluted the major and the major saluted back and then left

Great the situation has just gone from bad to worse, but at least the situation hadn’t spiralled completely out of control yet. The transports and bombers arriving was the only good news Collins had received all day. But at least with the bombers, he could finally get involved in this fight.

OOC: Oops sorry about that Qaidi, but thanks for the heads up

OOC: Altos, the Sultanate Remnant has a truce with the UDC, everyone is at peace... officially. Of course, outside the cities, there are skirmishes. Maybe you should go after the Sharia Coalition as they instigate most of these skirmishes.

A civilian truck which was behind the convoy was also caught in the fight, all three persons inside it died.

QPAF and QPRA forces protected the area. When the Allaneans got to the area, their investigation was delayed. An officer said to them: "We have had an incident in the joint-administered-and-controlled area. For your safety, you'll be unable to start your investigation until the situation is resolved."

Bodies were searched by soldiers and if they had no information or documents, they were taken away to be buried.

Dr. el-Rahman, President Mahmoud al-Akbar, and Premier Benyamin Khalid Al-Hamid greeted the Allanean. The Premier told the man: "No documents have been found."

Derna, the next day

It was 2 in the morning. Most of the PSF guards were asleep. Ahmad al-Khalid - an officer - took a walk along the beach. He had a Desert Eagle, his favourite pistol. 'Another normal day,' he thought.

When Admiral Genda arrived, the officer gave a response to the Admiral's question, in Japanese: "I have no need for your translator," he said. "You have come into PGQ-QPSR join-administered territory, your soldiers are under arrest for the murder and attempted murder of Provisional People's Police and Provisional Security Force guards, along with Qaidi People's Red Army and Qaidi Provisional Armed Forces soldiers."

As he said this, ten men came behind the Japanese. Soon, they were surrounded. The men pointed their weapons at the Japanese, "You are under arrest on charges of infringement, assault, murder, and attempted murder. Drop your weapons and put your hands in the air," he said as a sniper team covered the area. The sniper set his sights on the Japs in the warehouse. Maya should not have told...

Approaching Qaidi Territorial Waters- 0100 hours.

The journey had been long due to rough sea's and and unexpected order to halt mid course to the objective. However, with calm seas and a good tail wind for most of the journey made short work of the final stretch of the voyage. On board the Taloncourse command ship the bridge staff hurried about making final preparation for the eventual operation. The fleet moved into formation placing the weaker ships to the center with various other support and defensive vessels while the larger more heavily armed ships too to making a wedge. pulling up the rear were the Mass Munition vessels preparing their missile bays for deployment of their payload. In all the fleets signature black hulls and dim red lights cut visual detect rates and specially designed aft covers helped to cut through the water with less turbulence and reduced its wake. It also provided those on board with less roughness onboard the vessels as they busied about their respective duties. Once they arrived they would send the original Falcon class vessels back home.

On the decks of the Taloncourse the first wave of bombers had finished their pre-flight checks and had their munitions loaded into the internal missile holds while the air escort fighters on the two adjacent decks too to the skies ahead of time to sweep the local air space and to provide quick real time ground recon back on the Taloncourse. Meanwhile, landing craft and rapid deployment attack helicopters where made ready on the various flight decks of the other vessels.

"All pre-operations checks are complete! Satellite images show light to little possible resistance at the designated beach heads and forward advance routes. Secondary routes show greater possible resistance from local and foreign forces. Terrain suggests possible reinforcements of said forces are likely to begin once initial attack is commenced at the 1st, 3rd and 5th hardpoint objectives. Tactical command has recommended a missile bombardment with High Explosive Thermite warheads on those hardpoints as well as close in air attack formations to try and capitalize on the weakened and confused troops in this location with a focus on destroying or incapacitating equipment and supply depots. Secondary option is to include rapid deployment of troopers with the close air formations to address the infantry in those locations as well. Force coordination is paramount to successful initial operations. Tactical command has stressed against the use of heavy armor on track due to loose sand in the operations zone- APC deployment will land along side infantry units at beach heads and move to secure landing zones and push forward to the nearest coastal urban zone and move to secure the city and begin fortifications of pre-designated buildings to set up anti-aircraft systems."

