Haiqal bin Ali albanu Akhbarulassam Hospital, Tripoli
13th April 2018, 10:24 p.m.

The Royal Islamic Morality Police no longer operated in PGQ territory, most people thought. After all, it had been reformed under the missing Sultan's son. However, while the RIMP did not operate in the PGQ, there was a new unit of the Moral Police that did. Jamajim Al-Naar - or Fireskulls - it was called. However, it was normally mentioned as JAN. Its operatives: highly trained and professionally equipped. They had Nightvision Goggles which could be switched to Thermal vision or turned off. Their weapons, UMPs along with VP9s. They wore pitch black with no insignias or logos. Their boots were made with steel to stop injuries from falling objects on the foot. Finally, they wore balaclavas and black gloves. They normally went on eliminate-and-burn missions against Jihadists and Communists. This time, they were going against a pro-Japanese Qaidi militia. The Sultanate Remnant had recognised the threat the Japanese Pacific States posed to the region. They had not met with the Japanese yet nor proved that they were for or against the Japanese. However, after they had seen the PGQ try to fight back against the Japanese and lose, they were going for another type of operation... Special Operations.

One of the special operators - X21 - slowly and silently walked down one of the hospital corridors. They had lockpicked the lock on the front door of the hospital and entered. The hospital had been turned into a militia base, aiding the wounded militiamen. Their leader was supposedly sleeping upstairs, being guarded. He had to die. X21 was followed by more special operators of JAN. They soon started moving quickly and cleared the first floor of the hospital, killing all men found sleeping with their suppressed UMPs. Now, they were going to go up. X21 was the first. Soon, they picked up the speed. Fast walking through the second floor, they eliminated nearly fifty militiamen. When they got to the third floor, they saw that there were awake guards guarding the militia captain's room. X21 quickly fired his UMP at the guard on the left, landing a bullet on his head and killing him. A JAN operative followed behind him and eliminated the other guard. Soon, they broke down the door and barged into the room. "Who... who are you?" the militia captain shouted. "Your deliverers," X21 responded. "To whom?" the militia captain questioned, bewildered. "To Allah," he said as he covered the now screaming captain's face with a pillow and fired his VP9 into it. After that, he signalled the other operatives to follow the plan. As he left the room, another JAN operative fired his UMP all over the captain to make sure he was dead. The other operatives began burning the hospital. By morning, it was a pile of ruins.

In PGQ-controlled Benghazi, two weeks after the previous events

Among the trade ships and aid vessels that were arriving into Benghazi's port, were also two majestic cargo ships, flagged with the Allanean flag, the Behemoth and the Shabrang. They were armed, of course, as even civilian vessels oftentimes were, with CIWS guns and missile launchers, and camouflaged men walked back and forth on their decks. A small frigate escorted them, but even this did not mean anything, per se, in these waters, infested as they were with terrorists and human traffickers. Yet an astute observer would notice something greater was afoot.

USVs darted back and forth around the vessels – small, dark-grey autonomous boats, with machineguns swiveling atop of them, controlled by remote. In harbor, Allanean agents began to appear, and airliners filled with uniformed Allanean soldiers were landing in the airport. And, at last, the ships entered harbor.

The freighters were enormous – each four hundred meters long. They maneuvered slowly, ponderously towards the harbor. Now as approached, one of them began to open up, a vast ramp lowering onto the pier. The other – a container ship – pulled up to where the cranes were being made ready for it. Allaneans – the very soldiers who had arrived earlier by airliner – were now making it up the ramp.

The Behemoth seemed to roar, a sound emanating from deep within its monstrous belly. It was the roar of dozens of engines being woken to life by their drivers, thousands of horsepower at once being woken.

And then the first of the vehicles appeared.

It was a tank, its turret turning ominously as it seemed to crawl out of the darkness within the ship. It scanned – to the right, then to the left, then finally pointing it turret forward again, as if the commander within it was making certain that Benghazi's harbor was not a trap.

It would be only the first of its kind, as the Behemoth held hundreds of vehicles within its belly – tanks, fighting vehicles, and, perhaps more importantly, enormous trucks, tank transporters that would ferry the tracked vehicles to their destination, that would carry ammunition, water, and food for them. They poured forward, two abreast, from the vast ship, and they moved forward for hours and hours. To ease the workload, some vehicles were hefted off the deck by crane, but even so, unloading would take several days.

This was the coming of a new addition to Allanea's Task Force Qaidi, a force never seen before in neither Qaidi Crisis – no longer a Special Forces company, nor even Airborne Infantry or air strikes. Now the Allaneans were bringing in a weapon which was to their previous involvement, like a sword is to a dagger.

*

"Men of the 764th Tank Division!" – Major-General Robert Hough spoke. Sweat formed on his face in the Benghazi heat, the air itself seemed to burn him as he began, and he did his best not to squint as he looked out at the division in front of him – a vast square of men and women in yellowish desert camouflage. Thousands of bayonets, black and unpolished, moved as the division's soldiers raised their rifles, holding them at port arms – the rifle's stock on their right hand, the bayonet pointing leftwards over their shoulder.

Men, we have arrived in Qaidi!

As we deploy, we will aid the people of this nation and the members of our coalition in tearing aside the vile, murderous human refuse who are even now sinking their teeth and claws into the very flesh of innocents. These are the very people who have murdered our diplomatic workers, slaughtered doctors and nurses, attacked members of our coalition, cannibals, rapists, slavers, the most disgusting creatures that sapient-kind has beheld.

Some of them describe themselves as "Communists", others as Ïslamists", others as "Fascist". There is fuck-all difference between what they do. The Communists use children as human shields and living weapons, torture Coalition soldiers, and murder civilians left and right. The Fascists seek to oppress and murder everyone who does not belong to their 'ethnic' group. The Islamists attack hospitals with chemical weapons, trade in slaves to support their 'Sharia state' and threaten violence against the Free Kingdom itself. In other words, it's the same type of shit, coming from a different asshole.

We are here to clean up. We are the pressure hose. We will go through their People's Republics and Sharia States like a steam cleaning machine over a sidewalk. We are the 764th Tank Division! And we are going to sweep the garbage off our path and leave a clean desert behind us!

Hurrah!

Thousands of throats responded.

Hurraaaaah!

The Imperial Ministry of War, Kyoto, Mainland Japan, The Empire of Japanese Pacific States
6:43 AM, May 4th 2018

Two out of the four regency council members took their seats while Shogun Mitsurugi took her own seat, looking down the opposite end of the table, a flat screen tv stood turned on showing Regent Takatsukasa, Regent Ikaruga, and in between them, General Ayaka in her black uniform.
"So what is there to be reported thus far from the situation in Qaidi?" Shogun Mitsurugi asked and Ayaka was the first to speak up. "Thus far everything is proceeding according to plan, however there are rumours that the sultanate is indirectly or possibly even directly involved with attacks on militias rising across Qaidi in support of the Imperial Army, as such, we have directed that any and all militias rising to join us should relocate to Japanese controlled territory, we are implementing a new tactic of creating a Japanese sanctioned force supplied and commanded by us. Hence the increase of supplies we've asked for, including ammunition, weapons, and basic kits as well as uniforms. I am personally overseeing their training so that they are atleast halfway to the standards I hold my men to." Ayaka said to which Meiya could only smile.

"Very good, General. You honour your nation, your family, and yourself with making use of the tools you have on hand. ...The supplies shall be granted." Shogun Mitsurugi said to which Ayaka simply bowed her head. "However, your majesty... There is another issue." Ayaka said which raised Meiya's curiosity. "Oh? What would this issue be?" Meiya asked. "I believe that the communists, jihadis, and fascists are going to launch a major military strike against the empire, here in Al-habanah." Ayaka said, to which surprised even Regent Takatsukasa and Ikaruga. "Are you sure?" Meiya asked to which Ayaka bowed her head. "Yes ma'am. However I've deduced this military strike isn't likely to come soon. We've decimated most of their forces in this sector, it's likely they'll have to draw from other sectors to commit to this strike. So I suspect, mid to late august. Early august if the sultanate is supporting them." Ayaka reported.

