Near Nusayastatt
Task Force Sierra
Carrier Group Enterprise
NNS NCC-101 Enterprise

"Enterprise, stop the countdown. Order fleet to hold fire!" Captain Waters sat in his chair in surprise at the quick response from not one, but two different entities in the area; none of them being Azens. Intelligence in this area had been iffy at best, but he was told to expect minimal, if any, allied casualties from the bombardment. This was totally unexpected, to say the least, and complicated even further by the fact that he had no idea how many more people would there.

"Captain, AEWACS data is coming in. We've detected surface radar signatures within gun range, seventy kilometers to the north. AEWACS has been swept by search and track radar, and we're gathering electronic data from the signals as we speak." Another surprise from Enterprise, and one that was even more worrying. How could they have missed an entire fleet? Besides, perhaps, them being on passive radar, but this close? It was unheard of in modern times. "Sir, Bastion has responded by aiming her guns at the fleet as we speak. Harrier and Panther are requesting permission to scramble aircraft, and your Air Captain is requesting permission to recall fighters."

"Open a comm channel with the COs, give permission to scramble aircraft, and get our fighter bombers back on deck. Position our escorts between us and the fleet, ASAP, and for the love of god tell them all to hold fire." Waters watched his screen fill with info as the holographic map in front of him began to fill with contacts from radar, sonar, and anything else they could get from any sensors. It was a mess, to say the least, but at least it was not as confusing as they thought it would be. Two bodies over the land split up, with one heading back to the Enterprise, and one heading into a defensive position, ready to intercept aircraft. Four more bodies appeared on the right and left of the Enterprise, as the two escorting carriers launched the aircraft that they had previously held in reserve.

"Affirmative. Comm channel open, Captain."

"Captain Waters, we've got a firing solution on the enemy fleet. Permission to open fire?" The captain of Bastion was not as calm as Waters was, and both Waters and Enterprise could see that. It could be a problem in the future.

"Sebastian, I swear to God, stand down now. Stand down now! That is a goddamned order." Waters ran his hand across his face in frustration at the trigger happiness of his fellow Captains. Bloody idiots at diplomacy, but good commanders. Just not what he needed right now.

"That is CAPTAIN Sebastian to you, CAPTAIN Waters!" Sebastian was right, but it was not the time for that.

"And if you fire without authorization, you'll be the Late Captain Sebastian. The situation is under control. Hold your position and wait for your orders." Waters turned to the commanders of the helicopter and assault carriers nearby, who were sitting down and watching the two highest ranking officers fight with their words. "Commanders, I may need you to assist the Valarans in their evacuation, if they accept it, in addition to landing troops and/or providing evacuation at the Esgonian Consulate. Can you do this?"

"We can promise heavy cargo helicopters to the assistance of evacuation, but it will be tricky to handle with so many aircraft in the skies. I'll see if I can get the Valkyrie pilots to open their doors to refugees as well. The problem there then, Captain, is that we may not have enough room on our ship to handle the flow, and the troops." One of the commanders made a good point. "But we shall do as ordered, sir."

"Good. Standby for orders, and brief the pilots. Standby." Waters turned in his seat to face the shore. He brought up the transcripts of the two responses and put them side by side, then pushed it to the left. "Enterprise, open up a comm channel with the two frequencies."

"Affirmative, sir." Two separate windows opened up on his screen, which showed the recorded transcript and noise level on them for the requested frequencies. "You are free to speak, sir."

"Attention Esgonian and Valaran parties. This is Captain Waters of Task Force Sierra, USSN Navy. We have received your response and are ceasing hostilities. What is your current Status?"
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

Freewater, Sornia - Federation of Sishai(FoS)
18:01 - Jan 22, 2018

Radio chatter and radar signatures were alerted to Kalodskii, the Rear Admiral and commander of Task Force 15. She had prepared for hostiles and competent combatants from regional powers within Sornia although had not expected another foreigner other than Dominion forces. "They request our identification, Rear Admiral. It seems as if they do not know we are the Imperial Navy. They identify themselves as the CPD fleet, as I recall they are contractors from the Remnant. Awaiting further orders." a subordinate stated. Kalodskii thought for a moment, she had just sent a majority of her surface action group[1] to refuel and replenish supplies. If she needed reinforcement she would have to make a call to send them back and risk diminishing supplies before the CSG[2] could be sent out to Freewater. She knew that was already taking weeks to prepare for. The only resources she had was for the land deployment, the destroyer and submarine were the only things armed enough to deal with surface hostiles. Kalodskii had to make a decision, and fast.

