Usually the go to number is 1-2 % for larger nations, keeps the mega populations of NS from turning it into a spam fest.

In that case, I would have a standing army of about 50-100 million, and a reserve of 400 Million or so. Thats still huge; not counting the fact that all citizens have to spend a mandatory 2 years in the army reserve and to receive basic military training (I recall one of the issues being face with was conscription).

What would tech levels be determined by?
This nation a funsion between capitalism and social democracy (the only type of socialism made to actually be incorporated into capitalist governments rather than trying to destroy it).

I'm back.

Alright, so I kind of forgot about this thread. But given the recent lack of RPs to join, I've considered revitalizing this thread idea.

The way I see it, we should start it casually. Moves are made through Challenging another nation. So for example:

Nation 1: 200,000 Troops receive M1911s, far superior than Nation 2's Revolvers. (Challenge: Arms Manufacturing)
Nation 2: A Nation 2-backed revolution in NATION1CAPITAL occurs, killing 12 people. (Challenge: v.s Your Political Freedoms)

I'm interested, but make sure you start when NS drops that idiotic assumption that Amenria is corrupt soon.

Also, autocracy isn't supposed to be opressive. The whole point if autocracy is benevolence.