Meiya knew Ayaka too well, she knew that she was confidant in her assessment of the situation, she had been right before, many a times. "Hmm... Then we will scare the Sultanate into submission." Shogun Mitsurugi said to which a smirk donned on Ayaka's face. "What do you have in mind, your majesty?" Ayaka asked to which quickly replied. "I shall write a communique to the leader of whatever remains of the Sultanate, reminding him of the danger of making a foe out of the Japanese Empire, and to inform him of our assessment of the situation. ....And that should our assessment be correct, then we shall indeed neutralise the threat as we have with the communists, fascists, and the jihadis." Meiya said to which Ayaka bowed her head once again. "I shall make the necessary arrangements on my end, however I believe we should have reinforcements sent here, should a larger conflict with the sultanate be unavoidable." Ayaka said, Meiya of course agreed.

"You said, that it was likely that the communists, jihadis, and the fascists wouldn't be able to launch an effective offensive until mid to late august at the latest. So we shall send another wave of troops to join you, they will set sail for Qaidi in mid July, they'll reach Qaidi in likely early mid august. Just in time for the death throws of those pitiful factions." Meiya said do which a smirk donned on Ayaka's face. "Of course your highness, and we will be well prepared, the sewers are booby trapped already, the IJN is on alert at all times, our troops are combat hardened... We will be victorious." Ayaka said rather confidantly. "Right. ...Then that is all for this meeting." Meiya picked up the tv remote and turned it off, effectively ending the meeting.

Port Qadir, Al-Habanah
4th May 2018; 0950 Hours

A Ford Cortina Mk. III rolled up to the port gates. Qaidis were known to love antique cars, mainly from the mid-1920s to the late-1980s, before Qaidi banned importing foreign cars, during the 'Islamisation Years' and copied cars already there by making small modifying features to them and marketing them as 'Qaidi Made'. This is also exemplified by many Qaidis wearing Fedoras and suits, which were family heirlooms gifted from father to son. Even the RIMP used S.I. Automobiles, which were named after Sultan Ismail, currently missing in Darus. Surrounding the Cortina were Arabia Cars, which were popular cars for the poor population when its products first came out. Inside, the Japanese guards guarding the gates were able to see there were men with Keffiyehs along with army vests.

The Cortina pulled up to the gate, where a guard was stationed. The Japanese guard, Kimura Moromao, walked up to the limo-tinted windows of the car. He could barely see the driver - in the right seat - inside the car. He knocked on the window softly as to not even deliver the smallest of scratches to the window. Meanwhile, one of the Japanese guards loaded his weapons as he prepared to fire on the car in case the driver was hostile. The driver rolled down the window using the metal window crank of the modified Cortina. While he was slowly during this, tension built up inside Moromao. He looked to the left quickly as he saw the car's metal spoiler. Nice taste, these Qaidis have, he thought to himself. By the time he had finished his thought, the window had been rolled down. "Hello," the Qaidi driver said. Moromao noticed that the driver was wearing a Boater hat made of straw. He had a white suit with sky blue accents, especially the collar. On the driver's desk, there was a pack of 'Al-Siyajar Al-Sultan' - also known as ASAS - which meant Sultan's Cigars, a brand of Cigars preferred by the middle class along with the upper class.

"Sir, please give me your name?" Moromao said in Arabic, with a stern, heavy Japanese accent, mispronouncing many words. For a moment, the driver seemed dumbfounded, before suddenly understanding what the guard had said. All he could give was a cringing smile before quickly taking his documents. "Hamssaqirrak al-Khairy albasnu Jofanakriya," the driver said while handing Moromao his documents. Of course, these documents were from the former Sultanate's era and now had been made null by the new PGQ government, who was producing a new Identification Paper - IP - system. After Moromao read the documents, he gave them back to the driver. "You may enter," he said in crude Arabic as the car soon sped into the Port. The Arabia Cars behind the Cortina followed it, the soldiers inside eyeing the Japanese guards.

The cars parked in the provided parking spaces. Soon, the driver of the Cortina stepped out and opened the backseat door. A man in a silk suit stepped out. It was clear that the driver was actually a chauffeur. General Ayaka was there along with some guards. The silk suited-man shook hands with the General. "It is good to see you, Anwille" General Ayaka said. Suddenly, the troops knew who that man was. It was Anwille bin Niftar albasnu Jamillahuddin, the legendary militia leader of the Anti-Sultanate Rebels Alliance, a party whose views were in line with the Japanese. They were responsible for helping the PGQ militia capture Al-Habanah from the former Sultanate. Without them, the Sultan would still be in power. Another man also stepped out of the car, Jaramillo Allazadora, the Deputy Leader of the militia. Both soon went into Ayaka's tent with her to discuss things...

DAWN - THE NEXT DAY

It was a dark alley. A man stood there, an official. He was surrounded by guards, Fireskulls; JAN... They were armed with skeleton thin balaclavas, made of silk. These fitted the shapes of each of their faces, making them look like skeletons. They wore Night-Vision Goggles, painted into the Skeleton theme. They waited... the Fireskulls were crouching, making a diamond formation around the man, aiming in all angles. Soon, a man walked up to them. At the same time, the official advanced. "Do you have the information?" he said. "Yes," the man replied. "That is good, Jaramillo." the official responded. Allazadora soon started to smile. "Now will you release my daughter?" he said. "Yes," the official responded. "You shall also be released. Your soal from your body." As he said this, he shot Jaramillo with a suppressed pistol. Then, he took the tape and walked off with the guards. Jaramillo looked on as his vision turned to dark.

Jamillahuddin: How many troops are you Japanese sending, General? My forces will be greatly outnumbered by a joint attack by Communists, Jihadists, and Fascists... and maybe even the Sultanate if they join in since we are completely spread out all over Qaidi.

Ayaka: For troops, 50,000 IJA Imperial Army Mainland (Japanese) troops will be coming with 5,000 IJA Japanese-Korea Army troops, 150 IJA Japanese-China Army troops, and 600 IJA Japanese-North America troops will be coming with 35 Type 10 Tanks, 5 Type 16 Maneuver Combat Vehicles (Tank Destroyers), 20 Type 96 Wheeled Armored Personnel Carriers, 10 Type 92 Mine Clearance Vehicles, 10 Type 99 155 mm Self-propelled Howitzers, 4 Type 99 Artillery Support Vehicles, 13 Type 87 Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Guns, 10 Assault Amphibious Vehicles, 5 Type 82 Command and Communication Vehicles, and lastly, 5 M270 MLRS Multiple rocket launchers.

The IJN will also be sending the Battleship Musashi, along with her sister ship Shinano, and multiple transport ships converted from old cruise ships. Around about 5 of them with destroyer escorts, and CAP (Combat Air Patrol) from the Shoukaku III class, Jun'You and Hiyo.

Jamillahuddin: That is very good. I will be rallying my troops. But what is the Japanese plan to defeat our mutual enemies and the PGQ?

Ayaka: As for the Japanese plan, the whole area around port Qadir is being booby trapped and every building nearby evacuated to be laced with explosives, The sewers contain elaborate traps with high explosives and Napalm.

As for Japan's plan for the PGQ, Japan will seek to oust officers loyal to the PGQ and install ones bought off to support the Japanese, if worse comes to worse then Japan will have the officers bought off to support Japan, take part in a military coup to overthrow the government, where the highest ranking official of the Military, subservient to the Japanese will call for greater Japanese support thereby the third wave of reinforcements will be sent likely in October to join under Ayaka, by then if there's any aggression by the Sultanate, the Japanese will move to neutralise the threat with force.

Jamillahuddin: Finally, what about the Krenorussians. I hear they are Western Scum. Will they pose a threat? My men can slaughter them. They're mainly preachers along with volunteers, women, children, and soldiers. Almost like a colonisation mission. They think their 'Jesus' can defend them. 'Jesus', my mother's pussy!

Ayaka: In regards to the Krenorussians, Japan isn't entirely worried about them. I view them as simple bunglers who like other nations of the west, weakly abide by restricting treaties which prevent them from doing what must be done, as well as their... Religion. If anything, if they were to stay out of the way, I would simply ignore them and continue with my and the Shogun's plan. If they were to attempt to intervene, then the Krenorussians at the port would be placed under "protective custody" and interned in their barracks to be watched over by the Imperial Japanese Army.