The Command Officers- CS Command Trooper Unit 882-CU- carefully examined the available intelligence and gave his finally authorization to commence the operation.

"All green lights to engage... Initial deployment vessels are to return to garrison. I expect reports as soon as safe."

With his word sent all the moving parts that had just previously been still kicked into gear as aircraft after aircraft took to the skies, landing craft deployed towards the beach heads and the ominous Mass Munition ships with payloads armed launched a full salvo all at once. 12 ships-10 bays- 5 missiles a bay for a grand total of 600 high altitude descending kinetic amplified missiles took to the heavens above before making their turns to there targets- the Allanean forces as indicated then group by group the missiles split apart 200 to each designated hard point. Once above their targets they shut down their motors and entered a guided free fall until they lined up directly above the strike zones and re-ignited their boosters and rocketed back to earth at break neck speeds even for a cruise missile.

At the beach heads the Landing craft approached under the blanketing cover of the bombing runs that would hopefully clear their landing zones of the resistance they saw on the recon footage of the fighters. Directly over head was the close in air attack formations making a bee-line for the nearest hardpoint which should have been getting bombing at that very moment. Once in range of the beach heads the landing crafts twin GAU-88 miniguns opened fire at anything that still moved on the beaches.

With this the opening move of the Raven Corporation was set and moving and those back on the Taloncourse watched and prepared for the inevitable counter-attack that was sure to follow...

“This is very suspicious,” – the Allanean said. “It is in keeping with the fact that there’s been groups of people posing as UDC fighters attacking Muslims recently. Can you tell me about the safety procedures which were used under the Sultan’s government to retain control over explosives stockpiles? In particular, has there been any use of taggants that would allow one to track down the specific production batch of the explosive?”

Qaidi

The attack by Raven Corps was unexpected, like lightning from the clear sky. The missiles impacted around the investigation site. Within seconds, most of the military police team were killed or injured, their trucks and jeeps either torn to shreds by the detonations or flipped by the explosions. Dozens of missiles impacting around the deployment areas, with literally more enemy missiles targeted at the Allanean forces than the Allaneans had deployed troops – it was not possible for the force to remain intact.

Everything burned. The few survivors – less than half a dozen men, only miraculously remaining alive from the incredible bombardment – crawled for shelter, some hiding in the ditches at the roadside, others sheltering in the wreckage of the trucks.

Within several days, the very sight of the Korolenko incident became the sight of yet another pointless murder[/b].

At Sea

The missiles descended towards the Allanean ships, and almost immediately electronic warfare systems came alive to attempt and deceive the enemy missiles, deploying decoys and infra-red flares. From the air defense escort that accompanied the battlegroup, missile after missile was launched to try and shoot down the vast wave of oncoming missiles.

But even with the vast armament deployed, it was simply not possible to shoot everything down. Impacts rocked the Vigilant, smoke enveloping the aircraft carrier’s superstructure, its deck pierced, its hangars filled with smoke, its radomes broken apart by the impacts like fine china kicked by a rowdy child.

The escorts fared even worse. The air defense cruiser had expended everything it had to fight off the attack on the fleet – two hundred and fifty empty VLS cells remained, with only CIWS guns to greet the enemy missiles as they dove towards it, like falcons to the prey. But with this manner of attack, this did not matter, there were simply too many to deflect. Explosions rumbled throughout the long, flat vessel as at least three dozen impacts rolled through its hull within several seconds. In those moments, over fifteen dozen sailors lost their lives. The survivors, choking on the toxic smoke given off by burning metal and missile fuel, could only cover their ears in terror at the mind-shattering noise as thousands of tons of burning steel tore themselves into two, water rushing through the ravaged ship as it vanished beneath the waves.