"Make contact with ICS Aarvisk[3] immediately, tell them to wait for combat authorization. Give me all intelligence on how many ships they have present, I want that destroyer ready to identify all targets if necessary. Ready comms." Kalodskii demanded. She swiftly moved across the bridge of the commanding ship. One of the enlisted began to give out the message she prepared for over the radio, "This is the Imperial Cirillian Navy, by the command of her Imperial & Royal Majesty[4] and blessed holiness of Marii, state your purpose. This is territorial waters of the Sishaii Federatsyia, you are not authorized to enter. Any hostilities toward the Federation of Sishai will be met with retaliation by the full might of the Cirillian Empire." The enlisted declared in Cirillian then repeated it once more in English with a thick Cirillic accent.

In the city, the new government blasted its
Proclamation of the Federation

¨We hereby proclaim the Federation of Sishai. To this, we proclaim jurisdiction over the entirety of former Sornia, now a member of the federation. This we proclaim to our people so that they may enjoy in perpetuity their inherent right to stability, peace, and prosperity.

Behold! A new world is approaching before our very eyes! The age of chaos has receded, and the age of prosperity has arrived. The spirit of humanism cultivated throughout the past century now begins to throw its light on a new chapter in world history. Just as a new spring has come, hastening the rebirth of every living thing, our pulse, once melted in the scorching desert and wasteland, now rebirths in the warm breeze and sunshine.

Today, our only duty is to rebuild ourselves, not to demolish others. We demand the cessation of all hostilities by the SYA, Consord militaries and all other actors! Refusal to comply will be met with senseless fighting. Morality is on our side, and truth marches with us. To begin is to succeed! Let us march straight into Peace and Prosperity!¨
- Major General Yumeli Akaad of the Federation of Sishai
over the entirety of the capital and the surrounding countryside. A soldier rushed to Yumeli Akaad, the forefront leader of the newly proclaimed federation, whispering into his about the foreign movement outside the city. "How far are these troops?" he asked. "Our reconnaissance say only several miles out, sir. We don't know who they are as of yet. Most likely former govt. loyalists. Although we didn't the opposition to have such a big force up here. Most have been focused to down south." the soldier answered. Akaad wondered, quite annoyed by the surprised guests. He knew that any of the disagreeing generals would be further down south toward Aura, not anywhere near the capital. The capital defense division was in the authority of the colonel, Akaad's division and attached brigades[5] were 55 miles out of the city. If the opposing force tried to enter the city, it would only cause more chaos and destruction that he didn' t need. He had to contact the Cirillians about his dilemma, hoping they could be of any help.

Nyraha, Republic of Lish - Federation of Sishai(Pending)
14:11 - Jan 25, 2018

Ysitrikine had guaranteed Lish independence from Azenyanistan and even protected their capital, Nyraha, with their own troops. However, that didn't stop the Cirillians from their ambitions.

"You must understand, Prime Minister, this is the best way forward for your country. Ysitrikine has joined and they ask of you to follow in this fruitful endeavor with them. To prosper together once again, but not under the Azens but together equally." the Cirillian man said, trying to persuade the paranoid women. "And what of the Azens? They cannot simply just walk away from their crimes. Their administration's neglect of the country and failure provide simple necessities." Naajidira quickly asked. "Once everything is in order, the Federation-" the man started to speak however was interrupted by Hempdala's speedy reaction. Naajidira continued to be harsh to man. "You're telling me to join this federation yet it's not even organized to functionally prosecute criminals. You're losing me, Cirillian." The Cirillian smiled and sighed, taking a pause as he laid back to relax a little from his little proposal. "Listen, it seems there is no other way to put it other than being bluntly honest, Prime Minister Hempdala. The entirety of the situation since the beginning has been a bloodbath and chaos. Lish, Sornia, Arzan, and Ysitrikine all fight for this sense of freedom from Azenyanistan. Imagine how long that fighting will take. Even if the Azens are thusly finished, what happens after? The fighting continues. There will still be Azen loyalists, Sornian nationalists wish to take a majority of the region, your country barely has a professional force to defend itself without the help of Ysitrikine. Let alone the fact that economically, Lish cannot sustain itself without large dependence on other nations. With just yourself, it will take hundreds of years to rebuild. Even if you are independent, you will be at the whims and bidding of Ysitrikine or even perhaps the Pakiranis - they will surely offer to help but to only on their own terms. With the Federation, you will be at the least guaranteed the rights as a self-ruling republic, such as Arzan and every other state within the Federation. Joining may seem like you are relinquishing Lishite sovereignty. You are right it is. Although I assume you have looked at all the other options. Compared to the alternatives, it is the best option to allow Lish to have the most freedoms and representation it deserves. The choice is yours to decide, Prime Minister."