On the very edge of QPSR territory

The night horizon was lit up by flashes, and a few seconds later, a rumbling noise came, like far-off thunder. It was Allanean artillery, firing from the East. Now that the tank division was here, it began to prepare for its advance. They were dialing up the pressure now, their precision artillery strikes dropping without warning on terrorist convoys and training camps. Nowhere within several dozen miles of the edge of PGQ-controlled land could terrorists be safe. At any time, day or night, a burst of half a dozen artillery shell could be landing on their tents, camps, and technical. Sometimes, an MLRS salvo would come down, with more or less the same effect – explosions, fire, shrapnel, the screams of the injured and the dying.

Within PGQ territory itself, the Allaneans were preparing for their offensive. Vehicles were being checked and refueled, logistics officers planned out the routes of their movement, operational officers planned out the precise curve of the attacks, elegant arrows stretching Westwards along the Mediterranean shore.

In the interim, a message was sent to the PGQ government.

Image

Dear friends!

We are now beginning our operation against the terrorist scum. As you have seen, we have deployed a full-scale ground force deployment. We expect that thet casualties we inflict on the terrorist scumbags will now increase by orders of magnitude. However, we feel that we will not be able to completely secure your country against international terrorism until Qaidi itself takes up a significant role in securing terrorist-controlled territory.

We are willing to issue weapons, uniforms, food, and other necessary items from our warehouses to arm tens of thousands of men in your nation, to train both your soldiers and your citizens to resist terrorism, and provide ample and generous support. What we are not, however, going to do, is try and rescue Qaidi if the people of Qaidi prove unwilling.

As such we are interested in discussing the particulars of programs to both train members of the armed forces and law enforcement to carry out counterterrorist operations, and regular civilians to carry out militia duties and domestic safety patrols, to secure their own villages, towns, schools and hospitals against terror attacks.

Our cause is just.
With your help, victory will be ours.

Yours,
Priscilla Conde,
Free Kingdom Minister of War.

RE: Surrender

To the Honourable Recipient of this Letter:

We recommend that you immediately halt all plans to launch a ground assault on the Qaidi People's Socialist Republic. We do hope though that you continue bombing the QPSR along with its army, the QPRA. The QPSR is sending a representative to Qaidi to negotiate with the government. If you apply pressure with the bombing, they will probably capitulate. However, if you launch a ground assault, we fear it would be too much. You must understand that the QPSR is an alliance of extremists and moderates. If we pressure them too much, the extremists will break off. We don't know what they have planned. So, don't launch a ground assault.

Your offers are all accepted. Thank you.

OOC: I have Devonta's permission to control Devontan trops for the purpose of this RP.

Image

It has long been known that it is the position of the Free Kingdom that the abolition of the QPSR entirely, and its rolling into democratic-controlled Qaidi, with the abolition of the QPRA and especially its child-soldier units, is the sole acceptable solution to the conflict. Inform your counterparts that failure to accept those demands will cause us to destroy whatever elements of the QPRA are still not destroyed.

We will for the next 48 hours commence aerial operations. Should these demands not be met, our division will begin moving East, until we fully clear the land of QPRA terrorists. This is their last choice.

*

There was silence then, as the Allaneans and members of their coalition plotted and planned. Alongside with the Devontans, they fueled their aircraft, checked their weapons, and worked out the next stage of their actions.

They would strike in the evening – strategic bombers flying in from Trieste and Crimea, Devontan and Allanean deck aviation, helicopters from Allanean bases in PGQ territory.

The darkening desert skies hummed with dozens upon dozens of engines.

The helicopters struck first, launching their weapons immediately as they crossed the boundary between the PGQ and QPSR soil. Launched from high altitude, their Rhongomiant missiles reached deep into enemy territory, striking a hundred miles deep through enemy soil.

Overhead, jet fighters and strategic bombers passed at last, dropping bombs from altitudes far beyond the reach of surviving terrorist SAMs. There were 'dumb' bombs, dropped with computerized precision to within a hundred feet of their targets, and GPS-guided 'smart' ones that rode their signal with the precision of a surgeon from miles and miles in their air,.

Then, once again, from Allanean ELINT ships came the broadcast:

Soldiers of the Qaidi People's Revolutionary Army! Men of the Qaidi People's Socialist Republic! Accept the peace offers! Surrender to the UDC government! Embrace democracy or be annihilated![/align]

In response to increasing threats in Al-Hanabah, the Mediaman 1st infantry division was airlifted from Mediama to reinforce the current garrison in Qaidi. Mediaman marines currently in the city were currently increasing their patrols around the city, in conjunction with the Royal Naval engineers, were building up defenses around the city, assisting in what they can with defenses.

Current air sorties were also extended after the resupply of the taskforce was finished. The harriers, now equipped with radar jammers in conjunction to conventional bombs, AIM-7, and Sidewinders, were now extending their reach further inland to scout for enemy movement, and to provide any needed close air support. Helicopters also conducted scans around the harbor for any enemy submarine activity.

On the ground, foot patrols with challenger 1 and warrior armored vehicles became more frequent, among those was one a platoon led by Lieutenant John Briggston, the patrol, mainly consisting of Marine infantrymen, was supplemented with 2 Warrior IFV’s, And 3 M113 APC’s, not very far away was an outpost set up by the Imperial Japanese Army, Though tensions were weigh between the western and eastern armies, they still had one goal to focus on. The defense of democracy within the growing Middle Eastern Nation.

The outpost set up by the IJA was under the command of Fudai Yui Takamura of the Imperial Royal Guard, a IJRG/IJA combined outpost, at one side of the gate stood a Tozama dressed in the standard white uniform with blue trim and combat gear to match. On the otherside of the gate stood a Imperial Japanese Army footsoldier, his uniform in contrast was perfectly camouflaged to the desert. The two watched while the Mediamans came closer, the two's armaments could be very clearly seen, Type 64 Battle Rifles with bayonets affixed. However behind them, the Tozama was told to move out of the way as was the footsoldier, they both did so quickly and a small group of prisoners wearing QPRA uniforms were let go through the gate and began running. Yui came out, her gold and purple trimmed uniform signifying her to be a higher rank than the Tozama at the gate, following behind the prisoners with her own Type 64. "Take aim!" Yui yelled and the Tozama as well as the footsoldier raised their rifles aiming them at the QPRA prisoners.

"Open fire!" Yui yelled and the Tozama as well as the footsoldier fired their rifles, hitting their targets, with one magazine used up for each, the two IJRG and IJA footsoldier had gotten their targets... Well most of them. Only one got away because he was running to the Mediamans. "Psh. ...Hachiman favoured that dog." Yui said and the Tozama nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, Lieutenant." Yui then slung her rifle over her shoulder and returned to the inside of the outpost, this was a common occurrence in IJA occupied territories as the allied forces in Qaidi would see.

Al-Habanah, Qaidi: Near Port Qadir

By now, the Krenorussian non-government civilian militias which accompanied the Krenorussian pastors and preachers along with the civilian volunteers, had started patrolling the area around Port Qadir. Many militiamen carried FN FALs, however, just like the clothes the militiamen - who came from many different militia organisations, some were even all by themselves - wore, the weapons they carried were also very diverse. Their patrolling was extremely efficient, driving around in classic Range Rovers and other offroad vehicles, many of which either had Krenorussian flags on it, the militia's emblem or flag, or both. The Krenorussians soon became a recognisable feature of Al-Habanah. They were given quite a bit of respect from the locals, who trusted them as a neutral force compared to the Coalition - which comprised of factions such as the PGQ, Allanea, Mediama, and other sorts - the Sultanate Remnant, the Sharia Coalition, the QPSR, and the Japanese. The preachers and pastors roamed the streets preaching. Many started to convert. Rallies were starting to be held. The volunteers who accompanied the pastors were going outside of Port Qadir to help set up stalls where free food and water was given out. Many also helped with humanitarian work. Inside the area of the Japanese-controlled Port where the Krenorussians 'lived', many of the Krenorussians had made restaurants, motels, and other businesses out of the abandoned office buildings.