The destroyers perished too. One of them simply exploded, a missile finding its way into its artillery ammunition storage, the 155mm gun turret tearing itself and thrown through the air, tumbling as it went. With the front of the ship gutted, it began to simply sink, the surviving crew donning safety jackets and hopping overboard. The other was pierced right through, and the water was rushing in it through several vast gaps. The bulkheads were shut off to the compromised areas – and the crew were, of course, preparing an evacuation, with the ship already lost.

Finally, the enemy weapons found the fleet’s arsenal ship. With the vast payload of munitions and missile fuel it carried, the ship simply vaporized itself, a vast pillar of smoke and steam rising from the place where an arsenal ship had just been, the roar of the explosion audible for hundreds of miles as hundreds of tons of munitions were annihilated.

What remained of the battlegroup – burned, damaged – began to retreat. Only the submarine, the FKS Themistocles remained, invisible to the foe, 400 yards below.

The officer paused, almost unable to say something... "You'll need to ask the f*cking PSF about that. I don't really know the old Sultanate did, but, I think that most of their bases were bombed by Allanea, during the Sultan's Autumn. My friend told me that some of those weapons, bombs, and other military tech were saved and evacuated, I don't know whose hands they're in now."

Before the officer could say anything else, he paused again. He looked up into the sky. "Allah..." he said as another man shouted: "Missiles!" He and other soldiers began running, but it was too late, the bombs hit. It went black... then; his eyes sprung open, he was in deep pain. He was on the ground, prone. He couldn't get up. he crawled to a toppled radio, where another man was laying in pain. The officer soon screamed as he looked at his left arm; it was unrecognizable. Bleeding, it had deep wounds, he could even see the bone. But, he had feared something worse than death, he crawled and crawled before finally reaching the toppled radio. There was a sound coming from it: "Shawish (Sergeant), shawish, can you hear me?"

Before he could grab the radio, he heard a voice: "Don't move..." he froze, thinking of what to do. He could not see the man's face. The man had no trace of an Arabic accent. Actually, he had a hint of Scottish. Soon, He heard the sound of a pistol loading, immediately, he tried to grab a Makarov in front of him; by the radio. A boot stepped on his hand, however. "Aaah!" he shouted for help. The shout was loud enough for it to go on the radio, the man on the other side responded: "Shawish? Shawish?"

Soon, he heard a bang! The man who had just shot the officer walked off. But, the officer was still alive, he crawled slowly to the radio, he said: "Help, we need help..." He was just about to say more before another Bang was heard. His vision immediately turned black. Slowly... slowly... he started to see a shining light, a spec of it...

If you wish to attempt to take them into custody then By all means please try putting a hand on one of them, I won't stop you. But I'd not recommend it. If you wish to try and take them then it's your own choice, what happens to you is not an issue with me. But I'd recommend you simply report this to your superiors and have them take it up with the Shogun, I know from experience she will take such an action such as attempting to take her own troops prisoner as a personal insult. Maya bowed her head to Admiral Genda and stood straight up afterwards. "Yes. We will. But we will not be taken prisoner and should any attempt be made to disarm us we will defend ourselves as we see fit." Maya spoke and looked past Admiral Genda adjusting her glasses to which Admiral Genda turned back around to face the officer. "That is all I can do. Only the Shogun or a Regent can order them to give up their arms. And I should keep in mind for you, surrender for a Japanese soldier, whether they be IJA or IJRG is highly dishonourable... And I believe you know for most of us as a belief their is only one way to restore one's honour in that case. ...You'd have them captured but you'd not have them alive. It would ultimately be a fruitless effort. All I can do is give a verbal reprimand, it'd be up to the Shogun as far as actual punishment goes to deliver sentence on that." Admiral Genda was of course right. The IJRG more than the IJA or IJN for that matter prized their honour as warriors above all else... And wouldn't be hesitant to take their own lives. ...It was best to just let the higher ups fight it out.

OOC: This went from 0-100 real quick. And yes I am aware that this is a wall of text, is there a better way to write this?.

