A booming voice recites the opening for the official number 1 Gnobar news station
"You are watching GNS 1, the nations number 1 station since 1972"
The intro screen fades, revealing a news room with a female anchorwoman sitting at a desk looking down at several loose pages.
"Good afternoon. I am Julianne Sant. Our top story, What will Gnobar do? In light of the terrorist attack many people are calling for action against the group responsible for the attack. Last night we opened a poll to see what the public thought on this matter. Now an astonishing amount of people voted right through the night and currently there is a 92% support for war on those responsible. While 6% feel sanctions and embargoes should be put in place. Only 2% of the public feel action shouldn't be taken. The death toll continues to rise as several of those injured have...Oh I'm sorry we are getting some breaking news occurring on this right now at the Parliament building in Gnobar City. Over to our field correspondent Matthew Kirklighter for more."
"Thank you Julianne. I'm standing here, and as you can see there is lots of commotion behind me. Several nations Media's have gathered, as have several protesters. Now if you can see one of the signs in the back behind me reads "Blood for blood! They took my 13 year old!". It is clear there is a lot of emotion buzzing through the nation as people cry out for something to happen. Oh at the top of the steps. It looks like the government are ready to make there plans publicly known."
A man dressed in a suit steps forwards and checks to see if the microphone is on. He clears his throat and speaks.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. Mr.Aidan Bennett, President of the Federation of Gnobar."
A man emerges from the main door of the building accompanied by 4 men wearing black suits. He steps to the microphone and begins to speak.
"Only two days ago our nations was shocked to its very core. As offices took there lunch breaks a car bomb exploded in the capital city centre killing dozens and injuring hundreds. This terrorist act was traced back to a violent minority group known as the Lilliputian Freedom Fighters. A group supported by an unfriendly regime, despising Gnobar for its heathenish ways and political bent, but more particularly for supporting the recent events within the homeland of an ally.
These 'freedom fighters' wish only for one thing. Chaos to engulf our nation. Our nation that has seen so much infighting in it's past. The terrorist organisation known as the Lilliputian Freedom Fighters, would be unable to commit this atrocity if it had not been for foreign aid. Foreign aid traced back to the Kingdom of Chamlec.
As of early this morning at 02:30 our nation has officially been at war with the Kingdom of Chamlec. The declaration of war received complete backing from all 524 official party members holding a seat in government. All citizens who have completed there training from the ages of 21 to 30 are to report to their local military base for further orders.
It is truly a dark time in the worlds history when mad men give the orders to kill dozens of innocents.