Krenorussian-style belly pork was widely accepted by the Christian Qaidis, with many restaurants being set up both inside and outside the Port. While the Krenorussians were doing all of this, the Mediamen, whose flag had the same Union Jack on the canton that Krenorus' flag had, started patrolling the streets of Qaidi once again. The Krenorussians welcomed this and gave food and beverages to the Mediamen when they saw them. There was one Krenorussian patrol which was patrolling near Port Qadir. It was from the militia group known as the 'Frederickstown Loyal Light Foot', also known as the 'Frederick's Foot'. The five-man squad patrolling, nicknamed 'Burns Squad', since all the squad members had clean shaven faces but had massive sideburns and also because the squad leader's name was Ryker Burns. The squad was, unusually, patrolling on foot today. Their uniforms had patches of the Krenorussian flag and their militia's flag, which was a bright oranged-fired burning green Cross on a plain white background.

As they were heading back, they saw the Japanese firing on prisoners running from the Japanese. Ryker Burns immediately told one of his soldiers - Jimmy Marshalls, the youngest in the group, being only twenty-one years old and looking like eighteen - to run into the Port to the Krenorussian sector to tell the Archpastor about what they saw. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad went to the Mediamen Marines to talk with them. "What the 'ell 'appened, mate?" One of the men, Jasper van Dagen, asked.

One of the Mediaman marines manage to get ahold of the QPRA prisoner, he pulled him into the protection of the platoon as he tried to calm him down. The platoon itself, visibly was startled as they tried to process the first few minutes beforehand.

“VIP diamond formation, afix aboynets!” Yelled out Briggston, as he extended the stock of his Sterling SMG. The marines did as they were told, and the turrets of the IFV’s and M113’s accompanying them swiveled toward the Japanese, the Lieutenant held up his fist and yelled out “Hold!” He was about to turn to his subordinate before he felt someone tugging on his arm. He turned, only to find a man wearing a greenish, camouflaged uniform to him, with his flag making him apparent that he wasn’t from his platoon. He was asking what was happening, and so the lieutenant slung his SMG down, the gun hanging horizontally, he replied, being slightly visibly shaken himself.

“It appears the Japanese have been at it again, they’ve just executed some prisoners right out in the open. You saw it yourself.” Briggston turned to look toward the Japanese post, seeming to surprisingly have taken no action against the platoon yet, despite the barrels being aimed at them. “Frankly, I’m surprised they haven’t fired at us yet, they usually try to do anything to get their prisoners back. Though it has to be with good reason.” He turned toward his platoon, “Smith!?”

The platoon’s radioman ran up to the platoon leader, and unhooked his receiver. “Smith, radio to HQ, report what’s happened, and ask what we should do.”

“Aye Sah.” The corporal said, he then dialed into the correct channels and made his report. It was going to be a tough call, though the prisoner had belonged to the Japanese, he had quite literally ran into the Mediaman custody the moment he had escaped and hid behind the marines.

The lieutenant looked between the Krenorussian and Mediaman patrol and the Japanese patrols, each glaring at each other as tension could easily be felt in the North African heat. “I’d advise you to hold your men back if you want to remain neutral in this son, ‘lest you get caught up in any of the potential bloodbath.” The lieutenant advised, as he waited for a response from his superiors, or from the Japanese.

Of course the IFVs and M113s turning their turrets towards the Japanese FOB didn't go unnoticed, almost as quickly as it happened, IJA and IJRG troops lined the walls, their helmets peaking over the side while what could be seen was mostly troops armed with Type 64 battle rifles, Type 62 machine guns, and some with Panzerfaust 3s. The Tozama and IJA soldier took their places back inside of the FOB. However there was an unexpected turn.

Down the street a large group of men and women could be heard marching down the street behind the Mediamans, sadly for the Krenorussians and Mediamans, it wasn't reinforcements. It was a column of IJA troops with a small group of IJRG in tow behind them. The frontman of the column carried the banner of the Japanese Empire while behind him two high grade NCOs followed while behind them the rest of the battalion followed, to the side of the Battalion was a man clearly dressed as an officer marched with his men past the Mediamans and the Krenorussians, paying them no mind.

The column reached the FOB and stopped at the gates of it before the officer, waiting behind him for the commanding officer to come out. Possibly much to the surprise of both the Mediamans and the Krenorussians, it turned out the Fudai wasn't in charge, but a vassal retainer, his uniform being only slightly different from the Fudai's with it being red with purple trim. "Captain, it's nice to see a relief force." The Vassal Retainer said as he saluted the IJA captain, the Fudai bowed her head to the captain and the captain in turn bowed his head to the Vassal Retainer and the Fudai. "I'm glad to be of help. ....Speaking of which, what is the situation with these... Westerners?" The captain asked as he, the Vassal Retainer and the Fudai walked around the column to see the Krenorussians and Mediamans, however keeping their distance. "Apparently they of course don't like how communists are dealt with in Japanese territory." The Vassal Retainer said before he motioned to the scattered dead bodies of the QPRA prisoners let go.

"Of course. The west as you and I know are devoted to those damnable Geneva conventions and protecting those prisoners." The captain said, clasping his hands together behind his back. "Anyway. Shall we begin rotation?" The IJA captain asked, looking to the Vassal Retainer. "Yes, though we may have to send for troop trucks or APCs, these... Westerners would probably try to arrest us while we're trying to leave." The Vassal Retainer said with a sigh. "Yes, I can see how that would be an issue. .... Alright we can make the arrangements." The captain said.

Archpastor George III Earnestson looked at the map of the city of Al-Habanah as he discussed with the appointed head of the Krenorussian militiamen in Qaidi, James Simon-Benjamin, also known as 'the Manluete' - a special forces veteran of one of the most troubled and violent times in Krenorus - on where patrols would best go in order to protect the Krenorussians living outside the 'safety' of the Krenorussian settlement inside the Japanese-controlled Port Qadir. It was going well, both of the men were confident that the Krenorussians were going to be safe. After all, the populace was quite supportive and happy with the Krenorussians. Simon-Benjamin took a cigarillo and lit it. He began to smoke it and puff the air into the room. The smoke quickly dissipated though and it seemed that the Archpastor was not bothered. Archpastor Earnestson started drinking some Qaidi coffee which he had bought from a Qaidi stall vendor. Suddenly, a man - who was running - stopped right in front of the tent where he was quickly asking the two militiamen outside to let him in so that he could talk with the Archpastor.

The Archpastor quickly halted drinking the coffee and wiped his lips with a piece of smooth white tissue while walking to the door. "What is it, friend?" he asked the militiaman. "Sir, the Japanese have just executed prisoners in front of our faces!" the man quickly said, taking deep breaths. Simon-Benjamin and the Archpastor looked at each other in an effort to see the other's reaction. The man said he was 'Jimmy Marshalls' and quickly explained all they had seen. The Archpastor slowly stepped back. Simon-Benjamin quickly intervened, "Send a Score there, immediately."

A Score was a Krenorussian militia saying referring to a group of twenty soldiers, hence the name, Score. The militiaman told them where the incident took place. One of the lieutenants of the Manleute, Uriel de Bruyse, rushed to rally a Score of men. Meanwhile, Archpastor Earnestson went to a vintage 60's telephone on a desk and dialled the number of an Allanean official a good friend of his had given him. That official was Peter Nizhinsky. Beep, Beep... the phone still wasn't ringing. Soon, it cut to an automated voice telling the usual: Press '1' to send a voicemail. The Archpastor did just that.

"Hello? Mister Nizhinsky, I wish to issue a complaint. Such a complaint is the fact that the Japanese are executing prisoners. I have received information from a soldier of a fireteam that they saw the Japanese killing what looked to be Communist prisoners by sending them out of the gates running towards a Mediaman Marine patrol and shooting them, probably trying to provoke them. The rest of the fireteam is with the Mediamen. I hope you will respond. Thank you.

Regards,
Archpastor George III Selaphiel Earnestson of the Free Anglo-Krenorussian Church and the Krenorussian-Qaidi Missionary Programme".