12,000 meters above eastern Qaidi, E-767AS Variegatum Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Aircraft “Callsign Panther” 0:59 Hours

“New radar contact bearing 320 range 322 Km speed 800 km/h”
What? The radar controller quickly checked his maps and charts. Adjusting his radar set he concluded it was not a phantom radar return, then before he could say anything to his commander his radar set went nuts.
“New radar contact bearing 320 range 322 Km speed 800 km/h”
“New radar contact bearing 320 range 322 Km speed 800 km/h”
“New radar contact bearing 320 range 322 Km speed 800 km/h”
“New radar contact bearing 320 range 322 Km speed 800 km/h”
“New radar contact bearing 320 range 322 Km speed 800 km/h”

And it was not stopping, soon there were ten then there were twenty and it was approaching thirty before he was able to say anything.
He looked around for his commander he found him nearby.
“Sir we have a serious problem!” The radar controller said.
The commander hurried over and looked at his radar screen, the color began to drain from his face as the radar contacts continued to increase, it was approaching one hundred by now. These must be missiles based on the speed and the climb rate the commander concluded.
“Sir the first missiles are beginning to turn and split up some of them are heading Southwest and some of them are heading west”
“Wait, wasn’t a foreign task force in the Mediterranean, from Allanea?”
“Could we warn them, maybe we can raise them on the guard channel?” The commander asked the radar controller.
“I’ll try Sir,” The radar controller said.
The radar controller spoke into the radio. “Allanean task force you have inbound missiles, I repeat you Allanean task force you have inbound missiles.”
“Did they get it?” The commander asked.
“No, I’m being jammed” The radar controller replied
“Can we still transmit over our secure frequencies?” The commander asked the radar controller.
“By some stroke of luck, we can they aren’t jamming them” the radar controller replied.
“We need to contact high command, maybe they can warn the Allanean task force.”

Forward Operating Base Cameron, Assiut Int’l Airport, Qaidi 0105 Hours

There was a frantic knock at the door following by urgent voice that said “General Collins wake up, General wake up” The general woke up quickly and answered the door and asked what is it.
“Sir Panther is reporting they are now tracking six hundred new radar contacts that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.” The visitor said.
Okay let’s get going major, Collins replied.
“Did Panther say what they were tracking or do they not know what they are tracking yet?” Collins asked the major.
“They believe they are missiles based on their speed and climb rate” The major said.
The general swore.
“Have they identified they direction or directions the missiles are travelling in?” Collins asked the major.
“Sir they have, they say missiles are beginning to split up suggesting multiple targets. They also think they have identified one of the possible targets the missiles are headed for” The major replied.
“What is the target they have identified?” Collins asked the major.
“They have, they believe the Allanean task force is a possible target”
The Collins stopped and looked at the major.
“Have they been able to contact the Allanean task force?” Collins asked the major.
“No Sir, they tried to contact them on the guard frequency but Panther believes that frequency is being jammed” The major replied.
“Do we have any other way of contacting the Allaneanians?” Collins asked the major.
“No Sir” The major replied.
“Okay back to the missiles have we been able to identify any other possible targets?” Collins asked the major.
They arrive at the command centre.
“Some of the missiles appear to be descending toward the Korolenko Incident Site” The major said.
The general swore again.
“Is there any other bad news?” Collins asked
“Yes, sir Panther is reporting new radar contacts, but these are lower and slower than the missile contacts” The major replied.
“Can Panther identify these new contacts?” Collins asked the major.
“One Second Sir,” The major said.
“Panther is reporting in all probability these are planes” The major replied.
“Okay well we need to do something,” Collins said.
“Have all the fighters and fighter-bombers arrived, and are the two tankers still up?” Collins asked the major.
“Yes, Sir the last of the fighters arrived yesterday” The major replied.
“Okay scramble all of them, have the F-22’s and F-15’s loaded for CAP and for the F-16’s load half of them with harpoon missiles and load the other half with bombs, and alert the navy,” Collins said.
"Have them scramble the Voca too," Collins added.
"Yes, Sir" The major replied.

The first two planes leapt off the runway on full afterburner toward an unknown but hostile force.