Later

Lieutenant de Bruyse watched as the two trucks - both loaded with ten chaps each - left the Krenorussian 'settlement' in Port Qadir. The trucks were green and had Krenorussian flags on them. One of the trucks were from the militia group: 'Frederickstown Loyal Light Foot' ( F.L.L.F. ). The other was known as the 'Krenorussite Independent Loyal Militiamen', known as 'K. I. L. T.' It was formed in the 18th century when the term 'Krenorussian' had not come about. There were two squads - both of them consisted of five men each - The leading squad was Paulle Squad, lead by Nelsonne Paulle. He was a French-Krenorussian who served in the Imperial Police of Upperton - a mainly Anglo city - making it all the way to become a Head Constable's Bodyguard. In fact, he was a good friend of Ryker Burns, the squad leader of Burns Squad, which was with the Mediamen at the location of the execution.

"Lieutenant de Bruyse!" a man called out. As de Bruyse quickly looked back, he knew who the man calling to him was. "Pastor von Maur," de Bruyse said as he opened his arms and hugged the man, "what is it, my friend? We haven't seen each other since the departure." The pastor looked happy as both of them stopped hugging. "All is well in me, brother in Christ. I wish for you to have knowledge of what I have just learned," Pastor von Maur responded. They continued talking and when they finished, de Bruyse was quite surprised. After all, what von Maur had got from his 'contact' in the Sultanate Remnant was frankly... horrific. A Betrayal? How?

Meanwhile, Paulle and his squad - along with the other squad in the truck - watched the semi-crowded streets as their truck, followed by the second truck drove through. They had a 90's radio with them. One of them put in a CD titled, 'Cream & Shite'. A song started playing.

In the white room with black curtains near the station,
Blackroof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings.
Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes,
Dawnlight smiles on you leaving, my contentment.

The psychedelic rock song continued. "Fockin' good song, mate," one of the militiamen of the second squad said as most of the men of both squads quietly tapped their feet. "Clapton's a great chap," another militiaman said. Soon, the song got into Clapton's solo. By the time, the song was starting to end, the trucks had reached their destination. They looked on as the Japanese soldiers on the walls looked at them. The soldiers looked quite peculiarly at the 'Western Music' the militiamen were playing. "They must have been thinking about our great music while they have their rubbish march songs," Paulle said to one of his men as they stopped between the Mediamen and Burns Squad and the Japanese, giving their allies cover.

"I’d advise you to hold your men back if you want to remain neutral in this son, ‘lest you get caught up in any of the potential bloodbath," the Mediaman Lieutenant said to Sergeant Burns. "Mate," Burns said with a smirk. "We Krenorussian militiamen are brave, especially those who are army veterans. We love uh' bloodbath."

Meanwhile another song had started playing from the radio. The Krenorussian reinforcements who had come out also took the radio and laid it behind the cover of the truck's rubber wheels. Nelsonne Paulle walked up and shook the Lieutenant's hand right after shaking the hand of Burns. "Good to see you, budde'," Paulle said as he took his FN FAL and got into cover. The twenty men who had reinforced the current Krenorussians and Mediamen were already behind the cover of the trucks and were ready to fire. The two drivers were also behind the safety of the cover. It was all up to what the Mediamen and the Japanese would do now.

From:Grand Ambassador Peter Nizhinsky, Speaker-to-Slavers and Regional Appointee for the Qaidi Crisis
Subject: Your complaint

Dear Archpastor Earnestson!

I am informed that the Japanese soldiers operating currently in the region are for some reason acting irresponsibly and that this could lead to tensions with Mediama. Rest assured that I will immediately contact the Mediamans and Japanese and look for a solution. I am deeply disturbed by the breaches of firearm safety procedures involved in executing terrorists in a situation where stray bullets could overpenetrate or miss their targets, and end up injuring coalition troops or civilians. As a Freeman, let me assure you that proper firearm safety has been taught to me in my childhood. I would never do such a terrible irresponsible thing! Even if I were to be executing a QPRA fighter, I would at least ensure a proper backstop when they were shot.

I will certainly lodge an appropriate message with the Japanese military. I hope that proper safety precautions are observed when further child-murderers are dispatched in the future. I hope that this addresses your concerns.

Yours respectfully,
Peter Nizinsky

By now, Qaidi media had gathered at the site of the incident. Cameras filmed what was happening as the Japanese lined the wall with their assault rifles. The Qaidi media then interviewed the last surviving soldier of the QPRA soldiers sent out. He told the media how they were all simply recruits, none of them older than thirty. The QPRA soldier - who called himself Khairy - said that he and his friends were treated poorly and often kicked in the stomach after being given dirty rice, pork, and water, making them vomit. He said that the Japanese told him and his friends that they were free and sent them through the gate. They had seen the Japanese do this before; all the men they 'freed' died, by gunshots. As they were 'freed', they made a rush in all directions, as they had agreed. He said that he only survived because he ran in the direction of the Mediamen and the Japanese soldiers were afraid of missing and shooting a Mediaman. However, all the other men were running to civilians, this showed that the Japanese did not care about the civilians. The public broadcasting of this caused a rage among the civilian population. Mobs were starting to form. The Qaidi Provisional Armed Forces sent a truck full of soldiers.

These soldiers soon arrived just as the Krenorussians had finished setting up their trucks. The truck stopped near the site and the soldiers moved there by foot. When they got there, the commander of the twenty soldiers there, Yonatan al-Basli, immediately got between the Krenorussian and Mediamen soldiers and the Japanese. "We are peacekeepers. Please calm down," he said in broken English, before saying the same thing in slightly better Japanese. The Qaidi soldiers immediately split up, with ten of the men joining the Krenorussians and trying to calm them down while the other half went and stood with the commander. Most of the Qaidi rifles were facing the Japanese though since they were more of a threat than the Krenorussians and Mediamen.

All while this was happening, the media was filming this. Some of the PSF - Provisional Security Force - arrived to help calm things down, keeping the media at a safe distance while stopping the increasingly large group of civilian protesters trying to demand the Japanese to leave.

Port Qadir, Al-Habanah, Qaidi.

Regent Ikaruga sighed while he heard the reports. "Truly these westerners are a pain." He said before he put on his white gloves and turned off the radio he was listening. "Going out? Your excellency?" Ikaruga heard off to his right, looking over he saw Mana Tsukuyomi, a Vassal Retainer of the IJRG. "Yes. I'm going out to deal with this... Mess." Mana nodded her head. "Right. Shall I accompany you? Along with my Tozamas and a few Non-nobility?" Mana asked, Ikaruga fully turned to her. "Yes, that shall be needed.... I believe anyway. Bring along a squad or two." Ikaruga said while he walked off to his Komatsu Light Armoured Vehicle, and awaited the rest of the IJRG supposedly to join him. Soon a Type 96 Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carrier, a NBC Reconnaissance Vehicle, and a Type 87 Reconnaissance and Patrol Vehicle. All vehicles were painted black with the crimson stripe around the centre of the vehicle going horizontally around the vehicles. First a Type 90 tank went through the gate, then the Kotmatsu, followed by the Type 96 WAPC, the NBC Recon vehicles, and lastly the Type 87 Reconnaissance and Patrol Vehicle. An hour later, the Tank would be blaring a foghorn causing the crowds to separate them, clearing the way for the IJRG convoy and the Regent.

Imperial Japanese Army/Imperial Japanese Royal Guard outpost, Al-Habanah, Qaidi

A clear zone was kept around the outpost by the Imperial Army reinforcements, so the convoy was able to easily get through at that point, stopping in the zone, first to pile out of the vehicles were the IJRG in full battle gear which consisted of their standard uniforms matching bullet proof vests, elbow and knee protection with helmets of course matching with the IJRG's style. Then four tozamas, vassal retainer Tsukuyomi and a non-nobility member stood at the back passenger door, opening it, Regent Ikaruga Takatsugu came out and looked over the crowds. Every civilian present who had seen the IJRG before now had to wonder. Who was this man in the blue uniform with gold trim?

"Your excellency...." Tsukuyomi said, bowing her head to the Regent while he looked over to the Mediamans and the Krenorussians. "Of course. ...I should've known this would have something to do with them." The regent said while he was in full view of everyone. The QPAF, the Mediamans, the Krenorussians, and Qaidi civilians. "Yes, sir." Mana said while the vassal retainer, fudai, tozama, and the IJA captain from the reinforcements earlier came out, the Captain, Tozama, and Fudai bowed their heads to the Regent while the Vassal Retainer saluted him. "Your excellency..." The Vassal Retainer said then bowed his head. "Makabe Sukerokurou... Hmm. Well. What's this all about then?" Ikaruga asked while the crowd was still loud as ever.

Haiqal bin Ali albasnu Akhbarulassam Hospital

The firemen were still searching the wreckage. After all, Haiqal bin Ali albasnu Akhbarulassam Hospital was a massive decommissioned hospital. After being closed, the hospital became a haven for drug addicts, before the RIMP made it a base. The base was abandoned, along with the military police gear inside the building. The QPRA then occupied the base and took most of the equipment. However, some parts of the building were blown up or damaged by the Qaidi and Allanean bombs which landed on Tripoli and the Japanese invasion. The pro-Japanese militia - Qaidi True Protection Army, QTPA - then set up their base there. From there, they launched anti-communist operations, where civilians with 'anti-Japanese and anti-Qaidi devious tendencies' were 'neutralised'. These operations were largely successful. However, this attack, which had killed many QTPA fighters, had severely weakened pro-Japanese militia influence in the area and Tripoli. Since the Japanese invasion force in Tripoli - which was stopped at the beaches - was not in many of the areas in Tripoli, it was wise for many in Qaidi to assume they relied on pro-Japanese militias. After all, many knew that most Qaidis saw the Japanese as foreigners and that more would listen to an Arab than a Japanese.

The burning down of this hospital was assumed by nearly all the political factions of Qaidi to be a weakening of Japanese power in Tripoli, specifically the power of the pro-Japanese militias. The fascists, which had now regrouped now under the 'Arab Peoples' Army of Freedomfighters', also known as the APAF, had begun attacks against the pro-Japanese militia. These attacks were supported by communist and socialist militias and were ignored by the PSF and QPAF, considering Japanese power was weakening. But now, since the PGQ was quite happy with the Japanese, they began to start investigations into these incidents. The QPRA still controlled the south of Tripoli but were falling back and leaving booby-traps while using guerilla warfare.

The man overseeing this investigation was Colonel Jamil Tomiaka-Ahmed, a man of mixed-Japanese-Qaidi descent who was strangely appointed as the man to oversee investigations in Tripoli after the sudden pro-Japan statements and actions the PGQ had done. However, the PGQ was still very divided, with the anti-Japanese having considerable power. Colonel Tomiaka-Ahmed had come in his armoured Mercedes-Benz. He watched on as the firemen searched the wreckage of the hospital. As they searched, one of the firemen gave a bullet shell to the Colonel. It read showed the type of bullet, but it also showed where it was made: Aswan Bullets. "Bingo," the Colonel said to himself.

Shogun Mitsurugi sighed, it was finally time. Time to write a communique she knew very well could be useless. She was familiar with countries such as Qaidi, mostly being predominantly Islamic, in what way could the ever possibly think to heed the word of herself? She was a woman after all and she knew very well how women were viewed in certain forms of Islam. Could her words possibly fall flat? Could war be likely inevitable? Who knows. However for a favourable look on history, she had to atleast try to talk some sort of sense in the one faction that wasn't idiotically motivated by words of a dead man who believed in a classless utopia, or people who would follow in the footsteps of men like Hitler. ....And certainly not a bunch of religious nut jobs who believed blowing themselves up might yield a reward of a harem. The UDC and the Sultanate were in Meiya's eyes the two factions left in Qaidi that she could work with. ....Well. If the UDC fell out of line then she'd probably just deal with them in the usual way. Same with the sultanate but atleast she already had a hold on the UDC so it wasn't very likely. But the Sultanate? Just a bunch of old men afraid of change. Afraid of Japan, likely. As Japan lead the forefront of technological development both in the civilian sector, and the military one.

"This.... Might very well be a waste of my time. But. Oh well. With it written and set off, I can atleast walk away with saying I tried." Meiya said before she began to type out a communique for the remnants of Qaidi's sultanate. She did hope to avoid a conflict with them so that lives of the Imperial Japanese Army, Navy, and Royal Guard might be saved but it was at this time just a hope. One she hoped just for once in the case of peace. She was right..... Even though she knew realistically. She wasn't.

Good Evening. As you should indeed be aware. I am Shogun Meiya Mitsurugi, the overall supreme commander of the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces, ruler of the Japanese Empire, Head of State and Government. It has come to my attention by way of General Kitagou Ayaka, the sole commander of the Imperial Army of Japan in Qaidi, that it's suspected by her that your government would have the notion of turning whatever strength may remain with it against the Japanese Empire and the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. I am aware such an idea may come from a misunderstanding as to Japan's own interests in Qaidi. It is of my own interest that Qaidi be built up after this war against the foes of the UDC and the Shogunate of Japan. To the standards, albeit with the current situation, likely with the strong, guiding hand of I. The Shogun of the Japanese Empire, Japan has lifted nations such as the Republic of China(A member state of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere), the Kingdom of Siam, The Kingdom of Vietnam, and many other member states, as a society, economically, and possibly militarily. However it has become clear after running into the same problem over and over.... That a foe of my predecessor, Shogun Yashiro Kujou. Was right in his saying "Destroy the old world, build the new world." Though. I hope this certainly will not be the case with your government and I do hope your government realises the only way forward is a peaceful path with Japan.

Signed. The Shogun of The Empire of Japanese Pacific States, Head of State, Government, and Military, Her Imperial Majesty, Shogun Mitsurugi Meiya

Re: The Sultanate Remnant's view on the Japanese Pacific States

Assalam Alaikum,

Madam Shogun, the Sultanate Remnant is neutral in the warfare that has befallen the ill-born and loathsome Provisional Government of Qaidi, with their Communist pandering, defending child-killers. It is our sincerely-held belief in Allah, the true God of the Moon, that this provisional government is nothing but a piece of wretchedness. The Sultanate Remnant has no ill-wishes against neither the Japanese nor the Krenorussians nor the rest of the Coalition, including the Austrians and the Allaneans. As the evidence shows, the Sultanate Remnant has never moved out of its territory except for the purposes of combating the Sharia Coalition misguided men and the communist Qaidi Peoples' Socialist Republic. In fact, the Sultan's Royal Army of Qaidi has already made gains in QPSR territory. It is expected that the SRAQ will get to Tunis soon. There, we will begin the siege of the city, before taking it back from the dirt-ridden Communists who plague this land with their anti-Islamic and anti-Japanese ideas! Just to repeat, we are neutral in this 'conflict' except for the misguided Sharia Coalition and the Communist scum.

Thank you and May Allah Bless You, Madam Shogun.

Yours sincerely,

Rayiyas Al-Sultan Ibrahim Jamal al Syed Mohammad Syafiq

Islam or Freedom: A Call for Help (IC | Invite Only)

Postby The Qaidi Peoples Socialist Republic » Fri Sep 28, 2018 6:04 am

Tripoli

Many of the streets of Tripoli were littered with the blood of civilians, the communist fighters, and the soldiers of the Qaidi Provisional Armed Forces. Just in the morning a few weeks ago, a small skirmish erupted as new patrolling groups - QPRA and QPAF - ran into each other. It was bloody. There was a boy by the name of Danial al-Gabrial, a boy only seventeen-years-old who volunteered to join the QPAF, to serve his country which had oppressed him for his religion and to get away from his bullies at the school he went to, where he was forced to pretend to be a Muslim. He could only use the toilet stalls and not the public urinals. He was bullied and labelled a 'girl' for that. It was only after the PGQ took power that he was able to reveal his true religion. And for that, he was beaten up. This was why he joined the military, to make an escape. His parents encouraged this since they were moving to the more modern cities, where they could live on the 'pensions' that private charities were giving out to the old. When he joined the military, he felt a sense of brotherhood with his companions, both Muslim and Christian. They had been his comrades for a few months already. Now, Al-Gabrial was in the firefight as he saw his friends gunned down. He was the only one left and was forced to play dead as the QPRA soldiers, just a few years older than him, passed. One of them decided to urinate on him as the rest soon followed urinating on the rest of the men. Danial's hair was sprayed with urine, after all, that was where the soal was supposed to be. Soon, the QPRA soldiers left. As Danial got up, he felt an emotion overcome him. Just as he got up he had fallen to his knees and had begun weeping for his friends, not bothered by the stench of urine.