HMS Etsch, Grid Reference Charlie November 3869

HMS Etsch, one of the Diamant-class Fleet Service Ships of the Imperial and Royal War Navy had been slowly ambulating around the southern side of Sicily for the past month, they had recorded movements, allied, neutral and civilian alike throughout their patrolled rayon. The work was meticulous and uneventful so far, with nothing worth reporting to fleet headquarters in Pola. This relative inactivity came to a thundering end though this January morning, as the long range passive sensor arrays on board the vessel picked up first 20, then 40 and then eventually over 600 objects making their way through to the Allanean fleet east of them. This massive volley of hostile fire was traced to tracks in theatre Imperial and Royal War Navy assets had established to a dozen or so large barges and container vessels, all of which were now designated in a violently red colour. Other than these classification and reporting efforts the twin battlegroups of the Imperial and Royal War Navy and Imperial Fusō Navy off the coast of Malta did nothing else, or appeared to be doing nothing else for now.
Just beneath the waves however, trailing behind their major surface units was five Type 229 SSGN's, the quietest, most heavily armed fast attack submarine on this side of the planet, they now proceeded at their patrol speeds eastwards until they could make sonar contact with the targets. Above the surface Hochseestreitkräfte „Herzogin von Braunschweig und Lüneburg, Fürstin von Calenberg“ dispersed into their wartime formations, forming what appeared to be four different battlegroups to an orbiting radar satellite but was actually the two carrier groups and two surface action groups, both steaming in directions opposite to each other, one into a low pressure zone with dense cloud cover and the other directly eastwards at their best speeds to the last reported positions of the Allaneans. 30,000 feet above this dance the orbiting Hawkeye MAEW.4's of the Maria Theresia battlegroup transited directly south to almost over Qaidian airspace and recovered to their carrier by deception points.

Miles ahead of the surface action group going eastward HMS Memel, another Diamant-class Fleet Service Ship which had been patrolling north of the Egyptian-Libyan border was also making its best speeds to where the Allanean battlegroup were, their being the furthest from the remainder of the Hochseestreitkräfte they arrived first to a scene of devastation. Without further delay they came to a stop, dropped their four boats stored aboard and started picking up survivors.

02:10 (am)

The officer's (walkie-talkie) radio buzzed as something came out of it: "All units, this is Beach Patrol 12, we have encountered an unknown force attacking us. It has been reported that the site of the Korolenko Incident has been bombed." The officer, who was in the QPRA, looked at Gento: "Kill them." Just before the men fired, an QPAF officer shouted: "Wait, PSF and QPAF forces, hold your fire. We will not fire on these people, although we do support the arrest of them. We are leaving.

"So," the QPRA officer said. "Go on, I'll deal with your cowardice later. Rotten imperialist capitalists." He spat on the ground. The QPAF and PSF forces walked off. The QPRA officer turned to Gento again, "Fire!"

All the QPRA and PPP forces fired. The sniper team (QPRA) on the building fired at the men in the warehouse. There was mass fire as QPAF troops maneuvered to counter a new unknown force's invasion.

The situation in Qaidi had not gone un-noticed by the watchful eyes of the Vektan General Intelligence Agency (VGIA) many agents had been watching through back channels and covert agents within the nation to get a grip of what was happening, but now the covert agents were dead or gone into hiding and the back channels were rapidly closing. Agent Nikita made his way through the halls of the VGIA to find his supervisor, "Sir?" He asked tentatively of the old man sat behind the large mahogany desk as he peered round the corner of the, surprisingly, open door. "Come in Nikita." The man said and Nikita did as ordered marching down the room and snapping to attention in front of the mans desk, "At ease, what is it Comrade?" The old man asked. Nikita stepped into ease and looked at the man in front of him, "Comrade Colonel the situation in Qaidi seems to be degenerating fast. As far as we can tell an unknown force is attacking any force who seeks to intervene and is also targeting the Qaidi people as well. There is still peace in the country but for how long we do not know." Nikita stopped talking as the Colonel leaned back in his chair his pen gently being laid down on the desk in front of him. Colonel Kemp looked at the man and smiled, "I will inform the Emperor Comrade. Perhaps he will know what to do. Any suggestions on who to support and how?"
"Comrade Colonel I would suggest supporting the People's Coalition with troops and military material. They control the Western Half of the country and we can easily deploy there before helping them to make a push on the capital from their territory." Nikita spoke quickly using the rehearsed suggestion he and his fellow agents had made just an hour before. "Good Comrade, now be gone I have to make a phone call."