As Danial finished weeping, he said a prayer to the Lord. Save me, Lord. Save them as well. As he finished this prayer, he looked into the distance. He saw a QPRA soldier whose head - except for the eyes - was completely covered by a cloth. Danial watched as the man took aim at him. As the man contemplated what the PQAF soldier was doing there, not running, Danial made the sign of the cross and knelt down, praying. The QPRA soldier approached Danial. He saw what he was doing and immediately lowered his AK-47 assault rifle.

Danial's life flashed between his eyes as the man reached out his hand, also ignoring the stench of urine. Danial took it and stood up. The man immediately, without any resistance from Danial, tied up his hands and watched as a jeep rolled by. There were two men on the four-seater jeep. There was a large radio by them. "Get on, prisoner," the man said as Danial got on, relieved and hoping that he had just been saved. As the jeep rolled on, one of the men asked, "What are we going to do with this prisoner?" The man responded by saying, "We do what any nation would do, keep them imprisoned with the other prisoners of war" Danial then felt a pain on the back of his head and fell unconcious., slumping onto the floor of the jeep. When he awoke, he was being carried and dumped with other prisoners, all alive.

Danial was happy - unlike most of the other prisoners - as they were taken into the gate. They were thrown into a massive cell where little food was given, Danial barely managed to survive. At night, when the guards were sleeping, a QPRA soldier would come to document and take pictures of them. He told them he was a deserter who was going to give this to the PGQ authorities. After a few days, he and the other prisoners were given even less food. After a week, most were starving. Please give me salvation, Lord. He would always pray. Finally, they were rounded up and blindfolded. They put their arms on each other shoulders in a straight line as they were led out. They found themselves in a street soon after walking, it was empty. The prisoners were made to form a circle by the commanding officer, who called them 'capitalist pig scum'. As the soldiers, armed with weapons surrounded them, Danial soon found out that the Lord was going to save him in another way.

As the guards took aim, the men stood in fear. Many had taken off their blindfolds, Danial was an exception. While many men tried to hide behind one another and a fight broke out as men tried to get to the centre, Danial stayed calm. The soldiers soon took aim. "What the hell!" the man who had saved Danial shouted from the jeep as he and his comrades had come to see where the prisoners were going to. "Aren't they prisoners of war?" he asked, to no responses from his comrades. He watched as the guards fired and dust went up into the air, mixed with blood, sweat and tears. When it was over, only Danial remained still blindfolded, still standing. The officer confused walked up to Danial and took his knife and cut open the blindfold, cutting a bit of Danial's skin in the process. Danial still remained calm, closing his eyes as blood ran down his face. He looked into the bright blue sky with the white clouds. There's heaven. He thought.

The officer slowly walked in the opposite direction. "Who are you thinking of?" he asked antagonistically. "Yesu'," Danial responded. "Christian Capitalist Imperial Scum!" the officer shouted while quickly turning around and stabbing Danial in the stomach. He lingered before pulling the knife out, Danial still stood... before falling on his back, looking to heaven... as he saw an angel coming to pick him up...

"F*cking Christians... and Muslims too," the officer said while walking in the direction of his troops as they lined up and marched back. "Fucking shit..." the man who rescued Danial said. "That's war for you," his comrade said. "I guess so... All is fair in Love and War."

"Turn on the radio, will you?" his comrade asked. So, he did. A new western song was starting to play. "Sounds like the old ones. Especially the piano," his comrade said as they started driving... "Yeah," he responded.

Now they were driving on the highway, freedom! The wind blew through their slightly long hair, as many QPRA soldiers - especially the youth (17 years old - 30 years old) - sported. The melody was simply attracting and harmonious. In fact, it was simply an energy-giver. The men were immediately drawn to the song. "Amazing," one of them said. Makes me feel like I'm alive! the radio went. The jeep kept going faster as the men took off their hats and caps to stop them from flying off. "I love the wind in my hair," one of his comrades said. Alihamza, he was called, the man who saved Danial. His comrades, Frederik, Adam, and Yusuf. Yusuf was not patrolling with them on the day Alihamza saved that QPAF soldier. By now, he was happy. After all, he had only known that QPAF soldier for a few minutes. "God is good," Frederik said, breathing the air. "If he exists," Yusuf responded. "Same here, Yusuf," Alihamza responded.

Tripoli was kind of beautiful, even though it was a war zone. The sky was great, clouds in the air; sun brightly shining. It was a bright afternoon. Also, there was some good news for the QPRA, they had heard of an incident where a pro-Japanese hospital-turned-base had been burnt down. The music added to the scenic sense of the city. It really embodied Tunis though. It was an extremely popular song there. After all, many songs were allowed by the ruling QPSR into Tunis, except some modern songs, due to obvious sexual references. Southern and Classic Rock was a favourite among the populace of Tunis, where many rock bands formed.

In fact, QPRA soldiers were very much into Rock. Its informal sense resonated with the QPRA soldiers, many of whom were dressed like well-armed militiamen, with all sorts of personal symbols and tattoos on them. Frederik sported a tattoo of a pouncing lion.

As their jeep got to the next checkpoint they were supposed to go to, the music had ended. The men were shocked. Everyone there had been massacred, all their bodies mangled. The officer commanding the checkpoint had his head on a stick. A note was on the ground next to the stick. It read, 'Glory be to Allah. Death to the Infidel.' Frederik immediately went to the jeep's radio. "Command, we are at checkpoint B1. Something has gone wrong..." as he quickly glanced to the right, he saw a man dressed in a black suit, a golden cross he was wearing. "Time to die, infidels," he said as more men came out, armed with BH-183 Assault Rifles. "Shit," Alihamza said as his world suddenly went back.

After a while, he heard a few words... "Botros, come on! We need to go!"

"Message from HQ sah, they're telling us the Japs are allowing us to keep 'im, somethin' about god playing a hand in 'is fate or somethin'" The radioman reported to Briggston.

The lieutenant nodded, "Very well, get him away from the press and stow 'im in the APC for safe keeping, from up a diamond formation around the armored column and clear the way for us to withdraw, the Japanese have already brought in reinforcements, and I don't want any civvies to get hurt if anything happens."

"Got it, sah." The radioman turned to spread the orders. And so the marines keeping watch on the prisoner gently nudged him toward one of the APC's farther back, all the while trying to keep the press back away from harm. Quickly, the marines had formed a perimeter around the column of APC's and IFV's.

Meanwhile, Briggston gestured for his fireteam leaders to walk towards him, and then turned to the Qaidi and Krenorussian fireteam leaders, causing sort of a makeshift huddle. "Push the group out of the streets so that we can withdraw, and get them out of harm's way just in case this escalates. We've now received custody from HQ for the prisoner, and I do not want this to get worse. Tell your men to hold fire until you are sure you are fired upon, understood?"

The Mediaman platoon leader looked over the leader's shoulders, past the peacekeepers and toward the Japanese, two lines had formed between the Qaidi and Japanese forces, and as he waited for a response, he hoped the tenuous peace between the Japanese occupation forces, the Qaidi Provisional Government, and the Krenorussian Militias wouldn't collapse at that very moment. For though he himself personally hated the Japanese occupational force for not being there when the previous regime had collapsed, he as sure as hell wasn't going to put the lives of innocent people at stake, nor forfeit the fragile alliance they had now, his own commission, and his word and honor as a Mediaman officer to fulfill his own personal vendetta.

Lieutenant Briggston said as he, Ryker Burns and Nelsonne Paulle, and the Qaidi commander, Yonatan al-Basli huddled.

Commander al-Basli nodded before saying in broken English, "Okay, Lieutenant. I will order my men to do so." He immediately left the huddle to quickly walk to his men to ordered his second-in-command - Henri al-Yosef - to order the men to push the protesters back to allow for the Mediamen to evacuate. The soldiers immediately joined with the Provisional Security Force to force the protesters to clear a path for the Mediamen. Soon, the path was clear for the Mediamen to leave. PSF and QPAF soldiers held the protesters at bay while al-Basli returned to Lieutenant Briggston. "The path is cleared. You should get going now."

The night before

It had been a month since JAN's last operation. It was time for a new one: This time, it was a hostage rescue. These hostages were valuable as they were scientists being held by the PGQ. They were scheduled for execution after facing a trial on the charges of murder, of which the penalty was death. JAN operatives were to ambush the transportation van carrying the prisoners.

"Get up! Get up!"

Hamid albasnu Abd Abbas woke up to a kick in the stomach. He immediately felt like vomiting, but could only spit out a small puddle of it, considering he had been ill-fed for the past few months in detention. His chest and stomach had gone from being slightly fat to clinging to the bones. The soldier grabbed him by the small flap of fat on his neck and pulled him up. He felt pain as the soldier did it. His cell was dirty with faeces and urine. As the soldier violently dragged him through the dirty grey floors. The dull walls looked at him with death. The few guards patrolling the halls looked at him with disgust as other prisoners begged the prison guard to take them to the execution for they were tired of living. Even the stray dogs could find rotten meat and rubbish to eat, but they had nothing to find but the walls and death.

As he was dragged, other guards followed behind him. Soon, one by one, they went and grabbed some prisoners from their cells. Abd Abbas knew these men very well, for they had been the fellow scientists he had worked with, testing chemical weapons on those deemed, 'Infidels', such as Christians and Jews - Even Jews who paid kizya sometimes were murdered. The murderers were always given short prison sentences, up to a month - who could not pay jizya, Heretics, political dissidents, uncontrolled academics, secular intellectuals, atheists, and heathens. Now, they were sentenced to die for the crimes they had committed against humanity.

They soon exited the concrete temporary prison they were in and were pushed forcefully into an armoured van. The soon started going. The roads of Al-Habanah were very crowded with cars, vans, motorcycles, and pedestrians. There were no protesters in sight as this was in the southern part of the city while the port was in the north. As their armoured van headed along the route, they saw that a sign that said there was an unexpected closure and that they would have to make a detour to the right. They did and went into a massive alley which was empty. While going along the alley, their van was stopped by two PSF guards. The guards asked both the two soldiers to step out and give their Identity Papers which were issued to them during the Sultanate. After checking the papers, the two guards asked the men to turn and face the wall so they could be patted down. They refused until being told that it was now the procedure to now search all persons who had their Identity Papers checked. They reluctantly agreed. As they faced the wall, they thought of why the PSF guards were wearing gloves.

Meanwhile, the one man in the back of the van with the prisoners thought what was happening. He thought he heard something fall, but decided to brush it off. Soon, the doors opened and one of the PSF guards shot him through the forehead with a silenced pistol. "We are here to help you," the guard said. The body was thrown out and the van soon left, heading out of Al-Habanah. The van went through alleyways to get past checkpoints. Normally, the alleyways would have patrols in them, but today most of the patrols were diverted to control the protests happening. They made it out of Al-Habanah, where they started driving to Aswan.

I am deeply disturbed by the breaches of firearm safety procedures involved in executing terrorists in a situation where stray bullets could over-penetrate or miss their targets, and end up injuring coalition troops or civilians. As a Freeman, let me assure you that proper firearm safety has been taught to me in my childhood. I would never do such a terribly irresponsible thing!

Dear Grand Ambassador Peter Nizhinsky,

Your response is most appreciated. I applaud and thank you for contacting the military of Japan to report this issue. I will call back all Krenorussian militiamen currently at the sight of the incident, as to not incite any violent skirmish where many would pass away due to a misunderstanding. I hope the perpetrators of this civilian-endangering execution which might have also wounded Mediamen will be brought to justice.

Yours sincerely,
Archpastor George III Selaphiel Earnestson

Coastal Highway, Benghazi

It had been working well for the Allaneans at first. The division pushed forward with ease, and at first it seemed that would be able to swoop along the coast within days. There were, of course, ambushes, but it was not hard – not at first, at least – for the soldiers to fight of the QPRA guerrillas. At first, it seem that they were winning with ease – competent, well-armed troops, against guerrillas who could barely read.

Soon, however, the QPRA taught them their first lesson.

It was simple – a column of BMPs, passing by a large, extremely dirty garbage container. The smell emanating from the large, bent, rusty box discouraged the troops from examining it too closely.

The guerrillas waited until the second vehicle in the convoy was directly next to the rusty box to flip the control – a simple house light switch, rigged to a long telephone phone cable, buried a finger's depth in the sand – and activate the box.

The vehicle closest to the garbage container simply ceased to exist, its armored hull shattered, the ammunition onboard then igniting and exploding, several dozen shells exploding amongst burning aluminum and steel causing the bodies of the crew to simply evaporate. Several of the nearby vehicles were flipped over like child's toys. Those who sat on top of the armor outside were tossed off violently, those inside thrown about in the vehicles like so much candy in a metal box. Shrapnel from the explosions scythed through the convoy, punching through metal plating with ease. Inside the vehicles, men screamed as, by total surprise, the angry, shrieking metal sliced through the armor they up until the last moment thought secure now proved no defense.

There was a second explosion, then, at the rear of the convoy. It was even simpler in its design – ironically, an Allanean bomb, which had failed to explode in one of the last bombings. A simple fuze, a long cable, and some sand to cover it at the side of the highway – and now, a half-ton aviation bomb caused the ground behind the Allanean convoy to shake.

Then, of course, the QPRA attacked – machine gunners at the column's front, grenadiers at its side, striking at once at vehicles that, for briefest moments, were nothing but immobile targets.

Some other soldiers might have freaked out, huddled behind their vehicles, or even ran, and been butchered by the ambush.

These were not other soldiers.

These were Freemen.

"Men! Fix bayonets!"

Of the rifle company, perhaps a platoon could be found to act atg the command. But it did act. Measured, accurate rifle fire, anti-tank rockets, the guns of the few BMP's that remained functional met the QPRA soldiers – and then, of course, the platoon counterattacked.

At the end, they would of course chase down and kill the ambushers.

But what did that mean? What victory was this?

Rifle Company C, 2nd Battalion, of the traded thirty men dead, and perhaps fifty injured, for twenty of the enemy. It was simply not a company anymore.

Other QPRA attacks were less spectacular – a suicide bomber with a pair of claymore mines strapped to him at a busy intersection, a bomb planted in a manhole cover – and, of course, ambushes, ambushes, ambushes. Many of these were now carried out not even by regular QPRA troops – which were still much less trained and worse armed then the Allaneans – but by local civilians, which, inexplicably, continued to back the QPRA. Naturally, many of these people died. In most cases, the body count was not on the QPRA's side as it was at that fateful roadside ambush that destroyed Rifle Company C.

But it became clear that the daring plan of having a single tank division change the balance of power in Eastern Qaidi had failed. The fact was that the Allaneans had simply failed to understand the local culture, and the respect that the QPRA commanded from the public. Despite the murders of hundreds of Qaidite children, despite the large-scale destruction of homes, businesses, infrastructure in a scorched earth campaign, despite the cannibalism – citizens of the Qaidi People's Socialist Republic saw in the People's Revolutionary Army their saviors.

A new plan had to be worked out.

The Division's route had now been altered. The First Regiment would spread along the Wadi Alrabie Road and Second Ring Road, down to the Airport. The Second Regiment would move up Airport Highway and turn to Swani-Enjela, and then turn further East, through the farmland to the East of Zawija district. The rest – The Third Tank Regiment and the Rifle Regiment – would move to the airport, to reinforce their allies.

As they arrived, the Allanean troops began to dig positions at major intersections, establish checkpoints, and spread barbed wire. The result of it would, of course, meant that Tripoli would soon be cut off from guerrilla reinforcements.

There was, of course, another group of people hard at work. They seemed to be doing something quite purposeless to the untrained eye. They collected fragments of exploded IEDs, and, where someone had managed to prevent an explosion, the IEDs themselves. Fingerprints, fragments of hair, photographs of individuals seen near the Allanean positions – all of this was meticulously collected. Overhead, reconnaissance drones continued to circle, collecting photographs of individuals and groups, even vehicle license plates.

What the Allaneans planned to do with this knowledge, this remained to be seen.

Both Burns and Paulle nodded and walked off. They ordered their troops to get back onto the trucks and prepared to leave. They would leave and follow behind the Mediamen once they left. The Qaidi seemed to be holding back the protesters, for now.