Maya quickly rushed forward and kicked the QPRA officer in his stomach before the Fudai, and Tozamas began firing on the QPRA forces while Admiral Genda was pulled down to the ground by his translator pulling his Type 14 nambu from the holster firing on the QPRA forces as well, while this was happening the second IJRG team moved from their position, spreading out and firing on the QPRA forces wounding some and killing only a slight handful before the firefight was noticed by General Kitagou Ayaka of whom was about to arrive in the area via an IJA variant of a black hawk helicopter, painted in desert colours. "Shit... Looks like the situation isn't going well. Pull back and we'll send in the main force." General Ayaka said to the pilot while she looked out the front windscreen of the helicopter, having it turn back to the fleet where on the way she radioed for an artillery barrage to begin on the warehouses at port.

Meanwhile, Maya, her squad and the second squad pulled Admiral Genda and his translator to the furthest dock out, using boxes and metal shipping containers for cover, the Admiral was almost fatally wounded but thankfully he wasn't. And as QPRA forces converged on the dock, a whistle could be heard above and suddenly explosions rained shrapnel down on the QPRA forces... That was the Japanese Navy's own anti-infantry weapon, a modified type 3 anti-aircraft shell. Specifically created to rain hot shrapnel down on enemy positions, afterwards Japanese naval LCACs could be seen from the port descending on the area with a large force of helicopters dropping infantry in the port and around it, Admiral Genda would be evacuated to the Kii and would be taken to nearby Ostmark for medical attention on the other side of the Mediterranean..

Word would reach the Shogun soon after and as expected, she would be... Displeased to say the least. Not only had the QPRA attempted to capture one of her best squads and squad leaders, they attempted to kill the head of the navy too. This would be the opening salvos to more than just a simple war against fascists and religious extremists... Now it was an extermination of fascists, religious extremists, and now communists.

Good Morning, you wretched communist scum. I am as you should be aware, Shogun Mitsurugi Meiya, the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces and undisputed leader of the Empire of Japanese Pacific States. It has come to my attention, forces under your apparent "control" have attempted to not only take members of the Imperial Japanese Royal Guard captive but have also attempted to MURDER the head of the Imperial Japanese Navy, Admiral Ito Genda, and the previously mentioned members of the Imperial Japanese Royal Guard including, Vassal Retainer Maya Tsukuyomi, Fudai Yui Takamura, Tozama Noto Isumi, Tozama Yamashiro Kazusa, Tozama Kai Shimako, and Tozama Iwami Aki, you should note that Vassal Retainers, Fudai, and Tozamas are vassal samurai to the Regency Council of Japan and myself. As such your attempted capture and murder of my vassals is without question should be one of the FEW reasons to purge your worthless kind into the depths of hell but you have pushed it a step further by attempted MURDER of the head of the Imperial Japanese Navy. As it stands now we shall not have any future reservations of killing your kind off. Of which is what we intend to do now.
Signed. The Shogun of The Empire of Japanese Pacific States, Head of State, Government, and Military, Her Imperial Majesty, Shogun Mitsurugi Meiya

Look here, you have come into the jointly administered territory without no one's approval! Although we would gladly fight, we will choose the path for peace instead. Send an ambassador here, or we can send one to Tokyo. We will negotiate on payment of reparations to the Shogun and to the QPSR and PGQ men who were killed. Let us take the road of peace, rather than the road of unnecessary destruction.

Al-Habanah, 02:15

Luckily, no QPRA man was killed during the Maya escape attempt. The QPRA regrouped. The PGQ was informed of this. Of course, the QPSR had no idea it was the PGQ who invited the Japanese to conduct operations. The same was with the PGQ soldiers, who were just as confused as the QPSR.
